16 Jake: This is episode 36 of the Jet Kingdom podcast for Tuesday, November 25th, 2008. Smackdown Welcome to the Jet Kingdom podcast. This is a glorious, glorious Tuesday here in the United States of America. And as always, on this side of the Digital Isle, Jake. And on the other side we have... I'm still in America, although on the other side of the Digital Isle. As always, this is just funny. It's funny because I say digital aisle, and I don't know if it really makes any sense, except for obviously we're doing this via Skype. But digital divide is what they call it when people can't get to the internet, for the people in the country who can't get to the internet. So I find it interesting that I call it digital aisle. But, and that's the end of the podcast. I'm glad you find that interesting. Hahaha. So, let's talk about a little bit about the JETS JETS JETS JETS against the undefeated, oh, sorry, not so undefeated, Tennessee Tight. Do you mean the first place JETS? Let's talk about the first place JETS. First place. Thank you. Let's talk about just the game that was and an amazing thing. I mean, you know, as we had talked about in the last podcast, I was extremely worried going into this game. I mean, this is a tradition. For the record, I wasn't. Yeah. This is a traditional, because you're not true Jet fans. You're a frickin' Patriots fan. And Patriots fans don't worry about Jets games. times. But as a Jet fan, you realize this is the type of season that starts to scare you, right? Doing really well and all of a sudden you hit a bump in the road and then there goes your season. So I had every right to be worrisome. But what happened was a thing of beauty. Probably, I mean, probably the best game of the season yet. Second best game. I mean, it's tough. We've had actually some good games this season. I think it was. I think it was the best game so far. They played the best, meaning they played the best overall game. They played really well on defense. They played really well on offense. They played really well on special teams. They played a complete game and went into. a very difficult place to win where nobody has won in a while and I think they were a ten and oh this year but they had won 13 in a row games in the regular season that's a very difficult place to go and win a game and we basically manhandled them literally threw them all over the place that's one of the top rushing offenses in the league and they did
03 Jake: absolutely nothing. I mean, not only did they do nothing because we jumped out such big lead, but they couldn't do anything. I mean, they, I saw some statistics about how they run the ball more on second and third down than any team in the league. Um... and they ran the ball twice on second or third down against us for one yard. That was it. Yeah. It was incredible. It was really nice about it was that it was like firing on all cylinders. I mean, only thing we were kind of waiting for was a Uh, we in Washington run back for touchdown, but other than that, Well, he did have like a 60 yard touchdown run. So that makes up for it. It's close. It's very close. I'd rather have that, to be honest. The biggest thing about this game, I think, if you look at the stats, I mean, OK, so we had 409 yards to tier 261. We, you know, penalties, not many. They got a lot. We actually caught them a couple times. But the biggest thing is that time of possession. Oh, yeah, we killed them. Any. Bye! Anytime you hold the ball for 40 minutes and 30 seconds out of a 60-minute game, you don't leave much time for them to do anything else. You don't leave any time for them to do anything else. You don't let them get established. They can't establish a run. They can't establish a rhythm. They just never were able to do it. It was a battle of the lines. We talked about this before. We had man gold against Haynesworth. and mangled uh... mangled it manhand them uh... it was used to dominate player uh... then you had uh... on our side following up at kevin why against big boy jenkins in the middle and jenkins is one play and i i wish i could find the clip of it because one play with literally jenkins is going in uh... can wise try to push up against him and then he also and you see jenkins just take him and throw this probably what 300 pound senator he's not that big but he's a big boy i remember being like 272 eighties big guy throw him like a rag doll yeah that's what he does he that's how good he is that's what he does but he has he has i mean talk about expectations Expectations were great. We got a big fat guy up the middle. There are many big fat guys in the league and you know There are some that we play against all the time like will fork and things like that But he's a dominator and he's not just a big fat guy. He just kind of sits there He is a we knew that when we were getting him. We he's a pro bowler We knew what we were getting he was just playing in the 4-3 So, you know, we were gonna shove him in the middle and have him just Huge experiment, unbelievable the way it's gone. And then we have the Brett. The Brett was as many times we've talked about in the past. It's kind of good Brett, bad Brett and he was the good Brett. Yes, he threw an interception.
