09 Justin: The best place to be is when expectations are high. Get used to it. It's always going to be that way. Can't wait! Jake: Welcome to the Jack Keaton podcast on... running New York Jets podcast on the internet ever. My name is Jake and joining me for the 150 second time in a row for a longevity stint that has not been matched is Justin. Justin how are you doing today? I'm great thanks. We just finished watching. the the Jimmy Fallon Nick mangled I Don't even know what that was chest waxing checks. We're asking chest waxing Which is part of our agenda, which I guess we can just cover immediately But so we'll get into it. There's tons of stuff on our agenda We're basically gonna take a lot of questions from the Facebook you verse which is interesting people like to post things on Facebook and not so much on Twitter. But we love it so we'll take some questions from you guys and we'll go down our agenda. So let's kick it off. First things first, I guess we'll talk about Nick Mangold. He went on Jimmy Fallon last night and answered questions, trivia questions, which was kind of funny. I never thought of Nick Mangold as a guy who could sort of like had celebrity appeal like... Out of all the NFL players like Nick Mangle really sure he's just a friend or he's with Justin: a cool dude he doesn't have a lot of cool hair on him he didn't start now he has less he has much less that was a funny thing yeah it was very funny if you haven't seen it go find it on the internet google that google it like I'm Fallon video yeah find it it's really funny very funny. Jake: In other small bits of news... As for our wish last week, we wished upon a star that the Jets would win or say yes to the hard knocks. Well, they have crashed our dreams across the rocks of despair by saying no. They're not interested. So the Jets are not doing hard knocks. That is sort of out. I am a little depressed. I'm a little depressed. Yeah, I was so looking forward to it. I would have been nice, but whatever Justin: I might have to go listen to the one from or watch the one from two years ago I'll just like whatever they just get somebody to do it because the show has to be on Those are last year. Yeah, and it sucked get one on. Yeah, it's a good show. It is a good show get that on other news we have I'm looking at our agenda, you've left some news off the table. Well, bring it! Well, there's this whole article here about Joe McKnight and Big Macs. This is an article? Well, apparently he wanted to gain some weight.
03 Justin: He wanted to add some weight, because he thought he was too small. Yes. So he gained 15 pounds, bringing him to 216. Yeah. and they asked him how he went about doing that and he said a lot of McDonald's and apparently he was not kidding which I don't really think is a good thing he... kind of idiot kind of dumb right? he... he literally ate McDonald's all the time I mean if you haven't seen Super Size Me, if you want to gain weight, eat McDonald's Like, he didn't eat at all, like every meal, like he wasn't on a McDonald's only diet, but he ate a lot of fast food burgers and the way he figures he ate and then he worked out to make it into muscle. That's like the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. Why is the Jets letting a player decide to put on 15 pounds? The Jets have no say in that matter. Well, he should call the Jets and say, hey guys, I want to put on weight. How should I do that? Because they would say, eat protein mix or whatever. They wouldn't say it. I'm pretty sure that the CBA doesn't allow them to do any of these things. Great. So he'll be the fifth running back. I mean, who cares? Well, he's our second running back as it stands. He's not going to be our second running back. Why do you say that? I think the guy we just signed, he's going to be like. So the sixth rounder that we picked this year is gonna be better than the fourth rounder we picked last year Who's gonna be better than the fourth rounder we picked the year before is that your logic? That's it? Jake: Okay So that's that's the news here Justin: And there's and there's tender gallus going to trial. What does he just guess? He's going to trial for something happened in 2010 What's to discuss about it? They drafted this guy. He's gonna play. He's gonna be in jail. What's with this guy? Jake: Clearly, they, again, this is one of those, the Jets know more about what's going on in this case. They wouldn't draft a guy who's gonna get put in jail and lose time. There's some case that'll get thrown out or he'll get some slap on the wrist. First time offense, rookie, he'll be let go. I only lost you to rookie here. I don't think he'll be let go. I mean, the NFL won't... I don't care. They're not gonna put him in jail for it. I just think that you worry about the NFL suspending him for games for missing... Contact, but I think it happened before he was a he was a jet before he was an NFL player Happening college therefore he can't he they can't they can't hold it against him because he hadn't signed the agreement with the NFL Completely untrue the NFL is like the Gestapo They just they cannot bait that let me ask you a question question. Yes go on Justin: This guy prior the quarterback for Ohio State. Yes, was he not suspended last year for five games? And that just so happened to coincide with the five games that the NCAA was suspending him for Didn't do anything as a pro You got money for selling college jerseys or his autograph in college maybe the NFL went ahead and suspended him anyway, didn't they?
