09 Jake: 10, 3, 2, 1, 10, 11, 12, 13, 4, 10, 1, Welcome to the Jet King Podcast. Longest running year at Jet's Podcast, ever. I'm Jake, you're joining me 275 times in a row, just trying to find the dock. Good job is Justin. Justin, welcome to the dock. I'm here. So, sorry, clear my throat. We will not talk about what we did today. We will not talk about what we saw today. We will not. In the future though, we will. We will, but not today. In the future, we will. We will talk about the draft. So I have a couple ways to do this. I wanna break this down by, so this is our annual draft. I hate this. What? I really don't like this. You make me pick names. . Yeah. I don't know names. I know like first round names. Beyond that, I don't know shit. Listen, here we're gonna go. We're gonna talk needs first. Okay, needs assessment. And then we're gonna do strategy. What's your draft strategy? And then we'll do predictions. And then you can just sleep for the rest. Alright. Alright. I have a first round whole thing. Like I have a whole spiel. Good for the first round. Good. Beyond round one. I'm just going to say big fat guy. I've got one, two and three. Like I've I've got all the way through seven. We have all these picks. Are you certain? Yes. We have to. I thought we traded last year. I thought. Yeah. But last year I thought to get back into the fifth round. Last year of. Last year's draft. I thought we traded like one of this year's picks out of way. I think this is all I think This is a certain. Well, I'm pretty sure Let's talk needs mmm rank your needs for the New York fighting jets Now let me clarify am I Ranking my needs in terms of what we really really need or am I ranking it in terms of like how we should approach the draft? No, that's a strategy Needs quarterback agreed Next quarterback. No, that's just you get one like so it's position wise Quarter back then I would say corner back great be my second Third would be So how many of these do you want me to list keep going? All right third would be some sort of skill position player probably receiver Okay Yeah, I think that goes double time so like skill position receiver tight end
03 Jake: Even running back just some speed on the field an offense Offensive line and then I'll get to the edge on the pass rush So safety. I mean, no, not necessarily. I mean, I think corner, I think all the things I said are bigger needs than safety and linebacker and defensive line. I think defensive line, defensive line is the only thing that. Yeah, defensive line line. I think the front sevens fine. You still have Pryor, who's average. Gilchrist is still on the team, right? We didn't cut him yet. He's average. You know, free safety, whatever. Corner is a bigger thing to me. And that's why I put it second. Yeah. OK. So I agree with all of that. I do think that, um. 1. What's getting to I mean, it's basically everybody but the defensive line I Think the front seven is fairly solid. Right? I mean defensive end. We don't have a Big ass pass rusher who you just you just say that guy's gonna dominate We just don't and we don't have any we have we have big ass pass rushers, but we don't have our fastest pass rushers Like but again, that's a what are we playing right? We play here. We play three four here Listen, what are we doing? Sheldon Richardson's gonna drop into coverage. Yeah, that doesn't work. Everything's gonna be fine. Sheldon Richardson's gonna stand Three yards away from the center and just you never know what he's gonna do. That's the defense So I agree with all that. Draft strategy. What's your draft strategy for New York? So I said needs were the first need was corner. I'm gonna just dismiss it. Dismiss it wholeheartedly and go right to pick or the offensive side of the football and pick speed and versatility okay that's my big thing as we need to be in versatility your whole strategy is speed and versatility speed offers to speed it Is your strategy I'm not telling what you pick we'll talk about who yeah, I know I get it and and I'd like for the new offensive coordinator to have some input on you know potential scheme fit off but but I think in general we need to be faster and More versatile in the ability to say like all right this guy can do a couple of different things for us He can play special teams. He can play You know different positions on the field or be lined up in different places confuse people run trick plays with We don't have guys like that. We have short receivers skinny receivers tall receivers, but no one's like an all-around