01 Jake: He can't be perfect all the time. But his middle game, those kind of 8, 9 yard passes, 12 yard passes, even 6s that go for nines. I mean, we're just... Unbelievable unstoppable and and they didn't they had no choice. They had nothing they could do against it Yeah, it was really interesting for the first time since I've Since you know, I realized this was the Jets offense what we saw Against Tennessee. It's the same offense that we saw from the Jets in years prior except there's a big difference Brett throws the ball quick and hard and fast. So he gets rid of the ball quick. Whereas, you know, in the past you'd see Chad, he gets rid of the ball quick, but the ball doesn't get there quick. Now Breck hits the ball there quick. He hits you quick. And that's kind of the offense. It is the Jets offense. You didn't see Brett throwing the ball down the field yesterday. I mean, you saw a couple and people know that he can do that, so they lay off a little bit. and they earned some respect in that way but still uh... you know in and in years prior chad they didn't respect they would play way up on receivers so right now you know you you take what they're giving you if they're giving you space you do this use keller keller has stepped up over the last three four weeks he's just looking like a... Pro Bowl type tight end I mean the guys is a really nice receiver over the middle of the field a nice outlet for Brett to throw over the middle Six yards seven yards at a time, you know first and ten you drop back getting some pressure Oh dump it off to Keller. You got a second and four I mean, that's what you want and that's what they were getting the whole the whole game. It was it was astounding actually they just picked apart a really good team and i'm looking at uh at the nfl power poles that that came out today the jets are number two yeah and we are number two on the nfl power pole just behind the giants i will say though that uh power poles usually don't mean a dick but Whatever. I mean still I mean that's some respect. It is. It's nice. It's nice to get respect. I'd rather win games to get respect, but it's nice to get respect. Well, we win games and we're getting respect. We win games and get respect at the same time. That's a winning combination. So let's do our newest segment, which we started off last week. Let's do our play of the game. Jake and Justin play the game, I think this time just without letting you know about it at all. I'm gonna say that We're going to do it. One of us is going to do defense, and one is going to do offensive play. Since I'm springing upon you, I'll let you choose. Do you want to do it defensive or the offensive play-out game? Oh, I get to choose. In that case, I think I'll choose offense. All right, go for it. Tell me what your offensive play of the game was. I get to go right away. Alright, I'll go for the defensive play of the game since you're cruelly not ready. Cruelly not prepared. Yeah, I mean, it's nice to just pull things out of the ass while we're doing the show.
00 Jake: That's why it's such a great show. Some of us are good, some of us just cruelly can't hang. Also, the defensive play of the game was definitely the... Titans were driving, they were getting a little bit of action, and basically they did a little, I think it was a swing pass to Chris Johnson, and he started a run up, he made the first down and he was trying to get like an extra 3 or 4 yards on top of the first down. The Jets were up a bit, but there was still a chance for the Titans to come back, and and all of a sudden a gang of jets was around him and it looked like he went down but all of a sudden Out comes the ball like a little goose egg underneath his legs and they picked it up and it was a it was a strip And we had the ball back like on their 30 yard line or something You know if you had to look at the defensive backbreaker That was the defensive backbreaker the offensive backbreaker is probably what you're gonna pick as the play the game, which is Yeah, I'll pick the Leon Washington 60 yard touchdown run as the play of the game. I think it was indicative of what the Jets were able to do to the Titans. Running play, they were able to handle them up front, move them wherever they wanted to move them, and then Leon with the quick cut gaping hole. I don't think he was touched till way down the