17 Jake: Welcome to the Jet Kingdom podcast, the longest running New York... and Mr. Justin, Justin, how are you doing today? Well, we're at that point in the year where we've been officially eliminated from the playoffs, math, math, math. So, well, depressing, you know, when you get that official news that mathematically, you know, that animated. It's a tough one to handle, you know? But otherwise, you know, I mean, on the bright side, we were, you know, we, did you know we were winning this game, 3-0, this Miami game? and the announcers made mention of the fact that... The Jets have really only been leading this year for like less than 30 minutes. Which is It's one of the saddest Jets seasons that I can remember. It's really easy. It's back to like rich cut-tight years. I can't think of a team that was this bad. And you know what's really sad is they still look like they're trying. Like, this is not a team that looks like they've quit. They don't appear to really, they really don't. Really? Really? They don't look like they've quit. They just don't look like they're as good. And like, that's a problem. It looks to me like if you took, if you took, so we, I used to, I'm not a big man in person anymore. But if you took Madden and you like you and I were going to play, let's say. We're both going to play the Jets. We're going to play Jets versus Jets. And I said I and you said yours or no. Let's play. You're going to play the Dolphins. K. R. The Dolphins on the Jets. You set your your team to, you know, and to expert. And I set mine to like Pee Wee. And it's like. Like my guys can't run fast. They can't they can't tackle well.
01 Jake: They're just they're like playing way under their ability. It it there's just so many things you like. Good talent, good teams, good scheme. This team has none of it, right? It's just like, it's so lacking. And the And I've seen them have really bad seasons, right? I've seen two wind seasons, three wind seasons. And I don't think I've saw the one wind season. But even there you felt like, and I'd have to go back, we should go back and look at some of those seasons and be like, were we even like within a... some sort of competitiveness, right? There is a like, look, your team doesn't win, but you hang in the games and you this This is the most uncompetitive team I've ever seen. And I get them by they lose by multiple scores every time they start off and then they just continue to get beaten. And then yeah, and it just turns into it into an absolute crap show. So from a like... enjoyable standpoint, look, losing at this point, we all know losing is good. But from a fan who wants to watch a team, it's like it's hard to watch them. You're just, there's no hope. They don't the talent around them is- is so limited. You're just you. You're just you and I- think Sal in Texas going, okay, that one guy that third stringer, he did a nice move. He might be good in a year like The talent level, the skill level, everything just looks so bad that that's what's that's what's hard to watch is because a team that is this devoid of talent. I just don't think it's gonna bounce from a one win to zero win season to a nine win season because there's just not enough talent there to go around and you can't just. refresh, you know, over 50% of your team and be like, Oh, all talented. It's not it's not the way it works. So it's just painful. And the play calling is like, the play calling makes me just scream at times. It's like, Oh, first and 10 round the middle. Okay. First and 10. And so a third and nine. Okay. It's just terrible. So, but let's get to the big thing. We started arguing about a this, I think you might be the only argument you've ever won against me in the 1516 years we've known each other. We started in the middle texting about Sam. And of course, we can't watch football together because of this global pandemic. and we decided not to mask up and watch games. So we're sitting there texting and I'm sitting there going, look, look, see, Sam has talent. Like, it's there. And he's an above-average quarterback. And you actually started to agree with me, but then you're See, there he is. And he threw a pick. And he ended up, I think, with two picks and really looking terrible.
