24 Jake: Welcome to Jet Kingdom Podcasts. Longest running New York Dead podcast ever. Joining me... Because I am Jake. 299 times in a row. Oh my god, 299! It's like just slightly cheaper than three. Justin. It says, it's yeah, this one's the best one because it's 299. Don't want to buy 300. Right. You think it's 300 but it's not. It's 299. 299. Justin, how you doing? All right. A little tired. Uh, where'd you fly in from? Denver Colorado, how did I know you flew in from someplace? Justin: Cuz I've been sitting here across from you Jake: Oh, I'm talking to you for the last hour probably true anywhere in your Denver hat. No, there's a Colorado state of Colorado It's an awesome. All right, you must it's pretty stylish Justin: I'm going to reserve judgment. Actually that makes me believe it's very stylish cuz you're like mr. Style Jake: Yeah, that's what you're known as I am known as mr. Style. It's not jets Justin: I don't wear it if it doesn't have a Bud Light logo. I do not sharpie it over Jake: Then you don't wear it can't accept the free swag Justin: Anyway, this guy has a jet jacket. Yep. That has a Bud Light logo on the right or left sleeve Yep, that he took a black Sharpie too many times and just cuz it's a black jacket I just kept trying to get that logo off of it great as much as you try it still there No one says it's black sharpie over. No one's going to say it. They're going to be like, oh, you have a dirty jacket. Jake: It's a dirty, dirty jacket, dude. So it's one of my favorites. It's like it's that it's that right. It's like a great fall jacket. It is a good fall jacket. It's that that correct material. Yes, very warm. All right. So we were back. We're back. Stuff has happened. Let's talk about we're going to talk about the NFL. We're talking about OTA Minicamp. Talk about. What we're almost done with OTa's and they finished up the mini camp starts like next week I think yeah, so it is required The required ones I like those So okay, first of all, we'll start with oh are we getting political here? This is we followed the sport So the NFL released, you know, and all their brilliant pussies. Sorry. Go ahead. What were you going to say? And they took the issue. They released a new stance and new set of rules around the national anthem and you have two options. You can either go out and stand appropriately, which again.
01 Jake: I mean like one leg two legs and across the chest. What does that mean? Seems like you're just digging a hole for yourself or if you want to Justin: Demonstrate in some way you can say in the locker room. Do you know what's gonna happen guys are gonna go out and they're gonna turn around Jake: They're gonna stand there backwards. Well anything the point this is the dumbest thing ever First of all, they just this fire was smoldering And they just went and said, let's just go with some fucking gasoline and pour it on top of the fire. Let's just do that now. and in the wrong way. Yeah. They should gone the other way and said we support anybody's freedom of speech to do anything they want ever that's it. We support freedom of speech in this country. Justin: But they don't because they're the NFL and they don't actually support free speech because if you talk against them on a partner's airwaves Jake: ,, Justin: the NFL have to have the NFL have to have the NFL, and We're going to be talking about the national anthem. Jake: . Who's not out there? Who's not out there? Is everybody appropriately? If your hand over your heart. Are they locked in hands? Are they are they facing back? Justin: I'm telling you guys are going to just face backwards. It is so they'll figure out people want to. Jake: people who want to either not to say ruffle feathers but This one is so... tone deaf to the world that it's like, I just don't understand it. It's a bit antiquated. Justin: I think they're tying it to like they think that people aren't, you know, their ratings are down. Put better games on. you don't fucking play on Thursday night, Jake: and you'll have better ratings on Sunday. Is it possible your ratings are down because you're oversaturating the market?