field. and he's pretty fast guy. So he outran the Titans pretty easily. So that was the offensive play of the game. Yeah, totally. I mean, that and it was a 61 yard run. It was about 11 minutes left to go in the fourth quarter. And it was it was a game breaker. I mean, that's the one that man, he just has that speed. You know, I think he's leading the NFL in all purpose yards at this point. Yeah, That wouldn't surprise me, actually. the guy is like he's he's just he's not unstoppable I won't say he's unstoppable but uh you know what he is he's he's what you know a scaled down Reggie Bush is right he can do all those things it's just he doesn't have to be Reggie Bush he can just beat Leon Washington and touch the ball you know seven to ten times a game and make a big play And, to even make it even, to even switch up things more, now let's go to our Knights and Fools section. And to switch it up even more, I've decided on the fly, like I always do, that for every winning game, we both give Knights, and for every losing game, we both give Fools. Folks! It's for them! Whatever. Always feels weird giving fools to a game that was won. Always feels weird giving knights to a game that was lost. So I say that shall never happen again. I decree it. So says I. Since this is not a democracy, this is a kingdom, that is the way it shall be. So we won the give two knights, and I will pick. second go ahead give me your night of the game already that I I I guess
01 Jake: I only pick a night not a fool do we now didn't we each we choose to get to pick stuff should we get two nights now no no no she pick an offensive night in a defensive night nope nope one player that's it wow so we used to get to now you have one you're taking something away it's a recession you got a cutback I see. Okay. I'm gonna pick somebody on the defensive side of the ball because I think the defensive side did a great job. And I'm gonna pick somebody who had a great game and always has a very good game this year and has stepped up really big recently. I'm gonna give it to the, you know... Not overly hyped Eric Barton. I think he deserves a shout out because he's been really solid in the middle Taking over for Harris since Harris has been out. He's wearing the you know the dotted Helmet he's the kind of the the middle linebacker the quarterback on the defense and he's leading the team in tackles and they're stopping the run and you know Jenkins is a big part of that up front but it takes guys behind Jenkins to fill the gaps and make tackles and Barton's doing that so uh... I'm gonna pick Eric Barton I think it's a good pick and he's sort of been quieter this year I mean in years before he's uh... stepped up earlier uh... he's certainly a guy I will stay with the not defense I'm gonna go with the offense And I'm going to go with the guy who... You know, this is, he's not the flashy guy. Clearly you could give, uh, Brett Favre, one of his best games, two touchdowns, a passer rating of over 100, uh, blah. Thomas Jones, he ran almost 96 yards on a team that, you know, barely lets anybody run. Lea in Washington with the one breakaway play! Um... So how many nights are you giving out? None of them are getting my freaking knights. None of them! Well, they got mansions. They got mansions. Honorary mansions. The night of this game goes to the player who had the most to lose. The player that was going against the biggest threat of the Tennessee Titans, and the player who performed extremely well. A guy who we've talked about before, a guy who I actually own the jersey of, and was preparing to wear all season long, except for the fact that... Brett the Jet came in and had to get his jersey too. Let's all give it up for Nickman Gold. Talk about someone who just stepped up against a monster, a guy who they're literally talking about at Haynesworth as the player, or maybe now Jenkins, but talking about as the NDP of the league. This guy is such a dominator. and Nick Mangold I mean, he was not a difference maker. The running game was able to go. He didn't, you know, pressure didn't get through to far. You know, that to me, that's huge. Huge, huge, huge. You know, not really recognized because he's not scoring points, but man, this guy, when that pick came out years ago, you're like, who's this Nick Mangold guy? And all of a sudden, he is like the core of this team.
