09 Jake: The best place to be is when expectations are high. Get used to it. It's always going to be that way. Welcome to the 106th. episode of the Jet Kingdom podcast, the longest running New York Jets podcast ever. My name is Jake and joining me today on this very special edition in the middle of the offseason, the worst time for all football fans, although he's looking quite earnestly at his computer. It's Justin. Justin, how you doing? I'm doing great. Thank you very much. As good as I can be for an off-season football. But just to quickly mention, the Knicks just picked up Carmelo Anthony, so I'm happy. Yeah, I'm not happy. And spring training started, so I can deal. You're Jets all the way. Yeah. You're married to one team. I cheat on you. So true. We got some stuff to talk about. Believe it or not, the news keeps ticking. It does. It doesn't stop. We're in a real time, 24-7 news cycle. The Jets announced furloughs! Work furloughs. You mean vacations? Unpaid. and on vacation and unasked for They've also announced some increase in prices for ticket prices. I'm sorry what that hmm increased prices lay off workers The Dave Durlson Derson Derson I'll talk about Jenkins battling back Google's Googles, Godel's op-ed. Google wrote an op-ed about the Jets. Yeah, I did and then That's it. We'll wrap it up with any of the news we could figure out between now and then maybe something comes out immediately But first of all, we're gonna talk about sort of the combination of two great tastes that taste great together Which is that the Jets and beer Oh yes, speaking of... We do have beers. We have beers with... Cheers. Sam Adams. Hoppiness. Noble Pills. Hoppiness is beer. It's been a while since we've been drinking this podcast. That's what February's brought us to. Yeah. Drinking. And basically recording the podcast later in the night. And earlier in the week. In the morning, you know, 10 o'clock in the morning. Drinking coffee. Not so good drinking the beer. You do, but that's on you. That is on me. What's on the jets is that they've announced two things, which I think is kind of interesting to announce them together. Sort of it's like, hey, don't look over here. Basically, they're getting ready for the impending work stoppage. So they're announcing one week furloughs. They actually did this. You got this off of the Canadian press. It's actually everywhere.
00 Jake: They've announced it everywhere, but yes. That's because Canadian football players will be playing for the Jets next year. So we get all our Jets news from the Canadian press. So they are actually saying one week for us for Jets employees based on that there might not be football for a while. But to make matters better, they're announcing that they're a 2.3% Across the board increase in PSL ticket prices. Only PSL ticket prices? It's interesting because they say last season the games, this is the Canadian press because I don't know what the hell they're talking about. They said the game prices ranged from $195 to $700. That's not true. I said the PSL section and it's $120 a ticket. Why would they raise the prices on the people who paid them lots and lots of money? some money already up front. They figure they got more of it. That's bullshit. So the people who didn't pay for their PSLs and who pay by the game, well by the season essentially, they don't get their tickets increased? Well, I will say, I've been a season ticket holder since 2004, they've raised their ticket prices almost every year. I mean, it's just, it's. Yeah, I know, but to only do it for a select few and the few that you do it for are the people that paid you, you know, at least four grand for the rights to buy that ticket in the first place. We paid for the right to always take off our ticket prices off the ass. That is bosh. Yeah, it is a little bit. So, but they're actually going to lower the outer parking from 25 to 15. This is shit weed. parking the inside. Well, all right, that's gonna say the same. Who should be parking the inside? Gosh. But that one's really expensive. It's like, I know, you have the pass, you've already paid for it. What is it, 25? 25. I think it's 50 if you don't have the thing. Yeah, they'll resell it. That's amazing. Yeah, I went on for a preseason game that I wasn't going to because it'll be away. And I went online and put it in the ticket. the ticket stub whatever the stuff hub no the one that's born by the NFL yeah that one literally the fucking pass went within like six minutes just like i want tickets i want the park i went quick and it went oh you've been sold what how that happened they don't want the tickets they want the price they want the they want the pass park pass so yeah ticket again it's always rising up. I think we started talking about this last week, but So what they're doing this year is they're gonna charge you for half the season upfront by they're gonna send out the thing they're trying to happen season and they're not gonna charge you for the other half until They know if there's gonna be football. Oh, I see. I'm sorry. I'm looking at why they're not Increasing the prices of the upper Bowl Why is that they're remaining the same because of fan? feedback on improvements that need to be made. As a result the Jets and the Giants and the stadium, so I guess whoever that is, will team up to add additional shelter to the upper bowl concourses in the end zone. So I guess if
