00:09 Jake: 3, 2, 1, go! Go! Welcome to the Jet King podcast, the longest running New York Jets podcast in the planet. Earth, that is. ... ... I'm Jake and joining me back in New York, out of Pat's country, just in time for the Pat's game is Justin. Justin, how are you doing today? Justin: Yeah, I'm back in New York. I've been told right on time because they've kind of stopped just carrying the Jets games up where I was. Jake: Well, you would have been fine this week because it's... Justin: Yeah, this week would have been perfect. Well, actually, it's Monday night, so it would have gotten it anyway. So prefer for it to not have been Patriots, because then would have gotten that one too. But either which way, they're like, it's no longer. They're basically like, we're not covering the Jets up here anymore. Like, this is stupid. Let's put on the different team that maybe you'll get a better rating. Because like. The Jets are terrible. What else is there to say? And they're not even, they're barely, they're not fun to watch. Let's see. They're not at all fun to watch. They're barely even watch a bowl as an actual football team. Like we're not even sure. Like these players. I don't even know. I don't even know what to say about this team anymore. They're really, really bad. The joke of it is that we played, I think, our best half of football in the first half of like the whole year. And we were losing. And we scored nine points. And we scored nine points the whole game. Like, and that's the joke of it all. It's like, oh, we were down. like whatever it was, 21-6 or something like that, or 21-9 at half, is that accurate? And then what do we do? Nothing. We did literally nothing in the second half, which is just brutal. Like that's what just keeps happening. And we had the ball in the third quarter to start. the half like it's 21 9 here you go kick it off to us maybe we scored touchdowns 21 16 and hey it's a ball game but no we go three and out like 18 times in a row in the second half i feel like we didn't even have the ball what did we get five yards in the second half i think Jake: we're just we're just it it is It's really hard to judge because of course, you know, it's I mean We'll statistically we can look at the end of the year and say how many games they win how well they did it blah blah blah, but it is it is It is one of the worst just all-around teams like it's just like everything around it is just so bad And good no good there and you and you're trying every week. You're like, hey, I'd like to watch like let me you know
03:01 Jake: We've done this we've been at the end of you know, two in seasons and you're like, oh yeah, the last game, what are we gonna watch? What are we looking for? What's the silver lining to this? And it's usually players, right? It's usually like, all right, let's look for this guy. Let's look for this rookie. Let's look for this guy performed. Let's look for something. The Joe McKnight, the Joe McKnight game Justin: against the Buffalo Bills. Sure. Remember those types of games. Remember like we played like Peyton Manning late in the season once and it was like, oh, we picked him off. That was like a... Jake: good thing to do. But you don't want to end you don't want to end. And this is this is where I'm hoping it happens. But like, there is a thing about going into the offseason. Just absolutely the worst team in the planet versus like showing some hope showing like there is some reason and I think for the free agency and for hiring a next head coach and all that At this point though, is there any question, like percentage chance and you have and take into account that we have some of the worst owners in the league. percentage chance that they don't fire Gates at the end of season. Justin: Well, I mean percentage chance they don't. Jake: Yeah, or yeah. Either way, percent of the fire, yeah. Justin: Because I can't say 100% that he's fired. We can't. You can't just say it's a certainty, right? 99.9999999. However many nines you want to go out until you get to like almost sure fire thing, except there's a. So you're saying there's a chance, right? Like a one in a billion. Sure. But I can't see how the ownership from a couple of different angles looks at this and says, oh, let's keep this guy. Number one, you have regressed incredibly. Number two. we're halfway through a season and we've won zero games and it doesn't look like we're gonna win any. So like you can look at it right now and just say that's been terrible. No, no, no, we're not even close. Like and and third like the fan base like as an owner, yeah, do you want to take the cues from the fans? No, you don't want to do that. But you do want to like have a pulse on like what's going on. Like those are your fans. Those are your people who are paying the money to watch your team. play the football game, and if they're like super pissed off with good reason, like maybe you do fire the guy because the fans fucking hate him. Like we're not showing up to watch Adam Gaze coach this team next year. I will tell you I'm not. If Adam Gase is the coach next year of the New York Jets, I'm out. I'm done. Like, there's no reason to watch a football team coached by this guy. You're going out so bad. Yeah, I'm going on a hiatus until he's gone. Like, next year,
06:00 Justin: like there's no reason to go into an offseason and go through a whole program with this coach who has proven. every time that he is awful. This is his fifth season in the league. He has lost more games by two scores than he has won games. That doesn't even include the losses by less than two scores. We have scored 10 points or less in the last four games, five of the last six. That includes a shutout. This is an offensive head coach. That's all failure. Oh yeah. This is all failure. I don't care who the weapons are. I really don't. It's irrelevant to me. Like, go do, go make things happen with what you have. And it's, it's also like if you just look at the history of this guy and gaze, shit gets better when he leaves. I mean, in Miami... After three years, they went ahead and said, all right, this ain't working. Let's hire this guy Flores from Miami, from New England. And he looks like a good coach. And they look like a better team. They look like a real team in a second year in a system. We're in a second year in a system. We're breaking it all down. We're trading guys away. We're just saying, fuck this, this is done. Like, we've fucked this up. Jake: Let's come back to that because that's that's not an Adam Gase thing. That's a Joe Douglas thing. And I agree with that. I mean, again, we've been saying, I don't know, since the beginning that we don't like this guy didn't like this guy. Haven't seen it didn't see it last year didn't see. I don't think there's any game where like, oh, that was a really well coached game last year. I mean, he So, okay, so there's two chances, there's two things gonna happen. So you're saying 99. I'm like 95% chance he gets fired at the end of season, just five percent for the frick of it, you got to count all the votes. So, but I think there's two shots here, right? There's obviously end of season. And the reasoning for that is, you don't want to put the team in turmoil, you don't want to, you know, that's what that's what the more respectable thing is let the guy have a full season, blah, blah, blah, you got to start your search like firing in mid season is not considered, you know, fair play or whatever. It's just whatever. And then there's obviously after this game, right? There's the bye, right? You fire the coach before the bye. I guess on the on the guys of you give whoever you're putting in hind toward it to be the head coach. Two weeks to like, holy shit, I got a pile of poo poo here and I got to make it into a beautiful mound of poo poo. And you give him two weeks to do so, or whatever, an extra week to do - a a. the so. So I don't know, I can't, I guess I'm ready for him to be fired because I want the certainty of him to be fired. Like I want him to be gone, so I can at least go, great, I don't have to worry about. I don't have to worry about him winning out and then being like, well, you want to. Justin: Or going or going six and two, which he did last year.
