11 Justin: are high. Get used to it. It's always gonna be that way. Jake: Welcome to the Jet Kingdom. podcast. We're back. The longest running New York Jets podcast on the entire interweb. I almost remembered that after what, three months? I didn't write that in the agenda this time. That's pretty good that I remembered it. I'm glad you said that. Here I am, cheersing. Cheers. Football's back, baby. I'm Jake and joining me for the hundred eleventh time. One hundred and eleventh time. That's a lot of times. My good buddy Justin. Justin, how the fuck... What are you doing? Football bitches. Oh, I love being on an unrated, explicit podcast on a day after football's back. This is awesome. I have never been so excited for a football season. Ever. I mean this is I'm the most excited because It was so close from being taken from me that I appreciated even more now than I ever did. I have said this a few times today and there's certain people that I was really, really... This will be one of the best seasons. I will cherish the season more so than I cherish most seasons. Even though offseason generally doesn't have any football in it to go watch? I feel like I'm always embedded in it. This time, knowing that it could not happen, you know, over the CBA and the negotiations and watching it was crazy. And I'm sorry that we need to apologize to the fans. We were locked out. There's nothing we can do about it. We were holding out for a better deal. So wait a second. Wait. Thanks for watching! Were we locked out or were we holding out? We were locked out. We were locked out. We weren't holding out. We were locked out. Who are we in this scenario? We're the players. We're the players? I hate the player. We were locked out. Okay. And management locked us out. We couldn't get in. We couldn't get in to get the snowball. We couldn't get in to get the snowball. The snowball's on the desk. The beers are in the hands. Time to get back to fucking football. Time to get back to podcasting about the fucking New York Jets. Alright, we got the agenda. The agenda is... Get a goddamn snack. We'll talk about CBA, we'll talk about free agencies, talk about some other cuts that's going on, some crazy stuff going on. It's literally happening right now. We get to real time wire. We can almost do a podcast a day. Just the amount of shit that's going on. The frenzy that's going on right now. So totally crazy shit happens between now and Friday. Maybe we'll do another one on Friday. Yeah, I think we should. Alright. So here we go. CBA. I can do this every day. CBA. Let's talk about it. CBA all the way. CBA. My first thing is, this came to me last night, I think I tweeted it sometime last night as I was watching the two hour, you know, NFL network recap of everything that happened. I can't wait to get
04 Jake: home later and just watch the NFL network for the rest of the night. After we go to a Yankees game. We're going to a Yankee game, watch CC pitch. There we go. Beat the Mariners for the 28th time in a row. Is that? is it like I don't even know the game you're talking about. But anyway this is not that this is not that sport. So the CBA a 10-year agreement no opt-out from either side which is the biggest win. If what we lost was one one Hall of Fame game and what we gain is 10 years of uninterrupted football I think we did out pretty well. As a fan, as a fan, you know. Just thoughts in general, I mean have you gone over some of the terms, you know, they're basically they're limiting a lot of the practices, they're no more two a days, there's a restriction on the signing of, you know, the draftees are going to to earn about half of what they've been making, so this guy from this year, what guy from this year . Cam, Cam Newton, he's gonna make half of what Sam Bradford made last year, I was thinking Matthew Stafford, that's two years ago. That's two years ago. So, you know, there's that, there's also other little things, there's no 18 games, at least not for another two years, not even discuss it, that kinda got killed, I'm very happy about that. I'm of a, if it ain't broke, don't fix it kinda situation. Thank you for your integration. And I think that the NFL works pretty well. I don't think we need more games. I, you know, as much as I don't like paying for preseason games, I don't really want a bigger, longer season that goes longer into the winter. I don't need to be dealing my Super Bowl celebration at the end of February. Thoughts on it? What do you think? Have you read over any of this or you've been totally oblivious to the whole thing? You just like, you woke up like I had a slumber in this morning. Pretty oblivious, I was sort of sleeping through the whole thing. Let me make a... fairly flippant remark and then I'll get into my analysis. I don't give a fuck. I said this before we were locked out, I didn't give a fuck and I don't give a fuck now. All I cared about was that they got it done in a time frame that wouldn't ruin the season at all and that's what's happened. And it came down with like basically a