02 Jake: it's really raining like cover people. As well as 40% more capacity of the men's rooms in the upper bowl, reconfiguring them and adding more urinals to relieve Thank you. long lines. Ha ha, relief. Yes, honey. We think that there are some significant steps that we can take to improve the experience, and until we do that, we've decided to hold those prices flat. Oh, that's just... Yeah, that's just bullshit. That's just like, we know there'll be a fucking... Everybody pissed. But again, they're only going to charge for half the tickets this year until I figure out what happened. They should charge you for zero for the tickets. Well again, remember I said they were supposed to start billing us in January and they didn't. They should not bill you at all. True. True. They shouldn't bill you. They should not take one cent. If they're going to be putting the guys on furlough, then no money goes in. In other news. What are you going to do with that money? Not pay somebody? The NFL. bell. and the players association have been in a meeting. They have been meeting for the last five or six days. Great, I'm skipping over the whole thing about Roddie Goodell writing this to this old. But basically they're on their fifth day of mediation, which is not arbitration, it's mediation, just for the difference. Arbitration is binding, mediation is not, someone made a really great example of arbitrations when you get sent to the prince. office that's a big deal mediations when you get sent in the corner to sit with your cap on your head and duns cap so it's kind of like you can do it but you know you don't have to do it and anything comes out there's no concrete middle ground that comes out that anyone has to actually agree to right but it lets you a sense for what a third party thinks is right and fair and here's and here's where we get to my conspiracy theory. I should be part of that mediation. I would love to be. I'd love to hear what's going on. It's been very quiet. It's five or six days of it now. It's been very quiet. We don't know what's happening, but here's what I think. Look, here's what I think. Go on. I think this is all fucking set up. Not that there's, not. Thanks for watching! See you next time! Not that there's not a negotiation, not that the CPA didn't expire and all that. That's all true. I really think that on both sides of the ball here, they both know exactly what is going to happen. Meaning they know where they're going to go, they know where they're going to agree to, and I think they know when they're going to agree to it. I think they're going to do it at the point that makes them both look the best. Meaning... What would you want to do if you and I are in negotiation behind closed door? Couldn't we just sit there for six days and argue? Or we can say hey listen, we know where this is going right 40 50 split blah blah blah great Let's hold it out until we get to the point where it's you know Until it makes us look good. I think that's gonna be when it gets pressure and again I don't see pressure in March 4th. So there's no pressure in March 4th to get the same gun. Still got the draft to happen, all sorts of stuff so I think it's.
03 Jake: a big sham. Look, I'm just a broadcaster. Yeah. I don't I don't have I don't have you know an opinion one way or the other. I'm, I'm a neutral broadcaster but let me tell you this. There's no conspiracy going on. It's a conspiracy. No. There you have a contract. No, I know. I know they're in a contract, but I think they know when they're going to sign it. It's not good for the league. It's not. This isn't good for the league. Press is good. No, not this kind of press where you got working class people on furlough and... Hasn't happened yet. Wait until it to see. That's the thing. Justin: If they do it at the last moment and they save everybody's jobs... and enjoy football. Jake: So the NFL's not gonna have furloughs. No. The NFL itself, the teams, no. I think they'll all stand up there and they'll shake hands. They'll say, we did this for the people. They better. I'm serious. I think they're going to do it. They better. Make it seem like it's a big fucking deal. Yeah, right. Moving on. Speaking of a big fucking deal, Jenkins. Big Jink. What do you think about Jenkins trying to battle back? I see no reason why he shouldn't. Well other than I wanted to play more than seven snaps, but here's a reason. Why should we hold a spot on our team for this guy who in the last two years? You're not. You're not holding a spot. Once he gets injured he's gone, but if he's not injured you want him on the team. It's not like they don't put him on the IR right away. He was on the roster for one week. Well, okay, but no no no. He comes into draft a free agency, we go, should we be going to draft this guy, or should we, you know, and put our eggs in that basket, or should we wait for this pro-boar to come back? No. You don't make any decisions based on him playing. You make decisions based on it's gravy if he plays. But you still, he's gotta be one of the guys on the roster. That's right, so he's on the roster when you cut down the roster. It's gravy When you but when you know cuz there's another guy who was gravy trained He went yeah get the fuck out of here I got Chris Jenkins I'm gonna give Chris Jenkins and some other pro bowlers sitting next to him and you have to decide between the two it's Howard Green and you get rid of Howard Green and then guess what you sign him in and then you Stupidly let him go again We still let him go. I don't know. I don't know. I mean part of me, the underdog, like okay go go for it. You can make it back dude. But part of me is like seriously? You know what he has to do is just lose weight. Because the year that he actually played from where he was at. It did, he lost with him in the... No, he didn't. He did not. He didn't win that. Manghini had him down on like 330, and he didn't like it, but he got there and he played the whole season. He clearly can't play at 360. 31 years old, I don't know. Can't play at 360.
