20 Jake: Welcome to the Jet Kingdom podcast, the longest running New York Jets podcast. Ever period, end of sentence. whether he likes it or not. Then Monday, Tuesday, it builds back. But then I was at a concert last night. So now it's like kind of pre-destroyed. I'm ready. We got a big agenda today. First of all, apologize to everybody. For what? For not having a podcast on Monday. That's your fault. Winners Monday. Probably. Here's my scheduler. That's true. And say hi to Bird. Bird's here. Bird's here. Bird's going to be very loud in T minus 10 seconds. All right, got a big agenda today. We're going to talk. Fuck. about the Jets versus the Broncos game recap. Pick our Knights of the Game, play the game, and injuries, we'll talk about the Jet Kingdom, Fantasy League, the Pick'em, AFC Throne Picks, Keys of Castle, from Beaten the Colts, and then we will get out of here. So, well, that was just a noise. So why don't we start with the game that was in the world that we saw. I mean we could talk about last night's drubbing. I'd rather not. Well, just as a fun thing, cause I know this is like in your head and you've said it a couple times on or off podcasts, like will or will not the giants deeply regret picking? Barkley over over Donald at two well Just an interesting was there more to that question the question I answer it Sure It's a it's a weird one because it depends right it depends on How bad will the Giants be this year looks like they're gonna be pretty darn bad They might not to the point of having like the first overall pick and then they'll pick and at that point it's Is there a quarterback Barkley's fucking awesome. So there's no denying the fact that if you just give him the ball in space or not, he's gonna get yards. Yeah, so it's really down to the fact that Eli blows
00 Jake: and they overpaid a complete diva jerk off named Beckham, who they should not have overpaid. They should have just cut, tagged him. Just be done with him. He's a... He's a mess. He's, well, we say this all the time on Teams and, you know, he's a cancer. He's just a cancer. Did you see last week it was Sterling Shepard was like throwing a fit on the sidelines, like having like a mental breakdown, like smashing things. And you're like, oh, I wonder where he got that from. Yeah, I wonder where he got that, the idea that that's okay. Yeah. And then last night everybody was doing it, like the offense, the defense, everybody. And I'm watching. And I'm like, man, first of all. the Peter Principle couldn't be any more appropriate in terms of Pat Shermer. He's a great offensive coordinator, but when he got a chance to be a head coach in the league for the Browns, he was terrible. I don't think he won very many games, not many do with the Browns. And now, again, last year, he proved himself as a good offensive coordinator, got Case Keenum to look good, and then, As a head coach, he just looks like he doesn't have control of the team. And you gotta reign in that diva. And he can't get anything out of Eli's done. He's done. We've known this for years, but he's done. I just saw this morning an article that was writing about how done Eli was and how they just need to be done with him. And now it's a very hard thing to do because he won some Super Bowls and God bird knock it off Oh, no, no, no, she's gonna keep talking. There's no stopping her and and it's like wow Even with the weapons that are on the fields he can't make it happen. No, I mean we're talking throws And I don't understand, again, I was watching, I didn't watch any of the game, I Tivoed it, but then I came back and it was late, Yeah, watch the whole game. It was, oh, so then of course, I'm up against Barkley in two leagues, so I woke up this morning like, oh, that happened. And watching them lose by so much, and then watching his screen go up. I don't understand why the defenses aren't just like absolutely just saying, let me know, stop. They're trying. and and First guy is never tackling Barkley. I mean, he, everyone's like, oh, Barry Sanders, Barry Sanders, Barry Sanders. I'll bring this to the Jets. I think he's Curtis Martin. Oh, Curtis Martin, I don't think was ever a guy who like couldn't be tackled.
