11 Justin: are high. Get used to it. It's always gonna be that way. Welcome to the Jack Keene podcast. As long as we're on a near-just podcast. Period. Jake: My name is Jake, and joining me for the 160th time, good buddy Justin. Justin, how are you doing? Awesome. Oh, wow, you're awesome. Awesome. Why? Because football starts. Oh, I thought you were awesome. Real football. I thought you were excited because McElroy scored a touchdown. Nah, fuck him. I don't care about him. Ha ha. All right, so this is a mega podcast. There has been news. We are ignoring it all. Sanchez could have thrown 20 touchdowns, could have been traded at this point. We wouldn't be talking about that. Justin: Our roster set. Jake: We're not talking about any of the guys that got cut. Yes, I did. I read them all. Not going to talk about them. You didn't care about them? Any of them? A couple of them were surprised. Everybody was surprised by Antonio Davis. No. That was one of the... Dixon? Dixon, sorry. Dixon was a surprise. That was a bit of a surprise. Terence, get away. Get away. Oh well. Yeah. Didn't work out. Anyway, we're not talking about that. Because we have The Pick Show. We have this big podcast where every year here's what we're gonna do. And because we actually have picks that we do every week, this is like a double podcast. So let's get into it. Basically, here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna do game by game. We're gonna go every game. pick a win and loss for the Jets. So game by game, I will try to get to that pretty quickly. Then we're going to say, here's what we think the AFC East is going to do. We're going to talk about who goes in the playoffs, and we're going to talk about who wins a Super Bowl with a score and an MVP. Then! Then! And only then! Then and only then, we're going to do our Jet Kingdom pick-up for week one. Then we're going to do our, which is where we pick every game but the AFC East. Then we do our throne picks, which is when we pick the AFC East, right? AFC East Games with scores, then, then, and then, and then we do just versus bells. We'll talk about that. And we'll give our keys to the castle. Go Jets! Go Jets! Sorry. Alright, so let's get into it. Let's start the podcast by saying, hello Minneapolis. No, that means nothing. That means nothing. Let's do it. Full schedule. Full sketch. Full sketch. Are you going to surprise me? So we have not talked about this in advance. I might have a surprise here. You've already given me one hint to one of your things. So, whatever. But... Let's go, let's talk about full schedule. Again, week one, we're gonna talk a little bit about since whatever, but week one, go through it. Why don't you lead me the schedule and tell me what you think's gonna happen and I will agree or disagree. Justin: And then we're gonna talk about this one in more depth later. Yeah, sure. So week one, home, buffalo, victory.
03 Jake: victory I have yes I have us winning I said they're D the Buffalo D is not ready for prime time yet no I'm but our D our D is our D is I think their D could be very good like week eight I don't think they'll be ready week one and if I Justin: don't think they're gonna stay we'll talk about this morning I see going so next up at Pittsburgh 425 you notice the new start times 425 this year I notice although in the one that I grabbed from somewhere it said 415. No they're all 425s. That's great. It is. It gives Jake: a chance for the first game to actually end. Yes. There's a lot of time. I wonder what would happen if a lot, I guess it would just be three game shows. Whatever yeah. I'll show you the highlights. Uh this is a loss. Yeah Pittsburgh uh as much as I'm not sure I totally believe in the stewards this year. I still think they're... better than us at home. At home. And this is yeah, this is gonna be a hard place to win. Hard place to win is what I wrote. That was my like, that's mine too. Yes, hard place to win. I've been there done that lost. Justin: Moving on. Sunday at one at Miami. I got this as a win. I'm gonna be there. I got this as a win. I've been watching hard knocks. Miami's no good. This is a victory. Yes, so rookie quarterback not gonna do anything. I haven't seen the last two hard knocks can't wait Jake: I can't wait. I'm gonna watch them. I guess well, there's one tonight, too Alright, so no so that last one is the last one. Yeah, so then we'll watch them whatever Tomah next week or maybe not who cares Yeah, this is a win Justin: I can't see both have us at two and one so far two and one we're at two and one All right next San Francisco is coming all the way across the country to place at one o'clock on a Sunday and they beat us two and two Yeah, I have this as a loss to same Francisco's a good team slugfest now. It's gonna be rough and tumble Jake: This might be 9-6. This is not your fantasy football Fantasy football game to watch not at all. That's your D because you got a defense Justin: Yeah, unless you pick the Jets defense in the first round like some asshole in our league Jake: Yeah, this is a slugfest. I do think, I mean, I know when we get to actually talk about it in week four, I will predict the Jets to win and I know... Justin: Well, I predict the Jets to win every week. Jake: Yeah, of course. But what I will say at that point, what I don't believe now, but what I will believe then, is that this can come down to a kick, right? And that game could go either way, but this way, looking at it from this far, I think... Justin: It's a loss. So we both are at two and two. Yeah. All right moving into a Monday Nighter home Houston on Monday night Monday night football at home That's a second consecutive loss. No, we're two and three. Yeah. No, I think we I think this is a win Jake: I think this is a win I think the this is a turnaround from that game And we pull win on big night. I say big game prime time big win. So I want to stop us here Justin: Okay, after five games. Jake: I thought we were doing quarters though. Justin: Yeah, but I want to stop us because I think this five is actually really important. Is this your T-bow five? This is the T-bow five. We got to be at least two and three, otherwise we're seeing T-bow on the field. For the rest of the game. Because the next game is indie at home and that's cupcakes.