00 Jake: It's too big. All right, well, I don't know if he has come back. I have another little bit of news. Bob Sanders, cut from the Colts. Yeah. Interesting. I'm very interested. No. Semi-interested? Not at all. Not at all. No. And it's sort of anti what I just said. Yeah, it is. But I'm not going out and signing somebody else's player because Jenkins is already on the roster. This episode brought to you by being a hit with him. But Jenkins is already on the roster R and you're already paying him. I don't want to pay it. You know what I mean? It's gravy. If he plays, it's gravy. Not with another guy. Not with a guy who hasn't been on the team for four years already. It's gravy. Listen. Yes. That guy is done. He... Maybe if he goes to another system and gets to play like free safety instead of strong safety where he might not have to play in the box as much and not take on alignment and tight ends and blocks, maybe he'll be a little safer, but... I mean, here's what will happen. He'll sign with the fucking Pats, he'll play 16 games and be awesome. I mean, that's what it... that's what will happen. Zach marks Andrew at 17 times in a game. You know that's what... Now let's have the pads be awesome. And no, he plays like two games a year, this guy. No. He plays two more than Chris Jenkins plays. No, but he's never done it. Jenkins has played full seasons. That is true, but not in the last two years. Yeah, but he did three years ago. Bob Sanders hasn't done that. Ever that is true. That is true. But Bob Sanders usually comes back when you know, he doesn't I Think place like to give you a reverse. I are we just put people off you literally just save them Yeah, so saving for week 14. Yeah, it's week 14 starters Cuz that's when they can be good. All right, so now we have some pretty upsetting news going from laughing about We forestarted. So, tell me what you wanted this idea to be done. I wanted to talk about nothing to do with the Jets, but it does have to do with football. Tell me why I care. And I think it ties into the CBA quite a bit. Tell me why I care. So Dave Doersen, a Chicago bear, killed himself, suicide. And I believe he shot himself. Yeah, in the chest. In the chest. And he said, I didn't shoot myself. in the head because I wanted my brain examined because he believed that football caused him to have this thing called chronic traumatic encephalopathy, something along those lines, which is a neurological... affection. And he thought that the National Football League was a big part of why he had this head issue, this injury. And I mean, honestly, the... I'm really trying not to take the other side and be like, how did the National Football League, that was his employer, not even employed by a team, how did the National Football League do this? as if but I'm I let me continue as I have opinions
02 Jake: I do I was podcasted before nothing nothing But essentially he he wanted to sort of Say you know in some way shape or form, you know, the NFL will causes brain injuries and damage and and wants someone to study and see, you know, did he have this thing? And I mean, I heard a statistic that national football players, their life expectancy on average is 55 years, which is disturbing because like everyone else is like 80. That's like ridiculous. And they make tons and tons of money. But isn't construction workers... and the sewer workers and... Yeah, but there's a difference. Cross players, basketball players. There's a big difference. What's the difference? Well, basketball players and football players, I would have to say basketball players live way longer. Probably to less violent support. Right, but football players make lots of money. That's the difference. affluent Americans who make lots and lots of millions of dollars don't generally die when they're 55 years old on average. It's just a this is how the statistics bear out. But anyway I look at the numbers. Yeah sources. So a couple things on this. One I think it's it's it's it's a little hypocritical of the league to you know, say that we are very concerned about player health, player safety, the well-being of players, and then ask them to play more games per season. It seems a little anti-itself. Like, hey, we know that we cause major brain injuries with these major... with these crazy violent crashes and smashes that you guys do into each other. But we're gonna ask you to do that two more times and increase the odds that you'll be injured. Lowering your chances of becoming vested in the league and getting long-term healthcare after the fact. Okay, but let me do the counter then. I was gonna give it myself. Oh, no. That makes for a great podcast. It does. Well, maybe mine will be different. You're very not a good broadcaster. You go first and then I'll... You're not a good broadcaster. Wow. You know what? Fuck you. Are you gonna walk out? Are you gonna walk out of the podcast? 106 episodes? Are you gonna walk out? What's your anti-int? Because I have a stance that I think is... I think you know it there's there's a point of which when people are getting paid to do a job and being paid a lot Of money to do a job that they're not being forced to do this isn't this isn't slavery This is an indentured servitude This isn't this is a career that most people and most people as they grow up are spending their entire time dreaming about being in And there's a point of which yes There's a danger involved and that's also why your paint so fucking much is because there is a bit of a danger It's like the guys that go up to the the guys who go to Alaska to lay down the Alaskan pipe or whatever during the summer
