08 Jake: Welcome to the Jet Kingdom podcast, the longest New York... Running podcast ever the fuck is that jets? Oh my god. I Love it when the just take my advice They did exactly wish I literally love it now. They just have better. Love it up. Well, let's talk about it Justin: That's not part of it. I'm Jake. He's Justin. Let's talk about it. That's not part of it like fucking it out Like that's a guarantee Jake: They will. Yeah. The good news is that the team picking number one is so much better. Well, there's much better at fucking up. In fact, they fucked up this pick so many more times than we have ever fucked up. The the pick in this round. Justin: Oh, man, they've picked they've picked so many quarterbacks in the first round. I think I think they had a streak of like three out of five years Three out of five, imagine picking in the first round three out of five. I'm picking a quarter back. I'm picking a quarter back. Imagine that. That's how bad you are doing that. Jake: Uh. Yeah. Let's uh. Let's talk about the jet stuff. There is so much going on. This I don't know if it's just because I'm paying attention this year. Justin: It's probably because you're paying attention. Jake: There's been a lot of trades. Two teams, well, the Rams are insane. The Rams are insane. What's wrong with them? We could talk about them. Justin: What are the Patriots doing here? The Patriots are insane. What are they lurking around doing? What are they doing? Jake: But let's talk about the Jets trade. Okay. So the Jets trade, I think it was the day before, or it was on St. Patty's Day. Justin: It was like the day after we- Not the morning until, yeah? It was the day after we did our podcast, which SUCK. Yes, it was It was like, oh, we were talking about it and we could have had this to talk about too Jake: But it's beautiful that just means it's so big I was praying that the Jets would go up, get a top three pick and be able to pick one of these four quarterbacks and not have a BV also rans If we leave at six, if we left at six, which we didn't, we'll talk about the trade in second table scraps, like it's not good enough. Moving up to three, I think it's a great trade. I think not giving up your first next year, so what we gave up, we gave up our two firsts, two seconds this year. We gave up. And our second next year. That's it. Justin: Three second round picks and, well, technically a first round pick. Jake: Yes, but we got back a first round pick. That's right. Yeah, I hate that one. They say they gave up a first. I know, they gave up a first. Justin: Well, kinda not, they got a better first. Jake: Yes. It feels like three picks for three spots. Feels kind of like, ooh, that's a lot. But they didn't give up a first. They didn't give up a first next year.
01 Jake: And I was ready. I think I even said package the two in the second and the first next year and let's move up. Justin: Yeah, my logical brain says, well, we kind of only gave up. two second round picks. Jake: Right, because one of them we over. Justin: Because one of them is named Jermaine Curse. And he's a starting wide receiver. Jake: And we didn't give him up. Justin: And we did not give him up. We still have him. Right. But we actually had another pick. We did. Jake: I was looking forward to having three picks. Justin: Our history of second round picking is pretty dismal. So, you know, May being maybe the exception. He may be the exception. Before that, David Harris. but I can't remember another second round pick that's been halfway decent for the Jets. Jake: Oh yeah, we have, in the last couple years, I think at three out of four years, we've just blown. Justin: Three out of four, like tried 10 out of 11. Jake: So we moved up, went from six to three, with the Colts, made the trade with us. This is all old news to anybody listening, so we don't have to really go over it. On a scale of 10. How big is your boner for this trade? Like super hard boner? Or just like, yeah, it's like, it's a soft chubby. Justin: It's exciting because we're in the top three and you know that we're going to get one of the, we're going to get one of the top three quarterbacks. Jake: Yeah, there's no way we can get at least. Justin: one of the top three. Right. And there's four. By all accounts there's four. I only want two. I will, I will accept one of three of them. You accept one of three? Yeah, there's three. One out of three. Oh, you like three out of four? I like three of the four guys. I like two of the Jake: four. So let's talk about it. First of all, on a scale of one ten, all right, let's go eight. No, Justin: it's super exciting. And is it the right thing to do? Yeah, it's probably the right thing to do because it just takes all doubt out of mind It's like no no best player available. Fuck that. We are so picking a quarterback. We don't even need to disguise it We don't need to it is telegraphed, right? We are picking a quarterback if you'd like to pick a quarterback before we do Good luck trading with one of the two teams ahead of us set the bar Jake: So you want to move up three spots if you have three picks go ahead bills Give up. Give up your two firsts. Two firsts. And your second or whatever. For the second or the first next year and like whatever to get up from 12 to two. Enjoy. Justin: Go ahead and move up to five dolphins. You're still picking behind us. Jake: Yeah, it's gonna be tough. I think it was the right trading partner. I would have loved it if the Giants had done it. I think. Apparently they don't like the GM there. The new GM is not a trader. Not a trader. So I don't think they're moving out No, and they shouldn't why should they so the public wait, let's just be clear. We're not making our picks We're not good We're just gonna talk about this trade and talk about other stuff, but we're gonna come back and do a full Justin: Yeah, we have to do like a full-on draft podcast. We will do a draft podcast but for this purpose we We should talk about who the four guys are. Jake: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then what we kind of want. So let's go. Let's talk four guys.