couple days. Within a couple days. And that's fine because it happened. That's my flippant remark. aside from that You know, I really don't care that the players aren't doing two days that that makes no difference to me I don't care that You know, they're meant they have to have five days off during their bye week. I don't care that doesn't do anything for me The the 18 game season I didn't really care about I didn't I mean, it's no different to me I watch all the preseason games anyway Just two more games that count versus not count more of a chance for a guy to get injured the season's perfect Why fuck with it, so there's I mean, it's literally perfect. It's it is perfect the way it is No problem. I have no problem with it. Hey drop breezy But they're not gonna drop because they're gonna make money on right? I wish that's part of the revenue right? Oh, they have to sign it by Wednesday because they'll lose 200 million dollars in revenue from losing a preseason game
01 Jake: Whatever. I don't care the 10 years great. We don't have to deal with this shit for 10 more years We're still podcasting in 10 years. We'll talk about how 10 years ago. They made a great idea long I think one of the things that came down at the end they were saying this yesterday was that the That the thing that they both wanted to do was build in these opt-outs, right? Because this would happen the last agreement I mean, I want you know, you don't care but no last agreement the owners opted out two years ago. So they literally said, we're opting out of this, we're gonna go to this one year of the uncapped season and then we'll, you know, so it basically, this shit started two years ago because of the opting out. Knowing that it's gonna be 10 years until the next thing, I'm just ecstatic, because that just means 10 years of football that I can sort of, I'm just gonna market my calendar. under. 10 years of football and the next time we come up to this hopefully it's a whole different scenario and they get it done better But um, I'm just I'm excited So one, you know one thing from a very Jets centric point of view checking is is that the salary cap is I think it's eight or so million dollars less than it was Two years ago when there was a salary was 128 120 and it's 120 now with I think an exception like you can throw a guy like three and a half million dollars Right that doesn't go against the cap. I don't know there were some rumblings about like being able to borrow against a future cap number I don't know if that's gonna happen or not But coming off of a 128 and then an uncapped year Which by the way, no one blew out. Yeah, but the jet's still brought in some guys that with the lower cap number it's gonna be harder to keep everyone together. Like they had a veteran team, they had good talent, guys that you're gonna have to pay, guys who are free agents which we'll talk about later on, that other people are gonna just throw money at because they're not resigning them. Trying to attract them so there's gonna be some attractive deals on the table for some of these guys We're not gonna be able to keep them all so from a jet centric point of view it seemed like That cap number going down hurts us a little bit Some teams it probably doesn't hurt as much as the Jets it hurts us because guys are happening from a cap number perspective everybody can hurt everybody but not everybody because not everybody spends up to the limit that's true but now we spend up to the limit there's still a minimum but not everybody went okay it's 128 128.3 i'm gonna spend 128.2999 that's what the jets did stack the team to get to the afc championship games twice in a row what i would say is that the um The way it always works, it's always a numbers game. It's like, I pay you a dollar this year and $15 million next year. I don't know where that accent came from. It just came from somewhere. But it's always this numbers game. The unbelievable feeling I had in knowing that this bullshit, whatever,
00 Jake: extended free-to-agency thing that started at 10am this morning, my number one feeling was, and I was talking to our Giants friend here in the office, and I said Intend him by my trust. We gotta get him on the podcast. Well, we'll get him on. We're gonna play the Giants at some point. Preseason and regular season. Well, I don't know. He's not gonna go to the regular season game. Yeah, we gotta get him on twice, though. Yeah, maybe. Anyway, so I just intend him by my trust. I mean, he has, to me, proven in the last couple years He knows what he's doing, he plays the cap number well, he'll restructure people, he'll move around. Sanchez has already said he's gonna restructure or will be willing to restructure his deal. That's huge, right? So, I don't know, I'm happy. Overall, give me two things. Two. Give me, I want a win, win or loss. Okay. Three categories. So three things. Three things. Three things, two options. 