04 Jake: Guy who could just go right like go deep go over the middle Catch a screen pass and take it 50 yards like We don't have a dude like that. So here's my draft strategy. First of all, and I said this earlier today, but I have not in recent memory have I been a Jets fan and watched a team kind of throw up the white flag of rebuilding and kind of just run with it. They are being. Again, I've seen teams rebuild and every team rebuilds all the time. There's teams rebuilding all the time. But they're usually like, we're not rebuilding and nope, not rebuilding. The jets are just, they're like, no, we are fully rebuilding. It's we are getting rid, everybody that's, that's high paid. That's not in the, in the future of two to three years. And we're looking to build a team that's going to be good in two to three years. And that's it. Like, I've never, it's just ended up being very clear about it without saying it. Because you really can't say that because it hurts your free agency. It hurts your ability to, you know, get fans to go to the teams. Like, hey, hey kids, we're gonna win two games next year. You're gonna like it? Like suck for Sam. Now I don't think that that's their strategy. I don't think it's a suck for Sam strategy. But I do think it's a we're not we are not trying to be a You know put the last piece in the puzzle to win this year. We're not two players away We know because of the previous and I think you know, I think they have a good argument It's six two years of drafting and and then running the team have left this team with a with very little just true talent One article the other day is like the Jets have the least talented football team of all the teams. And it's hard to really argue, yeah you can do one or two teams, but as you look around and you look at like their skill position. Pretty fair argument. Isn't it? Well, I mean you can argue. We're Jets fans, we're gonna look at the guy and say, you know, he's better than him. Yeah, but you can argue like... some of these teams that are picking ahead of us like the Browns and the Niners aren't as talented as the Jax. Yeah, but they don't even want... They bought his salary for a draft pick. Um... So like the Niners don't have anything. So, okay, so saying that, if we are in true rebuild, and I think there's no argument that we're not... No arguments. No one is saying that 2017 Jets are within a playoff spot. No. Right. So the three things I think you have to get right about this draft or that you have to think about. Draft strategy. One, you have to get this draft right. That's not a strategy. Yeah it is. The strategy is not to fuck up. Meaning, no, no, no, meaning this is not about taking chances. This is not about being tricky, right? This is about pulling away guys that will be on this team for five to seven years or four to six years, right?
01 Jake: These, these has to be the foundation of this team moving forward. These guys are, these guys, so you do have to get this run right. And I think it's a fireable offense if they fuck this up. I think two, you need a QB. But you have options. There are other teams that don't have any options. I think we have options on the table. Some of them are, I mean some of the options are, we have two guys. I know you think one is a total pumpkin, the other guy we've never seen play ever. Think those are options. So I think it's it's enough to need part of me loves the idea of I know who you like You know, you want the cute you want the country QB? But part of me is like listen, that's just gonna fucking it's just one more guy out there that We don't know what he does. So as much as I want a QB I'm like unless it's just the miracle of miracles Like I see us picking tradition ski or whatever and I'm like, I don't want I don't want some guy just started 16 games I don't want some guy who's like, got to be put in the right system. Like unless it's a surefire thing, and I think we have enough, there's enough on our team to look at that I'm not, we have so many other holes, let's fill those holes. That's it. So then my third strategy is, this is the draft. And I don't, I think the hard part to do this is if, if everybody knows you need to do this, they don't do this with you. That's it. This is the draft to trade down. This is the draft to trade out of spots to pick up something else. Pick up another pick next year. Pick up a pick this year. Like if you are truly trying to rebuild, you need more picks. We could pick in every second category and need it. Almost nowhere except for like one or two positions, maybe one, do we not need somebody. But almost everywhere else, we could definitely use better players. So this is the draft to go, someone wants six and wants to trade, you know, down four spots, he wants to trade up four spots and wants to give you a second or a third. Take it. That guy, however good he was, you need two guys because we need so many things. So that's my strategy. So in my ultimate picks, if I were to pick out, like to actually do this, I want us to trade out of six. But I know that that's such an impossibility. And if teams know you want to trade out of six, they'll never trade out six. I would like to trade out of six as well. The problem is, I mean, what do teams trade up for? Quarterbacks right and I don't really see the need for a team to trade up unless they're in love with a particular quarterback There's nobody it's always nobody in front of us who's gonna pick one and then the only team would be yeah You're right the Browns but they picked 12 and when you look at the teams ahead of them The only team that would maybe pick a quarterback is the Bills at 10 Well, I think the bills of 10 are going to pick a quarterback. Right. So they don't have to trade up to six. They can trade up to eight. But if eight, if there's if we go one through five and zero quarterbacks