08 Justin: their assholes Jake: Yeah, I think they'll just do that. Yeah, but that I think that's because that was a football related thing and some other ruling body Yeah, yeah So you really worried about this Justin: I'd like him to not have to miss any time worrying about like this is a guy who needs to develop right like I think of him as Cione Puas eventual, you know, the guy who's going to succeed him, right? The next guy in the middle. And if you think back, Puau was a third round pick and it took him like two or three years to finally get a chance and play. And then once he got to play, he was pretty decent. I'd like for this guy to not. Jake: get stunted. Yeah, I feel like with it's the off-season they'll get it out of the way. I do not think it'll affect any part of the Jets at all. That's my prediction. I hope not. Speaking of predictions, you got other news that you're coming up with or this is it? No, that's good. Speaking of predictions, Joe Namath is talking, is giving some of his opinion on... Justin: When is he's not giving his opinion. Jake: So actually, downswitching, so is Joe Namath talking about Sanchez vs. T-Bell? He basically says he's much better than Tim T-Bell. The article, if you read the article, it starts off basically saying, Joe Namath shouldn't be doing this. He just spouts off, and they actually write the exact way I feel, which is... I love J Thank you. . I got it. But at this point, you're part of the team. I feel like. He should realize he's part of the team. He's not the media. He's not a broadcaster. He's not a fan. Like me. He's part of the team. And I think he should act like he's the... He's the quarterback or he's the or he's a head coach or he's the owner whatever it is He should act like that and he should not be saying anything any comment that wouldn't come from the team. So when you start to compare Quarterbacks and say this one's better than that one or this one sucks He was harsh on Sanchez last year like he should shut the fuck up and I respect him But this is not his position. He is an icon of the team. He cannot be saying bad things about the team. That's just my opinion. But I, that's the way I feel about it. Justin: If you don't want to be a broadcaster, you want to be a journalist. To be fair, this isn't actually a bad thing that he's saying about the team. It's that- He's done that. Yeah, I know he has done that. Many times. Right, last year especially. But this is someone- Jake: someone asks him questions and he answers them yes and he also has a podcast Justin: guess what not the longest running podcast guess what what I don't I appreciate the fact that he answers the question he speaks his mind I guess
04 Justin: And if someone asks you, who's better? Mark Sanchez or Tim Tebow, and you don't give an answer, that sucks. No. So you may as well give an answer, and you may as well give the answer that you believe is true. Jake: Yeah, but I just think that he shouldn't, that's not the position he should be into this team. This he should be held up to a different standard, and his answer should be much more... Justin: political that's it I don't like that just tell me what you think no because then he'll sit there and shit on the team in the middle of the season but he he doesn't he doesn't shit on t-bow he just says I think this guy better and the Jets say that too they say it every day they say Sanchez is the starter that's basically saying Sanchez is better isn't it I guess Jake: he did not, that's the other thing. I mean he goes golly, I remember this, and golly he remembers that he won a championship Justin: in his fourth year. Jake: Right, so that was the fun part is that he said the championship in his first year, he's like I hope they do that. Fourth year. They do that. Um... relenting. You know, but he was, again, he was, he came out against them picking Tebow or doing the trade for Tebow originally. So I will to say, I saw it the other day, I prospective going to put my fuck you because it's to, I think it's Schlerath again, he was on NFL Prime or NFL. Justin: Something ESPN is too many hour-long NFL shows that are on every day of the week. They are just oh, you know We haven't talked about what we haven't talked about the top 100. We'll get to your fuck you saying I've seen the top one No, get to your fuck you. Oh, yeah. Well, I want to know I don't even know what what they are Jake: Can I find them? No, it was the same thing. It's like they we they almost put a t-bow Sanchez thing in every