07 Justin: and they have an implementation of their women. The best place to be is when expectations are on fire. Get used to it. It's always going to be that way. Can't wait! Jake: Can't wait! Can't wait! Can't wait! Can't wait! Can't wait! guests Longest New York Jets podcast ever. Longest or longest running? Well, longest. If you add up all of our things. All the hours? All the hours we've been on for. Done 180 of these suckers. This is the 180 episode. Sure is. Almost up to 200. Oh, that's going to be a. Party that is crazy. You know what we're doing for 200 as much as we did for 100 was like nothing We tried to line 100 up with something. I remember Super Bowl like Super Bowl Yeah, I don't think it happened. We're close I'm a rise but then the Jets kept winning and we had to keep doing podcasts. Oh Yeah, I will line this one up at the Super Bowl That's not gonna work 180 that's 20 Sounds good. Yeah, not gonna work at all. All right, well, it's, we're back after a couple weeks. I'm Jake, he's Justin, here we go. We got some Jets news, basically a bunch of free agency stuff which starts in a couple days. What's the next Tuesday? Yeah, I think it's the 12th. The 12th, yeah. I think the 12th. Free agency starts and we've just got over the big, the. The tagging, like who got tagged, who didn't get tagged? We got some new, we have, we talked about the highest paid. No, we didn't talk about the highest paid. We did not. Person ever, ever player to ever play the game ever. As predicted by this man. Yeah, which is awesome. No, that won't happen. That's not true. That is true. That is very true. I said he's going to be the highest paid. Quarterback in the league you're like not more drew breeze not more than Peyton Manning Oh, and I was like yeah more than both of them Yeah, whatever and that happened and then Brady fucking did what he did I know so we'll talk about that I know it's all about free agency, so let's get into it. So what's the Jets news hmm ho hum Davis dominating these reviews Domination of the news cycle is Dorell Reaves. So why is it that what they're saying what the Jets are saying? What the Jets are saying to the fans, because they got on a conference call the other day, and what the Jets are saying to the media, and what everybody else in the world is saying are completely separate. They are saying we are not shopping him, and if we were shopping him, we would have made it more known to his agent. It makes no... sense for the Jets to come out and just be like, yeah, we're shopping them. You lose like, I think you lose some leverage when you're like, yeah, we're gonna trade this guy. Because then you're telling people that. Basically telling people we want to trade him.
02 Jake: Yeah, so I've been reading, not reading, but watching lots of stuff on this and a couple good ones. One is, you know, some people were saying, listen, if you have something that valuable and you have that many needs. you should get the value out of him while you have him because you have so many needs. But one of the one agreed with me from any podcast back and said, you should do nothing. He's in contract, there's no reason to do anything. You don't know whether he's gonna play. And he literally, and the guy, I think it was Mangini, he's like, let him play. Get in the middle of the season. If he looks like Revas, you then got two options. You then are either having a great season and you then can sign him and you're back, I'm back. You become highest paid guy ever, fine. Or you're having a shit season, you're going down the tubers and some team like the 49ers is. really wants him, he has even more value. He'd be like back to Reavis form, you could then get more value from him in the middle of the season, they could have greater wants. So it's like, I don't think he's got his value now, don't get rid of him now, get rid of him when he has his highest value, which is in the middle of the season, oh yeah, it's the only time you can't get rid of him. So I wouldn't get rid of him before the draft, I would make him. Would actually make him almost like a dare like you know he can't hold out and it's kind of like the first time that he Hasn't been able to hold out right you know he'd love to So it's kind of like one of those things. It's like a dare. It's like dude come to camp. Let's let's get rolling Let's do this. I don't I don't see why the Jets have any reason to to do, he's under contract, there's no reason to negotiate. And unlike our other organization that would always negotiate at any time, there's no reason to. There's no reason to negotiate or to trade or anything. There should be nothing. I don't know, I read this article written by Manish Mehta. Oh, what do you say that Rivas has sexual puppies? Well, they're definitely going to move according to sources within the team, according to league sources. He used... According to sources in like seven different ways without naming a source, right? People close to the situation people. Yeah people within the organization people around the situation people with knowledge of this knowledge of the situation members of The league the league members league member like of the just I understand like writers don't need to give their sources nor should they have to It's part of the trust factor in writing, but I don't trust the fact that anything that this man writes is true. But the other thing is, if that's your, if you 97% of the time, you use that as your go-to, according to sources, the Jets are going to- Sources close to the situation. How about do some real reporting? Sources within the organization. Because you're right, you could make up everything. I think he does. this. I think he takes a wish everything takes a wisp of what someone might be thinking or might say or that's out there and then makes
