Re: Jets/Fins Week 13 Predictions
No, it was made before the game. The clock is in 24 hour mode, I posted that at 4:59 AM. And yeah, I think I did a pretty good job in predicting a Jones TD and a Leon TD. But I underestimated the defense here, and I gave the fumble to JMac instead of Smith (that was a toss up in my head the whole time). Plus Coles did end up playing which changed the dynamics slightly. I was expecting to see less pass, more run and a Baker TD. I was accurate on the Rhodes INT, but missed the other two entirely.

Jets/Fins Week 13 Predictions
Jets 24, Dolphins 21.
Kellen Clemens: Passing - 14/27, 103 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, Rushing - 2 for 9 yardsChris Baker, 4 rec, 21 yards, 1 TD
Thomas Jones: Rushing - 34 for 145 yards, 1 TD, Receiving - 2 rec, 12 yards
Leon Washington: Rushing, 2 for 4 yards, Receiving - 1 rec, 13 yards, 1 TD
JMac: 4 rec, 38 yards, 1 fumble.
Brad Smith: 2 rec, 11 yards.
Wallace Wright: 1 rec, 8 yards.
D-Rob: 1 sack
Ellis: 1 sack
David Harris: 2 sacks
Kerry Rhodes: INT
Mike Nugent: 1/1 FG, 28 yards.
This is all assuming Coles doesn't play. However bad the Dolphins may be, Jets will need to fire on all cylinders here. Expect Baker to have some impressive grabs (including a 3 yard TD over the middle from Clemens, set up by play action) and expect JMac not to show up as usual: 38 yards and a fumble at midfield. Rhodes will remain consistent and offer us a turnover inside Fin territory, which will set up a short Nugent field goal which he nearly shanks to the left, possibly before half. The pass rush will be impressive for a 2-9 team, but not completely overwhelming: expect 4 sacks and expect Jet defense to dominate the middle. Like the Jets, Miami will do most of its damage on the ground, expect them to hit the outside running - no matter who they're running with. Miami will avoid kicking to Washington. If he does get his hands on the ball expect modest runbacks: 15-30 yards maximum off of kickoffs but no returns this time. However, Leon will work his magic on a screen from Clemens - and take it in for a score from the 13 yard line. Finally, believe it or not, I'm predicting a Thomas Jones rushing touchdown in a 140+ yard rushing game for him.