SportsCenter and every NFL Live show because it's like such a topic but like why there was nothing basically this guy came out and said that the quarterback coach came out and said that Tebow is playing better than you know we thought he was. Oh yeah that's right. Kavanaugh came out and said he was Look good. Better than he thought. Right. Then two weeks, then like, the day before he had said, you know, Sanchez has some stuff to work on, he's gotta work on some of his accuracy, gotta work on some of his decision making. So you know what they did, this fuck you, ESPN? They said, let's take those two and juxtapose them. Sure. And basically say, well, yeah. And basically, say, Kavanaugh says that Tebow is great and Sanchez sucks. It's like, that's not what he said. He says that Tebow looks better than he thought, and Sanchez has some things to work on. That's not. Because they they played it off like it was one fuck you like fuck you Sanchez and TiVo you the greatest pisses me off totally I Justin: Everybody ESPN the whole thing and I generally like ESPN but that just pissed me off all right So let's talk about this top 100. I'm just finding it now. It's hard to even find Okay, they're at the top 100. They just got into the 70s. Yep
02 Justin: Any jets you got Tim Tebow at 95? Yeah, okay Jake: Now it was just say this is the NFL's top 100 players voted in by the players in For the year 2012 meaning so it's 2011 2011 is based on their 2011 performance, right? So it's been lots of comfort lots of Um, uh, lots of talk about... No, it's the 2012. It's the 2012 list. Yeah, well, it's for the season 2011. Right. So there's lots of talking about, well, where does Peyton Manning go? Because if it's a 2011, he shouldn't even be on this list. But is he a player in 2012 and is he a top 100 player? Yes, he is. Justin: If you're asked my opinion, he should be number one. Jake: Well, no, I know but that's your joke thing. He's not a player on this. He didn't play last season Justin: No, well, then he's so Randy Moss. Yeah didn't play last season, but they'll rank him because Randy Moss ranked at all No, anyway any some any surprises in there I'm surprised to see some names so low When I say low I mean like I guess high like like wow that's some skill when you mean low you mean high well there 85 Navarro Bowman I mean okay he's like one of the best middle linebackers in the entire league on the best defense in the whole league and he's at 85 right like that like that to me doesn't make a whole lot of sense Jake: So here's the player who dropped the most. Nnamdi at 79. Nnamdi dropped, did you see his last years? 18. He dropped from 18 to 79. That's what's kind of interesting is seeing where they ranked the year before. Yeah. To see if they're going up or down. Well Vince Wilford went from 35 to 81. It's funny because last year he had those two or three interceptions right? Didn't he have the interceptions last year? Justin: Yeah. I don't know. I mean this is very subjective. Well, Deshaun Jackson at 71. Really? He had an awful year. And what was he ranked last year? 29. He was awful. Well, that's why he dropped. But he shouldn't even be on the list. He's got a top 100 player. Like, Hakeem Nix is 90 and Deshaun Jackson 71. Super Bowl winning quarterback. Well, Super Bowl winning receiver. Number one receiver on the Giants. Deshaun Jackson. Didn't do anything held out right? I mean that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense Jake: Yeah, well I think the fun part of it is is the players that are voting on it Justin: So it's their opinion of themselves. Yeah, I mean it's interesting like Flacco's here at 74 and like I always link Flacco Well, I link actually Lincoln with Matt Ryan because they were drafted in the same Jam Ryan will be on that list. Well Matt Ryan will be up up up like in the 40s or 30s somewhere and Flacco's here at 74 and he's you know Won a bunch of playoff games and got him to the title game and basically won that game in New England Jake: And he should have been here. Here's something that Joe Flacco has done that Matt Ryan has never done won a playoff game