20 times. Jake Math. Yeah, Jake Math. I want to hear there's three different things. The fans. Let's do the winner loss. The owners. Gotcha. Players. Gotcha. Fans. Gotcha. Anybody else want anything on there? No. No. Doesn't matter. Punchers. Owners. Players. Fans. I want a winner loss in this deal. Give it to me now. Win, win, win. Really? Yeah, football's on, win. Everybody wins. Doesn't matter, everybody wins. You know that, I mean, I think it's. Fans definitely win. I think fans win. We didn't lose anything. Owners win, I think players lost. I think players. Because the money's lost. Because they lost money, yeah. I mean, I think they moved money around, but I think they lost money. Yeah, but they. They're losing money the day they're signed, and they're signed from their thing, and they're losing money. They got a couple things like, you know, they can, they can, they're free. Okay. Draft picks are only signed for four years now. There used to be three to five. There's a couple things they won on. It's all this little shit. At the end of the day, the owners took the number down from what they took the number they're getting up. The fans got a longer thing. I feel like the owners really won this one. I think they played their cards. They won. And... And at the end of the day, I was actually getting pissed at the players. I was getting more and more pissed at the players. I don't know why, I just, maybe it's my allegiances, but I was getting more and more pissed at the players and I was getting more and more like I think the owners were doing the right thing. Well, at the end of the day, the players have a place to go work and get paid money. Maybe because I am an owner. Maybe. I don't know. Whatever. Alright. I'm the owner of the Jack Kingdom podcast. Another one, another thing. Everyone wins. So, next thing, Jets. Coming out of the scenario now with this. JTS, JTS, JTS. Now with this very shortened, like literally it's like Tuesday to Friday. Yep. You know, we have recordings on Tuesday, so stuff's already starting to happen. Yep. I think people can be signed on Friday, they can be waived on Friday, but you can start negotiating with people on Tuesday. We're being waived today. So jets, in this scenario, is this shortened period with a shortened schedule, I mean
05 Jake: not schedule, but shortened sort of free agency period and all that, is this good for the or bad for the jets. In all likelihood it's good for the Jets. And the reason is they have someone in place, well, just to take a step back from just that question of like the free agency period being short. Yeah, not in the whole lockout. Good or bad. Good, because we have... a system in place with a head coach in place with a GM in place with assistance in place for two solid years where they've been very successful. So let's throw in offensive coordinator is the same. That's all the assistance everybody the staff is there. Yep. The quarterback's been the same in this in this system for the last two years. There are teams with new head coaches. There are teams with new quarterbacks. There are teams with new coordinator head coach Those teams are fucked fucked Totally fucked so fucked how we could keep going but so from that perspective There is a good idea They're in good shape because they have the same head coach in the same offensive coordinator same defensive coordinator same quarterback For very important things. Oh, yeah Offensive lines, center, left tackle, running back. From a free agency perspective, they have a lot of free agents. But I think it helps the shortened time frame because there's going to be... First off, they have a head coach that people want to play for. So nobody's saying, this is like Bill Parcells, fuck, I hate him. He makes me crazy and yells at me and makes me feel like a child I'm leaving. People want to play for this guy and there's a shortened time frame of making a decision, right? So if you just think I like playing here, they're offering me a deal I'm just gonna sign because I want to get on the field, right? I think that helps there are Slight things in there where like, you know We'll talk about the guys individually, but like one guy comes to mind Antonio Cromarti I think he'll be gone. Well, I know we're gonna get there but there are there are Situations where because it's such a tight timeframe other teams are going to react in a very Go over pet reactionary way. They're gonna. They're just gonna be like we gotta get this fucking guy in here I've been thinking rationally we're going 150 miles an hour Hey But those teams will end up not doing crashing and burning because they'll go spend the 50 million dollars on the guy And there's a couple out there that you could think of that are these guys I agree and we all know one guy doesn't make a team. It just doesn't matter. If you take... who's the worst? Carolina Panthers. If you take Peyton Manning or Tom Brady and put him on Carolina Panthers. Carolina Panthers aren't going suitable next year. Yeah, but if you take Peyton Manning off of the Colts they win like three games. Oh yeah, well that's true too. I don't know who we put in. Okay, put in Tom Brady.