01 Jake: We started to say, like, where in the scale is this this quarter back. Now we saw some of the worst quarterback play ever on Sunday. There were 10. Oh my goodness. So we know and that's what I think is a good lesson for us. Look, you can have someone like a Bryce petty or or the fails or someone who literally should not be on the field. This is this is an embarrassment. to the National Football League to have someone out there who looks like they are a fan who came down and won and was in a movie and they won like a ticket to come down and it really does put it in perspective how good at football NFL players are because that's a professional that played for Denver like he's not us he's not coming off the couch that's a professional who plays football for a a living and looked like a high school of player. That I mean it's a terrible thing I mean for the And I think that's like if we took like whatever this rookie we drafted last year, which that's what it would look like. Like it, that's our David fails. It's the fourth string quarterback is really in the game right now where, where you have to dumb down the, the, the game plan. Not that we have a great game plan, but you have to dumb down the game plan so much because he just can't do it. He can't make all the throws. and you know,, it's just gonna look like a scared chicken behind the line. Wasn't was there something that he had? He couldn't complete a pass for the first He was We started arguing about it and Sam look worse and worse and worse and we've seen him work great and we've seen him look terrible. I think just on the average. I'm gonna reevaluate and he's looking like in our scheme and our team and are the way we he's looking. Below average he's again if you if you. put him in the same as those guys. No, he looks great. And he looks like a real quarterback who can actually play the game and makes amazing throws. And then third and nine hits a guy open for like 35 yards. You're like, look, there it is. Then he comes and makes some really stupid mistakes. And we went back and forth. He's young, he's this, he's that. At this point, I think I have to concede that Sam is, again, in our system, in the way we're playing football and then on the New York Jets with the no talent and the terrible coach and the terrible offense and all that, he is he is a below average quarterback. And I think, like if averages, you know, 50, he's in the 40s. If you know the elites are the hundreds, he's he's below. That
00 Jake: He's not. He has still making mistakes three years later that you don't want a three-year quarterback to make right? He is he is He, he's taking sacks when you you like dude, you shouldn't have taken that sack I got there's sometimes where it's like the guy comes free three Freeze straight through the line. Well, you're gonna get killed. I mean that guy's just gonna die. Right? And again, I would love to sit there and I'd love to say it's the scheme. It's the offense. It's and I think and I've made this prediction to you on I'm gonna do it online. So we have it forever. But I think it will come out that him and Gace are absolutely dead opposed to each other. They hated each other. Sam will never say it because he's a classy guy. But that someone else will say it and they will say that they never gave Sam the chance. to, to like, to step up and be what what we know about him, what we know that he has, we know that he's smart, right? You can't take that away from him. We know that he has football ability. He's big, he's strong, he can make every play. He can throw the ball, right? It's not like you're looking at Chad Pennington, where we used to make like, I can't throw the ball more than 30 yards, like he just doesn't have the arm strength or doesn't have this shoulder anymore. It just doesn't have it. We know that it's not him, we know he's smart. We embattled. We know he's got speed. We think his decision making is not progressing like it should after three years. But I'm good. I think the thing that was really holding him back is that they're not letting him run the team, run the offense, run the line, make the get the two plays, make the call. Because i think i e egomaniac can't wait for him to be but how much of that is affecting what Sam is able to do? How much is the you know, if you're waiting out this average of what is making Sam not progress is it he's just not it he can't do it. He doesn't have the mental ability. He's not the not the neurons are not firing or are there these six or seven other factors coaching game plan talent Thank you. team, I don't know, whatever the other five, you know, off seasons, whatever the things you want to line up that say these are the things that are holding him back. So I'm I'm on the he's a just below average quarterback. And yeah, if we get the chance to pick another quarterback, we have to Yeah, I think he's more below average than you do unfortunately Just because averages being averages like he is in the bottom 10 of all the things so