03 Jake: have been taken, sure. And we've made all the noise in the world. Look, we're going to pick a quarterback. Better be making some freaking noise. Like now, like let's let's get them all in. They've had they've had great. I'm back. Right. Start talking about start talking about it. The Browns who have more picks than they need. Truly more picks than they need. I Would love to pick up two or three of their picks sure from 12 to 6 you probably get a two out of that Yeah, maybe even like a three this year for next year's four or something silly like that So but it's hard to go into prediction and predict that because it's just like it's just too much. So I actually want what to happen, so now let's talk about what we actually think is going to happen. Okay. So I actually think a very good player is going to drop to us. And I've done enough watching the shows and whatever, and the one that it got me today, I was watching one of these shows, and the guy asked, if without need, without anything, who would you pick? Not a need pick, not whatever. Best available player now the last time we did best available player the guy who we didn't Actually need at all pick Leonard Williams. We pick Leonard Williams, and I think it's worked out pretty well Yep, you pick the just across the board. Everybody knows this is a great guy. He's a great leader He's got a motor. There's no questions pick them The person I've heard and read, and again, I'm not a college, I don't watch college football, so whatever. And our other Jets friend is totally in love with this guy. I think Jamal Adams drops to us, and I think we pick him. The safety from Alice here. Everything I've heard about him is he is just... He is. Why do you feel like he's dropping to us? Why do you feel like he's not being picked second? I don't think I because I think that's where those TV logically goes, doesn't he? Like Miles Garrett goes one. Yes, Brown's pick. Miles Garrett. If they don't, then they're truly. Out of their minds, right? Why wouldn't you just go second to the Niners who need defense more than anything? They need everything just like we do. Yeah, they need everything too. Why wouldn't they pick the best guy? Well, first of all, there's the other safety that people like as much. Hooker. He goes on the... I want Hooker because I want a jersey that says Hooker on. Right. And a lot of the drafts, that's a one-two situation. So this draft apparently is very deep in corner, which is great because I think that means we don't have to like pick a corner in the first. We can wait it out and get a corner in the third because there's a lot of corners. That's the guy. Okay. He's the guy that I'm kind of I'm rooting for us to pick. I watch his tape with his little highlight reel. It just it. When I hear football people talk about it, it's like this is the guy. Just like Werner Luens was the best guy, but he dropped to us because other people had other needs. I think that's what's gonna happen. Sure. Okay. So that's my pick. At six. At six. You wanna make a 12 pick?
01 Jake: Do you wanna make a pick at 12 just for funsies? Oh. Like in case we're not picking six and we're picking at 12, this is who I'd take? We'll see you next week. I kind of have the six and 12. Who jumps ahead of us? It'd be the Browns. The Browns jump up, and who do they grab? Who do they grab? Probably a quarterback. Which one? Doesn't matter. Well, it does matter. Let's say it doesn't. Well, no, because I think at 12, if one of the... There's gonna be a quarterback sitting there at 12, just like there will be at six. There will definitely be one at six. There will might not be. Chabinsky will be sitting there probably at 12. Mahomes will be sitting there at 12. And Watson will probably, they'll all probably be sitting there at 12 unless the bills pick one of them at 10. So if we drop from one to 12, and we pick up. Six to 12. Six to 12, sorry. And we pick up, what do we pick up? It's gonna be a lot more fun. Can I pick up two picks? Yeah, probably a second and maybe like a four. We probably have like a second. And so many. I think they have a second and something else this year for something next year. Some equivalency just to get something else this year. I mean, they have 14 days. They can't pay for two guys. We said that we said it was well, but he did. I mean, I can't imagine why you would. Honestly, I know it's stupid, but if Watson was still there at 12, I'd take him. Because then you have extra picks, you can go pick and fill out the rest of your team. All right. So I'm picking offense. Okay. I think the offense is devoid of more talent than the defense is. And I don't know if we've picked an offensive player in years. Sanchez might've been the last first. Thank you very much. Round pick on offense right a long time ago when you think about it to not have a first round draft pick on offense so There's the guy I really want but I don't think he's The guy to pick it six who is it. I want McCaffrey, but I just don't think you pick him at six Yeah, it seems a little early it does So I'm gonna go with OJ Howard, the tight end. Oh that was a... what's this place had us picking him for a while? Mel Kiper had him picking him and they changed. I think it's a good pick because tight ends are the safety net for inexperienced quarterbacks. We're gonna have an inexperienced quarterback. And we're gonna have an inexperienced quarterback no matter what for a while. So tight ends are good because they run short routes, quick routes, they get open quickly, big red zone targets. They help young quarterbacks along. If you think about even just, you know, our guy came from New Orleans. So, think about how New Orleans uses tight ends. They use them. And derivatives of this type of offense use tight ends. Like it's not going to be like the last couple of years where we just tight end