01 Jake: Curtis Martin always fell forward. Totally. Curtis Martin always picked up the extra yard. Always got the extra yard. Curtis Martin was harder to tackle than you think back in the day. Can't be the fifth leading rusher in NFL history with now fourth. Oh yeah, that was fifth, right? You can't have that many yards, and he had some jiggle to his game that people don't necessarily remember. He also caught the ball before that was fashionable. He was a very good- He was super versatile. He was very, well, I mean, yeah, it was all over the place. Like, I was thinking, like, he was a great at a one cut and go. Like, he would just say one cut, go, and then get through the line. He did have speed. I saw him get caught a few times. It's not like he outrode, you know, outrun everybody later in his thing, but He was a guy that you know, if he if he got out, especially in his earlier days I'm just seeing that pisper game where we're in the snow and he just started just ripping off runs. You ran for like 200 something yards? Yeah, he just ran. So like I think he reminded me of Curtis Martin, just his style. Everyone thinks Barry Sanders, Barry Sanders because he's a home run hitter. Yeah, but He's also just get him the ball and he'll get you eight yards. He's freaking awesome. And you can't really blame the Giants for thinking. I mean, they just miscalculated. Would they be better off right now with Sam Darnold sitting on the bench? Because he probably would not be starting immediately. And probably right now is when they'd be like, all right, is it time for Sam to take over? Oh, yeah. But without Barkley, would they be better off? I'm not sure. And we won't know this year they won't. And we won't know for like six or seven years because you know the quarterback is gonna last. Well they drafted the back. Would Barkley be completely worn to shit after five years? And that's the other thing about how great Curtis Martin was is the longevity and the production. didn't. deep into his career. Like 10, 11 years of 1,000 yard running in a row from the start. I don't know. You can't tell that kind of stuff with a running back. They might run him into the ground. All right. Let's get to the gents. Yeah, this was tied in because of the whole track. Well, let's talk about home run hitting running. Home running, I say. So. I don't think the game that either one of us thought was gonna happen, we both kind of picked close games. We neither one of us picked... We thought the defenses would um, would play a little better. I mean, I did nail the Denver score. 16. Yeah, but you had us winning by a point. I missed the jet score. Okay. Well, I didn't think they'd break out for 34. I didn't see that happening. Well, I had ours more at us at 30 and them at 27. I thought they would stay close. I just didn't see this happening. This was a way of domination. And it's interesting. Here's this Jekyll and Hyde jets. Like, here we go. A team that can dominate in two games and they can absolutely look like a pile of poo, second half pile of poo in a couple other games.
02 Jake: I mean the big takeaway for me, and I know it doesn't show up in the numbers, I know it doesn't, but we watched the film, or you watched it yesterday, I rewatched it yesterday as well, and we were watching Baldi's breakdowns today, and you know it's just, it's so hard, I'm just trying to keep all my excitement, like just keep it limited, don't turn into one of these like... Because the numbers, there's some, there's some definitely some completion percentage things, which I don't really think is on him, but man there's sometimes you look at him and I was looking at him that, that Baldy's breakdown and they were doing the, you know, one of his throws, one of his touchdown throws, and the way he just looks, the way he just like, I don't know, fills out the uniform, steps back and then makes these throws that they're not, they're not the guy going out to bail him out. They're perfectly thrown balls. Like, he's not being bailed out. And if you looked at all his throws, and they only had ten completions, so it's not like a lot. You know, even the ones that, they weren't bailed out. And he's not making, you know, you watch those rookies, you watch, we've seen so many rookies and so on. They just make that boneheaded decision. They literally throw it. There's the guy waiting for him, like the defense, right there, and they're like, they just throw it right to him. And you're like, what the hell did you do? And Darnell's just not doing those. He's throwing a pick in every game. Yeah, this pick is not a pick. Sure. You know. It was still a pick. It's the... It was a pick. It's not a boneheaded pick. No, it was tipped. It was a tip call. It's not a Geno Smith like... you know, at your own ten and you just literally don't see the defense. There were things to pick on with Sam in this game. Yes, but I mean, but how many games has he started? No, I get him in his fifth game. When you see him play, don't you go, oh, you're a good quarterback. Like, I'm now going from an average quarterback to being his fifth game, thinking, man, if... If there's progression here in any way, if he just gets like... He looks a lot more comfortable. If he gets 10% better. He just looks comfortable. And that was his comment after the game. It was like, what do you think went well for you, you know? And he's like, had quieter feet. Yes, that was his big comment. Love that. Like, cause that's, like, I was watching the game last night and the commentators were talking about how great Carson Wentz looked and how much more comfortable he looked now that he's played a couple games. And Aikman made the point, he doesn't often make good ones, but he made a good point. He was like, he was like, look at this guy in the pocket. He's just standing there. You couldn't be more comfortable. Right, well the part of that has to do with your line. Yeah, he's not even moving. His feet aren't moving, he's just looking around. His feet are still. He is perfectly calm in the pocket. And that's what we have. We have a pocket passer who can do...
