"Because I support New York's Olympic dream.
"Because I want to see the world's athletes pursue their dreams and bring the world together through fair competition in a City where every team has a hometown crowd.
"Because the Games would bring tremendous economic benefits, including $11 billion of economic activity and 120,000 person-years of jobs .
"Because the Games would lead to the creation of over 800 acres of new and enhanced parkland in New York City, revitalize the City's waterfront, and be a catalyst for positive development in all five boroughs.
"Because the Games would leave a lasting legacy for sports and New York's youth through the creation and renovation of venues throughout the City.
"Because one of these new venues is the New York Sports and Convention Center which would not only host Olympic Opening and Closing ceremonies and Track and Field events but would leave a lasting legacy for the City by allowing New York to host large conventions, expositions, and great sports events, including the 2010 Super Bowl.
"Because the New York Sports and Convention Center would be a multi-use facility used year-round and would generate $900 million of profit for New York over 30 years, which can be used for critical services, and thousands of jobs.
"And, because New York City is well positioned to win the honor of hosting the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games but cannot win without the approval of the New York Sports and Convention Center before the IOC vote on July 6.
"I support New York's Olympic dream, and I support the New York Sports and Convention Center."