02 Jake: didn't matter. So I think OJ Howard's a good pick. It's a safe pick. I think he's going to be good. Obviously, it will depend a lot on the quarterback. Like a tight end can't be good on his own. Yes, they'll have the ball thrown in his direction. Right. But I think accurately or or make great catches, but I think tight end is a position in the NFL these days that. Big targets matter. So having a big dude who can play in the red zone and play over the middle and just get open quickly is gonna be very important and be a safety valve. So if we're picking at six, I like OJ Howard. If we're picking at 12, I roll the dice on McCaffrey. I love the kid. I think he's gonna be a fantastic player in the league. So can I ask you what happened to your... Don't pick a running back in the first round? No, no, you're I want Watson no matter what. I decided that quarterback just... it's not gonna matter this year. We're gonna be terrible anyway and... There's better quarterbacks next year? I mean, I think we're gonna pick higher than six next year and that's the thing. If there's no consensus... Gotta get this quarterback and there's not even a consensus on who the best quarterback in the draft is And it's not even like a a winston mariota situation where it's like all right. They'll both be good It's like which one do you want? I I'm not gonna necessarily just pick the guy at six because he's there Maybe at 12, but I just don't think that that will be the case. Like that's why the browns would trade up the draft and quarterback at 10. So now you're just like, all right, Kaiser is, can I get my homes later? Well, do I want another one of these quarterback center before? And one of the things that kind of turned me off was the Gruden camp. He did with Watson? Yeah, it totally was like, I don't want this guy. HA! I don't want him! It was, I mean Gruden's talking to him how a coordinator would talk in his helmet. Right. And he's like barking plays at him and he can't repeat them back. These quarterbacks are not ready. Alright, so let's move on to number two. So I agree with you about tight end, but I think we should wait until the second round. Because I think there's two guys, and one of them is going to fall. Like out of the first. So O.J. Howard is the number one guy, everybody kind of agrees.
00 Jake: And there's David Ninjoku and Evan Ingram. Ingram? And I feel like one of those guys is gonna hit. I kind of like Njoku just because I think he's he looks bigger for me. It's taller and with a great last name put on Jersey. Njoku. Who are you Njoku in? Njoku. Njoku. So I would like to pat. They're saying he'll get the first round like projected round first. So you know but I think him or Evan Hengrum could drop out. I would take them in the second round. That's my second round pick. Okay, so I think Adam's I don't have a if I had another pick pick but uh I didn't do it. I had every pick ever right? I would just keep going and just pick, you know Quarterbacks and running backs. I mean our second round picks have been terrible. I almost want us to like perfectly pretty trade out of two and get like four fours I don't know if that's a thing but historically pretty Pretty awful and recently terrible. Yeah, I mean picking another tie down in the second round Also kind of brings me back to my boy Amaro, which just feels bad. Yep What are you doing in the second round? Um So again, this is really hard to do because you have no clue who's gonna do what Um, no clue and just reading through like, you know where other mocks have other people and i'm just looking at the name sort of surrounding the jets and I feel as though we should pick some sort of tackle Really? Second round tackle. Yeah, like I feel like the offensive line, like we just got beach him. He's another like short term band aid, not a cornerstone type of guy at left tackle. Why don't we pick a tackle and groom them earlier on? Not a fifth round guy like a second round dude. So I mean there's one name that sort of jumps out. I'm not gonna name a tackle I know I know that a call I know there's the Wisconsin dude that that our our fellow our fellow friend Likes was it ramp ram chick ramsick something around those lines, but he's supposed to go in the first So if he slips to the second, awesome. But there's another name, and I'm assuming that we're picking six, then I'm assuming that we picked Howard. It's one of those that you have to like sort of take a deep like bloop, and say, if Joe Mixon's still on the board. I know he like, you know, beat up his girlfriend and stuff, but damn, that's a first round talent. And if you can get a shit together, that would be a hell of a running back to have. Wait, did you just drop off of a tackle to a to a running back? I did. You just talked about tackles.