00 Justin: Yes, because those Thursday night games, one, suck. Most of the time, they're shitty games. Two, guys get hurt, and then your superstars are not playing, which hurts ratings, by the by. And. And... Your Monday Night Games suck. Your prime time stuff sucks. They didn't. They didn't pay for it. Jake: And flexing a Monday Night with a tough. But that's the thing that Thursday Night Games is doing. Because there are good games. There's usually good division games. But like those are those would be a good one that like they get pulled away from the Monday night. We didn't line up. So they could have had a better divisional on a Monday, but they're not because they're on Thursday. Justin: I always think about when like and I've seen it. I feel like the Ravens and the Steelers play every year on a Thursday night. Probably. And that is a terrible, terrible game to have on a Thursday night. Because that could potentially be an amazing game any time. Because it's a great rivalry. I don't know how bad you get on those teams though. Yeah, they generally play really good games. Yep. That should never be played on Thursday because somebody is going to get hurt bad. Jake: No, I mean, spit. Justin: I'm not so much on the hurt because people are going to get hurt whenever. Yeah, but come on. You play a game. That's right. You play a game on Sunday, especially if you're on the road. You're on the road on Sunday. day. And then you have to fly back overnight. Get home either very early Monday morning or at some point on Monday. And then be ready to fly out on Wednesday to go play a game on Thursday. Nuts. Absolutely nuts. I just don't. Someone's going to get killed. Someone's going to get killed on the field. Killed! Jake: Killed I say and then they can protest that. Just don't understand don't understand this. It just it's completely tone deaf It kind of shows where the NFL owners are where their heads are I mean the lights coming out now that it's feeling very political. It's politically driven It's trying to appease somebody the whole thing is just Eagles being disinvited to the White House Well, we can talk about that. They apparently only one person was gonna go One single solitary person actually RSVPed. Everybody else was like, no, we're not going. So then instead of having one person from the Eagles show up, they then said, we're going to cancel it. This is just going to get worse. It's going to implode. Justin: LeBron came out, you know, sorry. NBA Finals are going home right now. I know that you have no idea and I don't care. But that's a thing. Yeah. And he, I think after game two. Because that's when this whole Eagles thing happened. He just came out and said, I think he did it without even conferring with the Golden State Warriors. He was just like, whoever wins, nobody's going to the White House. We don't even want the invitation. We're not going. Jake: I thought, I think the- Nobody's going. I think the NFL could have been on the right side of history on this one. I think they could have done a much better job. Instead, this is gonna, we're gonna look back in 10 years and all look at it like.
01 Jake: like New Coke. We're going to go look at you guys. What an idiotic thing. It's just it's so tone deaf. They just should have left it alone. They should have just said, you know, we support a constitutional right to do whatever or just say nothing. There was no reason to come out with Justin: any policy. So that's why Colin Kaepernick doesn't have a job still. And there are definitely quarterbacks in the league that he is definitely better than. So they the Jets. So they're going Jake: players who don't. Again, I love to figure out how you're gonna see how you're gonna see if they appropriate appropriate telling you people are gonna figure Justin: This out they're gonna go backwards. I roll my head. They're gonna backwards. They're gonna stand on one leg They're gonna my eyes they're gonna wear like wear a bandana over their eyes They're gonna do something some some somebody will figure something out and then it'll be the thing and it'll be the thing Jake: the thing. Like here's how to get around this. And then there'll be a fine and then everyone's gonna come to uproar about the fines. It's just so blocked with you. Anyway, so the Jets, Woody's brother, what he's like Christopher Johnson, came out and said that he would, he supports players, whatever they want to do, and that he would pay any fine that they got. The Jets are gonna cover it. I actually think, I didn't know, I think he personally was gonna cover it. Well on behalf of the Jets. Big difference. No, no, no. Not the Jets money. Justin: He's gonna Johnson and Johnson money. Jake: Anyway, I thought that was really good. Lots of money. The first time the Jets kind of like, we generally don't get involved in this stuff. We usually stay way the frick out of it. I was actually impressed. I was like, yeah, that you're on the right side of history on this one. That's good. And I, and everybody kind of like said, oh, good on you. Justin: It's kind of funny because the pressure is coming from... a place where