00 Jake: I would say he's he's well below average You know my big argument to you while we were texting back and forth was to continue to point out how we have only scored three points during the entire game. And you can blame Sam or not, but the facts are they scored three points in an entire football game where they could have scored many points. They scored three on the first drive where he played the entire game. Yes, he played the entire game and in the first drive they went down the field and scored a touchdown or a field goal and then they didn't score again after that. And there were pressure plays like fourth down plays that they didn't convert. He threw two interceptions. He did not throw for 200 yards. Like these are like... Like, no good, dude. Like, come on, man. Like, it got to be a little bit better than that. You know, his completion percentage is under 60%. It's just not there. And I don't know. I mean, there's so many... potential reasons why it's not happening for him. I'd hate to like give up and be like, all right, we gave up on this guy who was a number three overall pick that we traded draft capital to go get, is the guy we wanted, to for, after three years being like, All right, that wasn't right. Let's pick another one. And... I don't know. I... Part of me worries that we're watching Drew Brees at, like, while Drew Brees was in San Diego, where he was... And in his fourth year, the year they drafted Phil Rivers to actually replace him, he played really well. Like, they let him start. Phil Rivers sat that year, and then he injured his shoulder in the last game, which made the Chargers' decision a lot easier for them. And Drew Brees has gone on to be, you know, better than Phil Rivers, that's for sure. And, you know, he's won a Super Bowl. Folks still playing crazy enough. Folks still playing? You're right. That's nutty. But it worries me that, like, he could go to a team. like New Orleans, right? degrees is gonna retire shortly or Tampa where they have a good offense and Brady's gonna retire. Like he goes to one of these teams that's kind of like has a quarterback now and could just slot another one in and has a good coach. And then you see what he can really do. And it's like, ah, shit. Yeah, that's the thing that I really
02 Jake: will really hurt when it does happen. And I know it's going to happen. But we can't play it like we know that's going to nope, that's what we saw with our eyes. He doesn't work here. So we have to move on. But it's also the wing. Look, we had the 10th pick in the draft. Right. We would be saying it is weighing the the opportunity the opportunity cost of what you have having having a first first pick in the NFL draft. is a rarity, right? When's the last time the Jets had the first pick? Keith Shelton Johnson. So that was? 1999 or something. Great. Or earlier than that, 97. 23? Do you say 23 years ago? They had it like back to back years, but they traded it one of those years. But it was like, yeah, like 96 and 97, they had the first pick. So, okay, so 23 years ago, so if you think of like the opportunity cost of having the first pick and the ability, and then you pick this that you have the opportunity and again, I, I'm trying not to get on this once once the season's over, we have it on one day, you'll be all over. I'll watch everyone this I'll watch this kitty, kitty cereal, like I don't care. But I watched a little bit of stuff. I don't know, every time I watch college football, The thing that comes to me is like and I've said this before the guy he's the the corner That's covering that wide receiver that is like two yards open That guy might never I don't know who that guy is that guy may never he might be off the street He might never play football. He might never make a team So I can't tell if that's like that guy is really that much better or that guy is really terrible Right. So yeah that wolf took a great play But if you but if you put me out against a bunch of badgers in the field, I'll make some really good play you and I against five badgers we're gonna look like we're gonna look good, right? Well, I'll throw you touchdowns, I'll scramble around the badgers out, you know, it'll be great. But so I can't tell that around the badgers. I just think I just think At this point, you have three years, you have enough. It's not a year, it's not two years, it is three years, and the progression isn't enough. It's not enough, and we are back to that position that if we don't feel 100% secure in the fact that Sam is the guy, which I think that security is slipping, his year is proving, it's slipping. Maybe we can hear. Touchdown passes an eight interceptions. That's a good ratio. I get it. I get it. And I can With Joe Flacco I could make every excuse in the planet, but I think at this time It's it's enough and we have to say just like just like it head coaches. Sometimes you just Should we have called case last year? Yeah, we were all calling for it. We're like, we can see what's plainly written on the wall. This guy is a fucking clown. Get rid of him. I like three three coaches have been