00 Jake: I talked about a tackle. Oh, you're saying basically that tackle doesn't hit us. Then you want a running back. And I'm talking about a specific running back. OK. So you think they're on the board. If they're on the board. Yes. I mean, best player available. This is all I can do. I can't like say like, oh, well, no, they're picked already. We're mocking. OK. OK. Mixing. I like it. It would be like one of those... The only reason why he didn't get picked in the first is because he's a bad dude. Right. And I'm okay with that. I'm gonna like... It was like a... You have to take a deep... Like... Right. But... Uh... Go with it. Alright. I... You know what? In my mock, I did not pick up a running back, but I was gonna wait for later. Um... So, I actually... My mock has some... My mock has some things in it. Your mock sucks. My mock sucks. But I am going corner in third round. So we have two fourth round picks. Two fourth rounds or two third rounds? We have the last pick in the third because it's compensatory for snacks. So that was two fourth rounds. Which can we talk about what a mistake that was? That was a mistake. Yes. We signed Wilkerson with the whole ordeal. Right. And we should have just given Snax the deal we gave that he got from the Giants. And let Wilkerson just go. Right. And be like, all right Moe, you, sorry dude. We didn't have to let him go, we could've actually just franchised him. Like, we- remember, he would've been over this year. And then we could've franchised him this year if we wanted. No, then we would've been over the cap, I think. Like, we wouldn't have been able to sign snacks. We could've just been like, later Gator. Like, it's gonna be snacks for Richardson and Williams. And man, that's fucking good. We fucked that up. Yeah, but we all thought it was right at the time. But guess what? Hindsate is 2020 and now we look back and we fucked it up. I agree. We did. We signed the wrong guy. So I'm looking at corners in the third round. Like a third round corner. I like a third round corner. Okay, I'm gonna pick Cordraya Tankersley from Clemson. Why? He's a big dude 6'1 200 pounds Boys at Clemson. So that's why and I think he'll I mean he's supposed to go in the second round I don't think he's they have like they have Out of all these corners, they have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten of them going the first two rounds. Ten corners are not going the first two rounds. Some of these guys are going to drop out. That's amazing. There's a lot of corners. That's the whole thing. The projected rounds is a lot of corners. That's pretty nuts, I gotta say. Alright, so, uh, let's keep going here. You can, we can just tell, we can go positions. I don't know if you have, do you have, I have other guys, but again, they're just me going through. I have, like, I would like an edge rusher.
02 Jake: Okay. Just like a guy who can come off the edge. Um, who do you, who do you like of those guys? I don't know. In the third round, it's whoever the fuck is there. There's, I, I really have no idea. Um, there is a guy, though... And this would be unconventional, but I would like to take in the third as the compensatory pick is a second tight end. Name Jake, but OK, first of all, his name's but OK, that's awesome. I want a jersey that says but. OK, I'm on a hooker jersey and I want a butt jersey. Hooker butt? I kind of want him to sound insane. No, we can go with butt hooker or hooker butt. Hooker butt, yeah. Either way it's hooker butt. Wouldn't that be cool? Like have a little too tight end action? One's more athletic, one's sort of the bigger dude. It works. Too tight ends work. I love we went from two years of having no tight ends and it was all, You look at you look at offices that work and they do use multiple tight ends some of them use three It does work so I feel as though that and And I I mean the guy's he's pretty good. I mean played at Michigan. He's a good player I remember seeing him play so tell me tell me this So I want to run back to the fourth one. I'm picked all offense so far. Oh, except for this edge rusher guy. Edge rusher guy. Yeah, this edge rusher. So give me a reason to- This mythical edge rusher. You don't want like, let's talk scenarios. Okay. For net drops. To six? Yeah. I don't want him. Don't want him. Okay. I actually want McCaffrey more than I want for Nick. I know that sounds crazy, but I- You're supposed to be a first round talent. Well, the thing about him is that he's, he is, he fills so many gaps on a team with one roster spot. So he's your kick returner, he's your, he could be in any down running back, he's definitely your third down running back, and by the way he can play slot receiver too. So he just fits so many, he just fills gaps on a team that needs gaps filled. To me, a bruising back is not what we need. I'd rather have a back than that is way more versatile than... I mean the only way to do that is just because... I just don't think he's having the competition... ...being the one, you know, four or five year type of back. Yeah, he was really good at college but you know what he was also the... he pulled a little bit of a Jadavian clownie and it took clownie a while Like, until this year, to prove that he was anything, he took, you know, he didn't play in his bowl game, either did McCaffrey actually, but he was like, not even wanting to play
00 Jake: this season. I'm too cool for school. Yeah. I don't really like that stuff. I don't really like that kind of stuff. No, I don't like that stuff either. Now, we talked about why not take the quarterback. Well, we both agree. So there's no point in talking about why not take a quarterback. And again, it seems weird to be talking about if if we could pull off. The perfect storm, right? Yeah. That you are that you because I think, you know, the JF fans I hear is to suck for Sam, suck for Sam. So we don't have a fourth, by the way. . difficult. pulling off like to go into a season and to say lose this many games and you know you only can win s like you know you only can win three like really three is the number because basically everybody wins I mean you're the Browns one or two like you're to do. That's the thing. Like, yeah, I would like to wake up at the end of the have it done and get the first pick. And apparently this guy is that good that everybody's talking about him like he's the greatest thing ever. I, but like so difficult. And it comes down to that last week and you're playing the dolphins and you want to win. Oh, it's too, it's too. . Yeah, second. So we just got rid of the second round. Then we picked the fourth round. You have no clue if these guys have anything. Right. And you picked them thinking that they were gonna have something. Yeah. And again, it just muddies the waters and do really want to carry four quarterbacks again. And, and right then you have no one has practice time. No one can see if it, let's just get to see if these two guys can do something. I don't even care who.