the team owner is a part of. Like he's a part of the administration. Where the pressure is coming from and his brother's like, yeah, F that. Oh, I concurs on this one. Fuck that. We're gonna take. We're going to take that out of the fray. Jake: Now, the players could give him a lot of, I don't know what the fines are, and I don't know if they extend if I could get more fines over and over again. Justin: There's like a limit. I'll pay for five. It's like if everybody, every game. Oh, that'd be fun. I mean, pay us more, Woody. Yeah. Or Chris, or whoever's in charge. So anyway, that's the, so other than that, we've had. Although, I don't think we had any, the Jets. And the Eagles, by the way, the Eagles had zero incidents of protests last year. Zero. I think it came out. Jake: They had one year of one game of not the protest, but like the anti protest or whatever, the solidarity, the solidarity, whatever. Justin: But I don't recall there being an issue with any of the players on the jets at all kneeling. I mean, that was the big thing, kneeling. Right. Right. If you if you stayed in the back, they didn't. know or care or track or whatever. But again, the Eagles had one guy do it in a pre-season game and they actually just, he was cut, not for that reason,
00 Justin: but he just didn't make the team. But through the regular season, they didn't do any of the protesting or any of that stuff. They just didn't wanna go to the White House. Jake: This is why it's so stupid, because now this ramps it up. So now you're not only to do this to make a moment about it, You're now making, which is what, this is what this is about, it's about bringing attention to something. It's not, right, it's not, and I think that's where we all get out, it's not saying that these people who are protesting are protesting against Americans, and they're not protesting against, you know, veterans, they're protesting against a... things that are happening in America, but it's not about the military. And the national anthem isn't just about the military. Like, and that's where it gets all weird. People want to say it's about the flag. Well, there's also things that are going on in America that people can protest and they should be protesting. They're doing it. Now, by protesting, I'm now protesting against two things. I'm protesting against both. Whatever tragedy or injustice I feel is going on in America. I'm also protesting against this stupid NFL. So I can do a double fist this guy and then they're going to get a fine. Then it'll hit the news weirs and then there'll be the... Someone else will come in. It's just going to escalate. It's going to get bad. I don't know why. They just should have said... Listen. I don't know, it's just dumb. Anyway, let's talk about things that are not dumb. Do you feel that way? Let's talk about uh, OTAs and minicamps. So, oh, a lot of headlines coming out of, out of the things. I mean, there's been, you know, they only, interesting enough with the, with the, the new rules, you know, they don't train as much. Right. Um, so we had the rookie minicamps, and then we had minicamps, and um. Um... And really the stuff that's coming out, it's everybody's focused on every throw. You know, his 14 throws that he throws. Justin: I've been trying to find stuff and I haven't, I haven't even read anything about him. Jake: I'm not Donald. Oh, everything. His was first, his first, his mini, his rookie mini camp. It was a little shaky, like he's he's fumbled a snap and he. you know, through an interception or something. Again, this is like these drills. Who cares? You're throwing it to nobody. I think the thing that's coming out, they're splitting. Well, they're splitting up all the reps. That's good. We knew that was going to happen. The thing that's coming out is that Teddy Bridgewater looks good. Oh, yeah. He's a professional quarterback. He looks healthy and he looks good. Oh, good. And that is, I think, the news that I think we should talk about because. Now, there's talk of, look, if he looks good, is he trade bait? Because he's clearly not the long... He's trade bait. 100%. Or, frick it, make it through this year. I mean, so there's important things too. It's like, if you're the Eagles, you sign a backup who played well for a year, who had a great whatever, who's a... a quarterback who can take over, you can never have,