01 Justin: So that's a win. Whether you look at it, I could start. We're winning that game. Yeah. Again, we get to play two rookie quarterbacks in their first six games. I think that's a win regardless, so we got to be two and three, otherwise the world's flipping upside down and Tim Tebow, that's the game. Jake: Yeah, I agree. One in four. Justin: I see us at two and three, you see us at three and two. I think one in four. You get a T-bow. You get a T-bow start. You get a T-bow start against the team we're going to beat regardless of who starts. Right. That's the point. Then he wins that one. That's the purpose. Right. Jake: So like if you're gonna put on your well first of all are you predicting a t-bow start? Are you predicting t-bow starts for any time during the season fully? Justin: I've already said i've gone on record that t-bow will start a game But you're saying it's a it's funny. They're gonna do it as a joke. It's not a joke. It's not funny It's the first play of the game will be a t-bow play. That's a joke Jake: But that's not a joke. That's not him starting the that's not him starting. It's him starting the game Okay, first snap of the game starting, but there's a lot of people including Broadcasters alike not podcasters, but well here's the thing I think that that's going to happen that they are going to sit I know you're I know what you're saying. I'm gonna say it. I'm gonna say it. Do you think it's gonna happen? I must let me say what I'm gonna say say they're gonna sit Mark Sanchez not because of injury but because of performance, right? And because of the willingness, the inability to win and our offense, whatever, they're going to sit him and they're going to put in Tim Tebow as the number one starting. Full time number one. Yes. You are going to... Justin: No Sanchez package. It's the Tebow time. Jake: They're going to flip it and I got to put in Sanchez package. Which is throws three balls. Do you think that's going to happen? I honestly, the only way I could see that happening is through... These first five games being one of four. I think it's the four. Well, no, it's not the five. Well, I predict the four. I think it's the one in- They wouldn't throw him in there for his first- Justin: They want- If they're gonna do that, they're gonna want him to win. They're not gonna throw him against Houston, who was the number one defense in the league last year. After a game against San Francisco who might have been the number- like those are like the top two defenses in the league last year. Jake: Here's the thing. If I'm gonna do this the opposite way, I'm gonna put on my bizarro hat. You do loss, loss. I could see them happening. Well actually after dolphins. If you go 0-0, loss, loss, loss, Tebow time. Right? Week three. If you lose Bills, Pittsburgh, Dolphins, they're putting in Tebow. Justin: That's it. All right. So let's keep going. You got them at three and two. I got them at two and three. So so far, no Tebow. Basically, it's cold first. I think we both have them beating Indy. Yes. So you're at four and two, I'm at three and three. Now you get your annual... Jake: At New England? What are you doing with your... I got a loss. Justin: So I'm at three and four. Three and four, the thrown in team? No, you're not three and four. I'm at three and four. Okay. And you're at four and prospective. Four and three, yeah. So I'm at three and four, you're at four and three. Yes. I think it was... And then we got Miami at home and I've got sweeping Miami this year. Miami's got nothing. So again, I'm at four and four going into the bye. I would be at this point. I'd be happy with four four going by I have them at five and three. I have five three
03 Justin: Alright, I got him in four four you got him at five and three at Seattle nine We kill coming out of the by at Seattle. I have that as a loss Jake: Whoo really yeah, so I have us at four and five I have is winning at Seattle tons of time to get there. We'll be prepared for that game I'm not that is there's these two that are sort of trap games I think so I think we win against Seattle. I think we I think we go against Rams only lose Justin: I think that's the trap game. I got us at four and five and you have us at six and three Yeah, but then I was losing. Here's the fun part though. I don't have us losing the rest of the way. Oh You're gonna you you you think we're gonna pull the miracle We're gonna have us at four and five and then have us at eleven and five Jake: Oh, this is totally doable. Let's go through the schedule. We just came off a bad loss at Seattle. And people's not playing. Justin: We're going to St. Louis where we know that offense in and out. It's a shoddy offense. We're going to crush them. They have nothing. So that's a win. So now I've got to sit 5-5. Patriots at home. Pats at home on Thanksgiving night, short week. Short week. Thursday night. I've got us winning that one. Jake: Don't you have the don't you doesn't your sphincter just start to twitch at the short week Thanksgiving night? Justin: Well, the fact that we're home is is is better than going away last year the Thursday night in Denver after a Sunday night Right was brutal right that was unfair. So this one's more fair for us. I have us winning this one Jake: So I'm at six and five I was winning that as well. So where are you? I don't know I had us losing st. Louis. I mean we'll get to the end because I got us beating Arizona at home. Yep I say Fitz is covered Yeah, I mean that's it. We're going we're going to Jackson. I wrote these really cool things for each week Well, then what do you have for Arizona week 12? I have for against Patriots the power of Turkey Okay, fine, Arizona Fitz is covered. Okay at Jacksonville Justin: They got nothing. We're gonna crush them just like we did last year. Yeah, I have us winning against Jacksonville. At Tennessee, we'll be there. So we're gonna win that one. That's a Monday night game. Nope. I think we lose that one. We're gonna win that one. Okay. Then we have a Sunday night game. San Diego at home on Sunday night. We always beat San Diego. That's a win. Yeah, I have us winning that one. And then? And then we have Buffalo in Buffalo at one o'clock. I've got us at ten and five. I'm not even sure we need it, but we're gonna get it. We're gonna go to 11 and 5. We're gonna beat Buffalo Buffalo is gonna be done by then Yeah, I think people think Buffalo is that team? Yeah, and everyone's sleeping on the Jets which I love Yeah, I don't like the Jets this year people think Buffalo is that team that's gonna be like Cincinnati from last year It's not. They're buffalo. They're still buffalo. They're eight and eight at best. I think we're nine and seven. We lose at last game. I haven't said eleven and five and you haven't said nine and seven. But I had us at four and five. Yeah. And you had us at like six and three. I was losing a lot.
00 Jake: Your way's fucked up. Yeah, well my way's not the Super Bowl way. You think yours is the Super Bowl way. My way is the Super Bowl way. Alright, so give me the... So I have the Jets at nine and seven. I've just said eleven and five. Wild card, birth, last card. You have in five you're not wild card you could be hard. Well, okay, you have to be but you need a fair win like 13 Okay, is that so what's your prediction for the pads 13 13 3? Let me put it this way Justin: The AFC East is not great like our division is not great Yeah, and are out of division games that though the two conferences that we're playing Yeah NFC West worst division in the NFC. Yep and we're playing the AFC South, worst division in the AFC. So the Pats basically have the easiest schedule in the league and they had the best fucking record last year. Such bullshit. Because if you think about it, so they play Baltimore, but they get them at home and we play Pittsburgh and we get them on the road. Sure, then we're telling everyone has this easy schedule and they have the first place schedule and we have the second place schedule in their schedules See you at 13 3 I have a 12 at 4 Okay, let's still yeah, I mean winning this vision pissing pissing match Miami. What do you have Miami and Buffalo? I'm Miami with three wins the rewinds even with all I said about the AFC East having an easy schedule, Miami's You're not gonna win like some of these