09:02 Justin: Right. Last eight games. And then you look at it and you're like, oh, okay. But we should have been like, nah, that's bullshit. Like those are all bullshit wins. And this is what we do. We get excited. It's like we talk ourselves into stuff because that's the decision that was made. And it's like, I wish that. You have to get behind the behind the behind the behind. I know you get behind him, but it's like, oh, this sucks. You know, I only use the Giants as an example because they're the easiest team to sort of compare to because they're right next door and the games are on and all that. Why is it that when I watch Daniel Jones play and they lose games too and he sometimes loses them for them, the Giants. But why do I feel like he has a better chance than Sam Darnold? Chance to what? Win the game or chance to succeed in that moment and in the long term? It just looks like this guy, while he makes the same dumbass mistakes... It's like, oh, he just looks like a more competent player and baffling to me. Yeah, I don't- What he just is, I don't know. Jake: I don't actually, I don't feel that. Like I look at Sam Darnan, I'm trying to be as reasonable as possible. I'm trying to be like, don't get, you know. Justin: He's a disaster because- I don't think he is. The shit, the positions we put him in, it's a disaster. Yeah, well that's- Well, I mean, come on. Do but he's not in the back of a quarterback like yeah, well, you are if you can't gain more than Jake: 10 yards and a half as a football team, your quarterbacks part of the problem if he plays every if he plays every position fine if he's the guy who's dropping all the balls fine if he's the guy who's calling the offense that's terrible fine if he's playing against the world champion chiefs. Justin: Fine, like I'm sorry, but when you're losing and and and in the whole fourth quarter their backup quarterback is in So like you're totally getting dominated You should be chucking the ball around and for us to not gain more than like a few yards in the whole entire half of football It's an entire half of football that we gained like no yards Part of that's on the quarterback. Part of that's like, dude, come on. You can't put one drive together. We're going three and out five times in a row here, and we're down by 20. What's going on with that? How is that a thing? Some of that's got to be on the quarterback not making the right throw or not seeing the right thing, but not checking into the right thing. Come on. Jake: If you're going back and looking at it from a stats, and I agree. But I'm looking at it from I'm watching this game and I'm sitting there watching. Big ass screen in front of me, paying deep attention to the quarterback, watching him play on the field. And you would always say this. You'd say this about all the backups. You can see that guy doesn't know what he's doing. He's not a professional quarterback. That guy, like he's making terrible passes. He's not making great decisions. You're watching the actual play, by play, by play. not at the end, right?
12:00 Jake: You're watching the play and you watch him make a play and throw it and the guy lands in the guy's hands and he just drops it. And you're like, what? Or you watch them play the same offensive play three times in a row. And you're like, well, isn't the defense going to figure that out? And like how you can actually make that throw. So I'm just saying from a trying to keep my blinders on. Do I think that Sam Darnold doesn't have the talent, the brains, the. brawn, the height, the width, the strength of arm, the ability to make all the throws. No, I still think he has all the talent. I think he still has all the way. I think he's in the shittiest system I've ever seen in my life. And this is like literally the shittiest system I've ever seen. I think he's got some of the worst weapons I've seen on the on the on the jets ever, ever. And I'm not even from a head coach, but from a head coach head coach, he's in, it's probably the worst head coach I've ever seen head coach ever. So like, I'm, I'm, Justin: you were not around for coach. I was apparently not. Jake: started watching the jets, which is a great decision by you by Justin: The Exactly. That was like the big, it was like the big like we can, we cannot have a shit show like this. Let's go get a, let's go get Bill Parcells. That was it. That was the thing. Yeah. Like let's go get Bill Parcells because we just had the worst coach ever. So that was like, I think it was like three and 13. And then the second year of code state was like one in 15. I'm pretty sure that's how it went. It might have been one in 15, one in 15. I can't remember exactly was a long time ago. But he was God awful. It was this bad. It was like hopeless. Every game, hopelessness, it was good. You'd go into the game, you'd be like, how much we gonna lose by? Well, thanks, God for Jake: the reason I picked the Jets, because I came back to New York, and I was a New Yorker and living in New York City and gone to school in upstate New York and watched the bills for four years in College. Yeah, and I probably saw them go to some Super Bowls. I went to solve them go to many Super Bowls. And I was like, but I didn't want to be a Bills fan. Because I was like, you know what? They're like Buffalo. They're not New York. So I had the choice, the Jets or the Giants. And the Giants were good. They were the Patriots. You could have chosen the Patriots. Justin: That's pretty good. No, no. That's where you really went wrong. You could have totally enjoyed the last 20 years, my friend. Jake: But then my, you know, my boss was a Jets fan. He totally enjoyed it. Trust me. The Jets Justin: were terrible. I wanted root for the underdog. There was the underdog at that time, man. You really just you have it you have it in your blood. Like, you know, your family's from up there. You could have done it. Yeah, now. Oh, that's a regret. That's a regret. Where's
15:09 Jake: the Pats Kingdom podcast will start up soon. Justin: I could have started by like written for Drew Bledsoe and Curtis Martin, your favorite player, you could have just Jake: started there. Yeah, I mean, I would say when I started when I started as a Jess fan and the and the and the Pats weren't good. I used to like the Pats like I used to like I liked Drew Bledsoe. I liked Curtis Martin. I like you know, like and I know there's a rivalry, but they were never like Justin: No, it wasn't a rivalry because we were no good and they were no good. Like our rivalry was, you know, that was when I was a kid, it was always Miami, Miami, Miami. I think actually all the AFC East, the three that are in the Northeast, I think all considered Miami, the team. Right. like the rival because they're down to my end. Yeah back then it would have been five teams so yes the Colts were a part of that and they had just drafted Peyton Manning so it's very nice to just get him the fuck out of the division because we would have to deal with him and Brady for like Jake: 15 years that wouldn't have been any fun. All right, so let's move off. So we went through the game. The game was terrible. Justin: Yes, we sucked. I mean, we sucked. Pat Mahomes is really good, turns out. He can just do things. It was kind of amazing in the first half, the time of possession. Like, we had the ball most of the half, but they had all the points because they would score in like four plays. Yeah, they don't need that. So that's like a real offense. That's like a real offense with fast guys just running around in motion everywhere and confusing the crop out of you and yeah, awesome. Anyway, moving right along. We traded another couple dudes. Yeah, I guess the you know, a couple guys that... some names, some not. You know, we're kind of just trading dead salary or just, you know, money dumping it. So, McClendon was traded a couple weeks ago. We didn't cover that. Literally during the game. Before, the night before. Oh, right. And he couldn't. He still played. He couldn't go because of COVID. So basically, he's like, I'm going to play with my brothers on the Jets one last game, just leave field. So I liked Steve McClendon. I came off great. You know, he went to the Bucks where he reunited with Todd Bowles. So obviously, he's a good guy, you know, when the old coach wants you there, that's a good sign. So, you know, not, you know, Jake: good leader who walked out the door. How many players on the New York Jets are from, that are under Adam Gace, that were under his tutelage somewhere else? Justin: Um, I don't know if any. I feel like Frank Gore played with him maybe for a year in Miami.