00 Jake: Wens is actually a great comparison for him. I think he's the comparison. I mean, I don't care about college, I don't care about anything. I just care about like... He can move like Wens, he can throw, and he can stand in the pocket if you want him to, and he can probably run some exotic shit if you put it in. Yep. But they're slow rolling that kind of stuff. And here's the under thing that happened twice in this game that I love, which... And I love this call, you know, we talk about it every time, we talk about the Patriots do it all the time, and you give Tom Brady... One yard, he'll get it. And there was two plays that... Two sneaks on third one. Two sneaks and one, he got stopped. Yeah, but he made it. And he kept pushing. And he got through it. I was like, I'm so happy that the play, the play where he's downfield blocking for Nuwa. Right. Oh no, no it wasn't Nuwa. It was, um... It was cross. No, I think it was... Or Balal. I think it was Balal Pal. A Nuwa was... Whatever we'll talk about him like they had a bad game. He just didn't have a game He wasn't there like he didn't I don't think he touched There's no made a couple drops and there was a pretty nice throw that Donald made for that would have been a touchdown I feel like a slightly taller receiver would have had yeah. All right, so let's talk well We can talk about the game is pretty much a total Tom. Yeah, it was It was totally but interesting enough. It started Because when you get to the end of the game, you're like, oh, we won 34-16. But then you go back and rewatch the game, and you realize how badly we started that game. We really started that badly. We gave the ball over. Yeah, and that's what happened. We had a fumble on our second play from scrimmage. We deferred. We kicked the ball off to them. Which I like. They punted it to us. Yep. So we got them off the field the way you're supposed to, and then Blah Powell, uncharacteristically, fumbled the ball on the second play of the game. But then we all saw the next court touchdown. And we gave them a touchdown. Then we go down the field, then we miss a field goal. Missed the field goal. That's a very jetsy thing to do. Yeah, but you know what? They were moving the ball, and what I'm proud of is that. That's it for today! If you enjoyed this video, be sure to like and subscribe! And as always, thanks for watching! Even though they ran the ball for the first two plays and the first one went nowhere and the second one was a fumble, they didn't give up on it. And they kept running the ball and that was big time because when you can do that, it doesn't even always matter who the quarterback is. Like if you can really run the ball and control the line of scrimmage the way that they did. the quarterback's gonna have a decent game one way or the other. But I'll tell you that again that's true and if our game plan had been a lot of like dink and dunks down the field but like what the difference is is that the skill to put that ball in the exact spot three times where the receiver's gonna catch it and no one else is gonna catch it in the world and it's either touchdown or nothing and be able to read the defense that's just a skill that again I just haven't seen. Don't go crazy. I'm not. But we've seen like Sanchez have this game. We've seen Gino have the perfect QB rating game. Like we've seen these games.
01 Jake: So like if you can dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, which is what we did. The line of scrimmage was ours. That was our line of scrimmage. On offense, we fucking ran for like 300 yards. and Sam was barely touched. I think they had one sack. And Von Miller didn't do shit. Well, it's funny, because he had one of the two blocks. He blocked it. He blocked it. But whatever. If that's what you get out of Von Miller, one pass deflection and no sacks, that's a good game. Beachman help, but he was doing great. Well, Von Miller lines up on the other side too. So Shell and Beachman. He lines up all over the place. That's good. It was a great game plan. And the defense, what more could you say about that defense? The stats on this don't even tell the... Claiborne had two picks, easy picks. Easy drops. Just drop them. Yeah, that's why he's a corner. And Marcus May should have thrown us over the 40-burger mark for the second game in five weeks. I can't believe that. And watching again and watching when he's... And there's no one around him. No one around. Why are you... And he slows down. Like, I know he was... Yeah, totally. Oh, he's in the record books now. Sure is. 104 yard return without a touchdown. The longest return... Longest play in NFL history without being in a touchdown or the longest interception return without being in a touchdown? Oh, probably both. How could he go 104 yards and not touchdown? On a kick return, perhaps. But not. get a touchdown, land at the one. Oh, that's exactly what Marcus May just did. I know. And he didn't even get pushed out. If he didn't get pushed out, he'd just tackle him. Dude, just dive. Dive. Throw the ball in the end zone. I know. Anyway, it was great. Let's pick our play of the game and night of the game. And maybe one more observation. Go ahead. there were back breaking drives that we could put on the field. And again, this was a lot of just big plays. We kind of had like three big plays. Even if you look at the other big plays, there was a big run by Blal. There was just big plays. There was huge chunk plays. Yeah, chunk plays. It was not a typical driving game, but when they needed to, when they needed to go down and score at the end of the half. STEVEN One of the latest They did. They did. And then when they got the ball at the beginning of the first half, second half, they scored. And it's that stuff that, again, that's what a good, and I sit there and I yell at you and you get all whatever mad at me, but like at the game and I'm like, good teams get the ball with four minutes to go, go down and drive and score. and then good teams having a half time, they come back. And they score again. It's what good teams do. It's how good teams win games, because you take a team that you're up on, and you just drive it home, and then you come back, and you basically put the game over. It's kinda over in the third quarter. They couldn't really do anything. Yeah, they had a couple shots. It was over, I think, when we went up by three scores in the fourth quarter. When we went up 27 times. Deepness wasn't really giving, if we hadn't gone to that prevent bullshit at the end, I don't think they would have moved very far.
