19 Jake: Welcome to Jet Kingdom Podcast, longest running New York Jets Podcast. Ever! My name is Jake. That's what Christian Hackenberg says when he throws a touchdown. Justin: It hasn't happened yet, how do you know? Jake: I'm just hoping. My name is Jake, joining me 475, nope, 278 times in a row. Not just... Justin, how much did you last name? I almost read the title of the podcast. All these things that we don't do in this podcast. Justin: All right, dude. How are you? Fuck shit. Fuck. Okay. So now I know which podcast I'm in. Right. Right. Duck. Duck butter. Buttered. Alright, let's do this. What are we doing? We're doing a podcast. Why is this called not so luck? Oh, not so lucky I didn't finish it. Oh, not so lucky. Got it. Alright, cool. So Training camp. Yeah, that's thing. Preseasonal game one training camp or he's talking about one hard knocks Have you been watching? Nope, because you told me there's a game of thrones Little game of thrones You shouldn't watch it So I should start when is the last episode of Game of Thrones? There are two remaining So there's this Sunday and then I believe there's just one more after and then I think they but they skip a week And why would they skip a week because sometimes they let a whole week go before they do the last one now Yeah, they do that almost every time. Well, I mean that would depend on Labor Day And when Labor Day is because I think no they would not skip the week Jake: That's it. All right. Well, we had a we have pretty we have tree training camp going on. We had one preseason game We saw the future Of the of the New York Jets quarterbacking crew. We sure did We saw we actually saw on the field the starter for the 2017 season We had to because it was one of those three dudes. One of those three dudes. Although it sounds like one of those dudes is literally not gonna do it. Justin: But your guy who you're ready for, not so ready. I'm so ready for Petty. But yeah, he sounds like he's regressing badly. That's because he's not a good football player. Oh, is that why? Well, it's because he's not good. Yeah, he's really bad. Oh. Alright, thanks, dude. So he's so he's good. No, that's the opposite of what he's the opposite of good. He's bad bad Jake: Well, let's talk about it. Let's talk about the Okay, let's talk about the game. It was and I was there were you there I was not real fans attend. Yes. Well, we'll see who goes to the other one
01 Jake: nobody I'm trying to pull up like a score thing on it. I got it. You got a thing on one here Justin: Cuz I'm trying to do everything on the drive to do everything for your stupid ass. Pretty much there click that Alright, so I got one we won. It was seven three very inspiring I mean we have to at least start the Jake: Like the warning cuz like in preseason if you can't score More than on the first drive That means for the entire rest of the game after the first drive you did not score a frickin point good news Justin: Didn't give up a touchdown This game was 7-3. This could be a two Marios played two series. Yeah hurt you got pounded No, no, no, no, it was back up that Alex Tanny got lit lit up Oh my, that actually got the crowd pretty like the four people that were there. All those who were actually there were like, whoa, that dude got lit up like he really got lit up. And even the first touchdown drive that was led by starter Josh McCown was a little lucky because There was a penalty called on a play that would have ended the drive Where they called it as like a low hit on the quarterback where he got sacked Oh really it was like second in something and he got Sacked and it would have ended up being like third and 25 and they would have just you know ran the ball or whatever Well, no the Jets had the ball and They just called like a Low hit you know like when you hit the quarterback low or whatever But the guy came in from the side and just with his arm just sweeped his legs down. He just fell It was a good sack to me look good if it was a call the other way I would have been screaming maybe not in the preseason, but in regular season But I got a little break there and then boom he just you know nailed Apparently our number one receiver, Robbie Anderson for a 53 yard. Play like the next play, right? Got down inside the five and eventually scored a touchdown. Uh, throwing the ball, which was kind of fun and interesting. I think they're going to be throwing the ball a lot this year. You can already tell it's a total West coast offense. It's a dink and dunk. It's a five yards at a time. It is really, we haven't. I mean, I know Marty. It takes high accuracy, though. It doesn't. Hackenberg was super accurate. No, the whole game, he was super accurate. I mean, he ended the game 18 of 25, which is 72%. And two of the two of those incompletions were absolute drops that hit guys like right in the chest. The fullback and my boy, Jalen.