04 Jake: You always heard of that when you were caught with during college is like oh You hear what those guys make about ten thousand dollars a week. You know why cuz I get the fucking hands chopped off It's very fucking dangerous. You can pay it a lot of money or to go on this You know this the shipping cruises or whatever that you you know pull in like glopsters or whatever the great ice hunters or whatever you know why you get paid all our money because it's dangerous shit sitting around in this office with our fucking computers it's not very dangerous carpal tunnel we're not making trillions of dollars either so there's part of the thing for that. Second of all... The NFL is about making money. Let's get away from like it's the good, you know, it's the good ship lollipop. It's about making money. It's a sport about making money and distributing that well money to a lot of different people. Right now the only argument is who gets what, right? It's do the players get more money or do the owners get more money? I want more money. That's it, that's the discussion. And so how do you make more money? You have more of it. You gotta sell more of your product. Why is it every other fucking sport has a trillion fucking games? So they can sell more tickets, they can make more money. So yes, I understand there's a little bit of like, we want to be, make it safe, but we also want to make more money to give you more money. That's what this is about. It's about a team. Here's a great point. This is actually made by... Mike and Mike. Mike Greenberg. It was Greenberg. Jack's fan. So on the other day, and he actually was quoting someone else whose name I can't remember so it's a quote-unquote but he said you know when it comes to... Broadcaster would never make that mistake. It's so true that's why I'm not a broadcaster I'm just a fucking fan. When it comes to players... When it comes to the teams, when the teams want to make a decision, they can say the team made it because it's a business decision. It's a business decision, we did this, right? We did this because it's a business decision. Because we're a team, we're a business decision. Like we cut this player. Whatever, it's a business decision. When the players, right, it's almost always okay. Oh, okay, it's a business decision. But when the players do it, it's completely... You know, it's completely reversed. When a player says, it's just a business decision that I'm leaving this team. The fans get upset that, well, fuck you! Like, I'm a fan, like, you can't make a business decision. Like, you should do it for pride. You should stay in a Green Bay Pack or two, you die, motherfucker. Like, this, we're earning our... We're earning our explicit badge today. Yeah, we are. But you know what I'm saying? We always look at the players and I do it's a double standard. When the players says it's just business We say fuck you when the business when the team does it work. Oh, I get it cuz you're a business Why can't the player be its own business? The end of the day 18 games about making more money. Do the players want more money? Yes, they do Do they want more risk? Probably not Do they want to make more money with more risk?
00 Jake: Yes! So what's the problem? I am pro player on this... On this... Stadium? No, not the stadium or the jacket. I'm... I'm... I'm pro... Pro player. You know what? Until this gets signed, I'm gonna be pro owner. I'm not pro owner. I am pro owner. I am... I'm pro player. Fuck the players. You got nothing on us. I am pro worker. No, I think that without the players there's no product. So it's like, it's really weak. They have nowhere to go. They have nowhere to go if the teams don't put together these teams. What are they going to go do? They could go play in the CFL. They could start their own league. Yeah, they could pick a lot of money up there. Hold on, do you think honestly that the players- How is the XFL doing? You didn't have NFL players in the XFL. No. The XFL sucked because it was the XFL. Because the league and the national football league- It's happened before in the past, there've been other leagues in America. But here's the thing. the And the NFL swallowed them up or merged? Justin: How are they doing now? Jake: They merged. They merged because they were beating the NFL. You know what? Scrubs can play football. And there's another... The other thing is, in two years, there's another Mark Sanchez, there's another Dorell Rivas, there's another Sean Green. They're coming. They're in college right now. So all these fuckers right now who are worried about it, your replacements are in fucking college right now throwing the ball around. They'll be here two years. No, so get the fuck out. No, this is a great stance. I love this. It's bigger here No, they're just people doing a job. They're the best at what they do until the next motherfucker comes around He's better doing than you were no. No, there's not a replacement for everybody on the field right now. Yes There is not you can't replace all 53 players on every team in the next two years Sorry, the product would say the product would suck You watch college football why? Cuz you don't like it no That's nothing to do with it. There's a college for every fucking weekend. You've got whatever you want because Yeah, I can watch the only like one one sport. Yeah, isn't that for a suck to football your sport? Yes, so college football football college football is not football. No, why not? No, no balls are different. They got the white stripes on them. Yeah, they're different balls. Just telling you That's why you don't like it cuz the balls. I don't give a shit about it. Why I saw my team. Oh, no, I sport Oh, you don't give a shit about it. Yeah, why not? Cuz it's not my sport. Are they not good enough? Is it is it that you know, they're great big town did they go and they become Jets? Yeah, like two of them I've told you this. I've told you this you want to make college football. I'm I'm the .00001% of the people, which is like give a shit about college football. You want to make me watch college football? Change the draft. The draft happens two years before the guy graduates.
