NYT: At Jets Game, a Halftime Ritual of Harassment

NYT:

At halftime of the Jets’ home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, several hundred men lined one of Giants Stadium’s two pedestrian ramps at Gate D. Three deep in some areas, they whistled and jumped up and down. Then they began an obscenity-laced chant, demanding that the few women in the gathering expose their breasts.

While I don't approve of such behavior, I do take objection to the implication that football games elsewhere are packed with saintly fans that never get rowdy. Allegedly, this is a "tradition", which has gone on "for years", yet no news agency has seen fit to discuss it until we find ourselves in the wake of a stunning win.

Also, I was at the Buffalo game and in the area during halftime and saw no such thing. Could be because the stadium was dead though.

It happens at a ton of other stadiums and if that one person doesn't like it, well, they should walk away. Again, if the Meadowlands wanted to change it they could. Jake