00 Jake: It into a but at this point So this is close the situation. I'm close the situation the team just flipped over like the whole The whole management structure of the team just got turned on its head There's like three coaches back Rex who you know is not talking to him, right? And anyone else that they kept you know isn't talking to him And then the rest of them are all new. Like who's- who are his sources within the team? Or close to the team? At this point. They all know not to talk to this dude. Unless it's Revus's people who are just feeding him shit. To make- to make news. I mean Revus went on that- show with Michael Robinson, the Seattle fullback, and talked about, you know, I just want to play, I just want to get on the field. Just shut up. Yeah. It's one of the things about... Relax, dude. Just shut... Just stop it. I know you're in the Dorell-Rivas business. He's in the... Yeah. And I get that. And I, you know, that's cool. He's in the Dorell-Rivas is in the Dorell-Rivas business. He's in the business of making as much money as he can during a very short and narrow window of time in his life True Where he can make money because after this he's like what is he gonna do? Right I got like putting I'm not saying he's can't do anything you want, but he's a football player He plays football. He makes money play. This is his highest ability to earn money is right now in his entire life right so it's not a busy his and this is his last payday this contract because After this one, he's not gonna get another one this big. There's a one or two years left sign with somebody as you're... Yeah, but this is his... This is the big one. This is the big one. Well, this is the second big one. He just had a big one. This is the last big one. This is it. There's no more big ones after this. Right. It is... This is... This is the money making contract. I get ya. So, I don't mind him going out there and being like, I wanna play football, I just wanna get out in the field. I wanna hear that, but I don't like it when I hear the, again, I'm a fan of the Jets, and so when you push comes to shove, the Jets are what I'm going to be a fan of. the player, if the player starts to veer away from what the Jets want to do, then I'm no longer a fan of the player. So you start to be a dick. So like if you were a dick, but then you're good and you play on the Jets, then I'll put up with you. But if you're- Like Bart Scott. Yeah, like Bart Scott. He was a dick. He's on the Jets. I love him. And then he's gone. Now fuck you. That's easy. So easy. The equation is just easy. But when he started to go like, why? Bye. Again that statement of that, you know, why didn't it's a business? I know it's a business But why didn't they call me and like send me flowers and be like well, what's up, dude? Because it's a business and they owe you nothing you're under contract. I still think there's no Like the point that you brought up earlier like if the Jets were really trying to move through our revests Then they would have to have the agents involved because no team in their right mind is trading for him without
02 Jake: Signing him to a long-term deal. Unless they're trading him for one year. No, but he's doing that. Why? No way would a team give up. He's six million dollars next year., yeah But yeah, but what you have to give up to get a guy that can just walk on you No team's doing that. Right, but that's why it's a hard tough negotiation I'm not saying they're not trying to change it. There's no way a team is gonna trade for Dorell Reavis without Signing him because of what they're gonna have to give up to get you don't give up a bunch of stuff to get a guy for A year, but that's a negotiation. That's the point What is the value not if Dorell reeves for the rest of his life? But what is the value of Dorell reeves for one year guaranteed for one year for six million bucks? But that's not that's a team wouldn't do that. Yeah, actually Factually incorrect there are teams out there who might think that they are one player away one year away from that happening. And the two that are now in the mix is 49ers and Falcons. You can see both teams are like, yeah, we have a lot of stuff. We don't need long-term guy. We need guy to get us over the hump. We need guy to get us past one or two teams in the playoffs. And that's it. And so, yeah, I think there are teams who would... Now, again, now the value is... what is the value of that one year guy? He's no longer worth the two ones, but he might be worth a one. He might be worth two twos and a three. So the question isn't it's not doable. It is. He has value. But it's less. But the value to the jets is no different. irrespective of that. Like Dorell Revus is Dorell Revus to the Jets. Because Dorell is Dorell Revus until he comes back. Irrespective of what the other team thinks of his value as, oh we're going to trade him for this year and then gamble versus we're going to trade him and then sign him. He's still Dorell Revus, the asset to the Jets. irrespective of what the other team decides to do with him. So they have to put the value on him and that is the value that the Jets have on him and it doesn't fluctuate whether or not he's going to have a long-term deal or not. But they have the same scenario. The Jets value is only one year if they can't resign him. They have no ability to resign them any more than any other team does. So they can go in and say, listen... We can resign him, but he can say no to us too. He's going to get this kind of money. There might be other teams that are out there like, we'll give him that kind of money. That's fine. Again, I think you're thinking it's a little bit too one-sided. I think it's, there's a negotiation out there. I don't know what the actual value is. I actually think we have the money to sign him for years beyond. Because from what I understand, our cap situation is not the greatest this year, but it's perfectly all good next year because there's players that can be done away with. Right. Like guys that are on there now that we can't get rid of that. Yeah, and you have to do the signing bonuses and the guarantees and then those go over to the fruit. Configure it out. Yeah, I'm sure they can. But again, there's no need to because, and there's other players we gotta start going. So let's leave... Alright, let's leave Rebus alone. We had a conference call. Well, I had a conference call.