02 Jake: it's almost like in fantasy, you can never have too many running backs and never too many quarterbacks because they get hurt all the freaking time. Justin: But is Teddy on a one or a two year deal? One year deal. Jake: To me that's like not worth it. But in theory couldn't we tag him next year? You're gonna tag a quarterback? Yes, the Red Skidded did it for three years. Justin: Yeah, and they played him as a starter. I do not plan on having this dude play at all. What if he plays out of his mind? Jake: Great. What if he's the best quarterback on our team? Justin: For a year? Fine. Two years. No, then I'll be upset. Oh, well, okay, but if you're upset, that's fine, but it wasn't the truth. No, Sam Darnold needs to play. Jake: That's that. We've learned this lesson. How many times? You've learned it. I've been saying the same lesson. You were the guy who like, how many people just said- Justin: Sam D Just outdo them. Like, get out there on the field and make better throws. Get out there on the field during actual preseason games and drive our asses down the field. I would really, really like, uh, I mean, again, to trade away a player and to get something for... Jake: Oh, we forgot about the guy we traded away for a seventh rounder. We, uh, oh, we traded away Christian Ponder. Not Ponder, sorry. Christian Hackenberg. I don't know where Ponder comes from. Justin: Well, because you're talking about Teddy Bridgewater maybe. I don't know. Christian Hackenberg traded. For a conditional 7, which probably means he has to, like, make the roster or something. Yeah, probably throw a ball ever on the field, which he never did for us for two years. He'll never, ever throw the ball. He was very angry on the way out, too. They didn't give me a chance. They didn't tell me I needed to fix my throwing motion. Really dude, I do really feel like they gave him a chance other than the one preseason game They really did they let him win the job last year. They were basically handing it to him and he failed Yeah, so yes, I do feel like they give him a fair shot his rookie season They actually said to him you're redshirted. Yeah, that's fair They said the proper expert shouldn't have done it. Fine, but that's fair. Might not have been right, but it's fair. It's fair. It wasn't right. Shouldn't have done it. Should have played it. They said your red shirt. Yeah, they should have played them. But they didn't. And then the next year, they gave him every opportunity in the world. They didn't give any increases in. He was so atrocious. that it would have been a complete and utter setback for any other player on that team and on that roster. It would have been terrible, terrible, terrible. We would have ended a higher pick. Yeah, but guess what? We got our guy. Yeah, that's true. RYAN HUERMANN We wanted this guy. , let him play. So best case for Bridgewater is kind of what happened. Someone needs to get hurt. Someone good needs to get hurt. the top of the top of the top the top of the top
08 Justin: I'll tell you where he should land. Go ahead. Jags. That's the place he should land. Jake: Wardles has to get hurt, though. They don the Justin: If that's a tough one if your quarterback brings you to the championship game, yeah, you can't miss Jake: Exactly. That's why you don't just be like well this guy sucks you think oh, he's turned into a corner You have a guy who can only get you so far and your defense can only get so far Justin: and that's Teddy Bridgewater Teddy Bridgewater is never taken a team as far as as Wait the two years as blank portals did. Jake: I don't know. That's the deal I would make in a heartbeat. I'd be like, yes. Justin: I think we got to think about a team. The other one, Colts. Because I'll tell you, Andrew Luck, main playing. That's a good spot. The Colts is a good spot. I think the 49ers is a good spot. I think the Rams is a good spot. I feel like you got to go look out in the other in the other conference out west. I think those are the spots like even Seattle like those three teams you target and you say listen if your guy goes down you're done and you're like two of those teams are ready to make runs at the soup the Rams are ready to roll. And the same can be said about the Niners. They're like, we're ready to roll. They're they're both paper rolling. They're well, 49ers are paper, paper rolling. It's a paper team. But the Rams are ready to roll. Rams are a real team. And guess guess who else? I mean, this is going to sound ludicrous, but the Vikings. Yeah. Vikings. They can't, they just couldn't happen, but maybe it could. And it could also be the Giants, which sounds crazy too, but that's, that's Well, where his, that's where his. They have three quarterbacks on their roster now. I get it, but if they think they can be good None of those guys that are sitting behind Eli are gonna come in and win anything. No They're rookies. They've never played. The web didn't play well last year. Didn't play. Didn't he play? They've come in. I think he threw two pegs. He just got hurt? He came in one game. All right, Gino gets his chance, and then he ... Biggie and people get hurt. Maybe the Raiders. Maybe the Chiefs. The Chiefs would be a good one for Teddy Bridger on it. Like, there's no way to put a noise on a I can think of that we can trade this guy to. Get anything for it. A third, a fourth, a fifth, I don't care. Any single thing. I'll take it. I'll take it. Because I feel like, you know,