02 Jake: I actually, after this trade was made, I got so excited. I started watching. I started watching the films. Well, because before that, I was so I just didn't think we had a chance of getting one of the guys. Now I know at least we're going to get one of the four. So I was like, well, let's find one that you like. So let's talk about it. Let's rank them from what the NFL ranks them or we're pretty much a consensus. Although it's changing. Justin: Keeps changing. Jake: Well, I feel like this latest one is bullshit. I feel like the ranking that has been that I feel like was the right rankings was Darnold Rosen Mayfield. Justin: Alan. That's pretty much been for months. Yeah. Alan is the one who is like skyrocketing up because of his physical ability of being able to literally throw the ball through a brick wall. Jake: I could not be more excited. Me too. I hope the Browns pick him. Justin: That would be the brownziest pick ever. Jake: Right. Justin: Right. It does open up some craziness at number two. It if Allen goes one, number two is a wild west shootout at that point. Jake: Because you could see the Giants who have pretty much. Oh, my God. They're not picking a quarterback. Justin: If Donald doesn't go one. The Giants can name their price for that pic Jake: They probably could you take it where a ransom, but this guy doesn't ever do that There is a small chance and then they should take them I saw it as a mark that he could drop to us. That would be great I I kind of have not even thought about him. I know because it was all suck for Sam over the summer It's been so long. We've been talking about Sam coming to come to the Jets I just kind of have thrown him out, because I'm just like, he's not going to get beyond two. I just don't think it. But if he did, fine. It's not who I've kind of like watched the most, and I'm kind of most excited about. Because then you have the next, so let's talk Alan. Why not Alan? Why do you not like Alan? Justin: Well, a lot of people are comparing him to Carson Wentz. Right. Which is convenient, because they're similar size, and played at smaller schools, and have a similar kind of background. But. When I've looked into his statistics, there's a telling stat and it's completion percentage. It's super frickin' low and in college, if you're a pro quarterback, you should be completing at least 65% of your passes. Jake: I also think that- Justin: Because Windows gets smaller in the pros. Jake: Well, this is the thing when watching their tape. So again, I just watched the 10 minute reels of everybody. Even watching, even watching Rosen's, which I was, I was like, the first three touchdowns are just guys wide open. Justin: Yeah, that's college, dude. Jake: With little corners who didn't know when to turn around. And in the NFL, that corner turns, pick six. That's right. He's going the other way. Yeah, dude. So it's like. Justin: A whole other ball game. Jake: Yeah, like, OK, that's a great throw and great catch. But you were wide open in the end zone. Right. Not really a big deal for me. Alan, all I've heard is his raw talent and he's got tons of and he's inconsistent in college.