01 Jake: fired, you know, relieved of their duties. Most recently, Detroit just fired their coach after the bye week. And it was, you know, this was his third season there. So like. You can do that. You totally can. Oh, I'm not saying you can't. I'm saying as an organization, we clearly have a policy. Yeah, we just don't do it. Right. It's our it's our it's our kind of gentleman's handshake or something that that's not the organization that we are. It's sort of like, and I was reading about it, because it was like, you know, Houston fired O'Brien. early. Atlanta fired Quinn early. And by the way, Quinn who we were all upset we didn't get to the chat. So that's kind of well, he also led his team to a Super Bowl and should have won the Super Bowl, by the way. And should have would have could have should have. And then Patricia just got fired. And the article I was reading was basically like, yeah. The Johnsons just don't do this, but they should really rethink it because those three teams are ahead of them right now Like everyone knows Adam Gace is going but you can't like go start searching for a new coach. Yes. No, no, no He is absolutely you're searching. You can't make offers, but you're searching don't tell me Fucking phone calling people being like Yo, it's not Joe Douglas doing anything. It's it's Chris Johnson. And, Johnson is not looking for the new head coach. Oh, you're right. It's probably that president guy whose name I can't remember. It better be fucking Joe. Like, it's got to be not going to be. Yeah, it'll be some committee or something. Yeah, this is where they'll always end up with a terrible head coach and never get people. And it's embarrassing. I get I don't I don't mind it. I don't mind it because the Opposite side of this is this. is to show that you're an organization that is classy. And there is I know it's like whatever to hate gays, trust me, I fucking hate him and I want him so fucking gone. But there is something classy, something because there's really very little benefit one way or another. At this point, cases doing us a favor by coaching horribly. That's right. And he's proving the point. So there's a couple things. One, as I said before, You look good to the rest of the NFL because you're like, look, we gave this guy enough rope and he hung himself to we're not firing people mid season because it's an upset to the organization and there's really not much that's gonna good to come of it. Fire a guy when you have a when there's something good to come of it. We're gonna let him finish out his season and we're gonna fire him on Monday and that will be that and that's just the way it's gonna be. I think there's something classy to that. It's a little bit like giving someone, you know, giving an organization a two week notice or something like you can fire them a walk into the door. We can say, look, we always give two weeks notice and whatever. So one way or the I mean, you can look at it from that perspective, and be like, Oh, well, that makes it a little more attractive for the next person. Like you're coming into work for like people who are not just going to fire you if you're on for or whatever, they'll give you the
01 Jake: Look, they gave him, in reality, you can look at it and say, they gave him a chance at 0 and 5 to like go 11 and 5. Like, there's nothing stopping you from going 11 and 5. When you're 0 and 5, there isn't. All you have to do is win the games. What we're like, that's it. You can't. We are guaranteeing by watching him coach further is that I've gone from. I just don't think he'll ever work in the NFL again. I know he won't. There's zero jobs for him. He has proven that he is not only a pretty bad human being, I guess a little rough, but like, there's there's just, there's nothing there. And it shows how much we missed like how what a swing and a miss on a guy who like Oh, I don't know. There's no like, what's his next job? Like a quarterback coach? Does he have to take two steps back? Like where did who's hiring him to coach a quarterback? Now as a typical New York Jets thing, if we go look at our so you can predict the type of coach coach we're going to get because It's always a pendulum, right? It's like, you get this type of guy, you go back and get this type of guy, you get the you come from Rex Ryan, so you get the you get you know, the boisterous whatever defensive guys, so you swing the other way and you get the quieter guy, then you go defensive, oh, now we're going to go offensive guy, like I'd love to go look at say like what's the pendulum saying as like the overreaction right because it's always an overreaction like should we overreact this way because they thought this guy was both a quarterback whisperer and offensive offensive genius. So offensive guy and they totally missed I mean I might take on it and where I would go. I would go look for like the top special teams in the league and go look at those coaches and see what experiences they've had and see if any of them can be a head coach because. So you're saying best off. Well, he's a little old, but yeah, like someone like that who like. doesn't have really much of like, like the special teams kind of, in my opinion, like they, they have to react really well to like, good or bad defenses or offenses. Like it doesn't matter. Special teams has to do their thing regardless. Like if you're playing field position, alright well that's a strategy and you've got to be able to pull that off as a special teams unit. You have to be able to kick and cover. Like we're not good at that right, we don't do that very well. But I feel as though teams who do special teams really, really well have a very big advantage. And I feel like special teams coaches see the game like a lot differently because they're looking at both the offense and the defenses impacting what they do. So I wouldn't mind going in that direction. Like...