02 Justin: McCown is fine as a backup. He's the Mark Brunel backup. It's the backup you don't want to see. And if you do, you're fucked. So who cares? Jake: But that's, that's a thing where if you want to make the other argument, which is... Can you have too many quarterbacks? Does does I think I can make an argument that Sam Donald is so young How young is he Sam is 21? He went for a drink the other day. Just two days ago yesterday. I heard two days Oh, I've heard the Sam that we know you're listening. There really isn't There's no need really to get him like going very fast. There's quarterbacks who are distracted. 24, he's 21. Yeah. I'm going now. I agree. As a fan, as a season ticket holder, as a guy who wants to go sit in that stadium eight times this year and go on the two times, I want to see Sam. I don't even care if he sucks. I just want to see Sam. I want to see moments. I want to see, see one or two moments this season that make me go, yes. Justin: You know what I want? I want you to be on the like. Carson Wentz trek as opposed to the golf track. While golf played better last year than he did his rookie year, Wentz was an MVP candidate until he hurt his knee. And sure they had Nick Foles behind. I don't think we're quite where the Eagles were, but we might be where the Eagles were when Wentz was a rookie. him away to the Vikings, oddly enough. So I want him on that track, because next year, his second year, is the year that we're gonna be able to go, okay, let's go grab the guys for you now. Then you have a three year window. That's right, and that's what you need. Look what happened. They won the frickin' Super Bowl without wins. They would've won it with them. Thanks for watching. Jake: Thank you for watching. Justin: Oh, they never would have wanted me to win. Definitely. No doubt in my mind. Jake: But let's go. Let's play a scenario out. You have Sam Donald comes out and he just blows up. He is like the greatest. And he literally comes out, blows the team away, does great, and they put, you know, keep Teddy and keep McCown. And we get into, and we're actually winning games. We're like, you know, we're over 500. We're in the hunt for a playoff. Justin: We're like six and three or something. Jake: Yeah, or nine and three. Justin: Oh, well that's like way down the road. Jake: Well, let's go there. Nine and three. You're down the road. You're like sitting in the, like, we're not going to win the AFC East because we never can. Justin: But we got that last four games. Jake: But yeah, and all of a sudden he gets hurt.
01 Jake: Yep. And then you're like, shit, this team is on a playoff hunt. We can actually go to playoffs. At that point, if you had Teddy Bridgewater and you had McAllen, I would be like, shit. If we had that, and Teddy was looking great in preseason and everything, it's like, great. We actually have a guy who can play and maybe get us to the playoff and maybe Sam comes back or something like that. For McAllen, I know he's gonna lose two of those games. I just know he is, that's who he is. He's gonna lose two of those games. and his chances of making it through those four games are limited. So like, I get there's a feeling, but like having too many quarterbacks, I almost feel like... Justin: What I don't want to have happen is for... It's a snap, Teddy's... I mean, stop Sam's progression. I don't want his progression to... I want him to have more snaps, more reps. Totally. Start the first game. Like, go on, kid. Throwing you to the fire. It's Monday Night Football and you're on the road. Have a blast. Yes. Like, go get it. Because, I mean, yeah, Teddy needs to be seen in the preseason for sure. And it's for two reasons. It's for us to make our own assessment, not us, but the Jets. And for other teams to see him. And put him on tape and say, here, look, this guy can run whatever offense you want him to run. He ran the stuff he ran in Minnesota. He's running what he that he. He can throw the ball, he's healthy, which is probably the most important part to most teams, and I think he'd still be a backup. But if like- But he's also a first round- Yeah, he's a guy who's brought a team to the playoffs, and coming off that season, got brutally injured in the off season, which basically put him out for two years. So he was a young, up-and-coming quarterback, and he's still, what, 25, 26? He's just hitting his prime now. I don't think he's 25. He's gotta be at least 25. He's coming into the prime of what should be the prime of his career right now. And if he can play, awesome. The only issue is we've only got him for a year. Like, if they would assign him to a two-year deal... I'd be like more inclined to say, sure, let's see if Teddy can start the season. Jake: It's 26. Right, so. November 10th, oh, 25, November 10th. Justin: It'll be 26 in the middle of the year. Got it. So we have two first round picks under 26. Yeah. Which is great in some cases, but there is that flip side to, ugh, I just want. I just don't want him to see. I just want Sam to get the reps. I really, really want Darnold to get as many of the reps as possible. Yep. Because McAllen doesn't need them. No, and they shouldn't be giving him. And he doesn't need them. He knows the offense. It's the same. It's going to be the same shit as last year for the most part. The guy was there last year. He's the quarterback coach. McAllen knows what he wants to run. He knows the guys. Like, it's the same line, it's the same receivers for the most part. He has the chemistry with the guys that are necessary. We need Sam to play.