00 Jake: Well, so did I. I was on it. With Rax and Mr. Idzik. John Idzik. And they were asked questions about 20 to 30 some odd questions. I was surprised how long it took for a T-bow question to pop up. So what are you gonna do with T-bow? And they kind of just were like, he's on the roster. We expect him to compete. He's on the roster. Like that was the answer. It wasn't like, yeah, I mean, you weren't gonna get a straight answer on anything. So that's sort of the fun of this is like, whatevs. I've been on these for years. I get to hear your voice, cool Rex, you're awesome, we love you, love you Rex. And then, you know, people try and grill them. Bob's a mask biz. But they, you know, they screen them pretty good. As far as the callers are concerned, they ask them, what are you gonna ask about? And all that other junk. I'm sure you could just jump into whatever the hell you want. Yeah, I mean they asked all I think the legitimate questions. The problem was that there is, it's not like on this call they're going to open up the kimono and be like, oh actually yeah, we're actually going to cut Sanchez. And they can't say anything that's like... So who are you going to draft this year? They can't tell you that. Like a quote that can be taken out of context, because you know... All the writers are on there. According to sources. According to sources. Well, no, it's not even according to sources. On a conference call, John Idzig said, quote, dot, dot, dot, half sentence, dot, dot, dot, end quote, right? Like, that's a typical thing to do, right? He said this about Tebow, quote, dot, dot, dot. He's on the roster. It's dot, dot, dot. It was good. All right. Again, I just think fun middle of the afternoon my fellow broadcasters are just out of control Next up we didn't tag anybody. Yeah the free agency stuff. We didn't tag anybody no one worth tagging It's probably one guy worth tagging. We just couldn't tag him Yes, true. Well Keller. I thought maybe we the one but now we're not gonna you know what I Don't tell color don't you know why cuz I've seen over the last couple years just tight ends coming into the league out of the draft that are just ready Rarin ready to go in the second third round. Yeah, Gronk was the second rounder Hernandez was a fourth rounder, you know last year's like Coie Fleeener You've seen a couple other young guys come into the league over the last couple years And Jimmy Graham was like a fourth fifth rounder. You can just grab tight ends in the in the Draft and they'd be ready ready raring to go so you know Keller's gonna have to he's coming off a shit year He injured. I don't I don't I know he's like been like their leading receiver or you know close to it over the last bunch of years I don't know if he's played like a whole full season without injury. Like he's always kind of been knocked around or banged up. I mean he's Sanchez's favorite target. So at this point does anybody care what Sanchez wants?