18:03 Justin: Well, that would make a lot of sense. Frank Gore is giving getting all the all the snaps. I think that's it. I maybe there was an offensive lineman in the in the group. Perhaps I'm not sure. I don't think there's anyone on the defensive side of the ball. I don't think anyone follows Adam Gace around. Well, I think that's I don't think that's a thing. Jake: I think that's the thing. We should be thoughtful of that. And we look at our next head coach or offensive, you know, whatever. I remember it very specifically against hard not to think about Rex Ryan and blah, blah, blah, but like that when he came over and he pulled, I think it was three Justin: big players. It was three guys. He brought in Jim Leonard in the secondary. He brought in Bart Scott. at the linebacker and he brought in, I can't remember his name, a defensive end who was not a big name but like a player who knew his system and who he was like a grinder that he knew would work out. So he got a guy at each level, right, the linebacker and then to protect with Jim Leonard and he was kind of the quarterback because he knew the system. Nobody followed Adam Gace around. Nobody, Adam Gace didn't come in and be like, I need this guy to do my stuff. Jake: Dear Johnson brothers, please, as you do your next set of homework in an upcoming months, please make sure that you call up the teams and you talk to players and you get their honest and open opinion, because my- feeling is everybody in fucking Miami hated Adam Gaess. And if anybody had done a little research, they would have figured out that the players fucking hated him. The ownership him that everybody hated him. And you didn't know what they didn't do. They didn't do the interviewing thing where you call up and you get the reference checks. It's like reference check this motherfucker. Yeah, there is. Justin: I feel like the league is too small almost like Get that? But what you did here, or see, or get was, I mean, Jamal Adams did it. He's like, get me the fuck out of here. This guy's a piece of shit. And now he's with one of the best coaches in the league, Pete Carroll. All right. Who was our coach? Yeah, a couple of the best coaches in the league happened to be our coaches in the past, but whatever. That's neither here nor there. But yeah, like guys, guys don't follow it. Adam Gates around. They're not like, oh, let me go play for Adam Gates. Jake: No, we got rid of Avery Williamson, which did honestly, I watching him has kind of been disappointment all season. It seems like every time there's a miss tackle or someone like running free, it's like it's his job to get to hit that player. I don't think we're going to get back Friday's name next year. I think he's gone. You can mostly gone forever. So it's it's it's a rebuild. I and you know what? Again, the only hope that you have as a Jess fan right now is in Joe Douglas. That's the only hope you have. You can't have it in the in the hiring of you know these Johnson assholes.
21:00 Jake: You can't have it in the head coach. The only hope you have here. Joe Douglas knows what he's doing. He's doing the fire sale. This team is clearly not going anywhere. And he's like, let's get the next two years. It's really next two years. Cause it's not, he's not just getting draft picks for next year. He's getting them for the year after as well. You're going to have a pile of picks for the next two years. I missed it. I missed it. He missed the window. The window is gone. I don't think the windows, you're talking about the Sam Justin: Darnold first three years. Cause now, well now you have. you're going into an offseason where you're going to have to make a big time decision because you're going to have the number one overall pick. I don't think I don't think they will. You don't think the Jets are going to have the number one overall pick? Nope. Why? Why do you feel that way? I just because I'm a Jets fan because we don't get it. Well, this is not this is not like a by chance or a lottery thing. This is just the worst team in the league gets it. Like we're not winning a game. I understand that. I understand that the Jake: the worst team though he gets it but We are also there's there's another one. Well, okay, so Giants have won one. Okay, right? More than we're gonna win. We're gonna win one. Yeah, we are. Justin: Please explain that. Please explain. But you've watched this team. You just told me 10 minutes ago, I watch very intently. I focus, I pay a lot of attention. Please tell me. What are you seeing that makes you think that they're going to win a game? There's nothing there. I just told you they've scored 10 points or less in the last five of six games. They've scored more than 20 points one time this year in total and they lost that game because they gave up 37. They tend to give up 30 points or more and they tend to score 10 or less. It's kind of a thing that you can't win that way. Jake: You have two winnable games and honestly, this is the... I watched... I mean, the Patriots are a clusterfuck. I'm sorry. Yeah, so are the Jets. They're gonna embarrass us. Like, we make bad teams look very good. Great. This is a win-win for me. We lose to the Pats. Hopefully, Gace is gone the morning after. He doesn't even get on the plane. They leave him in Boston to just be... Justin: But to be really clear though, we really bungled this window. So like, if you look at the other teams in our division, the Bills, they did not bungle the window. They are on track. They're going to win the division with their, with their, the same, the quarterback that was drafted in the same classes, our quarterback, they built the team around him properly. Miami. They're hitting their window right now. They built up the team, they got the coach in, now they have their number five overall pick about to start football games. They won last week with them. Their window is just opening. Ours is like shut. It's slammed shut. There's nobody on the team. We have a quarterback in their third year that we don't know if we're gonna, if that's the guy, we have no idea. It's like, Buffalo knows. They're like, yep, we got our guy. He's our guy for the next 10 years. We don't know the answer. The thing that you hate going into the draft is going to be a thing this year. What do the Jets do at quarterback? Jake: OK, I think it's a win-win.