03 Jake: I don't want either of those things on my team. I really don't. I don't know. Justin: I want I want to do who could come in and start. I want to go to come in and win and start in week one. And let's let's start this journey now. Yeah. Why wait? Jake: I want to go to week one with. Justin: the Sanchez situation. And guess what? Rosen's getting trashed on his way out just like Sanchez was. Remember when Pete Carroll was like he's not ready he should stay another year. Well Jim Mora who's coach at UCLA who used to coach in the NFL has been talking all this shit about Rosen and how you know He's kind of like railing on him for being a millennial. Yeah, he did that I know like you can't just tell him something he wants to know why and you have to challenge him And you know what I say I say fuck you. That's good If your quarterback wants to know why and wants to go deeper wants to question and understand I'm for that I'm for that. Why are we running that play? Let me teach you. Ah, I get it. Or it doesn't make sense. And he might have some input. Jake: If you think of some of the greatest quarterbacks that we talk about in our era, they are, they don't talk about as dumbasses who just go out there and wing the ball. There are a few. Do this. I'm sorry. Big Ben is not known for being a brilliant guy. But Manning, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady are kind of known for being very smart. Justin: Aaron Rodgers, by the way, had the same knock against him. Jake: That you asked the why. OK, good. I like that knock. So yeah, so let's go back to Alan. So Alan, it just feels like I don't want Raw. I don't want a guy waiting. We can't we're not in a waiting position. I know we have two other quarterbacks. I don't want that And and honestly, if the bill they're now saying the Browns might take him at one. Great. Because they take another reason I don't want him. Justin: Yeah. And then the Giants pick gets super interesting. I think that's awesome. If that happens, I can't see them pulling. I can't see them drafting a guard when Sam Darnold sitting there. And it's like, here's the next 15 years. Eli can start next year. Fine. But here's your next 15. I can't see how they pass on that. Jake: I actually think there's other theories that are saying that Alan is a good pick for the Giants because he's a guy who could sit behind Eli for two years. Like that's the right place to go. Go to a place where you sit behind the guy. Justin: Yeah, but why pick the guy who... why not just pick the better one? Jake: The better player I'm saying if it goes Darnold, then it goes Darnold Allen Rosen. Justin: Yeah. Why wouldn't they pick the better? Whoever they think is the better player if they're going to pick quarterback. Jake: I don't think they're going to quarterback. Justin: Well, that's the thing I think they do if Darnold gets there. Otherwise, they're like, well, let's just pick the guard or the running back. Jake: Right. They have lots of choices. Justin: They've also got Odell Beckham sitting there ready to, I mean they could probably get like five number one picks in this draft if they actually wanted to.
03 Jake: No. Justin: If you think about it. Jake: Oh, trading that plus Odell? Justin: Yeah. Trade the number two pick and trade Odell. They could probably pick four number ones in this draft and pick up another one for next year. Jake: I don't think they could get that many. Justin: Odell, they're going to ask for two ones. Jake: No. Justin: This year, next year. And then for that number two pick, they could probably get somebody with two, like the bills or the pats, to give them both and maybe one next year, too. Jake: Yeah, I think that's too high. But anyway, that's great. I don't care. So then let's talk about the two that I think we both are kind of in agreement that we like. Which is a little scary because you're terrible at closing back your game. Justin: I'm pretty bad at this. Although sometimes I'm good at it. Jake: I'm hoping that you... I'm very inconsistent. I'm hoping that we don't get the guy who you want us to get. Because that would be scary. So we have Rosen and Mayfeld. Justin: So Rosen from UCLA and Mayfield from Oklahoma. We haven't been there done now. Who's our, we haven't picked a UCLA quarterback. Jake: No, West Coast, sun in the sun guy. Justin: Oh, well Sanchez played at USC. Jake: Yeah, I understand. Justin: Yeah, but yeah, Rosen came into the year was it was Donald and Rosen and it's still Donald and Rosen and Alan. Alan was not. I mean, he was known. Yeah, the guy from Wyoming, Alan. Yeah, he was known. And I don't think Mayfield was like on anybody's radar. But man, did he play really, really well this year. He's definitely a competitor. He can move. Uh, I watched him play