02 Jake: Yeah like it I mean it's kind of kind of true. It would suck to see like... You know, now there's literally zero continuity for this guy ever. But this, I think Keller is probably gone unless he can sign a reasonable deal. But if he if he gets a higher deal somewhere else, he's gone. So let's go right into your game. I have a little game. All right, let's do it. All right. So I have a list of all our free agents. Let's do it. Unrestricted first, then restricted. Alright, so the game is called Sign or Dump. Sign or Dump. Dump. Um, I don't have the guys to cut, cause they're not on our team. So we lead off with... It's kinda tough, what am I saying? So I'm just saying Sign or Dump, regardless of anything? Money, time, pace? Yeah, just, well, like, sign them or dump them, that's it. What do you want to add to it? Alright, well- Sign them- You can add some color, like sign them, but don't go crazy for them. Well, but then I would say that to everybody. We sign them for a dollar. Alright. DeVito. Sign or dump? I feel like DeVito's a guy who we don't have to sign, because I don't think he has a lot of value on the street, but I think he will- I think we will sign him. Like, I don't think we need to sign him, I think he'll come back around like a puppy and we'll get him. Yeah, I think we'll sign. DeVito as well, right? I just don't think we need to make an effort to do it. You're like, oh, yeah, go out there Yeah, no one's out there. No, he'll be he'll be signed as as A non, you know, the offer will be as a backup lineman, right? That's what he will be right. He can play a lot of positions He's versatile. I like him. I think we should try and keep him. He's local also. So that's kind of Kicker. Dump. Dump? Really? Yeah, kickers. Kickers. He's actually been a good kicker. So if you sign him at just kicker money, why not keep... Nah, dump. I don't know if I'm paying attention. He's been good. He's a fucking kicker. I've seen him miss like one pointers. One-pointers? What the fuck? Who the fuck are you? Extra points. One-pointers? One-pointers. Yeah, it's a one-pointer. It's a one-pointer. It's a one-pointer. It's a fucking one-pointer. Boak's been very good, by the way. Yeah, he's been good. He's made playoff game-winning field goals. Yeah, he thinks he's- yeah. What does he think? How do you know what he thinks? He wants- he wants- You're in his head? He wants more money. I don't- I don't know what he wants. I don't care. It's not about- Why don't you want a side? It's not about team constituity. Continuity is not about anything, just- It's a kicker fucking get another kicker, but what if you can just have him or another kicker at the same money? Why would you want to not have him like what's your beef against him? Oh, yeah him or another person the same money just some other they make the same amount of money unless they're like uber kicker But he's not uber kicker. He's just a kick. I don't care about folk. Let him go. All right. I say they re-sign him Are you gonna say this for everybody? No, all right, Geller Yeah, I think, Keller, I don't think there's any reason to sign him. Yeah, I think it's unfortunate, but this is a dump.
02 Jake: Yeah, it's a dump. It's a dump. Dumpers! First round pick. He's a dumper. Slauson. Left guard. Dump. I'm gonna, oh, I was gonna jump in before you got sign. Why? Well, he's later on down the list. So I'm gonna say sign sloss. Okay, cause you wanna let go of Austin Howard? No. They don't. Random more. Random more I think is a dump. Okay. So, Braylon Edwards. This is the weird one. I signed him. Me too. I signed him. One year. Two years too late. Small numbers. Yeah. One year. Lots of upside. Win the Super Bowl, pay $10 million. Yeah. Like incentives or whatever. You're the Super Bowl MVP. We'll buy you a country. He didn't play too badly when he played towards the end of the season. At this point he's like a total... you He's a total journeyman fourth receiver. So you can pay him just like a fourth receiver. And he has some familiarity with the quarterback. So that will be nice. I think we agree on these next two. You're my bell. Let's put them together. All right. The two safeties, Bell and Landry. Sign and dump. signed out the Landry The money it's damn shame he bet on him so he won He won. I'm not gonna get hurt and I'm gonna make the fucking pro ball and he did. This guy makes this guy get signed this guy get you give him a big contract he's getting hurt He's not doing and the Jets had him on special like He doesn't really practice. Right. He does his own thing. He might go to another team that's not so, you know, no, dude, you fucking practice or you don't play. And then he has to practice and then he's going to get hurt. So I think we keep Bell for the veteran leadership that he brings and he knows the defense and he's been in there for a year and he played very well. He played like almost every snap. So. I thought he played pretty well. So all right, we agree green is a dumb. And we've we've talked about this before that the draft is is full of safety. Deep and we drafted two safeties last year. So so we could get we get crazy on safe. Yeah. Sean Green's a dump, I think. Dumpers. Yeah. So running back to this point. He's a dumb. We're going to draft one or. Pick up although like would you rather have some I mean they've been talking about like Michael Turner versus Sean Green I feel like I'd rather have Sean Green. Yeah, I've shown green. I'm not Michael Turner. Why don't we get Michael Turner? I know we could have had him a long time ago. No, no, no, I'd rather have Sean Green But I'm not I don't want to pay him This is the kind of guy that you can just leave out there right and no one's gonna sign him. Yeah Yeah, look at running backs like over the last two or three years Like nobody signs them, they just kind of linger. So you might be able to sign him later for like nothing. And that would be fine. Yeah. But you're not gonna sign him first day for agency, it's not happening. No, and then you don't wanna put your time there. Brandon Moore, I already said dumb.