games against three. Alright. They're awful. I actually have an- Wait, Ryan Tannehill is their starting quarterback. Yeah. He's no good. Well, I don't know. Jake: He's not good. I don't think they're a winning team but they're not. I don't think they're a three-win team. I think they're between three and six. I haven't been six. I'm giving the upside to six. That's a lot. Yeah, and then I have Buffalo at eight and eight. Me too. All right, so I probably Mathematically, I bet my Miami cannot be at six and ten if it's nine seven twelve four eight and eight Justin: Oh, they could be wherever they wanted. Yeah, they could there's some sort of mathematical on it Jake: You can't you can't all be you can't all be twelve because you can't all be twelves in the same division I'm bet mathematically Miami has to be five, but what I'm gonna say six. Well, whatever. So I'm at three So wildcard goes and happens. What are you happening? So I have so what do you have the jets for the rest so you haven't getting the playoffs? Yeah Justin: So let me never see my name again. No, let me give you my division winners I have the Pats winning the AFC East. Yep. I have the Texans winning the AFC South Okay, and in a surprise I have the Bengals winning the AFC North really really Jake: Okay, so I have Pat's I don't think the other ones by Baltimore winning their division I have us going to New England So I have us last and then first and I think it's last to first
02 Jake: So I remember correctly from my playoffs remember seems like it's 15 years ago I think we go knowing that and we win against them if the biggest moment ever it's the wild card again Justin: He did that I know But we wouldn't do that in the first round why not well the Pats are going as you say 12 and 4 Then you're gonna get a buy they're gonna well no not 12 for that wouldn't get it Jake: I think it might not get a buy I think they will anyway. I'm saying they don't we go play the wait so Justin: We've only picked we haven't picked who's gonna win the West and pick all the same I only went for where the Jets were involved. So the Jets are gonna be a wildcard. Yep. Who's your other wildcard team? Don't know don't care. Is it coming probably from the north you have you have the Ravens winning Is it gonna be the Bengals or the Steelers? Or do you like any of those West teams? I Can see the Steelers maybe so your your playoffs are the Pats the Ravens the Pats the Jets the Ravens the Steelers the Texans the Texans and someone out west I don't know Chargers Broncos Broncos Give me Chargers Chargers? Okay sure Alright how about in the NFC? Jake: I know it Oh well I'm only because I have my Yeah you're Super Bowl I have my Super Bowl I didn't do the whole I might just did my who I'm getting I'm ahead of you Yeah go for it I don't need to do if you're not going to do it I only went as far as the Jets went and then I went to Super Bowl As soon as the Jets were out Which I'm gonna explain why. That's why we have different picks. All right, so I basically have us what's your deal? I have is losing to Baltimore in Baltimore in the AFC Championship game I has losing the second round What okay is it fizz is it fizz is it sure yeah Baltimore wins their division, right? Then we end up playing them, right? Justin: We were there, that's not an easy place to win. Jake: That's where I have us losing. Anyway, I have us losing there. You don't want to have to go there, it's tough. But I have, going all the way. What do you have? I have Baltimore going to the Super Bowl and playing Green Bay. Playing Green Bay. And I have Green Bay winning. Green Bay winning. Green Bay wins 2017, Ann Rogers, MVP. Justin: Okay, not so not a super hard pick. No not you didn't go for the Baltimore's interesting one though This is a team that was I don't even think they're gonna be very good Jake: I don't think people think of them as good But this is a team that was a kick and a catch away from making suitable last year Yeah, but I don't feel they lost a lot. Well, they did Justin: So it is well Terrell sugs is huge Defensive player of the year Terrell sugs is huge right take Reavis off the Jets Yeah, but I feel like they're gonna hold on. Yeah, Ray Lewis You're older. Yeah, I see. Ed Reed, you're older. Yeah, I see that. You're older. Great. Their offense didn't really change a whole lot. They got Ray Rice. He's good. Joe Flacco's fine. Goodness. Goodness. Receiving, we have Tor Smith. They've seen two guys last year. They got into that, you know, game. Yes, I feel like they're just they got old they lost their two outside linebackers Jared Johnson's gone. Suggs is out. Where are they gonna get a pass rush from? They lost their defensive coordinators
01 Justin: They have to have a you know, new coordinator, which I guess is just Ray Lewis, but whatever I don't feel like they're gonna be as good this year I have them in the Super Bowl, losing to Green Bay. Go ahead, tell me. I don't even know if I'm in the playoffs. Jake: Give me your playoff run. Well, the Jets are winning the playoffs. They're winning the Super Bowl. Justin: They're winning the playoffs? They're winning the Super Bowl. Jake: Yeah, but see, that's the thing. I would pick them every year to win the Super Bowl. But so you're actually doing this again. You've done this once before. And I was damn close. And you had them losing to Green Bay. That's right. Alright, just to put it down, you actually picked the Jets to lose to Green Bay. In the Super Bowl. Right. And who won the Super Bowl that year? Justin: I don't know. Jake: Green Bay. Yeah, that was a great pick. Yeah, but the Jets weren't in the Super Bowl. They were in the AFC Championship game. Yes, they were. I was pretty goddamn close. Justin: Ah, tomato-tomato. All right. Jets are winning the Super Bowl. Jets are against you. I'm not even kidding. I've seen it happen. I've seen it happen. I've seen it happen. You've seen it happen. Envisionment? I've had the Envisionment. How nice. It has happened. I've seen it happening. I'm crying. time. I've I've already it's the moment. I'm already experienced. No, we're hugging you and I are there. Oh, we're there Jake: Okay, I was about to say cuz and we're hugging. Oh, we're hugging and we're crying. Yeah Justin: I've seen it happen. You're gonna laugh when this actually happens, but it's happy. I'll take a picture Jake: We're both crying. All right, we're jumping up and down in Nola, which would be your new island place in the planet It's a little bit. It's a little bit like It's my favorite place on the planet, it's my favorite team, he wins the Super Bowl, it's like, and then, you know... It's the greatest day in the history of the world. I gotta what to space, to Bourbon Street for the next 10 days. Guess who we beat. Justin: It's not Green Bay. I don't know. I don't know. The Chicago Bears. Jake: The Bears? You have the Bears? I like the Bears this year. You like the Bears getting all the way through? I really like the Bears this year. Justin: I thought they were really, really the team last year. They were like, they were the team that was going to beat Green Bay last year. Right. And then Cutler got hurt and they didn't have a backup. Right. And I feel like they were like... They're virtually the same team. They're better on offense this year. They brought in a receiver. I mean, Erlacher slowed down a little bit by his knee, but I feel like, okay, they've dealt with that before. They're still, they're a good team. I like the Bears. Don't you think Denver's better this year? Jake: Well Denver's in the AFC, so I don't see how that makes any difference. No, I mean, sorry. Sorry, I'm at Green Bay. Don't you think Green Bay is better this year? Glass injuries? Better than 15-1, I'm not sure. I feel like there are going to be a team that doesn't win as many games like that. They're good. They're winning. They're good. I don't think... Justin: Lions? I don't know how... I'm not sold on the Lions. Really? Really. Megatron? I feel like they were really good. like passing offense and a really good defensive line. But other than that, other than those two aspects of the game, they're very undisciplined. They get a lot of stupid penalties. They can't run the ball. So they just chuck the ball around a lot. And that's that. And they're one, Matt Stafford.