a couple of times cause he was in the, um, you know, the final Ford, like the playoffs. So I watched him in those games. He's definitely got a thing about him. Like he's got a leadership quality about him. Jake: It was accurate of all of them. If you're looking for percentage completion, he's the guy. Justin: And if you're going to run a West coast, if you're looking for like Jake: touchdown to intercession, right. interception ratio, he's the guy. His numbers are the best. Justin: He's been the guy I wanted the whole time, but that was when we were picking at six. And I'm like, Mayfield's the target because I don't know if any of these other guys are going to get there, but Mayfield probably could. Now that we're picking at three, and if you're going to tell me well, unless you tell me that Darnell goes one and the Giants are like, fuck it, we're picking Rosen. They draft Rosen two. I'm totally picking Mayfield. Jake: Oh, yeah, I agree. Justin: If that's the way now, if I have to choose between Mayfield and Rosen. I have a hard time. I don't know. It's hard for me to project what? Because you've got to look at a guy's like whole career and it's like, well, they're going to be with this coaching staff for at least this year. God knows. And then who knows what happens after that. So I have no idea.
00 Justin: I mean, Rosen, by all by all accounts, has the pedigree. Jake: I think Mayfield has the he has that it factor. He's obviously smaller. They keep making that thing, you know, three inches is a lot. It's probably more like four because he's six one, which usually means six. And he's much more of a scrambler. He's not a pure sit in the pocket passer. He's like, you know, if it's not there, he starts to scramble. I always, I guess that's why I will say that I want Rosen more is because I feel like the scrambling guy, I've said this, I think since we started this podcast, I could probably find it, probably said about Michael Vick. I'm always concerned with someone who's scrambling because what they're not doing is trying, they're always have that fight, fight or fight in their head. Good. It's like, okay, got the ball. Now you got whatever, 2.2 seconds to make a decision. They're always thinking, can I make it and can scramble or can I throw it? A pure pocket passer doesn't think can I scramble. Tom Brady never thinks, ooh, open lane, let me dig it. He's like, I want to get rid of this ball because I don't want to get killed. And so to me, that's the quarterbacks you want. This league is about protecting the quarterback in the pocket. He gets touched on his head or whatever. There's huge files and penalties. The guy gets out, gets hurt. That guy gets slammed in the face and gets knocked out, get concussed. So I just generally, if you told me, these guys are exactly the same. They're the exact same person, but one's more of a pocket passer. The exact same stats, exact same school, same, they're brothers, they're twin brothers. But one's a pocket passer and one's a scrambler. See you next time. Bye-bye. I want the pocket pass. I want the pocket pass every time. Just because I think that's where the NFL is right now. The scramblers are getting hurt more. I mean, look at the RG3s and even Wens got hurt. We're going to talk about RG3 in a minute. But didn't Wens get hurt on a big scramble? Justin: Well, he got hurt squaring a touchdown. You can't really fault the guy for in a big spot. Seeing a I just you know on a roll out being like well fuck this I can get the touch to feel like the guys Jake: Who don't get hurt the like they I mean the Tom Brady's here's the main man Justin: They sit in the back and let me throw the ball. Let me counter. Okay John LA, what do you think of John LA? Did he play in the last 10 years? What just what do you think about John Elway? What do I think about him? Jake: Feel like he's a pocket passer? Do you feel like he was more of a scrambler? He started more as a scrambler than he settled down as the pocket passer. Justin: Just an athlete. Right. Yes. A really good one. Yeah. Jake: Drew Brees the same. Justin: Just a really good athlete. That's true. Russell Wilson. He'll he'll at some point just settle into like, I'm going to chill here and throw the ball and he can and he can totally do it. Andrew Luck very similar. He's a scrambler. We watched it with Fitz. He was kind of a scrambler He would run for a lot of first downs and broke his thumb and then had to be pulled out. Totally. Right. But at the same time There's something about