01 Jake: Oh, wait, wait. Now. Here's another thing he's done one to play off games. What here's another thing he's done He's won three playoff game. Wait, here's another he's won four Justin: Mean he's been riding championship games. Never has anyone he's he won the game like that New England game Yeah, they he threw a touchdown pass that the receiver couldn't hold on to and then it's not his fault The kicker went out there and missed a 25 yard field goal. So make a prediction near at 74 make a prediction for our buddy Jake: derail Justin: Dorell, he was four last year or six? No, he was in the six through ten. Yeah. He'll be in the same. I think he'll be right there. Yeah, I think for name recognition, like his- Top ten. Top ten. His stats weren't as good as the year before. That's not true. We talked last week about how his advanced stats say that he had the- he was the fifth best player in the whole league. Right, but compared to the year before, he was after we shut down the year before. No, the year before he had his hamstring injury. That was two years before. Well, two years before, sure, but last year when they did this list for the 2010 season, he missed a few games. Right. and he had his hamstring injury and he was still number seven or six or whatever. Yeah but again I Jake: think part of that is being bolstered up by the team the Jets getting to the AFC Championship with the defense. I feel like he'll be in the top 10. Top 10 definitely. How many other Jets will there be? Justin: Probably two others. Mlandgold. Mlandgold and D-Brick that's probably it. Oh you think D-Brick makes this list? Probably should, I mean, I- you know homes, you don't think homes is on the list? Not a chance. No, not from last year, you're right. Not even close. If Nix is 90, homes is 190. Like, he's not even close. I mean, it'll be interesting to see where Victor cruises, cause if Nix is 90, and Cruz isn't on this list yet, it's already up to 70. You have to imagine he'll be on this list somewhere. Yeah, he's gotta be. I mean, AJ Green is 77. 7. That just doesn't make sense. That's like AJ Green didn't have a better year than a keen mix He just didn't I feel like that's cuz Cruz is gonna be somewhere in here and they didn't want to put two of the Receivers on the same team. Well remember it. They didn't that's not them. It's just players voting. So I know it's weird. I mean You're probably right. D-Brick probably won't be on this list because Joe Thomas is here and he's at 82 and he's really... Where's Jake Long? Where's Jake Long with her last year? Oh. He's usually on this list. Yeah, but he's, I mean, he's probably above this. Ehh? But, but Joe Thomas is here at 82 and he's a really good left tackle and... Jake: What's also interesting is it's all players. Like it's not, it's not like top 100 receivers or top 100, you know, it's everybody. So you got... you know you have to think about all the players right now even though usually the quarterbacks float towards the top yeah I mean you know it'll be Rogers Justin: Rogers will be one Brady will be two Brady was one last year Manny I was too but I think I just I think Rogers will be one maybe Breeze Brady two three Eli
01 Justin: will probably be in the top ten oh yeah that's here is in the he was like 21 There's no reason for him not to be in the top 10. He won the Super Bowl, he threw for about 5,000 yards. I mean, he'll be in the top 10. I'm excited for him to be good. Speaking of which, the Giants get their rings today. I saw a picture of it. Let's move on. I saw a picture of that ring. Jake: Look nice. All right, let's take some, well, we got two other things. So I guess our fans are clamoring for the Jet Kingdom fantasy league because. I'm in it. We've already gotten people asking how to get in. I'm in it. So it's kind of interesting. You are in it. You sent me the invite and I accepted. I set it up already. We have basically one person who's already in because he suggested it. Figured I'd give him. But we still have to figure this out. But we still have the things from last week. So I'm saying again, we're doing Jet Kingdom Fantasy League. We're doing ESPN standard. Standard thing. So it's no special anything. It's just standard. . 10 players this year. 10 teams. 