00 Jake: Who dropped one I heard he dropped a beautiful one in like a touchdown in training camp. Maybe he'll get rid of those drops on his four weeks of sitting on his ass. Justin: Because he's useless. You cannot well you lose Quincy Nunua. That's true. It's too bad. Too bad. But he was super accurate, Hackenberg. He was very decisive. He was super accurate. Everything was very simple. He did make some good passes. He was an excellent quarterback from, you know, between the 20 and the 40, the other 40. So like he was very capable of gaining about 30 to 40 yards on each drive, but then was always kind of stalled. We never... even attempted a field goal. Actually we did, we missed a 55 yarder which I thought was smart. I mean pretty soon you go for it. Kick, hey we have a kicking competition like dude go make a 55 yarder because I gotta know if you can win the game or not. Win the job. Yeah I gotta know if you can make that kick or not. During the regular season with this team we're probably punting but that's fine. Catanzaro you got out there got a shot and missed it. Whatever next next week. We'll see the other dude that they could not run for shite No, no, no, but you know, we know what number running sort of that playing or Tain or Powell played So the the starting running back was doing kid that no no more Morris No, Elijah McGuire. Well, he's the he's our draft pick this he started Yeah, he didn't play for much. Well, he started. He had six carries for seven yards. Yeah, he had one. He had one really good run. He had two really good runs that were called back by holding penalties, which might explain why they were good runs. Right. But everybody looked sort of decisive like he was what wasn't happening was. Running up the middle where everything was being bounced and I think that's somewhat of a recipe for disaster unless you have excellent speed And he didn't look like he was a super speedster All the all the passing game was short quick decisive It did it did work out Hackenberg look pretty good for you know not Having seen him in a year, right? Jake: You mean it's gonna make you jump up for joy Justin: No, but because zero touchdowns zero inception. Well yards per attempt five. I mean that's brutal. That's pretty low Jake: It's just but so I think we've been hearing a it was the simplest a simple playbook. It was like simple. It's like go back make two reads and throw the ball. That's it. Don't even try to make three. Don't read the Justin: defense. There were a couple of good third down passes that he made though. He made some nice looking throws on third down which made where it was like third and eight and he had to actually throw the ball to get eight yards. He made some good throws like one that I recall it was um
04 Justin: It was to, uh, gosh, number three, Chris Harper. Whoever that guy was, he made like a really nice, uh, he made a slant, a slant play like 14 yard catch on the third down. Um, so he had a couple of nice throws in there to, to a couple of the guys. He did hook up with Robbie Anderson on a play, I think. Uh, number one receiver, number one receiver, apparently. But once he was off the field there was no speed there was no separation it was dunners But I will say this I Don't recall a Park and fall I don't recall an offense And I think what we'll see once maybe in game three once we have to really have a game plan in there Or maybe we'll wait till we see it in the regular season. You're gonna see Jake: Design Justin: offense coordinators, not the last one but the one before that. I thought of like... Well, Morning Wike was supposed to be like a... Right. We didn't end up running a West Coast offense, I don't think, with Morning Wike. Really? Like, if you recall, the Pennington offense was very much... and Jake: the defense. I mean, I so Fuck you, CBS, for I'm T-Vowing this game because I had a prior family commitment. De on. You fuck you fuck that's PGA championships a big thing So I missed I missed the first drive miss the touchdown drive, which of course I saw him in highlights, but When I did get on I was watching the defense and I think like the first play I watched Was watching a watch or the big cat just come through and just demolished. So he's a beast Justin: Holy shit, Leonard Williams is is no no flippin joke Marcus May looked good. I was trying to watch Marcus May and watch Jamal Adams. I was trying to just watch these safeties and it was quite fun because they both neither of them have a set position. They can both do what each other do which