01 Jake: It's just, he's too old. And I think his play has declined. Um, yeah, I agree on the team for a long time, but I think you got a lot of dumps here In fact, I'm looking at this. Well, the rest of this is like dumpsville. Yeah Welcome to dumpsville brian thomas. I think this is a retire Probably. I mean he's a free agent. I don't think anyone's gonna sign him. No, we're not Chas shillings is a dumper dumps dumps Soupy dumps and then the last of the unrestricted guys Lex Hilliard kids season fullback pickup. Oh Jesus No, don't know. No. Yeah, we don't need we don't need him. I don't think we're gonna be playing with a fullback That's interesting. I Don't think I don't think morning wigs system really calls for a fullback necessarily. I mean maybe But I think that fullbacks gonna need a different skill set like they're gonna need to be able to catch the ball But not necessarily block All right restricted free agents. So Austin Howard I Mean these guys are like they're I think restricted free agents. They're pretty much like keep just how do you want to tender them? Yeah, and you can only tend to so many on so many levels. Right, like you only can go one side. So like Austin Howard could be like a first rounder and make like two and change, or be like a second rounder and make about two. The problem is that nobody in this list I give a shit about besides Austin Howard, who I thought did okay last year. Yeah, I think the Jets like him. So I think Austin Howard's a... A tender re-sign. Yeah, and I think he might be the only one that actually gets the tender offer Cumberland, I think they might let him just hit the market. Yep Josh Malga, he barely played last year. It's hurt I think See, so to me, long snapper is how you took the kicker thing, right? Like, ah, kicker or whatever. But there are good kickers and bad kickers. And there are kickers who we've had on the team that can kick in the Meadowlands, Yeah. Which is different from kicking in a dome. And he can. So, long snapper to me is like... Just whatever whatevs I can snap it good Sold anybody who first of all anybody on our special teams last year should be fired immediately I thought our kicker our punter was very good. I a your true. That's true. Our printer was good last year. Yeah alright, so I Threw this other thing on here. I have two two names of people that I think we should Either cut or restructure and of the two names one of them is actually a cut and the other is a restructure. Okay, go for it. Can you think of anybody off the top of your head or you want me to just give you my two? You're two people to either cut or restructure?
00 Jake: Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, give it to me. So David Harris is a complete restructure. Has to be, yeah. Because he makes a ton of money and it's a huge cap. But wouldn't they have already done that by now? No, because they resigned him. No, you can restructure whenever. At any point? Yeah. Okay. So, I think they should, restructure David Harris. I think you want to try and do it before the start of the next season. Right. So like certain bonuses may kick in at certain times, but I think you can do it whenever. I glared at them and I didn't know what they were doing. I feel like they usually do it in the oxygen. They haven't I'd like to sort of see some news trickle in about restructuring of deals. But Harris needs to be spread out because he makes too much money. Right. to be spread out because he makes too much money. And the other one is Sionipua. Really? He makes a lot of money. He signed just last year, 3 years, 15 million. And he barely played with the back injury and he's old and he's got a bad back. I think they should just cut him. Hmm. Pua. Yeah, I think you could cut him. And then either re-sign him on the cheap or go out and get another fact nude. Play in the middle and have Ellis step in and actually like play this year. Do his job. Yeah, well Pua only played I think 20 something percent of all defensive snaps last year, which is not. That's not a lot. Not a lot. And a guy you're paying $5 million a year for, you know, not, not exactly what you want to see. Cool. Yeah, I totally agree. Let's go down the list quickly because we have about 10 minutes