10 teams. We're doing, it actually is in divisions, standards in divisions. Right, so two divisions. Two divisions, whatever. Whatever, we'll all play together. Doesn't matter. But the twist, the Jets twist this year, and going forward, and every year is, oh and no keepers, so every year will be refreshed. You may not, you must have a jet on your starting roster. Every week, at least one, until at least the Jets buy. And, no, up and down. So the top three jets, like Keller, like Green, like those guys. Justin: Like Jets defense. Jets D green, right well Jets defense is good because. It's Jets defense is good. Where do you pick them? That's the, that's the starter you want to start. Cause he doesn't get hurt. It never gets hurt. And it'll probably be pretty good. It'll probably be pretty good. Yeah, it'll probably get you 20 points. I'm picking the Jets defense in the first round. That's good. Someone in this stupid fucked up league is gonna pick the Jets in the first round. The defense. Oh, in this league I think it's gonna happen. It'll be funny. So I think it also gets us over our homorrhism because everyone has to play a jet. Jake: So the only thing they figure out is not only the people when they come in, but Justin: then we're gonna do a snake draft. Yeah. We have to figure out the order. Well that's easy. Pick out a hat. We'll do it on the podcast. Alright, so we'll do it on the podcast. Jake: Alright, so that'll be fun. So, we already got some submissions. We gotta come up with some sort of standard. We gotta get that going probably in the middle of July, cause we got 8 spots open. Justin: Well they can email us, right? Email us at podcast at JetKingdom.com. Right, they can post on our Facebook. Paste it on Facebook. Or tweet you or whatever.
01 Justin: Well we'd like to hear why. Bye. Right now the only submission is why should you be on the Jet Kingdom fans today? Yeah, why? Just send us a note. Tell us why. It better be good. Maybe a picture. Maybe a video. Maybe a picture. A picture would be good. Yeah. I'm gonna see faces. I wanna see why. Show me your Jet's man cave. Yeah. Wait, that didn't play. How big a fan are you? Yeah, you're awful. Man cave? Man cave? Woman cave. What? What? This podcast just got explicit. All right. Speaking of our fans, let's take a couple... Speaking of explicit... Let's take a couple questions from our fans. I hate when things just auto-play. This thing just started playing on me. Yes. So I asked this morning, I think... Um... Let me hop over to the stats. For a couple questions, we got a couple questions. Jake: All right. Can I read it? Yeah, go ahead. All right. D'Artagnan. Yes. We won't say your... two last names but dartanian asked although it's on the facebook page but it's not really Justin: it's not really hidden but whatever he asked or she i don't know one or the other uh what will landry loron and the rookies we got from the draft mean for our defense improvement or bust uh well let's name some of the guys we got so all right well we got landry yes Right we got coples. Yes We got safeties. I know one name Bush. Yep. We got a linebacker in the third round Can't remember his name kind of stupid but whatever somebody yeah Jake: Overall, I mean everything I've been reading is just this is the year about speed. This is this defense has got to get faster And the defensive scheme, I've heard a couple things. One, Rex Ryan's going to be much more involved in the defense. Didn't like the way it went down last year. Needs younger, faster guys who are going to play harder. Landry's the one I actually think about. I keep forgetting that we got him. Mm-hmm. I'm hoping he looks like the video that you see, you know, see this video of him just laying people out. I'm hoping that's the way it goes. He's a big dude. He's a huge dude. But he's also an injury risk. There's been long-standing injuries with him. You know, I... This is a tight end league now. It's like these big fucking tight ends all over the place. And we gotta play them. You need someone who can... I think... Justin: not only keep up with them, but also hit them hard and get them to like respect the, respect the middle of the field. I think Landry's gonna be a big addition though. So you think he's gonna be a big, like if you just- Big solid. Jake: Like, alright, but look at, look at all the additions. Who do you think is gonna make the biggest impact this year of all, of only the people we added? Laurent Landry. That's the one. Justin: Okay. Not even close. Not even close. Yeah. Season player. big guy seems to fit the scheme well can play in the box he'll be blitzing quite a bit I imagine