03 Jake: Let's see if there's a special teams team, I don't know. See, I'm here. I'm going to name off some names. They won't be quick. I got too many. No, keep the guy who shows up. Just keep going. Todd Bowles on this list. He's on the list. Matt Campbell, the Iowa State head coach, Eric Ben Benamy is the one I want. That's what I want. That's what I want. Brian DeBole, Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator. Leslie Frazier. No, thank you. Now, Byron left, Twitch. Yeah, that's interesting. I don't like it. That's interesting to me. Josh McDaniel. No. That will never happen though. Todd Monken, Georgia Bulldog. That's interesting. Jack Del Rio, no. Greg Roman, no. Oh, Greg Roman's interesting. No. No. Brian Schottenheimer. Ha ha, no. That's also interesting. I've... No. I think he's a principal. He's a Peter principal. He's a guy who goes up to a like he can't handle he's a great offensive coordinator. How do you know he's never even gotten the opportunity? I'm calling it so I'm saying he's a he's the guy as a Peter principal. We'll learn that. We'll we'll boost an offensive coordinator and we'll learn. You're willing to do it with B enemy and not shot and timer. Like why are you willing? Why? Like, I don't know what I what like criteria are you doing that you're just saying it? Yes, I'm saying it. Okay, I just I looked at it looked at his record. I've looked at whatever. I think he's gonna be good with the with the players. That's who I want. All right. Well, let's do some things. All right. How how did you do? I don't I don't pick unless we do the podcast. So you suck. Okay, I'm doing well, we still have to read off who's doing well or not just because you can do that. I don't care. All right. So last couple weeks. It's been really bad. I did get two weeks ago, I had 11. So I was like awesome week 11. But I've not been doing very well overall. Sam bam. Thank you, ma'am is in first place with 93. And then it's UK life with 88. But it's pretty bad season. I'm at 80. So kind of not out of it. But like last week, I had a three burger. That's really terrible. You're way down at the bottom making the excuse that you don't play. So excuse, it's true. No, no, it's the excuse. Because you can't remember to click a button every week. Oh, remember, it's I don't do it. I just don't. No, dumb. Dumbest thing you've said, dumb. And you're done. All right, so let's make some picks. Go for it. We're going to do the jacking to pick them, avoiding all the AFCs, which are our four individual games this week. And then we're going to pick the, we're going to do the throne picks and we're going to
02 Jake: pick the keys, the castle for us to lose again. And let's go. No Thursday night this week because last weekend did on Wednesday. So I you know what there would have been a time in my life where you said football every day. Don't you love it? I'd be like no I don't like it. I don't like I think that's too much. I think basketball all these sports that football games all the time I think is annoying. I want my football. I want it on Sundays. I like having it on Sundays. You're going to do it on Sundays and Monday and Tuesday. Oh, God. Here we go. We actually have a good slate here because we have four, four o'clock games and two Monday games and a Tuesday. It's interesting. Well, it started off Sunday at one o'clock. We have New Orleans going to Atlanta. New Orleans is favored by three on the road. I like that. Taste of the hill. Taste of the hill. Yeah, maybe another game. Yeah, I'll do I'll do new ones for that. We have Chicago hosting Detroit. Chicago's favored by three. Detroit, I think they get that new head coach off the by bump and I like Detroit. Yeah, I do not like Detroit. Chicago is a bad team, but they're better. They're better at home with all those fans. They started off five and one and they're like. Five and six now, it's no good. Um, not good at all. Talk about missing on quarterbacks again. The amount of quarterbacks people miss on. They really, really miss. Didn't they sell a lot to get up to get that guy? Didn't they? No, a lot. They moved up like one pick, like from three to two. But they passed the thing that they did was they picked Mitch Trebisci and within the next 10 picks were Deshaun Watson and and then Patrick Mahomes. Like, that's what they did. That's enough to jump off a bridge. All right. Tennessee is hosting Cleveland. Tennessee favored by five and a half. I think they're much better than that. Tennessee is really good. I like them. I'm going to pick them. I don't like it too much. I'm going Cleveland. We'll skip this one. We'll go to the next one. Minnesota is hosting Jacksonville. Minnesota favored by nine and a half points. I'm gonna pick Jacksonville because I think Mike Glennon is starting again. And I think that they're like, well, he's better than the other guys. So I think that gives them a better shot. This could this be the worst historical year of quarterback play ever? Could be. Anyway, it very well be. I'm going to take the Jacksonville Jaguars. Okay. Indy goes to Houston. Yeah, they do. Indy favored by three. I like Indy. Now, thank you.