00 Jake: And shutting down that running team, like in the beginning, that first quarter, those guys were picking up 10 yards at a chunk. Lindsey was Lindsey's a tough runner. He is. He's good. He's good. He's good. He's not drafted free agent, isn't he? Yeah, and he's really good. I think he was only because of his height, which is weird for running back. But he's fast and strong and good. Good job by by the defense to kind of slow that all down. So. All right, I'll give you a play. My play is going to be that, I mean, just that first Crowell 77 yard touchdown, because I think it changed the game a little bit. Actually changed the game a lot. We needed to score there. We needed a touchdown after missing a field goal. And we needed it to be. that type of play because really we we ended up scoring on that 77 yard run and then three and a half minutes later or three minutes later we score on a 76 yard Robbie Anderson go pass and it's like 10 yards a head on boom 14 points in no time and I think that Correll run gave the line, the juice that they needed for the rest of the day. Yeah, I wish I felt like this line was as good as it played that week. Again, that defense is supposed to be not easy. I think this is one of those, if you want to chalk something up to, I think playing Monday night and then having to come across the country and then play on Sunday afternoon. Not easy. I think that's a real thing. They really think that's... So who's your night of the game? You know, I kind of just want to pick the defensive and offensive lines. Like just whoever played on the line of scrimmage, all of everybody had great games. So we were all over Case Keenum, whether we sacked him or just pressured the hell out of him. He had no time. And we ran again. What we run for like. 300 some odd yards. I mean, that's that's like legit. We ran for 323 yards. So that's insane. And give up one sack. So good on you, offensive line. Yeah, they doing with that. They played amazingly. And you know, Kasky and stats, like at the end, like he had he put three and seventy seven yards. So that's a lot of like sat there and let them dink and dunk down the field for a couple of drives in the fourth quarter. But I will say mine was, I don't know which, I think it was third quarter, it was third and nine, which is hard, hard down, right? 39 and it was a Sam Darnold pass to curse. And it was on the money, it was just over, we got the first down and we able to continue that drive. Subscribe to my channel for more videos. Thanks for watching! To me, yes, the touchdowns are awesome, but again, it's that. Being 39, being able to get out of 39, his third down percentage and third down rating is better than his first two. I don't know if that's play calling or just, hey, he's, you know, is. But that's the stuff that wins games.
00 Jake: Like if you could get 39 and still convert. That played, I watched it again, I was like, oh my god, that play, that, cause it was that point where, if we punted, they're still in this game. I don't think we would have punted, I think we would have kicked a fill bowl. No, I think we were, I think we were too far back. Which play, the prior touchdown? No, it wasn't touchdown. It was just a 39, we just picked up the first down, but like, to curse. To curse. Yeah, that was a great throw. Awesome. He missed it later. Yeah. Like he threw it behind him later like and he was open It's a bad throw there, but that was a pro throw from the far hash That was a good throw. Let's talk about the thing that I when I rewatched I said to you before you watch I said watch the high snaps. What's up with the high snaps? And you're like, I don't remember the high snaps and then you watch it. No, I said I remember I remembered it on the the one play where it was like a third and goal and I was like, ah Fucking high snap just ruined that whole play and that was their one sack But yeah, there was there were quite a few Right a few and some of them were like Sam's who's 6-3 is jumping jumping or like that You know with one arm catch it this time to keep an eye on yeah and my plate I got to give it to grow. I mean yeah, it was stop wiping your ass with the football But what is fantastic that's just and it just shows like wow he's got giddy up he has he has a third and fourth gear and he has moves feel bad for Blau Powell who ran for 99 yards because he was in the game at the end kind of like doing the the mop-up duty and He lost a couple yards. He was over a hundred yards. I'm puns, but I don't think I'm... I think he's a fumbler. In preseason, we saw him make some pretty good moves. In preseason, we also watched him fumble. So I'm not about the acts that fumble the ball. That's Powell's one fumble done for the year fumbling. Jesus, why the hell would you do that? Oh, Jesus. I think two- It'll be nice to have another option there. And when the going gets tough to have fresh legs in there, I think that'll be great. So anyway, that's our plays, nice game. Awesome. Moving on. Alright, how do we do in the jet kingdom? You're doing the jacket. Did you win or lose? Who did you go against? I don't even know. Oh my God. I did this. I don't really pay too much.