01 Justin: You don't draft a guy third overall and have him not play at all. No. It's crazy. Like, even Trubisky, who they went out last year in Chicago and got Glennon and paid him. Yeah. And they were like, OK, Trubisky's young, right? He was same age, like 20 when he was drafted. But Darnold has more experience than Trubisky had. Trubisky only started one season. Darnold has two under his belt. And they went like four or five games or whatever. And they're like, damn, this guy Glennon, not good. May as well just. Throw in Trubisky. And I don't want them may as well throw in Sam. I want it to be planned methodically for a progression from week one to week 17 and what you're expecting to see from him. That should be what is being planned right now. Jake: I agree. Except for he's still an unknown and there's this... I just don't want this Teddy in the mix. Justin: I don't want Teddy taking away, but also... Yeah, if Donald broke his leg next week, I'd be like, Thank God we have Teddy. Right. Because he could actually win games. But let's wait till week three of the preseason to trade him. Right. Like when someone gets hurt in that third week, which they do. Yep. Always. Having a Sanchez. Blew our whole season. We can call it Vinnie to the 40. They wanted to let Gino win the job. They let him start the third game. And what do you do? He threw three picks in the first half. And then Rex, like an idiot, wanted to win the game against the Giants, who gives a flying fuck. Stupid little dumbass. And then you lose your real starting quarterback. And God knows what his career would have looked like. He could have still been a J. Who knows? I actually strongly believe that he could have been good. And we totally fucked him up. So I really just don't want to see that happen again. Jake: But I've watched him go to too many other teams and just kind of play the same game that he played with the Jazz. It was good enough when you have, again, it's a. Justin: We're building that team now. Jake: Yeah, we are. time. a very young great defense. I'm not sure, I'm still not sure that I believe in Bowles that he could build a top five defense. Like I don't, like he's not put together Justin: good defenses yet. I don't think he's put together a top ten defense. I think he has the horses this year to do it. Great. I don't know if he's had the squad. to do it. He had the year he had the bring back revisit. That was the one year, but we were still severely lacking in safety that year and our linebackers were a little long in Jake: the tooth. So we'll see this is this because to me this is not so much about the offense. It's like you're supposed to be a defensive coordinator. Coach. He's a head coach with a defensive slant. And you should know how to put together a great defense. Let's see it. You've pretty much given, the picks have always been on defense. It's the first year we went offense in a while, right? Yeah. In the first round. Justin: Our first round picks have been defense since like 2010.