00 Jake: And then the guy in Ohio State right now, the center, the nose tackle, whatever the fuck, Bob Boberson. You say that that Bob Boberson just got drafted. You can spit up your beer. That's awesome. Ahn, we're gonna catch it. Oh my god. Bob Boberson. Oh, I'm taking a drink. That's terrible. You shouldn't do that to me. Bob Boberson. Alright, so let's say Bob Boberson. Sally Salerson. Bob Boberson is going to, in two years, become a jet. He gets drafted as a sophomore at Ohio State. Who fucking become hot guy? What do they call them? Golden eyes? Yeah that motherfucker. Not everyone's a huge college, I'm not a big college football fan. I love big jets, I'm a huge jets fan. You tell me anything has to do with it? I just tried- If you took all 53 of them and said in two years you have to replace them- all they will be replaced they wouldn't be very good they might not but then within three years they'd be fine that's what they come on the average we already know the stats there's only however many players there are in the NFL there's only that many guys that are that good and to be honest the last seven to ten guys on every roster aren't really that good right they get tossed around they play special teams they go from team to team totally there's not that many good players from year to year that come out in the draft you can pick last year's draft and look at the fifth round and how many of those guys actually play? I agree but it doesn't matter. But then you have to replace a whole league? Yes! Wouldn't happen. Well it's not going to happen this thing will get signed and the players will come back but this whole thing of like again I honestly You don't think it's one side the other they're both in it to make money. That's it. You're in it to make money Let's just get the cards on the fucking table and figure out who gets the most amount of money Oh, it's only nine billion dollars a year. Oh, let's just split it up. You take some I'll take some get it done Yeah, but I think that the skit done get it done. All right, what are the news we got? I don't know. What was this last thing the 30th pick? Alright, is that our pick? No, yeah, we have the 30th pick. That's our pick. 30th? Why is it? Because that is right. We did finish whatever, 3rd or 4th. Yeah. It kind of sucks as well. They should have like a... that game, like on the Saturday of Super Bowl weekend. Odds. I would have watched. Odds. I would have watched us play the Bears. Saturday. The... yeah. I would have watched it. That actually would be pretty good. That would be smart. For third! For third place. Yeah, fuck it. For third people say actually that the championship weekend should be split to either Saturday night and Sunday night or Sunday night and Monday night. Let each game stand alone and be its own big event. It could. And almost go to the point where you take away like... I want Super Bowl to be best of three.
01 Jake: Oh, yes. Why not? Three weeks from now? Imagine if you win the first one, you're like, I'm resting, I'm resting guys this week. Yeah, I'm the Super Bowl. I'm resting by starting running back. Hey, listen, here's a note to the NFL. You want to make more money? Make three fucking Super Bowls. A year. For only... $4.2 million per 30, 30 seconds. You can put them everywhere. You can put them everywhere. All right, so we have our first set of mock drafts coming out. Mel Kipert. And Todd Machej. And Rob Rang. I don't know who that is. All right, so let's talk about where the picks, because we got nothing else to talk about, although we have a good battle on the- Well, two of these guys have us taking the same guy. Yeah. A guy named Phil Taylor. Except for they have them at different positions. decisions. Nose tackled defensive tackle. It's sort of the same thing Yeah, okay, sort of so let's move on So what is a male have us picking now has us picking a safety name? Ricky Moore from UCLA So this year by the way, we have to become draft minions. We have to become really good at the job I don't know. We're gonna do it. We're gonna do it. Hey that much attention where we have to so I don't want to All right, we're doing it So, safety. Let's just go by the position. I don't care. But Reheemor could be awesome or not. Doesn't matter. Whatever. Safety, first round? I don't feel like you have to pick a safety in the first round. I feel like you can pick a safety in the third or fourth or fifth round. I want a defensive end or a run... rushing linebacker like if I could replace Brian Thomas or something you know like one of those guys a pace I mean I guess it who depends who we saw who we signed who we don't sign you know our needs I think first round is tough because this is probably the last year of the the big spending money on first rounders right from now on hopefully let's just trade it trade down get two in the second rounders couple third yeah we don't have our second rounder yep gone for the kromarti we hadn't got the playoffs we wouldn't that sort of adds to the whole should we re-sign kromarti thing Because I feel like you really should now. Just because we lost the second round before? Yeah. I mean, you didn't just get the season out of them and then you give up, I mean, you paid them and then you give up. Or you trade them. Like you signed and trade them? No, you didn't really do that in the NFL. Yeah, fuck it. Um, that's sort of more of an NBA thing to do. Yeah, that's true. I'm not saying I wouldn't want him back, but I don't want to don't break the bank And there's a lot of the people I'd rather go after than camarti. Let's go get Nnamdi Well Nnamdi and Sanders are out there. I don't want Sanders I want Nnamdi so he can stay healthy. How much would you give up? Would you give a first round draft pick for Nnamdi? You don't have to. You just have to sign him. Sign him, please. Shit ton of money. Yeah, can you imagine? No one would be able to really throw on us You can blitz like 9 if we play. Every goddamn play. Just blitz 9. Wow, everyone blitz.