24:00 Jake: So hear me out. It's a win-win for us. There's two things that could happen. One, we. We win a few games at the end of the year and we get like case gets gone this week. Like let's say we get blown out fine. We do get black. We put in a new we put in a new head coach new office coordinator. There's there. I've seen this a million times there's a there's a bump. There's the like, oh my god. Thank god the witch is dead. Like let's go let's go. Let's not let's not be a bunch of shit. And so then then there's a competitive streak where we win one or two games, but we don't we don't keep game blown out we look competitive and Sam like you you see a set of tape four or five games you like, okay He isn't he this was a case thing. He looks better. The playbook is better everything. Okay, so then you go great We're picking second or third and we're not worried about sam The other way is fine. Who's out? We got the number one pick. You're gonna pick a quarterback, then you're starting the window all over again. Fine. Then the window starts again. There's your window. Like, that's what everybody that's what you're doing. That's what Miami just what a way to three years. But you said my well, yes, of course. But you just said Miami just started their window. Well, they started the last year's Justin: draft. It's such a well, it's such a waste of what could have been, you know what I mean? Like you have this pick, the third pick in the draft, you pick the quarterback that you actually want. And there's five of them in the first round and you get the one you want. The guy you think is the franchise moving forward. And in his third year, you really still don't know. And it's trending towards he's not the guy. I just don't think it's him. I just That's it. So I tend to agree with you where it's hard to, it's hard to evaluate him in the current situation that he's in. But that's the way you have to evaluate it, unfortunately. And there's Jake: the political situation, right? You have Joe Douglas is in his first year and a half, he's going to get a new head coach, the new head coach is going to want new toys. And if we have the number one pick you're gonna think like, look, if I'm a new head coach coming in, do I want the fourth year, maybe like, I don't know, is he good or not? Or, or do I want like fresh new toys, fresh, fresh, Justin: let's go. I mean, do you ask that coach? Do you say to them, like, Hey, oh, yeah, what would you what would you do with the quarterback? Do you want a new one? Or do you want to play with this guy? And like, is Joe Douglas like Does he go into that conversation with well, I know what I want So depending on what they say to me that's gonna determine whether this is yesterday Jake: He did he did the thing the other day he said Sam is a quarterback of the future He's a quarterback. He I'm sticking with him which which in football means he's gone, right? You should be packing your bag, right literally That's it. I think Joe's already made up his mind. I think if again, if we have the first round, I mean, there's all this talk and whether he stays in college, we get fucked that way. But
27:01 Jake: there's going to be someone who's on the top of the board is number one, who's the best quarterback of the draft who actually wants to come play for the Jets. And there will be a pick and that will be you know, that'll be the jet. Again, I think that's gonna be a I will see, I'll see Sam somewhere else play well and. do well. And then I'll be like, Yeah, that's kind of what we gave up on. But the way the politics work, the way the money works the way you know, I mean, he's on his fourth year, so he doesn't get paid. We can do a fifth year. We can do a fifth Justin: year. This is this year, this is his third year, next year, Jake: his fourth, and then then you have a fifth year option. So we actually have two more years, right? So before you have to make any decisions. Well, you kind of have to make a decision next year. Right. Justin: Next year. You're not paying him a ton next year. No, but you sort of have to start to make the decision like in the off-season, this coming off-season, because he's going into that fourth year and then the fifth year option kicks in which is generally where. they want their new contract and they may hold out and that's where things get, but that's what happened with Jamal. Basically we cut that off by a year and said, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Jake: Is there a scenario in the crazy world of crazy land, which we live in right now, that We do both that we get the first pick that we pick a quarterback that him and Sam battled out in the in the offseason. And either the kids super good, we're not paying a lot for backup, right? It's still Yes, we do have two, you know, top three picks on our team. I see no the teams do it. And then we just let's see what happens if this young guy is super good and just shows up and is the best in the world. Fine. If not, he sits behind Sam, Sam blows up, you trade the I mean, like I feel like unless it's a money thing, more options are better. I'd rather have two or three good quarterbacks on my team that we could pick from than zero. Justin: Yeah, the only question would be like, first, I mean, you're devaluing one or the other if you go that route, right? If Sam, well, think about this way. If Sam beats out Trevor Lawrence for a starting job. Right. That first round pick is worth more than a backup quarterback, but he's not a backup quarterback Well, he is he's not a starting court. Well, he's not a starting quarterback by definition He's a quarterback, but just just hear me do it. They are wait. Just hear me. Stop. Just hear me out If Sam Darnold beats out Trevor Lawrence for a starting gig, it's not the same as like Ryan Fitzpatrick beating out a rookie who didn't have a preseason. It's not the same. It's, oh look, this third overall pick who is still their quarterback of the future just beat this other guy that they drafted to beat the quarterback of the future. What I'm trying to say is, either which way, the loser of that battle... is less valuable than they were before the battle even started.
30:04 Justin: So you make your choice and you get a whole ransom for that number one overall pick if you're down with Sam Darnold or you trade Sam Darnold and get what you can before you go forward with Trevor Lawrence. And you can't step up about their job. Because if, because if Trevor Lawrence can't. beat Sam Darnold out for that job. That number one overall pick, which was worth probably like an entire draft, is worth almost nothing beyond that. Like if Sam Darnold beats Trevor Lawrence out for the job and then Trevor's just sitting there for a year and then the next year you want to trade him and Sam's still beating him out for the job, like Jake: what's he worth at that point? Is he worth? You're making assumptions. You're making assumptions. A lot of assumptions that haven't. that I don't think fall through. First of all, Sam has never finished a fucking season. So even if he beats him out, there's gonna be he's gonna get something happened to him in week four, and there fucking be Trevor Lawrence on the field. And then he maybe fucking lights up, or fucking Trevor Lawrence comes in and blows up and is the best thing ever. Great. Then you let Sam go at the end of the season. That's it. You got the quarterback of your future. I don't know. It seems like a win win. Like, why not? Justin: Why put all of these things in one bag? Well, I mean, you want to get something back from one of these assets. You're not going to use them because you're not going to use them both at the same time. Jake: Of course you're not, but you can have a year to figure out which one is the one you want to keep. Justin: Yeah, but that's like the big argument right now, which is like, hey, assholes, jets, why are you spending time drafting like, you know, linebackers and safeties when you should be drafting wide receivers and running backs for this guy? Like, so what are you going to do? Draft a quarterback? A guy who plays the same position as him to help him? That's awesome. That works. That's great. Let's put a roadblock in his way to help him. Jake: I saw a rope pocket. It's an insurance policy. It's a very expensive insurance policy. Justin: It's not really money. Yes, it is. It's a first overall pick, which is a very valuable asset. If you're using it as an insurance, before the draft, where there's a guy like Trevor Lawrence, which is generational. That thing. Oh, yeah, but dude. Yeah, but... Play a game and then a quarter. Yeah, but that's how it works. Goth and Wentz and RG3 and everyone, all these top picks. King's Ransom. Your next three years of number ones and number twos, like, give it all. Well, if we think we have the quarterback, why wouldn't we do that? We can't get that haul for Sam Darnold. We can't. We can't just say, well, here's Sam Darnold. Give us two number ones for him. He'll be like, ah, fuck you. Jake: I don't think Sam Donald has and I don't think he has value. I don't think there's value on the street for a fourth year quarterback who hasn't shown one way or the other Right, that's kind of the whole point. I'll check the next guy and move on but just keep going because