06 Justin: Well that is dumb shoulder injury away from winning four games. So that is true All right. So you have the Jets win the Super Bowl. I really do Jake: I see the MVP. We seriously do. Please don't say Mark Sanchez because now I know your envision is total full of shit. Don't say Mark Sanchez Really? Does he guarantee the win before he goes in? Justin: Jean-Claude relax. Relax. Doral Rivas. Everyone take a step back. Yeah Jake: I don't know. I don't really have one. All right, so you haven't thought this I haven't thought through that who the MVP is gonna be Justin: I'm gonna be Stephen Hill. Well, it's a patent Holmes the second MVP Make some crazy catch or you know, I mean it's hard to win the MVP by what's the score if you're not a score Let's go for it Jake: You ready? Yeah 12 to 10 Justin: 23 yeah 17 Alright, that's a very typical football score. Alright, well, I hope to hell your thing happens Alright, I'm gonna be jumping around in each other's arms crying like little babies. We sweet. I can't wait. Alright, let's just me Jake: It's happening. Let's get to our where are we now? We're at a playoff Super Bowl. Let's do Jack. Let's do it Let's get back to reality. Let's pick some picks this week. Let's do the Peckham All right. So remember this is the Jackie and pick of you guys can join if you want to go to Yahoo Go to Pick'em. It's football.fantasysports.yahoo.com and there's the Pick'em section and then you just need group 32516, 32516 and then the 32516 and the the password is podcast and you can join. There's 16 people or 15 or 16 people. There'll be more about time this starts. What we do is we pick every week. We go through our picks and we do them pretty quickly. We avoid the AFC East and it's always fun to listen to whether Justin actually remembers to avoid the AFC East. And this being week one, I'm gonna be rusty. Right. And then we pick the AFC East in a more straight, you know, we talk about the games a little bit more. Then we pick the Jets game and then we move on. So let's get to it. Let's do it. Alright, here we go. Justin: We are recording this on a Tuesday. And this is with the spread. With the spread. Okay. Okay. Recording this on a Tuesday season starts Wednesday tomorrow night Jake: 830 at MetLife Stadium guess where I will be tomorrow at 443 met life Sadie I will be my life's a Justin: With the Super Bowl champion, New York football Giants yeah Hosting their arch rival the Dallas Cowboys and the Giants are given four. Alright, if you go this slow, we'll be here till next Tuesday. Well, the Giants are given four. I think that's fair. That's Super Bowl champion, home opener, season opener, against rival who they beat twice last year, Dallas injured, four is a solid number, and give me the Giants. Jake: Yeah, I'll take the Giants in this. I think they're gonna...
00 Jake: I think history almost always has the Super Bowl champions coming out and doing really well in that home opener. Thank you, Senator. then they usually flub after that. So like, if I want a game, this is the game I think they're going to come out firing. Justin: I see the Giants like starting the season like a bear. Oh my, just bowling everybody over. Jake: Reverse the season. They were, they started up. Justin: Yeah, they're going to go crazy in the beginning. They're going to come out with all this confidence. No one's talking about us. The Jets are on the back page where people like Philly and our division, people like Dallas. Hey guys, we won the division last year, we won the goddamn Super Bowl. Tough division. Deep Brady and Belichick. Tough division I think this year. Totally, totally tough division. Jake: I mean you throw in probably the worst, if the worst team is the Redskins who had a pretty good D last year and basically lacked a quarterback who now they have a dynamic quarterback. Maybe. the end. Maybe we'll see I think that's a tough and Billy's tough Justin: They beat us not out of us last year because they got healthy for our game. Yep, and Dallas is always tough So that's a good division, but I'll take I'll I'll I'll lay those four pints do these lines are as of Tuesday And I don't they might change tomorrow, but we're picking them as they are Alright, so next game Chicago hosts Indianapolis in Andrew Luck's first career start as a pro football player. Chicago is giving nine and a half. You know I like Chicago this year and I like him at home versus the rookie quarterback. Nine and a half doesn't scare me, so give me Chicago. Jake: Yeah, don't like nine and a half. I think the Colts are going to be that team that when you look back at the season, you're going to say... While they didn't win a lot of games, they were competitive. I think they're going to be competitive. I don't think they're going to win a lot of games, but I think they're going to be competitive. So I don't think they're going to be cake walks. So nine and a half, I feel like is this whole rookie thing. I think they're going to surprise some people. Andrew Luck in the preseason has been pretty good. I don't think he's the problem. Well, no, their defense is probably the problem. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Justin: I think Chicago is just going to be able to light it up on them. Jake: But I think they'll be able to keep up with them. I don't think I just don't feel like Chicago is going to light it up team, but okay, maybe. Justin: Next up. Next up, Philly is going to Cleveland and Philly's given eight on the road. And you know what? That doesn't scare me either because Cleveland's got another... There's five, I think five rookie starting quarterbacks this year. This year? Yeah. Six maybe? Five or six? Cleveland's got one of them and I think they have the worst one probably. I think he's like 28 in a rookie. Yeah. How could you be good? If you were good you'd be 22 in a rookie. Right. Not 28 in a rookie. So like you've kind of reminds me like Chris Wanky. You remember him for Carolina? Like all right whatever. I think Jake: we need to stop a second and just remember everybody. Just remind everybody that I won this last year. I just want to remember that I won this. I'm picking Philly because their defensive line is going to crush this rookie and Mike Vicks is going to go fucking ape shit. I'll pick Philly.
00 Jake: Eight points is a lot but again I think Cleveland is probably the worst team. You could put them up number one draft pick next year. Justin: I think you're right. They're going to get the number one draft pick. They have a couple good players on their team but nothing that scares you on. from like you don't have to cover anybody right it's like oh okay they have a good left tackle yay they've got a rookie running back who's supposed to be really good so we'll shut him down but he's double hurt and that's what I mean we'll just shut him down and then we'll let this rookie quarterback beat us with no receiving right with no receivers sounds kind of sounds almost like the Dolphins doesn't it no receivers great left tackle yeah Running game, yeah, maybe whatever All right next game Detroit is hosting st. Louis At 1 o'clock Detroit is giving eight and a half. I think that's a lot For Detroit because again, I don't really believe in Detroit that much this year And I think st. Louis that first game under Jeff Fisher is gonna come out with a little something something So I feel like they're gonna play this Jeff Fisher grind it out run the ball They got Stephen Jackson and run the ball They surprised a few people with that first game I don't think st. Louis is gonna win, but I don't think they're gonna lose by eight and a half Jake: So give me st. Louis. Yeah, no, I'll take I'll take Detroit I think again Corky is one hit away away from the ball. If you were gonna just whip the ball around I feel like this is the ball. I'll take Detroit. I think again Corky is one hit away from the ball It's just gonna be a Megatron party and they're just gonna whip it to him. I hope it is. And you can't, and here's to Hanoi. I just don't... I don't know, I mean they signed Courtland Finnegan. Yeah, but I don't think he's that good though. He's not Courtland Finnegan four years ago. He's Courtland Finnegan. Justin: Anyway, I feel like... I I I I I I Jake: I I I I Justin: We had the Rex Ryan bump. Move on. Moving on. First test. I pass. Atlanta heads to Kansas City. and plays in that big sea red atlanta coming out throwing this year i believe in kansas city with romeo cornell they have uh suspended i think their best defender or their best like pass rusher tom bahali's suspended for the first game not really sure where they're going to get a pass rush on atlanta atlanta can do whatever they want on on offense is another team I really really like if the Bears aren't in the Super Bowl I might have picked Atlanta Atlanta only given three on the road in Kansas City give me Atlanta. Yeah I think Jake: Kansas City's gonna I think Kansas City's a team that I would say could surprise this year against all about injuries last year they were just decimated with them um to have some dynamic players They have the guy who was like Mr. Running Back and got hurt week two so we don't know where he's gonna be I think they'll keep it in with them. You know who would win this game?