06 Justin: is fun because now you don't know where. those safeties are going to be and where they're going to line up and both of them can even line up in the slot and cover dudes. It was actually interesting to see the defense speeding around a little bit. I think they're going to be good. I thought it before I saw them. Jake: You thought we thought we have a second when we play the a wrap and how many did they finish with but No, really? How many did they finish with? Here's the number that just jumps off the stats. QB hits. 11. Justin: Yeah, we're gonna knock some people around. Jake: If you hit any quarterback left, nah, I ganted. They put in the backup and the backup guys. Justin: Well, we had our backups, too, remember. Jake: Yeah, but I think at that point, we had a, who was it that hit him? Stanford. Okay. Justin: No, we knocked their quarterbacks around quite a b you Jake: Tennessee is supposed to be a good team Isn't this your team you're going all in on this year? I like tennis Could not score a touchdown against the Nite Week one Couldn't make it happen Alright, do you want to pick a Is it too soon to pick Fools and Nites? Too soon. Too soon. Justin: There's not enough there. Jake: I didn't see, I think, I'm just trying to think of like, I didn't see Josh McGowan. I don't think I saw enough. I'm not rooting for him at all. Like I want him to not play. I think it's a waste of time. They keep saying he's the weak one starter. I'm like, that's just the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. we're back in time and I'm like when they're playing you know goddamn Fitzpatrick I'm like stop this. He's not gonna lead us to anything good we're just gonna put ourselves another hole they're gonna do the exact same thing with Justin: Josh McGown. Let me take the opposite just um... Hackenberg, short start, week one. But what I want him to do is earn it, is win it. And what he did in week one of preseason was he didn't lose it. He didn't win it. He didn't score any points. He didn't lose it. Right, but he had a shit ton more time than on the field. He played for the most half game. I know, but he still didn't lose it. He played an efficient game. He just didn't score. Did never running game was playing behind backups was playing with backup receivers most of the time What he didn't do is lose the battle and your conspiracy theory is that? Jake: Because of his false start fumble they pulled him and that's right and that petty wasn't even gonna play
04 Jake: Because I saw him with a baseball cap on the whole time Yeah, and then all of a sudden is helmet on like well, I'm sitting there. I'm sitting there with our our buddy Justin: Yeah, and I don't know and We're watching the game and from our seats, I see Hack and- he's like- he's got his arm up, he's like waving to you. I think he's waving because he has no fucking clue because he has no fucking clue. Ha! I don't know this but I say to him, I'm like something- something's wrong. Something's happening. This is gonna be bad. Then they break the huddle and He's got his head on his swivel. He's kind of like calling like, you know Who's the mic or whatever and all of a sudden the ball snapped? So he clearly Something was miscommunicated Everywhere right and again at that point. I mean they had r I don't think he was going to be pulled punch and saved him getting hurt. Jake: Maybe I mean if the line is like okay good you don't want penny to get hurt why not there they might cut him Justin: They might put him on the they might put him on the pipe practice squad fine third string you need three So What I what I'm looking forward to is Hackenberg winning the job and also McCown being given opportunities to lose the job. Because in all reality, the guy should lose the job. And if he doesn't. Well, he's not going to lose the job because he's a better player right now. A guy who that's not apparent to me. I mean, just look from what I've read. If he's better. Reports again. I don't want you to play. Even if I will remind you, that's what the same thing is last. His last 24 starts. He's one, two of them. So if he's better, then Hackenberg sucks. That's all. Cause if you think a guy who's 2 and 22 and his last 24 starts is better than anyone else on the team, , then they're fucked. Well, who cares? He's got rookies all over the field. That's the, that's the whole point. Why do you throw him out there? Cause you can't just give Hackenberg the job. I don't know why. Because you can't. You have to make him win it. He has to win the job. And I'll just give it to him come see let him win the job go earn it I think it'd be very hard hard win Why would he not work hard anyway? Because chip on shoulder. Win job. These are the kinds of guys who end up being very good in the NFL. Guys who are just, here you go, hand the keys. Do you know who won the job?