00 Justin: Mayfield being a walk on the chip thing winning the Heisman the chip thing and Jake: I know he would love New York That's a thing. That's true. For all those reasons, I'm in. I love the attitude. I think he's a got it. You look in his eyes. He seems very smart. He seems to be able to talk his way. I've seen some of his interviews. That'd be, again, if I'm grading them just from like, if I want one or the other, I... I really love all that about him, but I'm not so excited about the scrambling-ness of him. I actually think he would have a better job of winning, I'm trying to think, like for this coaching staff, I actually think he'd be worse because Todd Bowles is much more about the guy who like keeps his mouth shut and does his job, and that's not Mayfield. Mayfield's a talker, so. Justin: We have an interesting situation at quarterback. Because we're going to draft one, we're going to have whatever. You can say we named the starter that dude ain't starting. The starter is going to be between the rookie and Bridgewater. And if Bridgewater is not the starter, I think he's cut. Jake: Probably. Justin: So he's going to have a chance to win the job if he's healthy enough. He probably could. Like it'll be close if, if, you know, we know Bowles. If he's like, that guy gives me a chance to win one more game. Half a game. Probably start him. Jake: I think he's much, I think Bowles. There'd be no reason R Is because and this is what I said on the last podcast when you're the team and throws away three picks right there Gonna see you Justin: This is my dude. They're gonna talk about it, and I'm sure that they had to like agree. Hey Todd We're trading up and I'm getting our I'm getting our fucking playing you're gonna play him and work with Jeremy you got You're going to fucking play this rookie. And just like you played Adams in May last year, you're going to play this rookie quarterback. Right. Jake: And I gave you some real. Real big weapons in the in the in the defense. I got you the number one corner off the market. That's right. And we got you some other players like you're. That's it. Don't fuck around with this playing some 38 year old backup. Justin: No more. No more. No more. You can teach. He can. Jake: Do whatever. I don't care. I want the offensive coordinator. So we signed a weapon. So let's just say that's how we see it.
00 Jake: We want Rosen or Mayfield. Rosen or Mayfield. We're sort of torn. You want Mayfield more than you want Rosen. Justin: I kind of do, but I feel like I'm going to second guess that at some point in the future. Like I'm going to feel like, oh, I said that and I shouldn't have. But I'm going to say it because I kind of like them. OK. Jake: You like Johnny. Interesting. I think it's cool. Justin: And no, you should have seen him in college, man. He was a man. Did he have it anyway? So he signed Terrell prior. I think it's great. He could play cornerback too. He he he's an emergency backup. For sure. Good guy to have on the roster. Great. Can run some gadgets with him. Yeah. And I think they should. If you start, remember when we had Sanchez? We also had Brad Smith on the team. Very much reminds me of a Brad Smith. Like Haughtry? No, that was after. Haughtry was on the team, but Haughtry was a pure receiver. I mean, a sure handed slot receiver guy. Terrell Pryor's just fast and turned into a receiver. To me, this is like if Robbie Anderson can't play, you've got Terrell Pryor. To me, there's by the way, they were that was dismissed. The NFL probably get one game. Say like, you can't say you're going to come on the police. Jake: Officers wifej face like. One game. Justin: I think it's,,, and and, rebirth I I what M footnote, I think it's a game. Like split them out wide, have Brad Smith... Take a snap out of the stupid pistol. Yeah fine, who cares,. Just give him a play off. Like he just did something stupid. Give him a play off to just stand out there. And then, you know, compose, bring yourself back into the huddle, do your thing. And I think prior, if we can get creative enough, we can do some things like that with prior, where you run like him in a pistol with. Yes. you know, whether it be Powell behind him or Crowell behind him R as a big back, you know, that would be a lot of fun. Rawls or Thomas Rawls. We just that's who we signed. We signed. We re-signed Quincy and Nunez. Yeah, I think he or he signed his one year tender. One year tender. He kind of means he's gone. Well, no, that's not true. It means you're coming off of a huge neck injury. See? And we signed you to the one year tender because you're a sixth round pick. So that's what should happen for him. It's a one year deal. We have tons of cap space next year. If you are back and you're as good as you were before, we're going to probably bring you back. But you can't just sign a guy for four years who's coming off of a neck surgery. He's not Peyton Manning. Jake: I will say Tyro Prior is my... That's the kind when there was uh was Crabtree got released out there.