00 Jake: I didn't even know. Do you want to jack the box? Jack with whooping and 141? 10. Yeah, thanks. I lost, I did terrible. It's like I hate losing when you like you have the lowest but then the person who beat you also had the lowest you're like ugh. Anyway, I lost to Chris, so congrats Chris. And this week I'm up against, I'm actually up against Jesse who's Rocky Mountain Jets. and I'm gonna lose. Okay. Because he had Wentz and Barkley. Oh, so he's kicking ass? So he has 53 points with two players. Real quick, injuries, injuries, injuries? Buster Screen? Screen is gonna be out for this game. Great, fine. I'm happy. I'm kind of okay with that. I'm ready for the Nickerson experiment. Move on. Wait, yesterday? Mr. Ray Johnson gonna come and- a, A? No. He's out. Wait, so I know. When I read it yesterday, uhm He was still questionable It's a- it's a hamstrion I hate hamstrings. Hamstrings are tough. It's that f corner. Yeah, you don't want to re-aggravate that? Ah, nice to have him back, although I don't think they'd be I don't think they'd be I don't think they'd be Yeah, but it'd be But it'd be be the team Maybe they'd be Two receivers Yeah, but it'd be Yeah, but it'd be tight end and they're bent in and they're whatever. World War III Like he's their real number one tight end. Great, but that wouldn't be Tremaine Johnson on him. I'm just saying. Yeah. Um. It's not too late. And then Leonard Williams had him back this morning. And I was like, well, that's all I'm talking about. Yeah, I think he'll be fine. Any other big ones? I don't think so. No. I don't think so. But I mean, Tremaine Johnson's big. Like that's. Yeah, we kind of need. . You know, highest paid player on the team. Let's do it, buddy. Yeah. But I'll say Claiborne. I know he's playing on these one year deals, but his tackling in one plays is really good. All right. Moving on. What do we got here? Oh, the jet kingdom. Pick them. The pick them. How are we doing in the pick them? I think you're now leading. I'm two games behind you. Did you win last night's game? *Justin: Yes. Jake: Me too. Well, first of all, that was the easiest pick on the planet. Rather simple. I mean, I just, so last week, let's talk about it because, you know, it needs to be talked about. So for two weeks in a row, I've won both weeks. Last week, I got a niner. And I'm now, I'm now eating the whole thing. Yeah, you're within reach. Back where, back where I belong, way above all you other f**kers. You're not way above anything. I'm way above everybody. Way? Like define way. Number one. To find way, way above. Me won, you five. Two games behind you, that's nothing. You were just four games behind me. Exactly. Or ahead of me or something. Now I'm two games behind you. I'm going this way, you're going this way. It's not a big deal. I'm going this way, you're going this way. Alright, let's do this. I'm picking every game against the spread. Except for the AFC East games. Which will... get a little bit more into after this. Last night, hey, by the way, I think Philly's gonna win this game.
00 Jake: Last night, Philly won 34-13. Philly was favored by three on the road, took it to him. Three. Hey look, they were like not, they didn't have a very good record entering that game, so, but they're just a better team, come on. All right, Atlanta is hosting Tampa. Tampa's gonna have Jamis back. I mean, Lanna's also not very good. And Tampa's getting three and a half, and I will take those three and a half, and I will pick Jamis and the Bucks. Yeah, I feel like, I think that's a good game for him to be back on. Atlanta's defense is terrible. They're just not playing well. They don't win either. Here's all these like studs. They don't score either? Like, how is that? How do they not put up a lot of points in every game? I don't get that. I'm going to take Tampa Bay. All right, Cincinnati is hosting Pittsburgh. Cincinnati is only favored by one at home. That's sort of weird. I'm going to take Cincinnati. I'm going to take Pittsburgh. I feel like they're an up and down team. They're going to have a good game this week. It just seems strange to me. Cincy could barely beat the Dolphins. They came back in the fourth quarter last week. I don't know. They're pretty good. They're, I don't know. I used to say they're sneaky good. Now I'm not as convinced. Pittsburgh's sneaky bad. Cleveland. As you trade away your, as you trade away Brown. They're just sneaky bad is the reality of the situation. They're not a winning football team right now. They've got issues. Anyway. way. Cleveland, winners of two games this year so far, is hosting the LA Chargers, and this is a pick-up. I like the Chargers, I think they're good. I have the Chargers in this game. I think the Chargers defense is starting to get a little bit better, and that's what's gonna be different. Chargers are good. And they got weapons. That one-two punch of their running game is not bad. Got a good weapon. it. But I don't take charges. If it's a pick, I'm taking the charges. Straight up. Same Z's. If there was points in here, I might be a little worried, but I'm not. Seattle at... Also, Cleveland needs to like settle the fuck down. And everyone talking about Cleveland needs to settle the fuck down. No, no, no, no, no. As a Jets fan, that's what you want. You want them all talking about the truth. Talk about them. Talk about Baker. How great he is. That's right. How Hugh Jackson is going to actually win things. Because we know that that's not the truth. So it's fine. Keep talking. Keep talking. Seattle at Oakland. Seattle on the road favored by 2 and 1.5. Really hung in there with the Rams last week, which is pretty impressive. Oakland kind of stinks. and it's not exactly like Seattle has to travel very far so I'm gonna take Seattle and I'll lay those two and a half. I have Oakland just for the just for the points don't know I don't know I don't know why I have Oakland. It's just a two and a half point. I know I have Oakland. All right um we're still doing one o'clock hour that's weird. You didn't count off fours. Only three floors. But how is Seattle at Oakland a one o'clock game?
