jake · 2004-05-08 NYT: Support for an Olympic Stadium, Only in Queen
A New York Times article goes over David Oat's points about building the stadium in Queens and why that is the only good choice. The article does point out that the Jets owner does not (and probably will not) put money towards a Queens Stadium.
"Mr. Doctoroff has said there is no alternative to the West Side. And L. Jay Cross, president of the Jets, said the team was willing to invest more than any other professional sports franchise because of the potential revenues that exist in Manhattan. He said that the Manhattan site would work in conjunction with the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center when the stadium is converted to a 200,000-square-foot exhibition hall." http://westsidejets.com/fans/jake/all_news/20040508_nyt_support_queens