01 Justin: and won the job. You know how? By fucking outworking a dude who they just spent big money on. Who handed the job? Dak Prescott, because he wasn't hurt. He wasn't handed the job. He was a bird stringer. He was out of the city, given the job, because there was literally no one else on the roster. Handed the job. Wasn't handed. He went out there and played hard and did great. Jake: I don't. That thing. I think it's too hard with the limited amount you see them, again we see them in preseason, But to say, you know, if next game, let's say Josh Mc comes out and throws an interception or something, and Hackerman comes out and maybe plays half or whatever and has two touchdowns. Are you still gonna be able to say one is better than the other? I think that Josh Mcowen right now, if you just were gonna say who should start week one... to win games, fine. Josh is probably the better quarterback, but that's not the point. That's not why we took away the whole roster and got rid of everybody who has any value on the whole fucking team. We didn't do it just so we could have a 37 year old once again, go trotting out and try to win an extra few games so we can miss the playoffs for another two years. Like That's not the point. The point is to try to find the guy in the future. So play the guy first fucking many times as you talk. He needs all the, especially with this shit about practice. Like, they don't get half as many practice. They don't get two a days. Nothing. So it's like this guy needs experience. The only way Christian Hackenberg is going to become good or we're going to see him get good is he just plays a lot. I know. Justin: I want him to earn it though. Well, I don't want it to just be handed. I just think that it's not enough. Neego, Hack Kid's yours. Like he has to be better than McCon. But he's not. He's not now. Jake: You think he's going to get better in three weeks. I think he needs to show that he's better. Justin: Right now you think which one's better right now. They're probably equal. No, they're not equal. They're both learning new offense. I know, but one actually has 15 years to experience. Yeah, but do you know what's... nice about McCown he actually It was very clear watching them on the sideline that he did not know about being a Jake: No one could... But Fitz came back and he wasn't like on the back up. Justin: He was coming back to be the starter. That's right. Which was a mistake. The whole thing was a mistake. McCown's like, I'm cool. I don't care. I'm cool. It's fun seeing Fitz on Hard Knocks. Oh, that's right. He's on there. Do you know who I've got a complete change of heart on? Who? Jamis Winston.
00 Justin: Good guy now? Wow. Jake: Yeah. Justin: Really? What a leader. Really? Really. You're going to be very impressed with him. OK. I can't wait. Well, I'll watch it. I mean. It's his third year in the league and I'm looking at this kid and I'm like That's who I want my quarterback to be Wow, no joke. I mean his his leadership qualities and Everyone just loves him and they're all like like even like joe mccoy who's been on the box for a long while now And is their best player has been in all pro is like and they drafted him and they started him Jake: He didn't win the job. They fucking handed. He was the number one overall pick. Yeah, and and marcus mariota They drafted him and they handed in the job like Handing the job. I think I think if you look back at what's his stupid. I can't wait for you to see on la uh golf goth Terrible name dummy. It was dumb He was a better player starting this year Justin: Yeah, you watch all last year you watched hard knocks and you saw how he couldn't call a play in the. I eat But you got a chance to play in a huddle experience if you can't call a play in a hot experience Jake: You only have so much time you you run a business. Do you not? Justin: No, you run a business maybe Do we hire people? And when they're just hired and they don't exactly know what they're doing, do we put them on big projects? To do? Yes. Right away? They run the show. They get on and they run the show? Actually not. Jake: These people have had... The stakes are higher for those people. So, that's it. Thanks for watching. Bye. Years and years and years and years and years of playing football. We have the same thing. I'm nope. Yeah, nope We do not even close we do not even close though Justin: No, no, these people three years none of these knowledge none of these people have played NFL football. No Jake: Thanks for watching. Justin: I'm Jake: Yeah. I mean, you look great. You didn't do anything. I was like a maze ball. What is the guy picked up in the Cowboys because of a mistaken identity weirdness, like whatever again? It's just terrible. Have your first name be lucky and then break your foot in preseason because not lucky not so not so All right, so now we got a game coming up we do we're playing Detroit Justin: And if you watch some of the games last night, we're recording this on a Friday. There were games last night on Thursday There were some teams... Oh, what was the game I was sort of flipping in and out of? It was on ESPN as like a Monday Night Football game. Oh, it was the Bucks. The Jags.