02 Jake: I would say Atlanta, but I think they'll stick I think it'll be close enough and right now it's three points So I'll stick to Atlanta. I'll give him the home Justin: this is the worst game of the week i think minnesota is hosting jacksonville this would be like if you want to see if ap is going to play Jake: yeah which is not but this is like one of those kind of games and this is the two running backs are these two running backs actually going to hit the field this week? Justin: i think marie jones jr is supposed to play Bye! Third down back in certain situations. He's gonna wish I don't think Adrian Pearson's gonna be one hit and done But here's I'm gonna pick well Minnesota's home and they're giving four I'm gonna pick Jacksonville just cuz I feel like I'm getting a free point like I feel like the line should just be three For this crappy game and I'm not sure Adrian Peterson's gonna play so I'm not really sure why Minnesota's favored by four So just give me points. Yep. Give me Jacksonville Next game, New Orleans is their home opener with their interim coach for the interim coach and their suspended defensive players. They're giving nine to Washington and I feel like that's a lot for a team that too much. It's just a team I'm not really sure what to expect out of New Orleans. So nine points is just a lot. Too much. Too much. I'm with you. So I'll take Washington. Jake: Yeah, I think this is this is going to be one of those. Just nine points. Too much. You also see just a back door. Justin: Just a back to cover there like New Orleans might be up by ten or fourteen or something. And then the last two minutes, RG3 does some crazy run thing. Yeah, just do something. All right. I think this might be the game of the week. The Sunday 425 game I think is probably the best one. Green Bay hosting San Francisco. Boy is this a good week one matchup. Oh I can't wait to get back for this game. Yeah this is a good one. Jake: By the way the extra 425 also helps us. Get back. People who at the game. You know for 15 now we get back with my move might just miss the first quarter. Maybe maybe even less Justin: All right, so green Bay's hosting San Francisco dynamic offense versus great defense I I'd line should be three the line is five. It's inching down. It started five and a half For that reason I'm just gonna pick San Francisco. I feel like it should just be I feel like I'm getting two points So I'll take the two points extra and just take San Francisco with their great defense. Jake: Yeah, I'm gonna take San Francisco. I think again, I think they're gonna be a good team again. I don't think they're gonna rock as much. I feel like they'll do, I mean, they really, they won a lot of games last year. They really did. They won 13 games last year. They're not gonna be able to do that again this year. They're more in the 11 category, I think. But I think they're more in the 10. I think they might do better in the playoffs. Justin: I think they'll be in the 10 11. Yeah, I don't think they're Their defense is really good. They're a lot like the Jets like their defense is really really good But are you scared of anybody on that offense at all? Jake: I think I said it about 50 times last year Sam's this goal looks a lot like the Jets from three years two years ago
03 Jake: Whatever it was I was like They got this quarterback that no one really believes in, so they're running the ball a lot and they got a great defense who keeps them in games who are very- Does anyone really scare you on their offense? Justin: Like, does Frank or at this point scare you? Does Randy Moss at this point scare you? Randy Moss does not scare you. Does Mario Manningham scare you? Jake: Eh, he's a good player. He's alright! He's a Super Bowl winning player. It's okay! The catch. The catch too. I watched that Super Bowl last night, it was on the NFL Network, I just watched the whole thing. Was it good? It was good. It's always good watching the Patriots get beat. Oh, so freaking awesome. You can say fucking in this podcast. Justin: Oh, so fucking awesome. Alright, moving right along, we have an NFC West matchup. We have Seattle going to Arizona. Yays. Seattle's favored by 2.5 on the road in Arizona. I don't know why. I'm the name of a rookie quarterback starting. I know John Skelton's no great shakes. But like I don't know about that by the way making that whole big deal signing on Matt Flynn. Jake: Matt Flynn sweepstakes. As soon as Seattle drafted Russell Wilson, Justin: I looked at whoever it was that was around me and I said that kid is their starter because it's not like Matt Flynn's anything special. He's not why they paying like 25 million dollars. I have no idea. I really don't but Russell Wilson if you watch Try and find those Gruden Yeah, the quarterback that they do the quarterback you or whatever it is the most impressive quarterback of any of Any of them? Yeah was Russell Wilson by far you watch that one. You're like, oh shit. He knows that kids good Like I want him on my team. Yeah He's a leader. Yeah, he knows offense like like he was in he was at two different colleges and Had to pick up both of their offenses like he was really here's my problem. I think Seattle They had coach don't believe in them. Don't believe in them. Don't believe the hype Pete Carroll no good. Yeah. Well, I'm gonna pick Arizona after my little diatribe about how I thought Russell Wilson, it's good first starts are rough and Arizona. What's there? What well they fit They didn't have a bad year last year. I think they finished ahead of Seattle last year Skeleton, they won games and down the stretch they were winning a lot. Jake: Who is your starting quarterback as of now? Do you even know? Skeleton. Is it? They announced it? They announced it last week. Justin: No, they had it. It was a secret up until like... No, they announced it last week. I think John Skeleton. I'm gonna open up their little Arizona here. Alright. Skeletons... Yeah, skeletons are quite right. Jake: Yeah, no good. I'll take Seattle. Justin: Okay, you go there. I will all right another crappy game Carolina versus Tampa in Tampa Carolina is giving two and a half. I think Tampa is gonna be better than people think and Carolina is one of those teams It's probably gonna be worse than people think because like the Cam Newton hype like he's a great player and whatever But they just didn't win and I don't think they're gonna win a whole lot this year