02 Jake: And he represents everything you want. I mean just and every down player strong in the middle, you know, rookie who had to play for the entire rookie season played well and has just continued to play well. He and D-Brick have come up together and they've both developed into nice players this year. They are totally different players. D-Brick has had his huge ups and huge downs. Nick Mangold has played at a high level almost the entire time. I mean, in fact, you'd have a hard time looking to Nick Mangold's faults. He plays at that kind of level. D-Brick has played some games where you just think, what the F, and then some games where he's been really good. D-Brick has certainly helped out by Fanica. You can clearly see that that addition is what made or broke D-Brick. What they're saying, and what might be true, is that last year with someone who was some no name in the middle there, he had to then help out that guy. now he's got his clear assignment he knows that he lets finica handle his his job and all he has to do is handle his job and then that's all he needs to do uh... but nick mangled you get my night of the week unbelievable i mean i just i'm just i'm just happy to have you as as a player on the team and i love you baby sorry oh yeah must be the beer you know nick nick nick doesn't Listen. Um, actually Nick called in to the hotline and uh... No he didn't. And he left a message. No he didn't. When? Like three months ago? No. Um, I'm lying through my teeth. So that was the game. It was a beautiful game. We should all just take like a moment to rejoice because this is not a team. and not something that the Jets that we know or have known in the past would ever have done. Gone in, undefeated team, and not only just beat them maybe by the hair of our chinny chin chins, but beat them resoundingly, as we like to say. Take them out behind the castle and beat them to a pulp. 34-13 final. Great great game. Unbelievable wish I was there wasn't there but now we get to talk a little bit about other kingdoms Let's talk about some let's talk about what's going on through some other games. There's been some Or we should well, we should obviously start with the pats versus the fins That was That was probably one of the games of the weekend. For us, clearly, the Jack game was the game of the week. A lot of people thought it was a good game, but because it wasn't a really good close game, one of the better games was New England Miami. you know, with the final going to New England 48-28. So that means the Pats are the team that's one game behind us as opposed to Miami and the Bills, of course, that are two games behind us as we are in first place. Matt Castle had another hell of a game. 415 yards and three more touchdowns ran for another.
00 Jake: This guy had a phenomenal game, you know 30 of 43 for 415 that is phenomenal And of course Chad was no slouch in this game He threw for 341 in three touchdowns against the Pats which we all know he doesn't always perform that well against the Pats But but the difference here was was clearly just the Pats having just more fire power. They were able to go to Randy Moss who had three touchdowns. They were able to go to Walker at 120 yards. They were able to kind of do that thing that the Pats do, which is just, we saw it when they played us. We were the better team, but we had to go to overtime to beat them. They're just very difficult to defeat. And, you know, it's going to be tough, but we are ahead of them. It's nice. No, it's nice. I mean, I think we, with the Dolphins, I think we got away with one in the beginning of the season, meaning I think we beat them at a time that they probably, you know, if given a couple weeks, they might have been back. Well, yeah, they're a different team. They're definitely a different team. Patriots or away? I mean, Patriots, I think we got a little bit of plus and minus, right? We got Matt Castle when we didn't know who Matt Castle was. But then we went up there and beat them two weeks ago and that was good. I will say there's two controversies coming out of the Dolphins Patriots game. One is that there's a big fight, hair pulling, whatever fight. People were ejected from the game. That's a big deal. You don't see people actually getting ejected very often. The other one was the final couple minutes there. You know, Bill Belichick I think. I mean, the fact that they ran for a touchdown with 37 seconds left. already being up 41-28. Yeah, so basically he's a dick. I mean... Basically he knows he's a dick. He knows he's a dick. So he loves being a dick. I mean, is it payback for being spanked last time? Yeah. Maybe a little bit. You know, if it was your team, would you be sitting there going, yeah, you should just bring it to him. You know, we do say all the time, in fact, I think you were putting it up so eloquently last time that... uh... you know when you have a when you have a team down should put your but your hand your your foot on their neck and just snap it uh... just about them over and kick them in the nuts that's been issued to us better to kick them in the nuts uh... i think i think that was really bad and it had yet who's been pretty good on some weeks and pretty awful on this is an awful game he was dropping past left and right his punt returns are like went for negative yards i mean he just he's still a little lost out there but we look at the a c east crazy right that everybody's above five hundred and to tough division let me let me ask you a question yes ready for it so without disparaging how good Tom Brady is okay fuck a rat yeah enough of that we know he's a good football player we know he's a good quarterback I'm gonna pour my beer for this how much of that is being coached by this coaching staff because Matt Castle in his rookie season after not playing