01 Jake: All right, four o'clock. Here we are. How many fours? Four fours. Four fours. This is like a full slate. I don't think there's any buys. So and the NFL didn't screw it up and put the Giants and Jets at the same time zone. No, they didn't just tell. That's only because the Giants are out west. I think that's the only reason. So the Rams. are going to Arizona and the Rams are favored by three. I'm going to take the home team and those three points. Rams have not showing up. I'm going to go. I'm going to go with the zone. I think they're kind of fun. That's actually like there's the game I watch. I watch that game. Like, Oh, okay. Rams have a better record than Arizona. Factually seven and four against six and five. So yeah, close. They are fired. Seattle hosting the Giants. Seattle favored by 10. I think that has to do with Daniel Jones and his injury. This is looking because this line jumped from seven and a half to 10. I think that tells me Daniel Jones is not playing in this game. So I'll take Seattle. Yeah, that's I usually don't like too many points, but this has been a big blowout year. So I'll go Seattle. And then Giant's backup is like Colt McCoy or something. Oh, oh. That's a tough one. All right, Green Bay is hosting Philly. This line also jumped from seven to nine and a half. There's a lot of noise around Carson Wentz and how bad he's been this year. and that they picked a guy, Jalen Hurts. They want fans are like, they want to see Jalen Hurts play. I think that that's going to get in their head. I like Green Bay here, 9 1'5, I don't care. Oh, 9 1'5 is just too much. Green Bay has been really odd this year. I feel like they haven't been covering very well. So I just think it'll be closer than that. Maybe it'll be Wences like, I'll show you. All right, Pittsburgh. What? Now, I was just looking at the next one that we're skipping. It's like, oh, I didn't mean to skip this. I skipped two. Kansas City. Sorry, I skipped that one. Kansas City is hosting Denver. 14 points. Is Denver like still without quarterback? I or is this just the line? I feel like this is just the line. I'm going to pick Kansas City. I don't think Denver can work. It just seems like so much. Yeah, I feel like it's like a track meet. Like if Kansas City gets out and like they're up like 21 to three, like they're not going to stop. Yeah, they will. They'll just like start running the ball. Yeah, Denver. By the way, how's Belle doing? Anybody paying attention to the Belle stats on the ball? I think they keep them under wraps. They don't need them. Are they waiting for the Super Bowl? I think she's like an injury, like in kind of like an injury thing for them, like a little insurance policy. They have that guy that they drafted in the first round that they like. So let's see what he did in this last game versus Tampa. I'll tell you. I'll tell you what he did.
03 Jake: He did almost nothing. Mm-hmm. I mean, not that he would be helping our team. It's just still that we got zero for him. Just like a bucket of wings would have been nice. Well, we got to pay him a lot of money. That's not a thing. No, he had five rushes for 22 yards in this last game. He also had two catches for 10. So not really touching the ball much. Okay, moving on. Oh, okay. Moving on. So that means we got Pittsburgh. This is Monday. Monday at 5 p.m. East. They just played last night. That's a short turnaround. This is like playing on a Thursday. If you think about it right? Sunday to Thursday. Wednesday to Monday. Yeah. Kind of like that. These Steelers, I mean, they're undefeated. Only undefeated record. And their schedule has been... completely food barred. Like, I don't think they had a bye week this year. If I were them, I would have a big go to a hospital. No, I'd have everybody go to the hospital, get some COVID and then and then get like a bump for a week. So they could write. Right? Like, we get our buyer ready? Like, I don't think they got one this year. It's not cool. Anyway, Pittsburgh's hosting Washington, it's nine and a half and I feel as though Pittsburgh is going to win that game by a lot of points. Yeah, I agree. Give me Pittsburgh. All right. And we'll skip that one and go to Tuesday. So they put on a Wednesday night and then a Tuesday night. Wow. That's Baltimore. Wow, wow, wow, wow. Loosing Dallas. And there's no line here. We don't have a line. We don't know who the quarterback is for Baltimore, I assume, is the issue. And also we get hurt. I don't even know if we know how many players Baltimore will even have available to them at this point. So. And Lamar Jackson, I'm not paying anything more attention than the Jets. Was it COVID or did he get hurt? COVID. So he could be back. No, no, no, he's he had COVID. So like, there's two, as I understand it, there's two like, you're out for COVIDs in the NFL. One is you have tested positive, and we've retested and you definitely have this, right? The second is, you were in close contact like contact tracing. Like you were in the room with Lamar Jackson. So like you're out and then you have to test back in. Right. Like you're not you don't necessarily have it, but like you're around that guy. And we know that it could take a couple of days to like see that result come back. So like you could test back in like you can test back in like day of game even. I think that Roethlisberger had that happen to him twice this year. Anyway, Baltimore, Dallas, the line is off. I'm just gonna pick Dallas. Yeah. Oh, I'll just take