33:02 Justin: Because there's no value quarterback who's like the third overall pick that you have no idea if he's good or not. And he has no value on the street. That's like such a lame thing. Jake: And I can't wait. If you said we're going into we're going to the training camp with Sam Darl, the number three pick and fucking Trevor Lawrence, the number one pick on our team. And we get to watch them and compete and whatever and see it's not like it's a magic thing you see at the end of the season, you see day to day week to week as they play as they practice. I'm like great. What's the downside of having that? Okay, one of them doesn't have any value, the other one does. Justin: Here's the downside. Here's the downside. Where's that talent around them to make them any better? Two picks in the first round. Get him the talent. That's the point. Yeah, but you have two picks in the first round. One of them you're wasting on him when you could... Well, wait, if you don't want to pick him and you want to surround Sam Darnold with talent, you trade that number one overall pick, you move back a couple spots, you pick up like four number ones and you surround Sam Darnold with actual talent that he requires. Totally. And that's Jake: what Joe Douglas will do during trading game or during that, during that draft. I mean, and if someone comes up with the King's Ransom, again, we have things for this. Justin: But to be super clear, if you pick him. He's no longer worth what he was before you picked him. Of course. Right. Of course. So you are making a bet right then and there to make the pick or not make the pick. And that's a big challenge. Jake: I agree. Wouldn't want to be in his shoes. But generational players, which again, I do not believe in that. But generational players don't show up, but once a generation. So you're sitting there at number one, and unless someone says... To me, it's like three number ones. Like, that's the kind of like, that's what you need. You need to like give me this year's number one, next year's number one. And like, oh, and by the way, like, Justin: this year's number two, and next year's number two, and maybe your entire this year's draft, like maybe this is a Ricky Williams situation. Maybe you just literally give me your entire draft this year, I'll give you this number on overall pick and I got 15 picks to fuck with. and I'm John Idzik, but I'm gonna do it right. And those 15 are gonna turn into eight and they're all gonna be impact players. Awesome, I can live with that. I can roll with those punches. You know, like that works for me. Jake: But there's no good offer at the top and you're sitting there with the generational player and you have a quarterback and pick him and move on. And if someone shows up and it's like, here's something of real value for your... You're who would who would be a backup? Like, where would Sam Donald start right now? And any other? Can you see a team that he would start on? Like what team? Justin: This is kind of a thing. I don't think so. Like, I don't know. He might be. He might actually be the worst quarterback in the league. The worst starting quarterback in the league might be on the New York Jets. Oh, I don't think so. But okay.
36:00 Justin: All right, let's move on. What team does he start for? I don't know. Maybe the Patriots. Maybe he starts on the Patriots, to be honest with you. I think he's probably start ahead of Cam Newton on the Patriots. Jake: Again, I think looking at him, watching him for the last three years, I can't. Justin: Do you think he starts in Carolina? That's a fun question. Do you think he starts in Carolina? Jake: Who's to start in Carolina right now? Justin: Teddy Bridgewater. Jake: Oh, Bridgewater. Justin: Yeah, why not? Three years later, does he still beat him out? Jake: Yes, he does. Justin: Okay, because he's playing pretty good. And they're winning football. They're winning football games without their best Jake: player. And you know, 49ers are getting their asses handed because they're on their third string quarterback and they can't fucking play and the Q sent cowboys are going to get their asses handed to them because they're on their third string quarterback. Could he play for the cowboys right now? Justin: That's not the question. The question was could he start over a real starter? Could he start over DAP? No. No. Could he start over Jimmy G? No. The answer is no. Could he start over the Red Rocket? Well, yeah. But that would mean he's a backup. That means the Jets start a backup quarterback. Jake: Well, at this point, he's looking like more of a backup than he is the number one picker. Justin: Thank you. Great, then we shook out on him. We just evaluated him. He's a backup quarterback. But you tell me with your eyes when you watch the football that he's a starting caliber quarterback, but we can't name a team that he could start over the name starter. I said he's an above average quarterback. That's what I've said all along. I think he's an above average quarterback with him. No team that we've had really like. come up with right off the top of our heads where I mean I just said paths where maybe he would start over Camp Newton. But I don't know like where else does he actually start? This is this is why we got this. Maybe he beats Stafford out for a job who knows I doubt it he probably starts in Washington maybe I guess. Not too many teams maybe Chicago yeah I don't know maybe Jacksonville I don't know. Jake: So I'm willing to I think it's again, I'm hoping that we can I don't actually want to be burdened with the first round first pick I think that is a terrible burden I don't think teams turn that into gold as much as we think they do and The best teams don't seem to be up there picking that pick over and over and over and over again Like the best team seemed to not be picking number one you get the number one But then you're just not very good the next year or two years later like Are the Browns that great now? Two, three years later? Are they that great? Are they winning? Have they had winning seasons? Have they gone to the playoffs more times? They're gonna, I think they're gonna go there this year. They're gonna go in that division? Yeah. Why not? Ravens and Pittsburgh, they're gonna go anywhere. They're not, they're not even giving wild card. Those two teams are going to... Justin: How many teams do you think are in the playoffs? Jake: Many, but how many can go from the same division? Justin: As many as four, in theory. They're not going. In reality, three. I don't see why you don't think that's a...
39:03 Jake: I don't think that's a viable... I don't think that's viable, that's why. Why not? I just said because I think I thought it's here with look now this is all I wanted the schedule damn you damn you Justin: Give me the schedule Jake: What is wrong with you? Oh, here we go. All right, so Where are the where are the brownies? right now. The Brownies are... They're five and three. Ravens are five and two. Pittsburgh Steelers are seven. No. It's Pittsburgh all day. Yes. As winning that division. Okay? They're not even... I mean, they're undefeated. Bengals are not competitive. They're two and five. They're not going anywhere. So the question is, can the Browns, who just lost their number one wide receiver, stud of the world for the season, correct? Like he's gone again. Can they overcome the Ravens enough to get into a second in that? And when you have Colt at five and two, Titans at five and two, Chiefs at seven and one. Bills, Miami. Justin: Eh, you're right, it's actually not possible. Tell me, how many teams make the West? Six from each. Oh, no. Seven. Jake: What? Rules changed, my friend. Oh, that's like, that's unfair. Justin: Don't not. It's the way it works this year. Like there's only gonna be one bye. Like that's it. Like that's that's how I there's a 14 team playoff format this year. Jake: One, two, three, third or... Wildcard team. All right. Well then in that case you're right because they're they are in the hunt with any other team. And right there! Justin: And three teams from any division can obviously make it. I mean, last year three teams could make it. Clearly this year three teams can make it. In theory all four could make it. Jake: Their schedule and they play us! So that's good. Then they're gonna crush us! They play the Giants! Justin: And they put them and the Texans you're right all those teams probably Jake: Chance I agree. All right rescinded. All right, let's go on We're not picking any fools the games is well frickin Rick. I'm Rick. I'm How do you do? I mean, you suck. And you're probably like, I'm Justin: not picking anymore. I didn't. But whatever I did fine. He did fine. Even if he didn't pick no, you sucked. Just as good as the Jets. Jake: Let's go. So leading the leading the checking the pick them in 2020 is Sam BAM. Thank you, man with 66 right behind him UK jet life with 61. And then it's a bunch of us losers. I'm down at 55. You are at 42. I allegation promul- I had a terrible week last week with four.