04 Jake: Dick Squad and Brady the same being a backup at Michigan. He wasn't a starter there. They seem to do this. Like, how good is Castle? If he went to some other team, would he be any good? Could he throw for 415? I don't know. How does that post? Does that bring around questions of how good Brady really is? I don't know, I think it does. But I think this is the same question we've been asking for years. There's no different to this question this year than it was last year when we asked it Well it is, because you're seeing, well no, now there is a difference. Now you're seeing what not Brady could do. Well, what not Brady? The un-Brady? Well yeah, the un-Brady, basically yes. I mean, all you saw was Tom Brady playing on the Pats. You didn't see Tom Brady playing for another team or another guy playing for the Pats. Now you're seeing another guy playing for the Pats and you're seeing that... Maybe it's not Tom Brady. Maybe it's the Pats or the system I don't know it's interesting to see a guy like Matt Castle who hasn't started game since high school Throw for 415 throw for over 400 yards two straight weeks against decent defenses Yeah, no, I there's something to it. You know how much there is to it. I don't yeah, there's something there I don't know if you know Tom Brady's a very good football player. No doubt But is he as great as people think he is? I think that's an interesting question. I think we get that question a lot and we talk about it a lot. I think the more interesting question is, at the end of this year, let's say Matt Castle gets into the playoffs. You got the newest guy on the street. You got guy who's looking good. Then you got old quarterback, not old, but 31, but whatever, coming back from big injury, first injury of his career. here. You got some choices to make because Matt Castle's an under-baked creation. Really? Because you know, Belichick is all about the team. There's no choice in the matter. Well, that's what I mean. There's no choice. If you're the Pats, you try and sign Matt Castle to be the backup. Yeah, he'll never do that. And if he wants to go somewhere else and try and be a starter, then... Go on, buddy. See ya. Have a good time. Try and be a starter in this league somewhere else. I guarantee you, you will fail. And you play, oh, I, well, first of all, I'm guaranteeing it to you. Matt Castle. We'll tell you right now. Matt Castle, 2009, Jet quarterback. No, I don't even want that. And he would not be that. I'm telling you that if we have that, I will be upset. and I will you'll be upset and say to you it was your fault you wanted this now you're stuck with it write this down in the books as one of our I'm not writing anything down and I guess you have no matter read clearly know that I don't think that's up let's talk a little about the bills to game because shit game who cares they beat the fucking chiefs yadi down I mean really the chiefs are awful Yeah, I mean I would say they beat them in when we were making these picks and I think you even thought the Chiefs might win
00 Jake: this game So you're avoiding the fact that you made the wrong pick yeah, I mean to let Buffalo put up 54 against you that's That's true. That's despicable. I mean, really. I mean, it's a team that we barely beat. So I'm a little bit 54 at their home. Now, they're clearly a sucko team. Oh, they suck. Interesting that the Bills are 6 and 5. Again, 6 and 5 tied for what, the second last place? Last place. Yeah, I mean just crazy crazy crazy see they have they have a schedule of the bills that is you know somewhat favorable I mean they still have to play the division which is which is always tough But you know in some cases it depends you know they play two of the three of the division foes at home and Their other two games are at Denver which is later on in the season. And next week, they play San Francisco at home, which is not a very difficult game. So it's feasible that there'll be seven and five, which is not too terrible. Yeah, no, it's true. They could really get close. So let's talk about them. Let's go on to the next segment. And second to last segment, I guess, which is just talk about what's going to happen in week 13 here. We got. That's it. First of all, maybe the first of which all our happy happy listeners a a early Thanksgiving greeting for all you foreign people This is the time where we as Americans get together and we eat a lot and we watch football There are watching football. We are three games. We have three games now on on Thursday You know that that late game is really garbage to Arizona at fully Oh, who cares all games actually garbage you look at them that the win lost all the two games are always garbage You just hope that the that the I mean you can hope for the Dallas game, but the Detroit I mean really they get their ass kicked every year on Thanksgiving They just suck even worse this year their own. What are they own 10? They're so bad. So Ken the Detroit Lions, because basically now we would like some favors, right? We'd like to put out our little favorite pool and ask some teams to do us some favors. Oh, they're 0 and 11. I'm sorry. There's 11. We have a couple favors. If we want to win in the AFC, we need Tennessee to lose a couple games. This is one of the games not the one this is the game that I'm hoping for baby because we got to choice not it I'm sorry Thanksgiving. They had a short Detroit so bad. They've gotten their ass kicked every year. All right for the last bunch and You know how pissed off Tennessee's gonna be they're just gonna go in there and just run over Detroit Alright, let's talk, let's make some thrown picks here baby. Let's go to San Francisco at Buffalo.