06 Jake: Baltimore. I don't know. It was weird this year. They're like a funky team. They're a funky breed. Yeah, that's true. They were starting so strong too. But Dallas is trash fire. They're three and eight. I know, but like Baltimore's not played well recently and they don't have that quarterback and that's really the identity of that team. So they're not built to do anything else, but what he does, like that's the whole team. What you do is what you do. All right, let's go. Let's go some AFC East. Yeah, let's do it. I don't even have the lines here. I have. Don't even care. No, don't say that. Come on. Our fans. Our fans care. Thanks for watching! I'll see you next time! All right. Well, Cincinnati is going to Miami. And I'm just going to assume that Miami is favored by 11 and a half. Yes. Got it. You love this. I love how you just this is just never makes sense. Never makes sense. It's like the one you have it. I'm looking at one math thing that doesn't make sense to you. like with numbers like well, and like, as I try to do it, reversing it from where it sits on the other thing while I talk to you and record the podcast. So it's like more than one thing going on. Whatever, whatever. Anyway, that's not Miami. Um, no, Joe Barrow, obviously for the rest of the year for Cincinnati. So it's kind of a trash fire for them at the quarterback position. And I don't even know if it's Tua or if it's Fitz. I don't know if it matters. I think Miami wins this in a very similar style to what we just saw them do against the Jets. I'll give Cincinnati 10 points though. But I'm going to give Miami 21 points, which puts me right at the line. So I'll have Cincinnati covering, but it'll be 21 10 Miami. Now, I think it'll be farther out to I think is making headway is what I read. So like there was there was some he was throwing in the game before the Jets. Like he was like looking like he maybe could do a miracle thing. So I think he'll be back. I think they're, I don't know if that really helps them be a better team or not. Like I think it's kind of a toss up at this point. I mean, obviously explosion. I think the wind by a bunch more since he is a trash fire. Let's go 24 six dolphins. All right. We got Buffalo going to San Francisco. This is Monday night. Uh, the, the normal Monday night game, like the regularly scheduled Monday night game. Uh, this is a good one. I like, I like watching these teams actually. I think they're both kind of interesting to watch. I have enjoyed watching the bills.
01 Jake: I have a little soft spot for them and I always have, but this year they've been pretty good and it's kind of fun to watch. I like Josh Allen. I think he's good. Um, And I think that they just have too much for an injured San Francisco team right now. I'll take Buffalo 26-16. Agree, Buffalo, agree, winning, agree in the 20s. Actually, we're very close. I think it's Buffalo's team. Buffalo's game to lose, 24-19. Yeah, really is. I know Buffalo. I kind of have the division almost wrapped up. Almost. Scary. All right. New England is going to play the Chargers in LA. The line is a pick them. Right. It's not off. It's just pick zero. Just a pick. These are the types of games that I think New England just wins. They just go up against. They go up again, baby. Yeah, they go up against like a younger rookie quarterback, a less experienced head coach. This is one of those games that I feel like Belichick wins, kind of, like the coach wins this game. I think it'll be somewhat low scoring. So I'm going to go 17-13. I'm going to go a little bit higher than that. I think doing little win. Don't know if I truly believe in in the Chargers any more than anybody else really believes in the Chargers. At a three and 18, so I'm going to go higher though. I think it'll be higher scored game 3120. Patriots. And here we go to the game of the day. Our minute, the game that'll be over 10 minutes in, I guess. We got the Raiders of Las Vegas. Coming to New York to play us? Yes, it's so so let's let's let's get a little later. They're even allowed to play. And like, because wait, we skipped over this, right? San Francisco is not allowed to play. Yeah, they're in lockdown. So they're somewhere else, right? They have to go play. Yeah, some other place. in Vegas, like where they play. And we're we're allowed to play in our stadium, but we're not obviously no fans. I will give a shout out for the guys who are doing the fake sounds in the stadium. Two things I'm going to shout out and a boo down or whatever. The shout out is last week when the call went against us, we didn't even talk about the catch no catch me. Doesn't matter. Like it wasn't going to change the game. But But it was great when the call came back that they overturned or they kept the call stand that we didn't and the guy caught the ball or didn't guess the ball. I guess it's caught the ball when it wasn't a catch and they threw in the booze. I was like, yes, they got the booze, right? I do want to say to the people who are doing the sounds.