02 Jake: Okay, put in Jim Sorgy. He's awesome sauce. Anyway, let's get back... Let's get so I will say yeah, I think the Jets are in a couple of the earning a position a couple other reasons I like the reason that that that they want to go for the Jets that they like the head coach, but success People when people are signing with teams people. I mean players. They're looking at players or people players people. Oh, that should have been the title But that's why we don't we don't have a title. We don't tell other people is the title and players are people to fucking people players No, no curses title. So I think the one of the things that Is it when they're looking at team? It's like who don't want to play for what market? So we always got the New York market on great. It's great. We get to be on Broadway, whatever That's that's a fact probably Joe. That's a factor the stadium. It's a factor the not really. Yeah, no say in fact I don't see the training facility back here. That's factor owner factor Yeah, but here's no here's if you're a player coming from a team like I don't know the Raiders and you're like shit You know what? I've been this down-and-trotting team And I want to go play somewhere where, I don't know, I get a fucking chance to play in the playoffs. If you're in the Bills, you haven't made the playoffs in 11 years. Yeah, or you're the Dolphins and you haven't won the playoffs in 10 years. It's like you think... Or if you're the Pats and you haven't won in the playoffs in 3 years. You think, I want to go to a team that has won in the playoffs and has a chance. because everybody wants to win the ring. Let's not go too far. We don't have a legacy here in the Jets. No, it's two years with the same guy. But it's a short-term legacy of success. And I think that's going to help people. I think if you're looking at, you know, if it's the 10 million versus the 10.5 million, you think, I think New York can win on the 10. I'm just saying. All right. So I think the Jets, and plus the Jets did the training camps. Mark Sanchez did a great job. I think he became an off the field, like even more so of a leader. I love that he ran those camps and stuff. All great stuff. I'm very, like, I'm so excited for the fucking season. Let's get into Berea Agency that just started at 10 a.m. this morning, so less than whatever vote that was, eight hours ago. Yep, and let's talk about it. So here's the thing. I've got the list in front of us. Yeah, I see the list of the Unrestricted free agents. Yeah, there's a lot of there's a lot of them. We have a problem. We have a little problem, New York Meadowlands we have a problem. We do. Foreign Park we have a problem. Yep. We have a lot of free agents. I'm looking at this And so here's what I want to say. We're gonna go through this list all of them all of them And we're gonna say stay or go. Yep what we want or what we think why we want all We do, we want them all to stay. Yeah, basically we want them all to stay. If you go to the FC Championship game, you want them all to stay. Alright. But you're going to say whether they are going to stay or go. Okay. And then you're also going to give me your top five guys that I want to stay. And no, in order of importance. Gotcha. Okay. Okay. Do you want your top five first or do the whole list? Let's do the whole list so I have a chance to run through them all.
00 Jake: Okay. Tony Richardson gone Trevor Price, I'm gonna go you yeah gone gone right too much money Just don't need him. We got John Connor. Why waste another roster spot I only it's like a leadership thing. I'm Tony Richardson actually was I think he was involved in a lot of the Negotiations for getting that done. Yeah. Thanks for your gun. Goodbye. And that's like I just can't see carrying I think they're gonna carry another running back I have to participate on special teams and Richardson doesn't do that Trevor price gone too old Sean Ellis Tough one. I think he stays this is what you think's gonna happen out if you want to happen Is that what we're doing again? Yes, that's what I just said about two minutes ago. Yeah, what I think's gonna happen I think he's going to stay you think Sean else is gonna stay I do see the guys we were picking up in the draft? I feel like Charnellis can hang around for one more year. I feel like he can, he's gone. So you think he's gone? I don't know what his cap money is. So you don't want him to stay? No. We started the odds set and we said that. Shit. I'm confused. We said, we want everyone to stay. Well, we think what's going to happen. We said, we want everyone to stay. Oh, OK. Gotcha. I still think Charnellis is going to stay. Gone. Brown and Edwards. Staying. Think he's going to stay. Yeah. Doesn't want to go anywhere gone. Okay Wayne Hunter staying stay Rodney Poole gone gone Kelly We'll give you a little reason I'm giving a little reason on Edward so that's more interesting Well, we're gonna get to this later