02 Jake: Is that in like London or something? Oh, it might be. It might be. One of these games is in London, I'm pretty sure. Pretty sure. It's funny that we don't know anymore. I think it's the Jaguars game here. I'm going to click on the London game. Maybe that's no, it's it's you're right. It's Seattle. OK, so I'm about to say, how the fuck is that at one? Live from Wembley. By the way, it could be a one, it should be like 10, which would be way better. 10 in the morning? No, I mean, I like that, but now when I'm going to the game, so when I'm home, it's great. You're going to the game. No, no, I mean, I like it when I'm at home, like when the Jets are away, because then you can watch football from like 10 till 10. Yeah, it's the best. 10, 12 hours, I gotta keep going. All right, Minnesota's hosting Arizona. Minnesota is favored by 11 and a half, and I think that's actually not even enough. So I'll take Minnesota. That rookie quarterback is going to have a hard time in Minnesota. In Minnesota. You know I hate these big spreads. I know you do, but I don't hate it this time. Arizona is not very good. Arizona is not very good. All right. I should trade that fucking running back. Washington, well they just resigned him to a big deal, so I don't think they're trading him. What are we looking at? I thought I saw someone open a window and someone's gonna fall out. Oh, that's not good. I don't wanna see any jumpers. All right, Washington's hosting Carolina. It's a pick-em. I like Carolina. Washington's looked kind of crappy the last couple games. Yeah, I agree. All right. The Rams are going to Denver and the Rams are favored by seven and a half. This could have been 14 and I'd still pick the Rams. Yeah, after watching what we did, they have a better defense than we do. It's in Denver, so I think that's why it's coming down. And again, as we talked about, although they didn't do it to Seattle, they didn't round up that score. They scored. They scored 33 points. They're gonna score 33 points. It's just so happen that Seattle kept up with them. Yeah. They're gonna score. They're gonna keep scoring. And I don't think Case Keenum's good. Not good. Could be. Not a good play. Well, we'll talk about the indie when we get to indie. Because I just think we all need to, all JET fans need to get out a pen and paper. Dear Indianapolis Colts. I read a big thank you letter. Thank you so much for two things. You did two things in the offseason with us. Traded with us for Henderson and traded with us to move up to number three. And I feel like while one is clearly a bigger deal than the other. What did we give up? Anderson, you're talking about. Anderson, sorry. What did we give up for that? I guess I had that. Nothing, probably. Yeah. Thanks. He's actually productive. He's gonna have a, that's gonna be a fun like, you know, rivalry part. All right. But thank you, Cults. Thanks, guys. All right, Jacksonville is going to Dallas. Jacksonville's favored by two and a half. My Jags, they bounce back, they beat the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas is terrible. Jackson's very inconsistent. They're like, they're an up and down team. They win one week big. But you know what?