00 Jake: Alright, so San Francisco at Buffalo, I think Buffalo takes this one. No really. San Francisco, yeah San Francisco's not a good team. They're gonna have to fly across the country. It's gonna be cold. Not a chance. Buffalo takes this one. 31. I don't wanna say they might score like 9 points. 9 points. Yeah, I mean it's hard to pick. It's hard to pick San Francisco coming all the way over here. You know, West Coast teams don't do well on the East Coast in the cold, the whole deal. I agree. Didn't I just say that? Yeah, I just said it. Echo me. Echo me. I'm gonna go butt. What? I'm going to say that I think San Francisco with their new head coach who's dropping his drawers to help the game out, I say that they keep it closer than you think. Bethel doesn't know how to put away a bad team. Even with the Kansas City Chiefs, they were losing to the Chiefs, remember, in the beginning of the game. So what are you going to pick? I'm saying 34-27. My pick. Yep, Miami, but Buffalo wins. 34, it's 27, Buffalo. Miami at St. Louis. Give me some numbers here, baby. St. Louis is another one of those really garbage teams in this league. We killed them. And didn't they just... Didn't they get crushed this past week as well? Yes. They're just an awful team. They lost 27-3 to Chicago. I think the score is going to be something similar, like we'll go 27-6. I mean, they're really bad. Yeah, 27-6. The only thing about that is that Miami is Miami good enough to go into the dome and put up. 27 on a team. I think Chad is Chad's a good dome player. He's good I mean in this situation against a shitty team. I don't think it home team's gonna score six points That's the only thing I don't think they're gonna do that. Well, why? Because home teams generally do better. They don't they don't get blown out like that. I mean, we're sure I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go there again. They're gonna get up there. They're gonna really I mean 17 And, Miami doesn't beat people by big points. They generally take it, you know, they win by a couple, even when they get— I gotta—I gotta tell you something. Yeah. This game that they lost against Chicago? Yeah. It was a home game in St. Louis. I'm just saying that's not pretty true. Anyway, it's 20-17 Miami Dolphins. Wow. Then let's talk about—now, here's another favorite we would like. Pittsburgh at New England What do we want in this game? We want Pittsburgh to win because basically you have to win the division first. Yeah, you're right So we want to spring even though Pittsburgh is in running with us as for an age and you're right though You win the division first. So let's go Pittsburgh, although Willie Parker is questionable for this game. Yeah, I think Pittsburgh has a good chance here in this game.
04 Jake: Where are they? Are they in New England? I don't even know if that even matters. Oh, it matters. Yeah, I mean, they're a pretty good team. Ralthusburger is a good quarterback experienced at this point. I think... the I'm gonna actually take Pittsburgh in this game I think is gonna be a real tough game though this will be really close 2017 2017, 2017, you know what, I think it is going to be close, I think it's going to be a tough game, I think it will be a one point game at the end. I'm going to pick a little bit with my heart and I'm going to say Pittsburgh 2120. And then the game of the week. The Broncos come into the Netherlands to take on the Aiden 3 New York Jets. A match up of two division rivals, two division leaders, the offensive powerhouse and his defensive wussies. Let me tell you something. The AFC West, as good as the AFC East is. AFC West is bad. Is that bad? Well, think about their teams, right? Denver's in first place at 6 and 5. What's that Ernie and the AFC East? Last place. 6 and 5, you there in first place. Then who's after them? The 4 and 7 San Diego Superchargers. And then who? The 3 and 8 Oakland Raiders, followed up by the 1. and 10 Kansas City Chiefs, right? Basically sounds like the AFC East last year. Basically, I mean, that's an awful division. I mean, awful. And the Denver is only six and five. There, I don't see the Jets losing this game. Coming off that Tennessee game, I do not see the Jets losing this game against Denver. ICS. they're not gonna be able to run on us at all so a lot of their play action their bootleg stuff that's not gonna work they have one receiver that we really have to worry about which I believe Reavis will shadow named Brandon Marshall I imagine Reavis will be shadowing him all day and they don't have a running back right now They're running back right now is a quarterback name like Peyton Hillis who is not Peyton Manning Not Not a chance the Jets win this game Uh The final score will be I think they're gonna put up some points again. Never not a good defensive team I think it's gonna be in the 30s 34 We talk a lot about the good-bad-bret. I think this is the good-bad-jet. In the past, the guy coming in first time, back up, full back, he would run for 130 yards on this. That would do it. Last year, he would have.