because he's in my top five. He's in your top five Okay, Wayne Henry in your top five. No, yes, buddy staying. Okay. Yeah. Well, why saying? Cause he's a backup offensive lineman and I feel like It's like a Jim Leonard was hurt and he'll be back. So he is gonna be back. You're telling Clemens gone gone because third string quarterback So this is the way you officially call this a mistake like a second round draft pick He's not like nine games. You know, they drafted him when they already had a starter He was never really drafted. He couldn't really draw from Chad. Well, Chad was a playoff quarterback when healthy. Now Chad gets hurt on the basketball board. When healthy, he was a playoff quarterback. He brought the Dolphins to the... And then he threw five picks in the game. Still made the play. I mean, he won 11 games. He was a winner. He won games. I think that Mark Sanchez has won more playoff games than Chad Pennington has. I have games. Yeah, but he won. He won games when he was healthy chat was You know, I love that. I'm just starting quarterback. I love their last 30 core. He was starting I'm coming is not starting quarterback. That's it. Just now I started court, but he was drafted to be one Drafted to compete in the second round second round picks quarterbacks aren't always starting quarterbacks It's just the way you drafted a second round your your your shooting for a not right off the bat
03 Jake: corner to Coleman I think he stays he's pretty integral to the schemes that Rex likes to play he's that blitzing corner and he plays the nickel really well I think he stays I'll think they like to recall come already gone I'm gonna say I don't want him to go but I think he's gone Someone's gonna spend a lot of money on him thinking he's the number one cornerback and they're gonna be wrong He's only good because he plays an We can't pay it. Yeah, but you know what he has non kids and he can't even just support him That's what I mean. He's gonna go somewhere home stays. I think we keep both of those guys homes then Lance Lowry, I think he stays special team player. Nobody knows who he is. He's he'll stay Gone cuz I don't know I don't think he's not making a difference Brad Smith I think he's gone unfortunately. come back in the game. So now that's not a rule. The third quarterback is active. So Brad Smith, instead of being on the roster as a wide receiver, or as a special teams player, can be the third quarterback, so you can get an extra roster spot for the game. Why does it make his money anymore though? It makes him more valuable. I think it's valuable. I don't know if he's valuable to others though. He is. There are other teams that are really looking at him saying, oh, he's a playmaker. You can list him as a third receiver. I think he stays. I think he's gone unfortunately. Eric Smith has to stay. He played pretty well. I think he, him and Leonard can play as the two starting safeties. It is cool over Smith. I'm picking Smith. Me too. Steve Weatherford. I think he stays. He's just the one here. Nick Folk Justin: is gonna stay. Oh I think he's gone. No, they had a report out today that they're gonna Jake: There you go. He's staying. He's gonna stay. and James... Ahedebo. Ahedebo. I want him to stay. I think he will too. He's a special teams player. He actually made some moves last year. Like he became like a... I mean for Jets fans, like a player. Like someone who we go, ooh. He won't be a starting safety on any team. He's the third down guy who's gonna blitz and he plays good special teams. And I know that from watching, obviously from watching Hard Knocks, you know... that Mike Westoff has a voice. So he says, you know, this guy's, he would say, this guy's a fucking good player
00 Jake: on Special Teams. That means something. Speaking of hard knocks, there is no hard knocks this season. That sucks. I actually don't think that sucks. It does suck. I love hard knocks. I feel like they should stop with the best hard knocks ever created, and that's it. Done. On a phone network. work. I had been replaying all of them, so I watched the Chiefs and I watched the Bengals and I watched the Jets, all of them. I've only watched the Chiefs, the Herms and the Bengals. And I watched the original and the Jets. No, I didn't watch the Bengals, sorry, I watched the Jets. And I think I watched the original, was it Ravens? Was it original? No, it was the Cowboys. The first one? I think it was the Ravens. Yeah, it was the Cowboys, I think. Oh, okay, maybe. Anyway, alright, give me your top five. 5. Okay top top five that I want to keep no no no the top five that we have yeah And in order and the order of What we should go after so I just want like we should go after these five guys in this order in importance, okay? so is San Antonio Holmes. Totally agree, there is no doubt. He's a, he's a, not a game changer, he's a game winner. He proved to us, at least three to four times last season, if