00 Justin: They were playing their starters well into the second quarter. That makes sense. So this is the game where you see the starters play, at the very least, the entire first quarter and into the second quarter. And I'm excited to see what this defense can do against this Detroit offense. If they're going to play Stafford and crew for the first, you know, let's say three to four series. I really want to see what our defense is made of because that's a good test. Thanks for watching! Jake: Detroit's a good offense. Yeah, and they they win. It's also a very similar offense. I I just want again with all preseason games First and foremost no injuries. I need no injuries. No injuries. That's keen. That's like well It's just gotta say no injuries. Nobody important. I don't want anybody literally don't want injuries. Secondly, I Just want to see them give him enough time, Hackenberg enough time, to show what he can do. I think what what I'm a little scared about for this season is, and I've been saying this for so long, I'm scared about the middle ground where everybody does just enough not to be terrible but not enough to be good and The excuse train comes out, I don't know, somewhere around December 5th. And it's like, well, his number one receiver was Robbie Anderson. So how could he be good? He's got, you know, an old tight end and a rookie tight end. So how could he be good? His O line was made up of, you know, scrap metal parts. So how could he be good? He didn't have Adrian Peterson behind him. So how could he be good? In, in fairness. Justin: The only one of those excuses that is legitimately valid is the receiver. No, the line is important. The receiver thing is really important. If Robbie Anderson's your number one... He is. That's a joke. Well, so then how are we evaluating this kid? I don't know how you can. Jake: He just throws the Robbie, either Robbie Anderson turns into a good wide receiver, but he's number one. Justin: Well Robbie Anderson's gonna put up stats cause he's gonna. He's the number one. Cause no one's gonna care to like treat him as a one. They're just gonna play defense. They might have nine guys in the box, literally, and be like, okay, beat us. Have fun. Try it. Right. Jake: And that's when your your line that's when your line is very important because he's not have more than 2.2 seconds to try to throw the fucking ball Justin: Very scary that Robbie Anderson is the best wide receiver on this team Right the undrafted free agent from last year right who kind of played what four or five games? Maybe no he played the whole year he had starting Well, he had like 600 receiving yards. I mean, that's actually like a legitimate season. Jake: It was mostly towards the end, though. He really started playing him towards the end more and more. As I'm sure.
00 Justin: Yeah, when Decker missed the majority of the season. He played. I mean, the guy played. Anunwa played the whole year. Marshall played the whole year. He was like the third receiver. Now he's number one. It's pretty scary. Well, again. Because he's not that good. Well, he's also still very thin. He put on some weight, but he is still pretty thin. He's still super thin. Jake: So I'm looking for, so that's kind of my worst nightmare is this, that we come out in a middling team, but without enough to, but like we've seen enough of Hackenberg, but the storyline becomes he didn't have the weapons. So then. He definitely doesn't have the weapons. It's not even a question mark. I mean, the best scenario, I'm put on my happy go lucky hat. My best scenario is, without fucking weapons, he still does well. And like, shows us that he- Again, I want Christian Hagenberg to be the starting quarterback of the Jets, and be great for 10 years. Like I want- Because without that, we're just not gonna be a team that does anything. So I want him to be the guy. I don't want Josh McGown to be the guy because he can't be for 10 years. What happened to Petty? Justin: I'm ready for Petty? I thought you wanted Hackenberg to start for the next 10 years. That means Petty can't play. I want to have a quarterback. I'm in the green and white. Jake: With a name on his back. Who's good? Who's not a fucking washed up goddamn... Perennial has been. Justin: Might have to wait another year or two, my friend. Jake: Alright, well, anyway, I am rooting for Hackenberg to do the best he can and to show