04 Justin: Like I watched them play their ones against the Jets ones. Yeah And that... Other than a couple of blown plays where he ran around a lot. Yeah, whatever. Their offense doesn't scare me. As a Jaff fan, at least. Good, because we play them later. Oh wait, no we don't. I don't think we do. We don't play them. Oh, you're right. But, Caroline has given points on the road. I'm gonna take the home dog. I'm gonna take Tampa. Jake: Oh yeah, the team I least believe in this year. Tampa Bay Buccaneers just don't believe in them in Tampa with an Eco they could play outside Yeah, new code new nut. I don't believe in the quarterback. I don't believe in the running game. I Just don't and I think that the soul. Are you picking? I'm picking Carolina Yeah, why not two and a half points. I'll take Carolina. Okay, I got Tampa Alright, let's go to prime time. I'm not saying that, wait, I'm not saying that I'm all in on Cam Noon. I think he's, for all the people, all those fantasy owners out there who like, they got the guy who's just, that's it, they're going to win the league because of Cam Noon, I don't see it. He regressed his first year, at the end of his first year, the tape is on him now, I think he's a good player. I don't think he's going to be able to just put that whole team like Superman on his back. They got no running backs I think they're I don't think they're going very far, but Tim Bay I think it's worse So I think they could win. Let's go to prime time Justin: Prime time Sunday night rematch Jake: Denver hosting Pittsburgh. I was right the double. This is the double Monday night games. I was like why there's two Monday Justin: Yeah, double first week, but this is a Monday all the way double Sunday night games kinda because the Wednesday nights a Sunday night game Yeah, that's John NBC. This is a rematch of the first round playoff game last year Denver No, T-bow Denver hosting Pittsburgh with Manning. Denver giving one. Jake: Which means the odds like Pittsburgh. By two. Pretty much. If you follow that, home gets you three. Home gets you three. That's kind of strange. I feel like this is a layup for Pittsburgh. You think so? Yeah. I think Manning can come back. He's not gonna be... I mean, his preseason stats. He's not gonna be back first week one. and you're going to be against Pittsburgh, say what you want about their aging defense, they have a way of picking up on people and they have a way of taking the ball away, have a way of getting to the quarterback. I just don't see, I think, I think Peyton Manning is a guy who needs to be comfortable to be good and he's not going to be comfortable his first game against a top five D. Justin: Against a blitzing all out. Jake: And if I'm Lambo, what's his name? They're defensive coordinator. Steelers, it's not Lambeau. It's like, uh... You don't know either? I don't know. Defensive coordinator? Lebeau? Lebeau, that's it. Sorry, Lebeau, Dick Lebeau. I was thinking Lambeau, which is crew, not it. If I'm Lebeau, I'm like, we're just gonna throw everything in our fucking kitchen sink at him.
01 Jake: We have the players, we have the speed, we have, you know, again, we have some... You know crazy player, they're just gonna throw everything at him and they're gonna make him make mistakes. Justin: Well, they're- you know what else they're gonna do? What? They're gonna hit him late. Bump it, flip it. They're gonna hit him late. Just once or twice, just to fuck it. What's this, the outside linebacker? Harrison? Harrison, yeah. He's gonna hit him late. Just end v suspended 15 games? I miss a game or the rest of that game or whatever. They- there's gonna be these like, these- these rafts they're not gonna throw the flag we haven't really talked about it the preseason thing has been horrible there's so many guys who will they throw the late hit flag won't they? do they want to be in the middle of this controversial thing? Harrison's gonna hit him helmet to helmet once and Palomado might do the same someone's gonna hit him Jake: that's the thing Someone's gonna hit him hard. If I'm after this, if I- So I just- so give me Pittsburgh, because I think Pittsburgh would win this game. I got Pittsburgh too. I could see them picking him twice. I could see them running the score up on him. Justin: I gotta remember Denver wasn't really a good team last year. They got lucky. They had a horseshoe up their ass with Tebow. They won games that they shouldn't have won. And they won some games. For shoes. Cults. They won some games that they shouldn't have won. Yeah. Because of just Matt like T-Bo magic. Yeah. Like that one against the Bears, the one against us, the one against the Dolphins. They really shouldn't have won those games. Right. Anyway, I'll take Pittsburgh. A little revenge factor too. You know, they're like, yeah, we should have moved on to play out last year. Jake: Yeah. It'd be funny if it went to the they've went to I mean, I'm not sure Rothenberg is always that kind of oh, they're gonna be able to throw well, they're gonna throw they're gonna be able to throw Justin: Antonio Brown McWaltz is back. They're gonna be able to throw. Yeah, I'm not sure he's gonna be ready week one Jake: But I'll be ready. I mean he'll be ready like they're gonna be able to throw He's at least those two players there at least that gives you that gives you fits If you're the defensive coordinator for the Broncos, you're like, oh shit. Even if Mike Wallace is not 100%, it still keeps going. He's still a deep threat. And he's still a deep point. They got no running game though. They're all injured. Justin: They are going to be throwing. All right, Monday night. Subol champions. You're Subol champions. Monday night, 7 o'clock. I'm not sure I pretend to be there. But there you go. 7 o'clock. So early start. For those who have to work on the west coast, this is a four o'clock start for you guys. Yeah, sorry. Well, you get your own game this year. Well, I guess that's not really too... Well, they've gotten their own game this past bunch of times. Well, I know what I was saying. They get their own game this year. I feel like it's always this game. But anyway, let's start with Baltimore, Cincinnati. This is awesome. This is a great game. Why do you think Cincinnati's going to be any good this year? I just feel like they're going to be good. Like they were good last year, and they remembered they came in third in that division. And that's a third place schedule for a playoff team. And that's a playoff team that had a rookie quarterback starting, so he's gonna get better, you presume. Softball, softball. You have the rookie receiver who looked like, wow, this guy's gonna be real deals. Yeah. And you got a defense who was top. They were good defense last year.