you want to make an argument, whatever, that he's a game winner. The guy makes the play. The play. He's the best receiver on the team. He dropped a couple too many balls from my liking, but he's still a really good receiver and. Thanks for watching! The reason why he's number one and Brelyn Edwards is number two is because Sanchez is still really young and to keep him with the same receivers is extremely important. I'm I Edwards is not my number two. He's my number two. Marty's my number two. He's not my number two. And I and I think that we'll keep those two. So I think we're gonna keep that's why I said And it will keep Santoni home because it'll be number one position like literally they're on 10 o'clock a.m. they're like, hello, how much money would you like? Would you like us to send you some food? Oh no, it's funny that we got him for, what was it, a fourth round pick or something? Ridiculous. No, yeah, fourth round pick. But he is clearly, you know, clearly playing. I think Braylon is gone. I think he's got issues with the law still kicking around. Looks like... The NFL hasn't ruled on it. He's gone to court now. The Jets don't care about that. They care if he gets sit down for four games. No they don't, because the I just don't think it's gonna be signed. There's gonna be a team that comes out of the woodwork. It's gonna be like hey Antonio. We think you're awesome we're gonna pay you number one cornerback money and Here's this deal that the Jets are just never gonna match and he's gonna be like Hmm. Do I play for the Jets or do I go make a lot more money? And he's gonna say I'm gonna make a lot more money and that's the way it's gonna go I just think the money differential won't be that much as you will and I really do because the Jets
03 Jake: have a cornerback signed to an enormous contract. You can't have two of those. You just can't. It's stupid. So what are we gonna do with corner at that position? We drafted a guy in the first round last year. So he better step up. Yeah, that's kinda the point of being a first round draft pick. Kinda. Kyle Wilson, step up. It's Drew Coleman, we're gonna re-sign you. We can find somebody else in the free agency. Let's sign Nnamdi Asimwah. If it comes down to like come Marty's gonna we can pay chromarti eight million dollars a year But awesome one will take eight million dollars to play come along and I would yeah Don't shit sure like I say I could go to a Porsche dealership and buy a Porsche for ten bucks Or I can go to afford it. She wasn't like the same money. Even if it was like crow wants ten and Nnamdi red skins are gonna give them 12 Okay, do we give? and 12 well maybe we'll get a nomd 12 hey now dude will you take 12 yes okay cool well you just made the same super argument I think that that's something that could potentially happen as a as a jet fan I'm hoping that anyway that's my three do you want to give me your four since since I've given all my shit my fours Brad And I I think he's gonna stay I think we'll get three of the four I think I'm originally was saying to the four. I think we get three or four. I don't think Brad Smith has as much Market value. He's he's a Jets guy. He's not a Feeling people know the Steelers and he has no value. It's not true Steelers. You'd have tremendous value. They make players out of those But they don't run any of the packages he would run. Are you kidding me? They had Antoine Randall L running that shit for years. They have a guy. But Brad Smith is better than him. Nah, I just don't think they'd waste a roster spot on him. Again, I love him, but I think he's one of those guys who asks most other guys, most other teams, they go, oh wait, is that the... is that... Wait, is that because they know him because he runs kickoffs back for touchdowns Yeah, but that's what these rookies do that. Give me what my for Shawn Ellis and You know anything you say I think you stays I I feel like that veteran guy who's been around Who plays the position really well that he's asked to play that three four defensive end. He's really good at it and he fits that position really really well. I feel like that veteran leadership he's been a jet forever he should only play for the jets I think they'll sign him. Yeah I'm not I'm not convinced I think that he'd probably be my five although Killen Clements is close but uh he'd be my five and I'd say... You're putting shot in all sorts of... your five. Yeah below Bresman. I don't think we have a... again I still don't think we have a defensive problem as much as we have an offensive problem even