us that he's awesome. Because again, my goal is to go into next year's draft and have the top needs on the draft board not be quarterback. If it says anything else but quarterback, it's a win. It's a win because then if they go, Hackenberg did well enough last, this is all I want this to, I want what Mayoch to be sitting there. Hackenberg did well enough last year to prove that he can start this team. So now they're looking for weapons for him. The Jets are talking about drafting that great wide receiver in the first round. Awesome. I'd be like, yes, thankfully. Oh, what, we're not gonna draft another defensive player again, again, again, again, again. We're gonna go grab fucking one is massive like an old L Beckham kind of guy. Yeah, I want that guy on my team Help him make him better Justin: Sorry, a little rant Beckham could be a free agent right he wants to be the highest-paid player in the NFL He does he's such an ass. He is an ass. He and the marshall are gonna ruin that locker room Oh, and then Eli who's not known for like poor Eli is gonna be like little bug they're gonna squash him. Those two assholes in the same locker room is a recipe for disaster. What else you looking for in the game? I also Jake: want to see these other guys we drafted start to play. Like I want to see Leggett like play and get thrown to. Like I want to see a fucking tight end on our team get used. One play for one catch? Great. He had a drop. Justin: But like that's I'm I'm this is the guys I'm you know the very Jenkins supposedly is having a pretty good camp
03 Justin: So lost all this weight. He's gone. He's the one who's he's the one who's like the tight end who's gonna Maybe look good. I'd like to see Stewart get a little more playing time. Yep. He's he played in like the second half of The game he was not this guy Hanson sort of jumped Over I think he's a undrafted Free-agent guy. He was like the third receiver just scary Like starting the game here. All right, they had shroom peak out there, too So like you got a seventh rounder from last year and two undrafted free agents from last year as your top three Receivers this year. Yeah It's not a good situation. Honestly, I think one of the... I know whatever, no one likes it, but... Jake: Jalen Marshall is still one of the best guys. If you weren't gonna sit for the first week, it would be Anderson Marshall. That would be the one, too. It's just he's gonna sit out for the whole week. Justin: Hey, you got Anderson and Marshall and Peek? Yeah. Well, that's it. Peek was late round driving. Jake: So we go for two free, two rookie free agents. Justin: You're literally repeating what I just said. Oh, I wasn't paying attention to you. I know. So thanks. Chad Henson, kind of excited about him. Did you say that? Yes, I said he was the undrafted free agent for this year that actually looked halfway decent on the field. But again, I, oh, we picked up Kendall Tompkins again. Great. How many times have we picked up and dropped that guy? I don't care. He sucks. Like 100 times. He lost a sack. Fucking game against the bills two years ago. Um, I Think you're gonna see Blau Powell in the slot or forte in the slot One of those two guys are gonna be used as receivers Jake: often Justin: They're gonna catch a lot of balls right those were running backs are gonna catch a lot of balls Great because instead of running it and like getting stuffed. They're just gonna throw it for four yards to these guys Jake: Yeah, looking at... Yeah. Elijah McGuire is a big boy. Yeah, he's a big dude. I mean, he's five ten. He's five ten two fourteen. Matt Forte is six two two eighteen. Right. He's got thick legs. Yeah, he's gonna punch through some people. Justin: Well, he wasn't. He wasn't breaking tackles. I know he wasn't. I think that's a line. But whatever. No, this is my guy this season. This is my guy. This is my guy. I'm picking the guy. Right? You know what I'm looking? Right tackle. Who's gonna start? Okay, because there's a couple of candidates and it'll be interesting to see who shines. There's three guys who could start at right tackle. You got Kweli, who I think actually started. Um, you've got Izzalana, you got the kid that we drafted last year who, uh, whose name is escaping me. Shit. Jeff Adams? No, wait, last year? Brandon Snell. Yeah. And he did not start, and I thought he was gonna be the starter, but that didn't happen.