01 Justin: Right. Jake: So it's like, there's got to be something there. But you take a rookie quarterback with a top five, top 10 defense. Yeah. That's a success. Justin: And by the way, we do have some power running backs on our team. Crowell is a power running back. Rawls is a power back. Powell is also underrated power back. You think of him as a scat back, but he's not. He's the guy you want on third and one. He was better at it than Chris Ivory was. I'd really like to see what happens with the running backs. They have four. They have four. Someone's gonna get hurt. I mean, pal gets hurt every year. Yeah, that's the thing. Pal to me is the guy who I love. He gets hurt for three games every year. Every year he's missed in three games. It's just a thing. Don't want that. Yeah, running backs, this happens. Jake: All right. Anything else? Other news? Rontes Miles got hurt. Yeah, and we did this crazy signing where this guy was literally, J.J. Wilcox was sitting in the, what was it? The stories he's sitting in the 49ers like... Like front office ready to sign and then just like kind of picks up and leaves and then says no I'm gonna go sign with the Jets like I'm gonna go play for bowls coincided with Ron Tismal is getting hurt. I Justin: Guess well, they play the same position. Yeah, both safeties. He came to be a backup Or maybe a nickel maybe they said hey, we're gonna play a lot of free safety Right because you know, May and Adams are fairly versatile Yep. And this guy, I don't really know him. I just know he, well, he started his whole career and he started last year for the Steelers. You can't really get out into that field as a defender on the Steelers if you're not halfway decent. Right. Jake: So that's pretty good. That's, that's pretty good. The office, I think it's just gone. Justin: Well, how about our, you didn't, you didn't put a little note in here about our rookie tight end. Oh, getting DUI? Yeah. Jake: Until it's like the stuff that came out about... Justin: Just stay the fuck out of the news. I know. Come on, Jets. Just come on. Why do you need a DUI, you stupid idiot? What are you doing? What are you doing? Don't you realize... some of these players are just so stupid. You have the opportunity of a lifetime. You're a fourth round draft pick rookie. You have literally zero capital that you're working with. You have to build up all the equity in the world to stay in this league. Just be smarter. Why are you drinking anyway? Why are you out that late anyway? Dude, you have to be at OTAs the next day. What are you doing? Jake: Big and idiot. Yeah. Maybe you're a kid. These are just 20 year olds. 22, 23 years old. Justin: Really stupid. It is. I like to, I, I, I would love to just cut him. I don't care how good he is. I don't, it's the example thing. I know what Bill Belichick would do.
02 Justin: Unless his name was Tom Brady. He'd be like, out the door kid. Late, later. Later, Skeeter. You're done. You're not on this team. Jake: We do not have a lot in the tight end category. Justin: Fine, we have Quincy and Nunu coming back. The no-ten games? Jake: You know? Um, alright, so when are we gonna come back? Um, when they really start practicing? Justin: For the 300th episode? Minicamp? Minicamp? Or training. I think training camp is the proper 300th episode. Yes, training camp. Because that's like 300th episode, we're starting to season off. Yeah, training camp legit. That'll be in July. We'll have numbers on like snap counts and all sorts of fun stuff with the quarterbacks. Yeah, there'll be more injuries by then. There might be some weird signings by then. We'll have hard knocks to talk about. Who's the team? It's Cleveland Browns. Oh, great. Great one. That's actually good. I love that. Jake: Other than the Jets, I think that's like the best one. Yeah, I can't wait to watch that one. That'd be fun to watch. Baker. That's gonna be a great one. It's gonna be a little bit hard because somewhere in our soul Justin: We're gonna be sitting there and if you get my heart of hearts, I really wanted big I know so like we're gonna be like What do you have been a good jet? Well, you're gonna kind of want to see like does he have those leadership qualities that we thought? He has right Jake: Or was it all smoke and mirrors? I mean, if they don't allow Sam and Mayfield or... Justin: That week three Thursday night game has got to be the two. The NFL, if you... Come on. You fucked up this whole taking the knee thing. Just put out a memo right now to the Jets and to the Browns and say, your asses are playing those rookies that Thursday night. Yes! Like, do whatever the fuck you want, week one and two. But week three, those two guys are going to feel good. That's going to be so good. Jake: That could do that, NFL. Makeup fear is shit. That may not end up being this way. But I mean, that could be one of those things you look back on these two guys, or the seven quarterbacks take it. Like, this is going to be some ESPN 30 for 30 in 30 years. Well, this draft had those five quarterbacks in the first round. It could be one of those, you know. 83 situations like either that or it's like oh look you know that just picked the wrong guy over the Browns made another Justin: Decision Ken O'Brien. Yeah, instead of damn Reno right both of them won zero Super Bowls, but whatever yes Jake: Well his rookie year then you were teased for the rest of your his career golden golden jacket golden showers what? Platinum showers. All right. We'll be back in basically about six weeks. So until then as always Justin Jake saying let's go Jets