01 Jake: to stay continuity because I think Rex is kind of the he's the Prophet Master you can give him some really fucked up guys who I don't think will do as well on other teams. I mean Shoddy you know Shoddy likes his guys and for Sanchez and I think just for consistency sake our defense can be a little bit more swapping guys and out. and our offense can't. So obviously I'm focusing on, I don't think Braylon Edwards is gonna stay, because I think that they, they think that they can, not that they think they're gonna place it, but they're gonna give, they're gonna put more money to Camardi and Santoni. So our number two is Conatrey, and our number three is Brad Smith at that point? No, I think there's, there's, there's, There might be something- They'll sign a scrap heap guy. There might be something else out there for us. I feel like they'll sign both Braylon and Santoni. My number five is Eric Smith. So Brad Smith is not in your top five. Brad Smith is not even in my top five. And you think he's gonna be gone. Yeah, that's why. That's why I wouldn't even focus on him. But you say he's gone. But that's ridiculous. So you think that Eric Smith is more important to our team? That's what I said. Give me the top five for instance and their importance to the team you go after. Justin: Yeah, I mean if you look at like, Jake: you know Brad Smith's really important. He's a good special teams player. They have a Brad Smith package for like five plays a game. Right. He caught like two balls last year. Literally he caught two balls. So he's not a wide receiver. No, he's not a wide receiver. So he's a specialist He plays special teams he returns and it's been proven that in the Jets Return game any fucker could stand back there and return the ball you could Anybody in your current state we had Justin Miller make the pro ball. That's crazy. Okay, anybody could stand back there and return He runs the the Wildcat. Okay, so we don't run the Wildcat or the option. Hopefully three plays a game. So again, I'm sort of trying to talk. Talk you something to losing him. I'm okay with losing him. Again, we can throw Cromartie return the ball really well last year when he returned. anyone can stand back there in that special teams and return the ball on kickoffs he doesn't do punts he only does kick off. I have to say that Eric Smith is more important than Brad Smith. Yeah, because he played really well towards the end of the year and in the playoffs he played really well starting safety and I think him and Leonard together could be really good tandem at the safety. So that's my take on it. All right. So that is the free to do. What else do we got there? What other news is just flowing? Baltimore cut a shit ton of people. Give me the shit ton of lists. Give me the list of shit tons. Oh, the people that they cut? Yeah, that's what I asked for. I have to go to that website to look. But one of the guys was a guy I think the Jets would be interested in, which is Kelly Gregg. He's a defensive end that played under racks in the 3.4 system. one of those guys like the scrap heap guys that Rex makes into really good players. That's Kelly Gregg. So right off the front. And Willis McGahy I think they cut, Derek Mason they cut. So some bigger name Ravens who've been Ravens, well Mason, Raven forever.
00 Jake: But some bigger name guys I think they're rumored to really be chasing Nnamdi hard. So they're cutting guys to make. I heard Houston was going after Nomdee. Houston, Baltimore, the Eagles, and the Jets are supposedly all really going after Nomdee. So it is the top free agent. There's no doubt about it. Off the three months, three minutes ago kind of feed, the Jets make an offer to San Tony Homes and the Jets make an offer to Camardi. Justin: So I was right, you were wrong, bitches. Jake: Doesn't mean that they'll sign. They make an offer. Right. Well, that means that they were the first... two priorities. I said Holmes and Kamari first two priorities. Great defense. It looks like Seattle is reaching an agreement with Tavares Jackson of Minnesota. Oh Seattle's gonna be going after him because because Hasselback's gonna be gone. Right, but and Minnesota just picked up a rookie in... A lot of guys are signing their unrestricted, sorry, undrafted free agents. So like, teams are signing like 20 of them because they really need guys in camp. Apparently the Vikings... are supposed to do is to vars Jackson are talking with the Redskins about McNabb a possible trade there could be interesting That was the rumor that was happening years ago. Yeah, it's funny. They didn't do it when they had the chance I'm not sure if McNabb has as much value anymore Although again, you put McNabb with you put anybody with Peterson and it's kind of like it's in yeah You know you hand the ball off and see what happens right any scramble when you need to um, yeah, so I know the Vikings, speaking of the Vikings, they've cut a bunch of guys. They cut Bernard Berrien, or they're expected to cut Bernard Berrien. They're going to cut Pat Williams, who I love. Big fat guy. So you know, just a bunch of shit happening in the NFL. All right, well, for this shit happening... And T.G. Barber making a comeback. We got tons of shit to cut. We might be back this week. We'll definitely be back next week. We're back, baby.