00 Jake: Yes, he would have literally set an all-time record He would have had the best game he ever had. This year, he ain't going to do that. All-time record for fullbacks. This time, he's going to learn what it is to be paying. No, I think this is going to be a game that I don't think we're going to blow them out. I just don't think we're going to blow them out. I think we're going to win. I think we're going to do a good old-fashioned win. But there is the chance that Cutler can throw the deep ball and score a couple touchdowns. So I don't think it's going to be like. I don't get to it. I agree with the 17. I'm gonna go a little bit down to the 27. So I think the jet to win this 2717 But give me your keys to the castles. This is our third new segment Every show there's a new segment. No, we made this up last time So clearly, clearly, the keys to the castle... The keys to the castle? I'll give you my keys to the castle. How many keys are there? There's only two. Two keys to the castle. Oh, a top lock and a bottom lock? You have to give me two. It's the bolt and the regular lock. So, I think the key to this one is really... It's not different than many other games. It's not- Oh, good segment. What? It's not- Good segment. The Key of the Castle. Justin: Not much different than last week's. Jake: It's ball control. No, not last week's. Ball control. This is about- not making mistakes that give them a chance to get in this game. I don't think they're going to be able to get in this game. I think we're going to be able to go down there, score almost every time we get the ball. But it's just that one or two times against the Chiefs that we threw the pick, they ran over for touchdowns. Those things get a team really fired up. The key to the castle is Brett Favre playing it a little bit safer not throwing away multiple interceptions. You can take your one, take your one interception. In fact, just come out in the field, the first thing, and just whip the ball right to the first defender you see. Let him catch the ball, let's tackle him, and then let's get that out of your system. You would not be happy with that. I would, I would totally, because if we have 59 minutes to win the game, I'm okay. Just don't do that with two seconds left to game. What's your key to the castle? Thought I get two. Mm-hmm two total one for me one for you. Oh my god. You so just changed the rules I had two and now I have to choose one choose the best one I Think I think the key will be stopping Brandon Marshall. I think That seems to me cutler's favorite target. They throw the ball a hell of a lot. So You know, I think stopping their main threat, Brandon Marshall, will be a key to this game. Yeah, they probably will. I mean, stopping their biggest threat, obviously we don't have to really stop their running backs. That's not going to be a big issue. Well, they still can run the ball. I mean, they are Denver. They always can run the ball. Yeah, they always have a good offensive line. I don't know how their offensive line is this here compared to other years. Well, they, you know, they don't have a consistent running back.
02 Jake: Thank you so much for watching! but they're still able to run the ball. It's not like they haven't run for touchdowns or been able to, last week was not a really good example. They got their butts kicked by... Raiders. By the Raiders, which is really pathetic. But they always have been able to move the ball. Yeah, that's why I think they'll be able to get some points. So, this is the castle, some good thrown picks. I enjoyed it. And because you always keep me in the end of the game to think about or to leave this the last moment, I'm going to skip right over to you and say, stay on the website with jovidwjettkingdom.com post in the new poll this week, which will go up on Thursday. More thrown picks as well on Thursday. for you guys to take a look at. Have a great Thanksgiving and as always, as always, go Jets!