42:03 Jake: I've had basically terrible weeks. Like I've won one week, but like five, four, four, oh, it's just terrible. So let's pick this week. All right, so I already picked this week. Which you picked last night. Oh yeah, San Francisco. So there you go. I'm already. Justin: All right. So that happened last night and Green Bay took care of business there. All right. Here we go. How many 4 o'clock games? One, two, three. Yeah. But the Jets are on Monday night, so that frees up the afternoon on Sunday to really just go to town and watch all the good stuff. So, all right, let's do it. No AFC East, even though one of the best games at one o'clock, I think, is involved in the AFC East team, but we'll get to that. So, all right, we have Atlanta hosting Denver. Atlanta is favored by four, and I don't think Atlanta should ever be favored by more than three. So, Denver. Jake: I'm going to go with Atlanta on this one. Again, I'm picking so badly this year. Whatever. I'm going Atlanta. Justin: Okay. Tennessee's hosting Chicago. Tennessee's favored by five and a half, and I like Tennessee here. Jake: Bye! I like Chicago. I know Tessie's been doing well, but I still like Chicago. Justin: Yeah, they would score. All right. Baltimore at Indy, good game. Baltimore favored by two and a half. I like them to bounce back off of loss to Pittsburgh. Jake: This seems low to me. Yeah, Baltimore all day. I just, I don't understand this. I don't see Pretty good. Justin: Yeah, we'll see. Not bad. But I think this is the most lopsided pick. Yeah, no, it's not. It's not. Well, Green Bay was. But it's the third most lopsided. Sorry. Kansas City is hosting Carolina. Kansas City is favored by 10 and a half. I just saw what that was. they could do, they can score it. Well, I will take Kansas City. Jake: Yeah, I'll take Kansas City unless this was like around 18. I would take Kansas City. Justin: By the way, circling back for two seconds. Jake: Oh, please. Lady Ambel looked washed up. It didn't look like. He didn't rip us a new one, which was the, you know... Oh, he certainly didn't. Justin: And that, you know, it does always feel not terrible to have that happen. And on fourth and one when they handed him the ball, he didn't get the yard. So anyway, whatever. Maybe he's washed him, we did a smart thing. We'll never know. Jake: Well, we didn't do a smart thing because we got zero for him. So... Well, if we get... We had a ball. Justin: Mike McCagney did not do the smart thing of signing him, but I mean, everyone liked it when he did it. So, well, oh yeah, you especially. You had a battle that said,
45:01 Justin: I have a puddle of duck butter under this chair talking about Lady Ambel, anyway. All right, Minnesota. You had a thrill for him. We got nothing out of him. We paid like over a million dollars per touchdown or something. All right. Minnesota is hosting Detroit. Minnesota favored by four. I think it's 1.2 many. I'll take Detroit. Jake: I like Minnesota. They played OK last week. They're there. I mean, they're a terrible team, but they played OK last week. And I think they'll. kind of bounce back. They got Cook back, right? He's playing and Justin: Yeah, he scored like four touchdowns last year. Yeah. Yeah. That's a big deal. And you're when you have a guy who can actually do stuff. Jake: It is. It's nice. By the way, our rookie running back. Like a pair iron. Not seeing anything like I'm not not seeing anything I hate, but not seeing anything I love. I'm like, oh, he's just a dude out there on the field. Justin: Yes, a dude. But everybody's just a dude in this offense. There's nothing that makes anybody look special. The only guy that actually looks good in this offense is Jameson Crowder. He's the only guy that actually looks like, oh, that belongs in this system. And Bepton. Well, yeah, I mean, that's an offensive lineman. Jake: He said in the offense. Justin: Yeah, I mean, well, they're not like, you know. super apparent, but it is cool to watch some of the breakdowns of him playing and It's pretty clear that he's a really good left tackle. He's he's a monster and that's great Jake: If you go into the draft and you have like again things you need to worry about it's usually quarterback Webtack will protect that quarterback. If you don't, and I don't think most jet fans feel this way, but if you don't have to worry about those two, that gives you a lot of options on what else you want to do. Ooh, we can now do some other stuff. We can do the running back in the late round. Like that late round pick, I'm hoping is a running back. Justin: Like, because you're a PR and he's not even like beating Gore for touches, which I don't understand Jake: why Gore is on the field other than, you know, third and third and one, give it to Gore fine, but he should be wrong the whole time. Let him have every frickin snap. Let's see what he's got. Justin: Like, again, you're evaluating. See if he has speed. Let's see if he has some like burst. Jake: This entire season is a preseason game. Like that's the best my take. It's like we are playing like a preseason game, like a preseason team. We're evaluating players for next year just like a preseason. Like this is it. It's just one Justin: big preseason. It's all right. Washington is hosting the Giants. Washington's favored by three. I got the, I think the Giants will just win the game. Really? Yeah, I think so. Washington's no good. Jake: Uh, I mean, I want no giants to win. So we get out of that race with us, but, uh, sure. I'll take, I'll take Washington. Okay.