03 Justin: he if he's healthy will be huge for the jets they really need a safety right they haven't had I mean I'm still hoping that free agent Jim Leonard signs yep because it'd be nice to have him out there too and a guy who could really like knows the whole package but by this point the players have been in the defense for three years like they should all know the package but jimmy really called the shots out there and you you did see like a big difference when he got hurt both years both years they slowed down and kind of sucks yep but i i want i would like him to uh to return. Well, no one signed him. So it's... No, no one's gonna sign him. We're gonna sign him. Right. But it's gonna be right before camp. Right. Kind of thing. Like, are you back? Can you participate? Right. Yes, no. Yes. Okay, sign this small little contract. Great. Great. Jake: Uh, Ash asks... What do you think about Rex comparing our rookie linebacker to Ray Lewis? See he didn't even know the name. And do you think the bill- Justin: Struggling for this guy's name. I'm gonna find the name. Jake: And also do you think the Bills will give our division a shake-up this year with all their free agency moves and a solid draft? Well, you're saying it's a solid draft. My means close to the whipping boys a few season Brady is going to start wearing down soon, so maybe sure it's going to be between us and the bills at some point. I honestly don't... if I'm looking at the season already Well, let's answer the first question. Rexy is going to pair people to anybody. You just want to say why do you get a guy and he's going to say, Well, I got a guy because I think he's like this other guy. Right? Because he's that kind of guy. Listen, I compared Koppel stuff... Frickin peppers. I mean really I went to the same school. All right, but they compared him as players. He could be peppers You know sure I want you I want them to compare Every DB they get to Rebus. I want them where every linebacker to Ray Lewis I want them to care every quarterback to you know, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, you wanna compare him to the best. You don't wanna say, oh, he's like that guy down in Tennessee who's not so good. No, he's gotta compare him to a good guy. Does he give me some hope? Yes, I'm excited, sure. Bills, I think the Bills are going to be the people who, so I feel like every year there's like, The Patriots are going to be the Patriots and they're going to be better and they're still going to win 14 games. That's just what they're going to do. Maybe 13 this year. But 14, 13 games. That's them. Then it's a matter of, okay, the rest of you fuckhalls, what are you going to do? You're going to win 6 games, you're going to win 8 games or 10 games. That's it. You get 6, 8 or 10. So who's fitting in those 6, 8 and 10 slots? Because if Patriots win 13 or 14, you know that they're taking their shit out of most of the other people. So 6, 8 and 10. I wanna be in the 10 spot. I want the jazz to be in 10 spot. I think we can be. I think last year, we were in the eight
00 Jake: and actually everybody else was even below. I think no one was even up to 10. I feel like the Bills make the switch this year. They switch it up with the Dolphins. I don't think that you think the Dolphins are gonna be okay. I think the Dolphins have actually nothing in the tank. They got nothing. They got rookie, rookie, rookie, no weapons. and Reggie Bush who says he wants to set the all-time win. If you have any Bushes like three He will be hurt for week four done. I don't think they got anything Justin: thoughts I Think the bills are gonna be decent But decent for a girls team or like no like us. No like decent like NFL standards good team good defense building that the right way options galore on offense Uh, at this point. They signed Vince Young. Yeah, good backup. That's who we should've signed. That was dumb of us. Why did we do this T-Boe thing? We could've just gotten Vince Young. He could've ran the same stupid shit. He could've been the backup quarterback and really been a backup quarterback. Good enough to sort of push it a little bit, but not that good. Sorry, I'm sorry. And can run all this wildcat bullshit. That was a stupid move on our part. Jake: Yeah, I don't really feel like Vince Young, I want Vince Young running our wildcat bullshit. Justin: It's gonna be like five plays. It could be like ten plays. It's not gonna be ten plays. You don't know what it's gonna be. Neither do I. We could have had like that guy doing it. It didn't have to be Tim Tebow. We didn't have to make all those trades. You could just sign this guy. Tim Tebow was a fourth in a sixth. It was like nothing. Jake: Okay. Whatever. Uh, I don't care about that. Justin: Yeah. The thing is, it's the Bill. Well who cares? It's the back of a quarterback. He's playing. You're fucked. So... Think they I put that fine on off. That's what that's what the Jets are saying with this with Tim Tebow Is this not just the backup quarterback? He's going to