to wrap it up. Let's go down your top, your free agent, top, top 100s. Oh, well, this is just not my, it's not my list. It's not yours. The pro football talk. But we know what, we should just pick where they're going to end up. Alright, let's go. Let's go to like the top 15. We'll just see how far we get 10 minutes. Alright, so Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace Patriots. I think he's going the Pats. Yep. Really? Yep I think he's in our division, but I think he's going to the Dolphins really Offer him a lot of money lines defensive end Cliff. April. No fucking a no fucking way. I don't know where you go I don't know either. He's a four three guys Really a defensive end So he's got to go to a 4-3 team. I feel like the Lions might actually just re-sign him. He's pretty good. Uh, Giants receiver Victor Cruz restricted. Yeah, I don't think he's going anywhere Okay, well then he won't go anywhere. I think I'll just get a first round as the first round tender and that's it Packers I don't think he's going anywhere. I think he's just gonna get a first round tender and no one's gonna no one's gonna touch it Like no one's gonna want to give up their first round pick for Cruz that's just I would actually like if I had a if I was picking at like 24 Yeah, why not? If i'm the niner if i'm the niners or the packers or whatever i'll i'll draft victor cruisin the first round Yeah, and pay him whatever um Packers wide receiver greg jennings Um, he will and he's number four on this list. Yeah, I think he's trying to think where he could go
05 Jake: I think he's a Patriots candidate. No, I think he could go I think he swaps out he goes over the Steelers You think he's a Steelers candidate? I think he could be a Patriots candidate. That's always have money somehow Dolphins tackle Jake long If he hadn't been so hurt last year outside the Jets But it's not coming to jets. No, um, and he's not gonna play right tackle who needs help attack like maybe cowboys Maybe the cowboys. Huh? I was thinking maybe the packers and the packers or or um, uh Um, what was the team I was thinking of? Uh the lions Oh, yeah, see in the lines, maybe okay Eagles corner Dominic Rodgers Cro-Marty Not the best corner with the last name Cro-Marty I have no clue no I imagine he'll just re-sign with the Eagles. Yeah, that's my guess. This is an intriguing day We sign this guy they already signed him. They're gonna reset. They're gonna write the Ravens linebacker Paul career He's like they can't lose him now. They're losing all these other dudes. They can't lose him Uh, Bengals tackle Andre Smith. My guess is he'll just be with the Bengals. Yeah, I don't know what that one. Pat's corner at Kieb Tlaib. Gone. I don't know. We're gone, right? He's gonna go somewhere. Yeah, I don't know. Who needs corner help? Maybe Falcons. Maybe the people are going after Reavis, the Falcons. Maybe the Falcons are the Niners. Niners. Maybe the Jets will trade Reavis and sign Kieb Tlaib. Ugh. Pat's wide receiver Wes Welker. Patriot not going anywhere right that's the whole yeah because they're cutting all their receivers. I would like to sign Julian Edelman He's a free agent That's not bad. I would like to sign him away from the past because he's not a guy away from the pads We asked you they always sign our little white guys. I want one of their little white guys nice nice Let's skip to some names we know here. Rams receiver Danny Amendola. Slot receiver. The problem is he's hurt constantly. Maybe back to the Cowboys for him. Really? Started there. Maybe. I'm trying to use a slot receiver. I think he could use a good slot receiver. I don't know. Alright, let's keep going here though. Here's one I want for the Jets. What? Texans outside linebacker Connor Barwin. Really? Yeah, he's good. I just don't think they have the money to sign him. Yeah. Uh, Pats tackles Sebastian Ballmer. I wonder if they'll keep him or let him go. A lot of the Pats offensive line I think is free agents. Jared Cook, I know, they talked about it. What's he going back? No, they're not sure what he's doing. He was trying to get maybe tagged as a receiver, but they never tagged him. Anybody else on this list, you see that you just play who would you want on the Jets?