01 Jake: You wanted Crabtree. I just wanted a big dude. I want someone who's that who's high who can go up big. Go jump. This guy's 6'4. Yeah go jump. Catch the jump ball. Catch it over that 5'10 corner. Justin: Go catch the jump ball in the corner. Jake: Yep, because we lost the Frane Jenkins, who you thought was good at that. He was, but he was. Well, he was. So he was not good at making yards after the catch. No yak for him. Justin: So we talk about this RG3 situation. Jake: Sure. Justin: So RG3 is a Baltimore Ravens podcast. RG3 was signed as a backup in Baltimore. Yeah. Colin Kaepernick still unemployed. Jake: What do you think about that? Who's a better quarterback? I think what you have to ask yourself is not who is a better quarterback now because we don't know. I think what you have to ask yourself is at the peak of their thing, at the best you ever saw them play. When you think of the best game you ever saw, RG3 play the plays on the ground, he threw the touchdown like he was having a freaking ball or maybe the was it not the NFC Championship? Yeah, maybe the NFC Championship. Justin: That divisional game where he ran for like 200 yards on the Packers. Jake: Like if you think of those two, you're OK. Which one was the better quarterback at the peak of the time that they were the best? I would take Kaepernick. Wow, you've always shat on Kaepernick, so it's interesting you say that. Justin: Well, RG3 is an injury waiting to happen. Jake: Yeah, but that's not a factor. Justin: It's a complete and utter factor. Jake: I'm saying just who you think is the best at the time. Justin: RG3 was blowing up that year. Because it's also like not the peak of, because I could be like, well, think about the peak of like, who do you want, you know? Tom Brady or a like he's 40 years old. It's like yeah, he was you know the peak bad example last year He's still in his peak. Yeah, but which is insanity, but You know there there are guys who they get old and RG 3 got old fast like really fast like he tore up his ACL and then He was gonna start for the Browns two years ago. And what happened? He couldn't even make it out of one game. Jake: I think at this point they've both been out of football. They're both kind of, I don't know. I know what you're trying to get at. It's like a conspiracy. Justin: It's kind of a, it's not necessarily conspiracy. It's just like a... Jake: But this is a hard G3. We own a company. We hire people. And when we hire people, we take into account a lot of things that make them their talents. But it also take into other factors. And I think Kaepernick is still suffering. He's still in a lawsuit against, I don't know, it's against the NFL or the players union or someone. The point is he's still a lightning rod of controversy. and So if there's a talented talent, yeah, I think I'd probably take Kaepernick.