01 Justin: So it sounds like you would take some sanity in this game. Well, they're getting six, so yeah. Ah. Jake: I'm gonna take Cincinnati. Remember Baltimore the first game of last year? What they did? They came out. I think they put a whoopin' on Steelers. I remember it was like a high-fighting game. I had Cincinnati beat Baltimore last year. A couple times. Like twice. I don't see it. Give me Baltimore. And at home we know that's a play there. Justin: On a Monday night they're gonna be drunk. Real drunk and we take that day off and start getting wasted at like one o'clock All right last game. Yes, sir till we get to the FC East man. It's a long podcast 42 minutes so far San Diego is going to Oakland Jake: This is like I'm glad that the early Monday cuz this game if I don't have any someone in fantasy anywhere on this I'd be like Of course I do, but so I walk. Justin: So San Diego is giving one point to Oakland in Oakland, and I like the Chargers to win this game. I don't like Oakland at all. I hate Carson Palmer. I think he's terrible. Yep, I don't like Oakland's defense. They got this new coach. Who knows? I mean, I just don't like them. I have Oakland winning this. Jake: I feel like Oakland's not going to do well this year, but if you want to play. the team that falls apart, you don't want to play him early because they fall apart late. They fall apart late. I feel like Oakland's the team, they're gonna do well. Like, first couple games. Justin: You think so? Here comes Oakland! Carson Palmer? Yeah, he's actually had some time to actually play with the offense. But he wasn't good when he played with his own offense in Cincinnati. Jake: I understand. He's bad. McFadden is not hurt yet. So you have a threat I like San Diego. I think San Diego is not I mean I don't know where Cindy was Cindy goes the enigma game the name Well, they good in the beginning the good they usually good in the beginning then fall apart Maybe this year they'll fall apart the beginning. I don't know alright, so let's go to the that's it for our Justin: Check kind of pick them stupid scores in here in this checking and pick them. I'm just gonna throw random scores in and save so I can save my picks because I do mine on the air all right all right so now we're going to the AFC East yeah yes so which Jake: game do you want to do first well we're actually just gonna do thrown picks and so we're gonna go Miami Houston because we have it written in yes Justin: All right, so Miami at Houston. Why don't I give the spread just so people know it Sure, we've been giving spreads on all these other games. Yes, so Miami in Houston Houston is favored by 11 and a half That's a lot of points and guess what I like Houston Houston at home Jake: 11 and a half home opener remember a couple years back An AFC East team with a rookie quarterback Headed down to the horrible land of Houston this great team that were very picked to be very good that year Justin: No, but this is a different Houston team. I'm just saying this used to say what happened that game
01 Justin: Well this Houston just yeah, yeah, but the gesture whatever this Houston team actually won their division last year and actually Is a real defense and has a real offense like this is a real team real deal Okay, if they didn't lose their starting quarterback Their backup quarterback last year. I mean they still won playoff game. So like they this a good team So give me Houston 31 13 Jake: Okay, I have it 27 13 Houston Houston. I think could be a good team again They have they sort of injury thing. Can they stay they lost, you know first? They lost running backs and quarterbacks. I think they're going to come out firing all signals. I think Miami could go over for a while and not win a lot of games. I haven't at six wins, but I feel like that's towards the end of the season when I start to win a couple that people don't care about and whatever. They play the Cardinals and they win a couple. So yeah, give me 27-13 Houston Texans. Justin: All right moving right along we have New England at Tennessee Let me get the spread for you here for this game in Tennessee New England is favored by six Okay, people like or the line the lines makers like New England by six points here and I like New England by six points here. I think New England's gonna be Real hard team to stop man that offense so you bring McDaniels back the year that they have their great great offensive season Touchdown is under McDaniels They bring in his receiver who knows the system in Brandon Lloyd who's a an absolute improvement over branch Jake: Slash Ocho Cinco you see they let go of a branch. They let go branch. Yeah, they also let go there Justin: Why didn't the Jets pick up branch? No, there's a couple players and Dan Connelly the guy who played center for them last year They should have picked up one or one or both of those guys Interesting anyway, what do you have the score? Jake: 3517 New England. Yeah, I have it 31 13. I'm trying to think if I think that Tennessee's a team that can score Justin: Yeah, I'm bunches. Yeah I mean they got Jake Locker starting. Yeah rookie not rookie second year Yeah second year got some experience in his rookie year, but didn't really start too many games, right? Not like New England's defense is like, you know set the world on fire, but they're they did get better Jake: Well, they also they drafted almost all the and their offense. I mean, how do you stop? Justin: First off you have the best quarterback in the league. Okay, so let's start there So you have a top three quarterback in the league. Who are we? Fine. We can agree on top three? Yeah, top three. You have a top three... Tim Tebow. You have a top three... Tim Tebow. ...quarterback in the league. And then you give this top three quarterback in the league Brandon Lloyd on the outside.
04 Justin: Yep. Wes Welker. Yes. Rob Gronkowski. Yes. And Aaron Hernandez. It's pretty pretty brutal And then two second round draft picks from last year at running back with Danny woodhead also coming out of the backfield Don't worry about their running game so much. Well, that's the thing you don't worry about it and then it hits you Yeah, like that's what happened us last year. Oh, we're like, oh forget it and then Ben Jarvis green house goes for like 130 Yeah, and you touched it just and they just keep running it. Yeah, we could stop it because Tom Brady will do what do what you give Them right? Oh you want to stop you want to like Stop us from throwing underneath there you want to throw five or six DBs out there We're just running up your ass like I stopped this guy. Okay, you're gonna stop the run now great Now I get to throw the Gronk over the middle for 30 at a time like it's not fair almost Like they just keep signing guys and getting better on offense. It's almost not fair, but anyway I like them 35 17 you like them 31 13 very similar All right, so the game of the week game of the century game of the century my bills fan friend texted me earlier today Jake: Let's see if I can read this on the air you can because unless you said fucking kind of fuck Justin: Did he say he said Are the Jets slash New York City going to implode if the Bills beat them this weekend? See how he's already like unsure of himself if if if if I said don't have to worry about that Because we're winning 17-9 And he wrote 24 10 doubles Jake: 2410 that's a bills fan perspective. Wait, I'm happy. He couched it totally by saying if if Justin: What's with the why not when right because he knows it's not happening even bills fans know Jake: No, so let's just read Warren bill the bills from last year were the bills who led the AFC East after week like By the path right they beat the paths They were in offense that was putting up points their defense never really got going right? They would let they would have to win by winning 31, you know 27 type games Justin: and Jackson were the two big ones. Jake: So here they come, they're reloaded. They got all those people back. Fitz is back, Jackson's back. Jackson's on the wrong side of 30 at this point. If you're a fancy owner, I know some fancy owners love him. I think he's on the wrong side of 30. He got beat down, he got used a lot last year. They're gonna put- But they do have CJ Spillers.