00 Jake: Who I want? I want Mike Wallace and Victor Cruz. Okay. And then you have Sanchesto and... Yeah. Okay. Who do I want realistically that we can afford? I have to go way down in the list. I don't think we can really... nope. He doesn't fit our seats. I want Reggie. I'm sorry. I'll take Reggie Bush. I want Reggie Beach. He would fit our West Coast offense perfectly. Give me a rate. Ed Reed? Catch the ball. I don't think Ed Reed's got much left in the tank. No, I don't think he's got a whole lot left in the tank. Look, number 36, Justin Cheyenne. That's the first jet, number 36, Dustin Teller. Um, let's see who else is on here. We could get John Abraham back. He would fit our system. As would Richard Seymour. Like if you... Those guys are old though. Yeah, but you know, one year deal, two year deal. If you lose DeVito, pick up Richard Seymour. Number 47, Jets. Laurent Landry. Laurent Landry. Let's go down where we can actually afford people here. down towards the bottom of the list. Raiders Tyner and Brandon Myers might be a good replacement for Keller as would Delaney Walker perhaps. Let's see who else is on this list here number 76 a Mod Bradshaw. Although I think we've already said we don't want him, but again that's coming from a source. The source not to be named? The source not to be named. I love 83 Charles Woodson. I would love to just say Charles Woodson, you're gonna play safety. Because he does, he can. He can. And you're gonna blitz off the slot, and you're gonna, you're just gonna be our blitzing safety. number 93 Jets running back Sean Green number 93 97 brand more number 100 Colts quarterback Drew Stanton former Jett yeah so there's been rumors that the Jett's worked out for rumors is true they just worked out Garard yes we worked him out We have not signed him, which is not a good sign for him. No, not a good sign for him. Because now he's going and talking like, oh, I wouldn't mind going back to the dolphins. Aren't the chiefs going to cut, uh, what's his face? Brady Quinn has been linked to the Jets. No, but not, not Brady Quinn. They're going to cut the other one because they just traded. Yeah, because they traded for Alex Smith. Yeah. So, I think, I think actually if you, if you told me like, all the people, Castle's the guy I'd want. Why? Because... He's, he could get, I think he got for cheap. He's the only guy that's big payday. He stunk it up last season. But I think he is a guy, if you put him in the right, you saw when he was in the pass, they put him in the right position, he did pretty well. I feel like he's a guy that like has some upside but isn't like, and could pressure Sanchez and actually knows how to play and has played with some good teams. times. He's the guy I'd want that's that's Matt castles your backup. Yeah, or challenger really challenge. I'll enjoy that Yeah, yeah, don't you think I mean whatever I wouldn't really start I wouldn't really feel like one, you know, it's super comfortable with him taking over why not taking over one
00 Jake: Game of the game with not really well not we sit on complete loser. Yeah, but he's gonna lose her dead team loser dead team all right with I mean he's had he's had some weapons around him Jamal Charles Dwayne Bowe. He's getting sacked every five minutes it doesn't matter how many well that's his fault or is that the offensive line fault or whose fault is that how can Jamal Charles run for how can they lead the league in rushing but not you know but he gets sacked every time. We'll go over to the Vikings and you'll have your answer because sometimes you just hand it off and When because they know when you're not gonna have that's the quarter in ten third times. That's the quarterback's fault. I mean look You know you can look at when what is the next path you can look at well, that's true You can look at when McElroy started his game and got sacked 11 times It's the line really that bad Then get sacked 11 times ever well, but he gets 11 times But 11 11 is like on the quarterback at that point I mean beyond five is usually on the court There's there are certain circumstances where it's not and it's just that defense has your number right like I've seen you know Aaron Rodgers gets sacked eight times and a half and hey Seattle had then had their number that day But what was a like for I in sacked? Yeah, like it happens right it happens, but But most of the time, if you're getting sacked like 8, 10, 12 times, that's on the quarterback now getting rid of the ball. Like not knowing what to even do with the ball. Like what they're even seeing. Should I sit on it or throw it? Or what are the news we got? Not a whole lot. I mean, that's it. That's it. I mean, free agency is going to start. So like in the next week or two, there's going to be some serious, you know, news that's popping up and then you inch up on the draft and then. And the season's really like a full year now. So here's our list of potential free agent targets for the Jets. Brady Quinn, Matt Moore. This is from ESPN New York. Yeah. What do you think? Either one of those. I'd rather have Matt Moore. I'd much rather have Matt Moore. Much better player. And Brady Quinn's just a loser. Jake Scott, guard, Eagles. Oh, nose morning wigs system. Felix Jones. No, thank you. Massaquah? What evs? He'd be like, okay, another crappy like, chas shillings. Jim Leonard back? No. I'd take Jimbo. Yeah. Well, back up safety, why not? Glover Quinn safety? I don't know who he is. Uh, Texans. Alright, he's on a good defense. Yeah. Alright boys, I think that wraps up the underneath episode. And ladies. We know there's ladies out there. There's one out there she left us review through the day. It was really nice. I remember them saying. Yeah, well there's one. We appreciate it lady. That's it for our podcast this week. We'll probably be back next week because we'll probably be back to the end of the next week with the free agentee craziness. Maybe we'll do something.