09 Jake: We don't do the Jets chant like on 39. Like when the Jets are 39, we don't do a J.E.T.S. That's not what that's meant for. The Jets chant is meant for touchdowns, scores, huge plays, like, or huge defensive stands. It's not meant for Jets are 39. J.E.T.S., Jets, Jets, Jets. No, no. So stop it. They just wanted to get it out there because they know that we're never scoring. So they just wanted to like get that sound effect out there. They were they were playing it the stupidest times. It's like, don't play it then anyway, they just want to get it out there. All right, he's the castle. I got it. Here's the keys. It's hard for me because I can never pick against the jets. And I'm going to say, you're so silly. And I'm going to pick them to win. Here's the keys of the castle. Come on. Chucky. Something something loses Sam Donald amazing jets win. All right. When 1817 Which just feels like the year that we last were a good team. If there's anything we have going for us in this game, it's that we can oftentimes stop bigger running backs who like to run the ball up the middle. Like we actually can do that one thing most of the time. Quinn and Williams is playing really well. How about that? It's actually like playing well, like kind of popping off the screen a little bit. It's kind of nice. So that would be the key is to kind of shut that Raiders running game down. Like, because that is the engine that drives the Raiders. Everything else comes off of that running game. A lot of play action, a lot of short passing, a lot of, and then that opens you up to get and hit. like over the top really fast guys. They're tight ends really good. Darren Waller. So that's going to be a challenge. We're not good at that. And I just see the Raiders overpowering us in the second half. You know, I think it might be close like at halftime. I think I'm going to predict this twice. Halftime 1710 final score 3410. That's how it's going to go. Um, because I think, and I would have a scoring more than 10, I think we'll be in position, but we're going to end up going for it. I'm forced down a lot because we'll just be down and not getting it. So that's my prediction as to how this will go down. Yeah, I think, you know, again, chances of winning this game, slim. We're gonna win one of these games. We're gonna. I just don't see it. They're just not that
03 Jake: they're just not good. They're gonna win one of these games. It's gonna happen. It would have been that Patriots game, honestly. Yeah, it would have been that one because we kind of played fairly well in that game. And we may beat them in week 17 or 18 or whatever. We play them again. So go Jags, win some more games. Seriously with Mike Glennon, it's there better. It's a better chance for them to win with my glass. So we need them to win a game or two because we're going to win a game. We just need the Jags to give us that one game. I don't want to have a season. I just think that I think that as a as a organization, that's a terrible thing. One Wednesday. Yes, a bad look. It's like the season you what you do here like game. You're you're in like there's only a handful. You're in this company with like the Lions. Yeah, like, you know, really awful. I'll see twins. Dolphins went. Oh, I was a terrible team. But look what Flores is doing with that team. He took that Adam Gace, awful dolphins. who over the last two years have gotten better, we took Adam Gase and over the last two years have reverted to a winless team. You can just look at that over the last year and a half, new coach there, new coach here, what happened, and you can just tell he's awful. Anyway. Let's leave it there because I have to run. You got to go. All right. It's Jake. It's Justin. It's me. It's Let's Go Jets. and the