00 Jake: They're don't like they ran into a buzzsaw in Kansas City. Bortles. At KC is tough. Bortles. I get it. Bortles dropped. ... about 400 yards on us, and I don't think Dallas is any better than the Jets. I know their offense is not better than the Jets offense. I know that their offense sucks. They suck. Yeah, they're not playing. Like Dak Prescott's proving why he was a fourth round pick right now, because that proves how important the offensive line is. Like when you have the best offensive line in the league and a running back who can run, you can win some games. Yeah, I still feel like Dallas is gonna win. Get close or win, so I'll take Dallas. I don't think so. Their coach blows too. Last game at four. Baltimore at Tennessee. Baltimore favored on the road. I'll take the points at home, Tennessee two and a half. I will take Baltimore on the road. Thank you. Tennessee is no good. We're gonna skip Sunday night, even though it's an awesome one. We'll talk about it in a minute. Pretty much the best game of the week. Game of the week and it should be on Sunday night. And then we've got Monday night, kind of a shitty game. Green Bay hosting San Francisco. Green Bay favored by 10 and a half. And I do not even care. I think Green Bay will win by 20. D. I don't like 10 and a half. This one's too high. San Francisco? Yeah. Really? I just, I don't think- They're starting running backs like doubtful. I just feel like this could be 17-13. They're starting like, Green Bay's not putting up 17 against San Francisco. Wait, I'm telling you, Rogers is one hit away from not playing and then they're back up. that dude from last year? No actually it's DeShawn Kaiser. Oh yeah great. But I don't think Green Bay is much enough. 10 and a half is too much. I don't like the I don't like yeah I don't like it on Monday night. I mean last week they scored 23 but that's only because their kicker literally missed four field goals. I think it was five. I think you missed an extra point too. Okay. Justin: And then they kept him. Jake: Yeah, but they've scored over 20 points in every single game. Great. So to think that they'll score 17 against the San Francisco team, 20 to 10, 21, 13. Whatever. OK, let's go to the FCS. All right. How do you do last week? I went three and one. I think I did, too. Right. We got the indie game. We got the knowing again, easy. We both. We muffed on Buffalo because we thought Buffalo was going to lose and they won. They actually beat Tennessee. Right. But we thought they, they'd lose. Yeah, we both. Both picked them and then we both thought Miami would lose. Yep. And we both had the Jets to win, even though you were kind of like, whatever. And pick just to score only 17 points. Do you know what New York Jets team you're looking at here? This is a team that wins, baby. At least I got the 16 right. Just win. All right. So let's talk about it. Did I get the scores right this time? I don't know. All right. Um, I don't know. Chicago's at Miami, and you've got Miami as plus 3.
01 Jake: Yeah, you got that right. Woo! So yeah, Chicago coming off a bye, bringing Mitch to Miami with that high-powered offense. I don't think it's that. I think it's that high powered offensive system and that defense that sacks the shit out of quarterbacks and just creates turnovers and just goes nutty. Yeah, Chicago's good. People are talking about them. They'll talk about them. Like being really good. I think they could be pretty good. We'll see. Yeah, I don't think they're gonna run up the score like they did. prior to their bye week, like they had six touchouts. I don't think that's happening. But I do think that they will be able to square the ball a little bit. Hey, hey remember, it's just my dishwasher. Yeah, what is that? Hey, remember that, remember when the dolphins were undefeated in the top of the AFS? Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, me neither. No, I don't remember that. 2310 Chicago. I think they're just gonna beat up on them. I think it's. Kool Max show. I would like to I like this is like the I'm actually excited we're going in two weeks right two weeks Chicago I can't wait to actually watch Chicago like a full game of them because I haven't really watched them fully Kind of where night games now are becoming more fun because with all the red zone and you know I put on 17 games and fantasy, you know, you focus on a lot of different games But I love like actually a Monday night Sunday night Even Thursday night, it's like I just like to watch one game and just watch it completely I'm kind of excited. I think their Chicago's gonna win big-time 30-17 the Bears Great. All right. Next we got Buffalo at Houston. You just favored by 10 Yes, you shouldn't be favored by 10 against anybody Let me go back here. Let me see if I didn't mess this up Houston by 10 over Buffalo. Yeah, that's amazing Um, they shouldn't be favored by anybody. I think they're gonna win. I just don't think they're gonna cover 10 So in the pick them I've got Buffalo, but IRL I've got I've got Houston 1713 I don't think they're quite on track just yet on offense Again, remembering that Watson still hasn't started a full season's worth of games, but they do have Hopkins, but that's about it. Buffalo is a decent enough defense, but they really can't score, which hurts their defense. I think this is 17-13. Not on the road. I think Houston can. They're a big hit team. I mean, I watched because I have... uh what's his face, Watson in a couple leagues or maybe one league. I was watching him intently. He had three touchdowns that didn't that didn't happen. I think Buffalo's gonna lose. I think they're gonna lose big. I picked the Texans to win 30-17. Okay. 30-17. I see what you're doing here. All right. So Kansas City's going to New England. Yes.