01 Jake: Well, it might be nine me. We're gonna get like Jim Leonard back. So that's good. That's true. He'll be getting back. You think and then then Tom McCase has pick a nose tackle. Phil Taylor really see the need for a nose tackle. It was pretty good. well Jenkins is working his way back so there's two nose tackles I mean nose tackles yeah I think I'm okay with as much as I just had a big thing about Jenkins coming back I'm okay with going in with Poole as a backup I'm actually okay with going with Jenkins as a backup. What was starting the year at defensive end well starting the year those first seven plays yeah he was playing he started next to Jenkins so I mean that's like kind of I think what Rex wants is Jenkins in the middle and Puah out there with him Try and run on us right like that kind of you ain't getting anywhere like these guys are gonna take up for your linemen have fun I will say this about and I just think this is after the fact and me thinking about the season as it went through but I Think there is something to this whole Rex Ryan thing like he's ability to make Stuff happen with his defense. We weren't as good as last year I think you're right that last year we kind of I built a An unsolvable force because no one was paying attention to us and again our offense wasn't doing as well So it really made the defense half stand up But he still put together a fucking really good D at the end of the day that You know when we get to the playoffs, which is all you do went down shut down two of the best quarterbacks in the league. See ya. So, I still think he's, you know, I still like that he's gonna be able to, no matter who he's got there, I think he's gonna be able to put together some shit that's gonna confuse some offenses, you know? It makes me feel a little warm inside, I'm just saying, it's not just the beer. Warm and fuzzy. A little bit. All right, well, that's their picks. You have any thoughts? So first round, right now, 30th. Anything just off the top of your head? I just said, I don't know what guy to name, but a rusher. You think a rusher? Another rusher. It's not another, an effective one. I think I'm going to go with the drop down. I think we need to pick up a few more. Dropping down would be okay too. Yeah, I wouldn't. Look, you're at 30. 30, you could probably pick up like 20. Look, if there's a guy out there that you know... Someone who's picking, you know, 39th is saying, oh, they really need a safety. And this guy who they say is really good, right? Whatever. You know that they'll trade up. Well, let them trade up and pick up an extra. You know, they're trading up into the first round. Pick up an extra third round or another second. You can probably get a second. You get their second and take a third. And then you package those I don't know ten amounts pretty good Well ten about chucking in but he's big he's big and going up like I've oh yeah He's not on down he generally gets he goes in with seven picks and comes out with four players Right he and I think we don't have that many picks so he can come out one player this year
00 Jake: So long as they're effective. I mean he he hasn't really drafted a guy That I mean I guess Colson well, Galston yes, but in this current culture this current regime of him and Rex together two years. You don't know what Wilson's gonna, if he's end up gonna be good. We don't know. Hopefully we will. He's been tough. Wilson's been a tough one. If you look at like Sanchez and Sean Green, right? That was pretty good. great. And then you got in this draft you had Wilson, you don't know, McKnight, Connor, good. Dukas, you don't know. Yeah I think you got a couple measures so far on there. You need to give them a year or two to see what they're gonna do. Yeah. Alright but uh well alright well the start of the draft talk is officially on because the draft will happen whether football happens next year or not. So let's wrap it up. Do it. What do you think?