00 Jake: CJ Spillers to me is not the answer. The question is, do you want a good running game? CJ Spillers not the answer. He's the- Do you want a guy who's just average? Below average. Well you don't know. He's never really been given too much of a chance. Everything I've seen of him below average. Well, I don't know. You've never really been. And then you have Stevie Johnson. Never really seen him with a chance. Stevie Johnson, who, you know, one of the few, actually, sorry, the only wide receiver in the entire NFL, the Jets played last year, who scored on Rivas, Stevie Johnson. Right. So They still have weapons. Then you say, okay, well, what about their poor D? Well, they happen to go out get the number one draft the number one free agent of the of the season right Mario Williams They then go and get the guy from the guy from New England Adam David's or Anderson Anderson. Yes mark Anderson. No, the good had I think 11 sacks last year something like that Justin: not worried about okay but 11 socks like what I see jay spiller last year had a pretty good year yeah backing someone up well no then he had to start remember because Fred Jackson only played 10 games do not Jake: believe in Sti in in 5.2 yards per carry do not believe in him okay let's let's see him saying yeah yeah just you can just say So what team is this? Is this the perennial Bills? Yes. The one that just flubbed and died and had not been in the playoffs for like 12 years? Justin: It's that one. It's the one you saw last year. The one that like, you know... At the end of the season? No. The entire... The one that began the season was a winning team. Jake: That's the Bills. That's the whole thing. But then they would win this game. If you weren't being a homer, you'd say they're gonna start off strong and then flub. Justin: No, they're just gonna be... They're just gonna be what they were at. Yeah, you are. They're just gonna be what they were last year. Jake: So a team that starts strong, beats a lot of good teams, and then doesn't in the end of the season. Justin: Perhaps. They don't beat the Jets though. Under Rex Ryan, I don't think Buffalo's beaten us. No, that can't be true. No, I believe it is. I don't think we've lost the bills in like four years. That's interesting. They haven't beaten us. Jake: They can't figure us out. Here's the thing. Here's where I'm gonna go with this. I think our defense, as you do as well, our defense is gonna be good. And actually I take that back. Justin: They beat us once in the Ryan era. I remember it was that. Awful like Mark Sanchez five interception. Yes, but we still lost like 16 13 and the kid through five interceptions rookie year It's something ridiculous. So they can't figure us out. We always stop them slow them down They can't run on us. I can't throw on us. We pick them off. We they fumble we beat them on special teams We beat them Jake: We we beat them handily in times. Yeah, so let's get me give me your keys to the castle We know what you think's gonna happen three keys the keys of the castle or key key I'll give my key that'd be two keys keys Justin: We key the castle for this game Mario Williams versus right tackle question mark oof
01 Justin: If they can give Sanchez a little time Yes. Then we'll be okay. If they can run the ball, then we'll be okay. Jake: It's funny, we're 53 minutes into a podcast and we haven't even discussed the thing that the entire media... No. No. The entire media has been discussing forever. What? The T-Bow package? Justin: The Wowcat package. Sure. We're gonna... Throw it out there, but it's not I will be that usual deal I actually wouldn't even mind if they didn't even do it just don't do it Just they've been saying they're gonna do it that would be just don't do it ultimate Jake: So here's a fuck ultimate Charlie Brown if they literally just didn't do it who cares they fucking didn't do it and do it Justin: Maybe they're never gonna do it. Maybe they will maybe they won't I mean who cares right it to me It's not the key. It's not the key to the castle Stopping Brad Smith from doing it against us not the key to the castle key to the castle is that right tackle versus Mario Williams? Cuz my one has to have Austin Howard If they let that guy that they traded hunter for Smith the guy from st. Louis Jake: So I second overall pick that yeah, but then our roster for like about two weeks playing right tackle block the guy. All right Justin: If it doesn't matter who it is they just got to stay in front of Mario Williams, right? And you know Marcel Darious at tackle sitting right next to Mario Williams no slouch So Brandon Moore is gonna have his hands full there, too Stopping that line from Destroying us with a four-man rush is like the key to the castle because you got to be able to run And maybe that little tubo package is gonna be the wrinkle that allows us to run fine but you can't, Sandwiches can't get sacked six times in this game. And win. It's not gonna happen. So, you know, once, twice, fine. But, just that, Mario Williams versus Howard really. And I don't mind a coverage sack. A coverage sack is different. Yeah, we know we don't have the best receivers in the world. It's just, like, don't let it be a turnstile like it was against the Giants. Those were not coverage sacks. Those were, that's a better... defensive lineman then you are an offensive lineman by a lot. Right. And I'm just gonna run around you or over you or whatever. Jake: Yeah, they're gonna have to leave it tight end in there. They're gonna have to chip. Justin: A little chip. John Connor chip here. Dustin Keller chip there. Whatever. Jake: So here's what I'm, my key is actually, my key is the two guys who haven't been in pre-season, who have not shown up. Sort of the two guys. Everybody's worried about the wide receiving core. Known. But I'm kind of worried about the two guys who were sort of out for the most preseason, which is Holmes and Curly. These are two of our biggest weapons, sadly. Stephen Hill? Listen, I think Stephen Hill can be amazing at some point in the future, but I've seen him drop way too many balls. And I think he's going to continue to drop. I think he's going to make incredible catches. Everybody's going to be very happy with him.. I,, I think he's going to drop a few that we're going to be like, oh my God, seriously, dude, did you just drop that ball? Totally happening. Yeah.
00 Jake: So then I think it's up to, then I think it's that third down guy. Who on third down is going to get the ball to save our ass? It's Keller and Curly. The K's. Keller and Curly. Keller and Curly. This game comes down to- Justin: And maybe, maybe, maybe the law of power. Jake: as it as it's catchable yeah all right like LT saved our ass on third down a lot and you think ball pals in there for third down yeah or they haven't like Justin: just how they haven't well just how they haven't used the Tebow package it's possible that they haven't shown us the Joe McKnight package cuz don't you feel like Tebow and McKnight in the backfield is scarier than Tebow and Sean Green Do you feel like McKnight's a little more dynamic? And can like do things? I can see that. Or like having Joe McKnight on the field with... Like I was wa- actually was watching last night There was a college football game on Georgia Tech was playing against Virginia Tech And Georgia Tech's where Steven Hill came from So I was watching that offense You know, cause they're like, oh they run this triple option And he's a receiver coming out of this offense that's... I could see Tebow running that triple option with Stephen Hill and a running back right because If he knows it Hill right Tebow could run it for sure and running backs just a running back in that play I mean I could see us running some of those Georgia Tech plays, and it was somewhat effective. It's tricky You got a receiver coming across the line in motion and you're snapping the ball and you can pretty much do one of three things at that point. You can hand it to the running back, pitch it back to the receiver, or run right up the middle. I feel like we're going to see some of that with McKnight and Stephen Hill. Yep. And that's the Tebow package. I mean, that's what they want to have happen out there. Jake: They might have even drafted Hill with that in mind. Well, a lot of people were saying they did because he's also a good run blocker and he will be someone who helps with the running game. So to me it's the K's. You get Curly and Keller. They can say because where is it coming from? That quick rush will get the ball out. And who's gonna be ready for the ball very very quickly? It's those two guys. So I feel like those two guys are... Now, I believe in K Yeah, I'm right there with you. I'm 17 9 79. Okay, so I know no touchdowns no touchdowns. Yeah Justin: I mean it's up it I really believe in this defense. I hope you do that the Bills best drive is gonna be their first drive Where they score a field goal? Yeah, no, that's gonna be a drive where they're gonna move the ball a little bit and then that's it Jake: So we're shut down from there. All right. Well, that's it for us, right? We got everything. Yeah, we're done. All right, that was only a 59 minute podcast. Let's go all the way to 60. Call it a day.