00 Jake: New England is favored by three. Basically means this is a pick-em-on on neutral field. Sunday night, bright lights, Pink City? Not really. Middle of nowhere. Middle of nowhere. Bright lights, middle of nowhere. Well, they have a... they have a... Patriots place. Sure, they have a mall. Um, what's the stat? 21-0, 22-0, 23-0, something like that. Bell check at home against... quarterbacks under the age of 24. Some crazy-ass stat that he just doesn't lose to these guys. Kansas City's been beating up on New England for a couple years now in the regular season and I think that comes to an end this time around and I think New England wins a close one. 27-24. I'm a big, like, you know, I'm not one of the hype guys. I don't get into, like, a team that, like, starts off hot and looks so good and you're like, oh my god, they're the real deal. Like, generally with sort of young quarterbacks, you're like, eh, this team I've watched a couple of their games, I actually think they are. They play both, will take you to the house, they also play tough and close. Like, they're just, I think they're a good team. They're well-rounded. They've got weapons. weapons. Well coached. The game of the um... Millennium? The game of the century? I'm just gonna change my score here. There we go. Alright. You can't change your score. Changing it. So gents are favored by two and a half. Not enough respect to get the full three against a one and fourteen. Interesting. So we're hosting the Colts and the Colts have Andrew Luck. And that's about it. Right? Kind of it. Kind of it. Their defense is sort of not so great. Right? taken us to the woodshed before. But with that said, I mean, I don't know, they give a lot of points, the Colts. So especially the last two weeks, they've lost 37-34 and 38 a and 38-24. So they've been doing up in the mid to high 30s, three out of their five games already this year, 34-37-38. So there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to move the ball. And there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to hold them under 30 without all these weapons.
02 Jake: They have no running game to speak of. And no T.Y. Hilton. So it's really the Andrew Luck Show. And it's all about like... Hitting him tackling him and making sure he goes down not letting him elude you yeah You know, this is gonna be super repetitive, but my key to the castle is to win the fucking line of scrimmage It seems like that works like against Detroit. We won the line of scrimmage against against Denver We won the line of scrimmage. We also had some pretty big special teams plays in both of those games part returns namely Roberts had a touchdown in the Detroit game and he had a pretty long one in this game, which really matters when you have a rookie quarterback, the field position, it all matters. So 23-17, J-E-T-S, chachachaching. Oh, by the way, this is the game where we are commemorating the 50th anniversary of our Super Bowl victory. We won a Super Bowl? Against the Colts. So this will be the game where we celebrate that. And we're also wearing some throwback... Um... Not... Like the helmets are gonna be a little different. Not the actual helmet, but the face mask is gonna be gray and not white. That's stupid. Oh, I guess maybe it was gray in that game. That's stupid. That's like... That's like... No clue, but it's a thing. I do not like celebratory games. I always feel like the team doesn't do well in celebratory games. And I have this weird feeling about this game. It kind of makes me nervous. I kind of feel like this is a game that we can just easily win. I just feel like we can go out. I think we're going to be better on them in defense, better on offense. Our special teams is playing well. I think the answer to this game is actually, the answer is the question. The answer is the Q. The answer is Quincy. he's got to be back in this game. The difference of this off, we have these big chunky plates. That's great. I don't think you're gonna get those. I think they're gonna, you, you know, someone's gonna watch the tape from last week and be like, do not expressly get behind you. Stay way above him. Don't play press coverage. Like, I think they're gonna not let that happen. So what's that gonna allow for? That's gonna allow for us. and he was a really good guy who was a really good guy who was a really good guy. painful, but I think they're gonna try to take away Robbie. I think that's what they're gonna do just because everybody's reactionary. I think they're gonna play tough to the run, although because again I don't know if their defensive line
02 Jake: as porous as Denver was. So I think it's gonna be a lot of like we're gonna change it up again like this and kind of go back to Maybe a little bit of what they did in the first game. Again, this offense in the first game was so so good that they don't do that stuff anymore. I'd like to see more play action, and I want to see Quincy get the ball. Totally see us winning this game. And I think it's going to be pretty much a blowout. I'm predicting. Jets win. 37. The theme. 30-17. , 30- 30- But we'll be there, we'll get loud. I love what they're doing with the new thing in the stadium. By the way, if you go to the games, they brought in Rick Flair, which I hadn't remembered. That was only for this game. It was only for this game? Yeah. It was a WWE like takeover game or something. Oh, yeah, that's true. Loebe and Garcia sang the national anthem. The big show did some pregame thing with the horn. and then they had the... Rick Flair. Woo! I thought it was great. I actually thought it was... Styling and profiling. I love it. I just thought that was great for first downs, whatever. Yeah, we should stick with the Rick Flair. Let's license that Rick Flair thing. It's me too. Let's do it. Quick play. Anyway, we'll be back next week. Until then, as always, Justin Jake saying... Let's go, gents. You