48:00 Justin: Last one o'clock Houston, uh, Jacksonville, uh, Houston favored by six and change six and a half, um, I just think that's a little high on the road. I'll take Jacksonville. Jake: I'll take Houston in a bounce back. I just can't believe that team with like, what happened to them? Like what happened? That they, they Justin: What yeah, they made one really stupid trade in the off season, which was the wide receiver, right? Yeah, that was money. Basically, that was a money problem. It's like here, this guy wants to be paid like the top wide receiver in the league, which he is kind of. We have to Sean Watson here that we got to pay and oh yeah, JJ Watt, We pay him a lot of money too. That's the conundrum of having a lot of superstars on the team. It's hard. So they made a tough call to trade a guy and it didn't work out for me. Jake: I'm not having a mental breakdown here. Houston was in the playoffs last year, right? I don't know if they were in the playoffs just last year. Justin: I'm not sure about that. I think they were. I feel like they make the playoffs like every year and losing the first round. I just think I'll take Houston. I feel like they lose to like that, like they win that division every year or whatever, and then they lose to like Cincinnati or like they beat Cincinnati or they play the Bills like they're always in that Whatever that first game would be on the Saturday on like NFL Network, you know the crappy game I feel like Houston's in that game every year. Anyway, alright, I got Jacksonville and you have Houston. Alright moving on We have LA Jake: going, or no, LA's hosting. Oh, Houston beat Buffalo last week, last year, in the first round, and then went on, and then went up against fucking KC, and got their ass handed to them. But I mean- But they were winning at halftime, I think. Yeah, so I mean, KC5131, you're not getting by them. So, okay. Reasonable, all right. Justin: All right, we have LA. Is this the Chargers? I think it's the Chargers. Who is this? The Clippers, the Chargers versus Vegas in LA. LA favored by one. I got Vegas. Yeah, I got Vegas in this. Everyone's all over that rookie quarterback. Puts up good numbers, but they're not winning games. Yeah, it's the thing about you got to win, but now I'm going to take Vegas with one point. Sure. Thank you. Okay, here's a fun one. Pittsburgh is going to Dallas and on the road is favored by 13 and a half. I got him. I mean, Dallas is playing like some third string quarterback that they picked up off the street somewhere. I don't even know who this guy is. So if Lamar Jackson. Baltimore couldn't get going against Pittsburgh. I can't see how third stringer gets going against Pittsburgh. Jake: I can't I don't know 13 and a half. It's like it's my crux. Like I can't get over that. Justin: You really hate when it's over like 11 or 12. That's like it's
51:01 Jake: usually I thought I'm gonna go Dallas. I don't know why it makes no sense. But I'm going Dallas. Justin: Maybe they'll make it make sense. I don't know. All right. And the last one we'll pick before we go to the FC East. We've got, what'd you hear, that honking, that horn? You could tell him back in New York. So Sunday night, we have a rematch because this is a division game. I think this was the week one, Tampa hosting New Orleans. So we have Brady versus Breeze. And Tampa is favored by five and a half. Jake: And I think this will be close. I'm going to take New Orleans. I had New Orleans, but I'm going back on this. Tampa's been surprising me. They have seen them play a couple games. And I was like, oh, they're not playing too well. And then they end up winning. So I'm like, I mean, they're six and two. Like, that's real. They have Tom Brady. So, I mean, we don't have to have it now because we're going to get out of the podcast, but like the Tom Brady versus Bill Belichick right now on the scales, like Tom Brady is looking better because he's actually had a winning team and winning games and Bill Belichick's on a losing team, losing games. And so anyway, interesting. All right, let's get to the AFC East and do some throne picks. Justin: Oh, all right. Well, here's probably the best game at one o'clock. You got Seattle going to Buffalo. So I think this is one of the better games of the week. Is Jamal Adams back yet? He hasn't played in a while. I don't know. I guess I'm playing in a while and he would be a good guy to have on the field against Buffalo because Buffalo does a lot of that shenanigans where you could have Jamal Adams kind of like watching over Josh Allen and kind of take care of all that mess. But I don't know if he's playing or not. Either which way I believe in Russell Wilson. to win football games on the road or at home against good defenses or bad, whatever. And I think Seattle will end up winning this game 21-17 Seattle. Jake: I think this is a game that Buffalo should win. Like this is a, like every time I think, okay, you got Seattle coming over there. I think Seattle is a, they're well-matched teams. They're I think Russell Wilson is a better quarterback. I think Josh Allen is very good, but inconsistent. We've talked about it like he's the I mean, I say it every week, but like, he'll give you he's gonna give you at least one fumble and one interception you get you get one and you get to a game and it's just whether you recover them or do something with them or score off them. Um, I just, I feel like this is a Buffalo win, but I just don't see them doing it. So I'm perplexed. I'm going 27, 24 Hawks. Okay. Justin: Um, cool.
54:00 Justin: We both, uh, think Seattle's going to win that one. Although I don't know if you're super convinced. Um, I just like, I just, I just like Russell Wilson, man. It's hard for me to like think Russell's going to lose. It's just such a winner. It's hard for me to think. Jake: We get to watch the game and, oh yes. No, we will not. Wait, it's at one o'clock? Justin: That one's at one, yeah. No, we will not be able to watch that game. You jerks. No, they're not giving us that. Oh, because that's gonna be on Fox. Fox is a giant. We're gonna get the giant. It's here, Neil. Jake: Sunday ticket all day. Okay, well, we'll be watching that. Justin: Cause that's actually, I think a better game than pretty much every other game. Yeah, that's the game. It's going to be a good one. All right, then we have Miami. They're going to Arizona. And Arizona is favored by five in this game at home. And it's to a second start. They, by all accounts, they won last week, but it wasn't because of Tuah. They did what they had to do with the rookie quarterback out there and scored in a bunch of different ways. And surrounded him with the things that they needed to surround him with. I think they scored on defense, maybe even scored on special teams. They did the thing they needed to do. I think they scored on all three, right? They scored on special teams, defense, and whatever to win. Right. At this point, like Brian Flores is looking like one of the better, like, Bela Czech disciples, because he's got that team playing all around football. Jake: And, and, and both look terrible. I mean, he threw two interceptions and two fumbles. I mean, he gave up the ball four times. So that's, that's, But wait, I'm like, golf did that? Yeah, two fumbles lost and he lost both of them. I'm looking at his stat line from that game. Justin: Didn't Carson Wentz do the exact same thing last week? I think he did. Really? That'd be weird, right? If those two guys literally both did the same thing, like turn the ball over four times and both won. Jake: I mean, turning the ball over four times. Justin: You can actually, it's hard to win games. But Philly won. Having one has turned the ball over four times is crazy. But anyway, yeah, I've got it. I like Arizona in this game. We saw what they could do. They're a pretty well-rounded team. Also, their offense is pretty potent. I think they're going to win 24-16. Jake: Um, I think Arizona's going to win pretty handily. I'm going 28-19, Zona. I think two will come down a little bit again. Given up, someone gives you the ball four times. You're gonna win all day. I think Justin: Well, not really. I mean, the Jets don't do it. Like we don't get the ball four times. We've we I don't know. I think when we played the bills in this game, we got at least three. Like we don't do anything.