00 Jake: I know I do. They look they look like I care very much. I do not really care at all. I never want to see Bryce Petty on the field ever again. Really? Really? I don't. I, I don't need to see it. We'll see, because, you know, I've heard- You change your mind. I don't need to see it. I'm done with him. Oh no, I'm not. Absolutely not. Totally done with him. It's clean slate. Going forward. Not me. It's clean slate. Not me, Johnny. Why? He lost you what? Two games you didn't care about winning? I don't care that he lost. I care that he couldn't stay on the field. Yeah! Terrible. You're right. Terrible. Yeah. But that doesn't make- But do you know why he couldn't stay on the field? Because he didn't know what he was doing. Great. Because he wasn't coached up. Because he didn't have a great quarterback's coach. Because he was never given grace. I don't want to see him on the field. Because he had- fucking Ryan Smith Patrick in front of him the entire season. Don't hit Jesus Smith. He was a third string quarterback. Are we done with this draft? Can we be done? Yeah. All right. Done. Great. Good. Pick fast guys. Pick guys who would play on special teams in the last rounds. You got picks in the fifth, sixth, seventh. Don't worry about it. Just pick guys who you know will try hard, like good character dudes, and can run fast and can hit people on coverage. I'm dead serious, right? And if one of them turns out to be a good safety or whatever, awesome. Like, pick two safeties and pick a guard. There. Two safeties in the guard? Sure. I'm kind of I'm getting all in on DeMalle Adams so it's kind of getting to like I kind of want us to pick him but whatever we'll see. See if free safety or strong safety? He's free safety. No wait I had it written down. Crap. Because if he's a strong safety then they need to do something with the prior. Uh, because prior is not a free safety. No, he's not. They got to move him. Move him where? Trade him for a bucket of beans. We can't trade. That's the other thing. Sheldon Richardson. I know there's like this. We can't trade him. Again, you need to rebuild this team. Need players and he's cancerous. He's cancerous. I don't see why we can't just trade him with the Cowboys. At this point, his value is a third round pick. That is what he is worth. Because if you got anything more, he's a third round pick. That's not a sign. And he's a third round pick. But that's a lot of F's. It's like if next year. It's not an F. It's a. He breaks his leg next year. Never plays another football. He's not the round pick. Fine. And we got nothing because he broke his leg. So it's an F. Sure. But let's go with that. Well, he better be better than us here. You know, rehabilitated, like having a full season
00 Jake: under his belt. Well, he's at workouts now. All right, so next week, or the week after, we'll come back, we'll talk about the draft. Draft happens not, is it next week? Yes, next week. So we'll do an after draft episode, and we'll also do a schedule episodes. a schedule episode, or do the same episode, because the schedule comes out. My favorite time of year. What games I want. I want to go on the road for. Well, like who? Oh, I, I don't want to open it home. I want to have, I want to do the double away. Why? Because this team is going to be terrible. And I just want them to lose a couple games up front and just come home. Like I don't want to do what we did last year. Like come out and win the game. Have like, yes, we can do it. I want you to go on the road, lose a couple games, but like have a guy that we're excited about. like playing and just see him come in yeah I'd rather end the season at home that's cool all right any thoughts on that you don't care don't give a shit moved off well no I mean I I mean it does mean more games later in the season at home which is like goddamn it I'm going to see this 211 team in the cold So that is a thing, right? It's like as opposed to opening, Oh, I'm wearing shorts! Oh, it's so fucking hot! Oh, it's too hot! Like, really dude? Do you want to be here in December for three games? Do you want to play three out of the last four at home and watch the 2011 Jets go? We can do like four games in a row at home in October. Okay, alrighty then, we'll see you in a couple weeks. Justin and Jake saying, let's go.