be in the I'm not talking about the Jets Okay, just forget what I said the Jets it We're talking about how the bills gonna be good. I think they're gonna be good. They have a really good front seven. How good 500 or better. They're a good team. They were right there last year. They were right on the cusp. That's it. It's injuries. Key guys stay healthy. They're a good team. They have good wide receivers. They have a good running game. They're quarterbacks adequate. They have a retooled solid front seven. on defense and they have pretty good safeties from what I can remember. Yeah. They have pretty good players in their defensive backfield. And they play good special teams. That's a pretty good team. Jake: He said, is Brady wearing down? Do you think Brady's wearing down? No, not even close. Not even close. I think he's done another three years. He had one of his best years ever last year. My hope is that when Sanchez is in his sixth and seventh year and really coming on strong... Justin: That's when that's when brave wearing down. My hope is when Sanchez is in sixth and seventh year coming on strong He's still doing it for the Jets. Oh, well, that's that would be nice as well Um, all right, and then do we have a last question here? Well, we had a question that you asked me on twitter
03 Justin: Oh really? What did I take a question from you to me from jake at jet kingdom podcast from jake at jet kingdom To just jet king. Yep You asked me if sanchez was a top five Jake: All-time Jets quarterback. Well, there's an article that came out saying that there was It was debatable, right? I guess I could pull up the article. Yeah It was basically listing the the another one of our mystery. Let's see. Where are you? Where are you article? Justin: Here you are All right. It's coming up right now So it was a Article on Yahoo Sports is Mark Sanchez one of the New York Jets top five quarterbacks of all time and Saying a lot. No, he's just sort of asked the question. He never really answered it, right? But you know, there's there's a couple of guys that you throw sort of at the top, right? You you Pretty much take name it and put him at the top right right so there's one right so that's easy And then I think Ken O'Brien You could put at two probably he was pretty decent didn't really win anything, but he was a good quarterback And then you have sort of this mishmash Richard Richard rod Richard rod really is that all right That seems like a Isn't his name Todd? I thought it was Todd. Todd Rod. I thought it was Richard Todd. Richard Todd. I feel like that's not right. Richard Rod. Testiverty. Right. Wasn't really there very long. And that's my argument against Sanchez though. And Pennington. Who again, I mean, if that's your top five, that kind of sucks. That was my response to you. You were like, so is he? And I was like, well. If he is it's really shitty and the guys that comparing them to you are really crappy Jake: So like yeah, man, I don't have all the stats on like how many games they want or you know But my guess is that if you stack up Chad Pennington's wins Again name it throw them off the board But Ken O'Brien Richard Todd Vinny Tessa Verde and Chad Pennington and start looking at the winning ratio and playoff wins and stuff like that Justin: I basically think Sanchez is one season away from beating most of them. Well Pennington had 32 victories with the Jets. Right. But it took him eight seasons to get there. Although he didn't play in his first three and he was hurt for two others. Sanchez has 27 regular seasons. So he's like Jake: within a full season of just... Justin: Yeah, I guess you should probably consider him in our top five quarterbacks in the history of the Jets. Jake: But that's not saying anything about Sanchez. Justin: No, that's much more of an indictment on the franchise than it is of saying like... Richard Todd goes into our top five of anything. And Vinny, who really wasn't here very long. No, but he came back. I mean he had a good season. Right. It was a memorable season. They were a half away from the Super Bowl.
05 Justin: They didn't get there. Yeah. Jake: It doesn't really say much. But all right. But sure sure. Yeah, I know if you but it's a nice headline. So at the end of the season we can be like Sanchez second best quarterback of of in New York Jets history. Justin: Maybe you guys are building the case. All right, got anything else? Case is being built as we speak. I don't have anything else. All right, well that's it for this week.