03 Jake: Although he's been out for two years. He hasn't touched a ball in two years, right? Wasn't last year. Justin: Not last...uh...the season before he played more than RG3 did. Okay. RG3 was the slated starter for the Browns. Right. Started week one, did not finish week one, got hurt, then they went off to play a bunch of shitheads and he maybe played like three more games that season towards the end. Kaepernick didn't start for the Niners under Chip Kelly, but ended up starting like the last eight games or something. Jake: Right. That's why I put him in because they like they had the thing where they almost wanted him to get hurt or something. I don't know. Yeah. Justin: Because his contract was like, I don't know, some weird thing. Jake: I think they didn't want him to get hurt. But then they kept playing him. Right. Anyway, I don't know. I think Kaepernick is probably the one, but if I had to as a team owner, now I'm putting myself as a team owner, but I had to think, well, who's the guy who's gonna be a lightning rod for all this other stuff that's not NFL related? I think I might be like, yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I think that's make the decision. I'm not saying it's the right decision. I don't know what they have to do or not have to do. I don't know if they have to take that into consideration. presentation. but it does feel like, I don't know, I think that's one of the reasons. And again, he's in a lawsuit against it, and I do think there's a little bit of collusion going on. That NFL owners are like, yeah, no, you're not signing anybody. All right, well, you have in here to who do we still want? I don't know, do we still want anybody? Why don't we save it? We'll come back. Justin: We don't know who's even out there. Jake: We have a lot of pre-drafts. Well, there's two things that are gonna be coming up. One, the NFL schedule will be coming out probably around the week of the draft. It always does, which I cannot wait. Cannot wait for the schedule. It's my favorite time of year. It's literally Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanza all wrapped up in a ball. and I eat it. And then we have the draft and the draft this year is in Texas, which will be fun. But also the first round is going to go very fast for us because within, let's see, a start at eight by eight thirty will be done. Actually, we can go to bed at eight. Perfect. Also, we'll be watching every little bit of draft coverage. We're not trading back in. We don't got nothing to trade back in with. Unless we're trading next year. Next year. Justin: Which is not smart. Jake: No, because next year's first is probably gonna be pretty high. I mean the top 15. Justin: Actually, I expect us to make the playoffs, so. Jake: With no matter what they, no matter who they draft? Justin: Yeah, I expect us to make the playoffs. Jake: I want, I want, if, I want eight and eight and above. Justin: I expect us to make the playoffs with this team. That is my expectation. I actually don't care who the quarterback is. Jake: And you and you and the Bulls can get together and put the Macown in. He'll win two more games than he did last year. I guess you have to win a bunch more. A bunch more. Well, he didn't lose those last games. Alright, so we'll get back. We'll come back. We'll do a draft one. We'll do a talk about things.
01 Jake: But that's enough for the trade up. Again, great trade. This is this is one of those things that we're going back in the history books of the end of the jets And this is either gonna be a defining moment like I think it is for some teams maybe like the Rams maybe like the Eagles Or it's gonna be one of those. Oh my god that set us back for years But it's kind of all in and I kind of like it And I think that's where the jets need to be that can't be I agree around anymore and just waiting for I agree Justin: We're all in we made a big push slash bringing young fresh faces and clear the books and clear the books and coach them up last year. They learned a lot. They played a lot. And let's go into your two of this sort of second and half of the Bulls regime. And let's let's go. And by the way, next year, we got a lot of money again. Jake: Yeah, we do. And so if there is a rookie quarterback who needs weapons, we'll go get them next year. Get weapons. That's right. Justin: He'll have weapons listen either Stuart Hanson curse a new one prior Anderson I just rattled off six names of receivers none of them are like number one dudes No, but if you don't know what Stewart's gonna be you don't know what Hanson's gonna be or Henson So hot right now, you know curse we kind of know we also signed like a special team or who's more of a He is a receiver And whatever doesn't mean shit to me Jake: Yeah, I don't know. I don't know that the little receiving core. I think I was thinking about this morning like the receiving core I'm like, okay, that's not it's not you know top 10 in the NFL, but it's not bad If I think if we could keep Anderson as that deep Justin: threat. We have curse who plays well. Prior is very similar too as a deep threat. Like that and then Jake: you get Quincy back. Quincy back over the middle. And then you get those two guys to maybe do well. It becomes the next thing. Like one of them just breaks out. You need a breakout for one of them. Justin: I saw, I rewatched a bunch of games. Stuart made a couple of catches that I was like, he can be good. Because he made these catches in traffic like with one hand or diving or like with no regard for his own physical well-being Which you can do nowadays I think he can be good, right? They just need to put him in the right place to be good Jake: He might be a little deep but I'd rather have a deep deep bear than if someone gets hurt because god knows This is the roster now come You know week one two of these guys can be out for the season completely right just like last year Yeah, just like last year. All right. We'll be back in a bit Until then as always justin and jake sing Let's go jets