57:00 Justin: when we get the ball. So like it doesn't go anywhere. So it doesn't matter. I don't see it. So yeah, I go. I think Zona wins this one. All right. Oh, it's good. Game of entry. It's our shit show. So going back to the whole like we're not going to win a game all year. We could win two games and they'd be these two games, the Patriots two games because Bill Belichick is a wily motherfucker and he could just be like well this is a lost season for us, fuck it, let's let's lose to the Jets because why should they have the number one overall pick? He's pretty wily like that. I don't think he'll do it in this game, I think he'll wait for the next one. Jake: We're winning whatever the last game of the season when the Patriots are out of it and we're going in and we have the number one pick and we have zero wins all season. That's where we'll listen. He is going to play like his grandson. Yeah, like he'll just play. He'll be like, I'm the quarterback. Justin: Yeah, well then he gets killed. I'll just take a snap and just fall. Like whatever. What are we doing here? Like it's Monday Night Football. It's a bullshit game. No one's gonna watch it. What are the keys? Show up? Like beyond the field, have 11 guys on the field at all times. Like you're gonna lose. So like just be there. So sad. Wear a uniform. Bring your helmets. I don't know. It's a Brady list. Brady list Patriots game. Two wins on the season. On Monday night in our stadium. And thank you, Corona. We can't even we can't go to the game. We just happened to be the worst team in the fucking league. It's like how cursed can you be? This is it. This would have been- How country are you? This is so bad. This was the game. You're looking at this like we have a Monday night matchup at home against the Patriots. I know, right? Oh my god. If you said, oh, you're going up against them, they're not going to have Tom Brady. And they're going to have two wins this season. You're like, oh my God, this is a bit, it's so good. And it's November and it's like 60 degrees out and I can wear my black Darnell jersey and I can yell. Oh, yeah. Yeah. No, you will say that's a joke for you. It's a coronavirus. Jake: The vid has shown. Here's the fun part of this game. and it's a drinking game or whatever you want. You need to write down or take a drink or a shot or whatever every time one of the announcers tries to spin this game as being important at all. Like this, we're gonna try. Justin: It's 31-2, but we're really, you know, it could go come back in the second quarter.
1:00:01 Justin: And like, I mean, this is ESPN's worst nightmare. They're like, oh, this game, like, oh, Patriots, Jets, Monday night, it's such a, you know, there's some, oh, and they're just like, Jake: this is the worst fucking game ever. So watching the pronounce the caters try to make this look anything other than a pile of steaming poo, it's just gonna be so much fun. They're like, well, you know, we get to see Donald, and we get to see Bubba Dog, and we get to see like, and let's, what's Cam Newton gonna do? Look, I'm not picking- Justin: Sam might not even play. No, he's playing. Well, he hasn't practiced, so like... He's practiced? I thought he- Yesterday. Yesterday we played a game, it's a Monday night game, so like yesterday was first practice. Jake: In practice. He's questionable at this point. They got to frickin' play him. That's the whole play him. Anyway, here's the deal. Justin: The keys to the castle. Be on the field. Because there's no way we're winning. So I have us losing 24-6. Oh, that's brutal. That's not a touchdown, by the way. That's a two field. We're just going to go a couple of weeks before we score a touchdown here. Jake: I'm going to say the way to win this game is, I mean, you saw it last week. Cam lost the game for the Patriots. They were driving down. They just had to, I think, tie it up. They had to tie it. Justin: They had to overtime in the bag. Jake: They had it in the bag. They had to touchdown. down. And he literally just does what he does all the time. He fumbles it. He just goes where he was running scrambling things and he fumbles the fucking ball. So like, look, if you're the Jets, I'm hoping to see some turnovers. That's the way to win this game. Defense shows up. It's May all day. Justin: Jets win 24-23. Fuck y'all, I'm out. That's not happening. I mean, I like how you're happening. It's happening. I don't. I just don't. I don't see it happening. It's so weird. You see 24 points being scored. We're gonna put on all sides of the ball. Do yourself a favor, add up the last couple of weeks and see how you get to 24. Jake: Sam lights it up in all blacks. We get a defensive pick six and Camthers turns over the ball three times. Justin: So let me just do some math for you. If you take the last three weeks of our scoring, we're at 19. Yeah, we'll add the week before. That's three games. That's three fours. So four games. Add the week before, yeah. So basically, a game is a quarter for us. Yes. Oh, you didn't explain the rules. Yes. Oh, that's a rule change. We're going to win. Now we're at 29 for the last four games. We're good. We're all good. If we get like 29 points, we think we win.
1:03:01 Justin: Because our defense sucks too, by the way. We don't talk about that enough. Like they're actually awful. They're terrible. They're terrible. But here's the silver lining. They're supposed to be halfway decent. Like the offense being so bad is masking the fact that the defense is really that bad. The Jess, the Jess. Jake: Oh, and our special teams, they're bad too. I'm not picking the Jets to lose, but if we just happen to lose, I think it is a really, really nice, it's a really, really nice nail, last nail in the coffin. I would expect him fired on Tuesday morning and walked to the door and that's it. And then we get the, for the rest of the season, know we're getting a new coach, which I would really, that would make me feel good as a Jets fan, just. We know I know I'm getting a new coach. Like I just want to know I'm getting a new coach I don't want to have any I don't want to I don't have worry about it for the rest of the season and then Heinz wars becomes the head coach of the New York Jets and it's fucking fun and We rally around him and we still lose out, but it's more fun to watch only become a competitive team And so that's what I'm hoping for perennial hope So that's, that's it. I just want K's gone. That's all I really want. All I want for Christmas, Hanukkah, Thanksgiving, Kwanzaa. Just give us this guy being fired, please. Fire this fuck. Fire this guy already, God. God, this has got to be it. I mean, it's just got to be. Oh, and nine. at your bye week, it's done, it's done. Justin: So anyway, all right. It's just so hard to sit here with such little hope and like knowing how bad they are. Just knowing, like knowing that they're gonna go Jake: into the game and they're gonna lose. And the rest of the season is all evaluation. Every fricking, I don't, if you're a vet, if you're not gonna be on the team next year, you're not playing. You just throw every guy who has any kind of hope, like, I want to see, I want to see Mims play well, Fectin play well, Sam play well, I want to see Piran play well, I want to see, like, let's show some, show some hood spa, like, show some team, show something that we can go, okay, here's the players we have going forward next year, because this year is a total trash fire. I just want Gaze out of there, I'm so sick of looking at his stupid face, his buggy eyes, his... Idiocy he has he has that I mean I used to think that What's his face man genie didn't show enough emotion on the sidelines and then then we had a double Justin: Bowl yeah work like a Giro You statue out there, but case doesn't even watch half the game. He's like he just looks sitting there looking I mean, where is his eyes? I don't know. We don't be watching games He's watching the stands with nobody in them. Like, he's not even watching the game. He's sitting on the bench by himself staring at a piece of paper when the defense is playing. Like, what are you doing, dude? You're the head coach. Watch the football game. Like, he's... What are you doing?
1:06:00 Justin: Anyway, this is getting... We hate him. Everyone hates him. This is enough of enough. Wait, hopefully he'll be next time you hear from us. Hopefully he'll be gone. I will be celebrate good. Good. I'll be the name of the podcast guaranteed. Jake: He's gone. All right. He's gone. It's Justin. It's Jake. It's the windless jets. Let's go Chats! Thank you.