03 Jake: And what about our and then defense I'm always I mean I agree I'm seeing that this could be a really it could be good if they if the attitude can keep up if the team thing They were doing sprints on the side long you saw that they were doing like all together Justin: Stand I was watching him. We're like what's going on? Oh, there's friends doing sprints. There's those fun Jake: What I love about this team this year that I'm kind of enjoying is a little bit of the, the nobody thinks we can even win a game. And I like that. It's the Belichick model. Right. Justin: Nobody believes in us. For some reason, nobody ever believes in the Patriots. According to Bill Belichick. For some reason, it's always something. It's we cheated. We did this. We cheated again. We did this. We cheated for the third time. You know, there's always some cheating involved and nobody believes in us. And Tom Brady's out for four weeks this year. They should have him sit the first six weeks. Like Tommy, you're 40. Jake: Just sit. Justin: Don't worry about it. Don't worry. Just take the first six. Well, you can have the last 10 and then you can play in the playoffs. Jake: And no news flash, but Leonard Williams is just... He's just looking like a bear and bear one of the best things we ever did. Taking the guy that he absolutely did not need at all. That everybody's like, huh? Except for Justin: best bear and he is just looking like... And isn't that like a good omen for the Adam's pick? Yes. Right. Yes. Although that was more of a need because we had, you know... Trippy big tripster. But also perhaps the best player in the draft. Yep. At six. Yep. Isn't that a nice little one-two cornerstone? Yep. Front and back. Of course, let's not talk about wide receivers who, like, we have just... Well, you know what? Who are we drafting at wide receiver sixth? In the draft I don't know that would have made a bigger impact than what Adams is gonna do for the next 10 years No, 10 years is a long time on any team, but whatever. Yes, I get you Anyway, lots of fun stuff to watch also if he's a leader that he's made out to be Jake: This is gonna be a defensive led team. Of course. It's kind of defensive led team for Leadership wise that's not always been the case when you I think last year when it was Marshall and Decker and Fitzpatrick, they were the heart of the team. They led the team. There's no one on the offensive side that has any experience that's gonna lead this team. This team is gonna be, it's like the Ray Rice thing, or not Ray Rice, Ray Lewis, right? He was the leader of the team. I could see the Adams and the Williams and even Wilkerson becoming. the leaders of the team. Don't dismiss DiMario Davis' leadership qualities. Okay, I will not. I'll try not to. All right, anything else we got to talk about? No, we got to go. Oh, yeah, well, we got the Jet Kingdom Pingo member to join in on Yahoo. If you can hit me up on Twitter at Jet Kingdom
00 Jake: if you want the code to get in there. And of course, the Jet Kingdom Fantasy League. I think everybody's coming back, so there's no openings. Although if you're not coming back, tell me you're not coming back, please. The draft has been set, and this year, for all those who want to know, we are doing a... We're doing IDP. We're doing IDP, individual defensive player, because there's no offense you'd want to put on your team. Same rules apply, though. Can't play them against... Can't play them against... Can't play a... pagers defensive player against the jets while they play the jets so you have to swap out your defensive players she'll make the draft Justin: interesting more interesting much more interesting yeah much because like the jets kicker won't go in the first round maybe it's actually like more right players well the defense usually goes one two like on the second or third say when you open up the defense to individual Jake: players there's more now in the pool or It's just like I don't care about crap about defensive plays. I'm just going to stack my box with all jet like non-jets players and then I'll pick up some fucking safety, some fourth string safety. And that's what I'm talking about. Right. But right. It's kind of like, I don't really care. I'll put Malden as my jet. That's. Clearly you're giving away how to win this league. Like that's obviously, I'm going to drive a leg it. Cause the only time I won this league, I did it with, with the, with the, I would Justin: be dumb because you can draft a normal tight end and do what you just said and have Malden and the difference between like what a real tight end will do. Plus Malden is going to be better than whatever your guy who you're going to pick at linebacker is going to do. And you're zero at tight end. Jake: Oh, I won't get zero, I guess we gotta catch. Justin: All right, we'll be back in. That won't be worth shit unless it's for 10 yards. Jake: Don't worry, we'll be back next week. Next week's tough for us, got some travel, but probably the week after also coming up. In a couple weeks, we'll do our picks episode. Until then, as always, Justin and Jake saying, let's go, Jeff. That's it. Thanks for watching. I'll see you next time. Bye! you
