03 Jake: This is episode 67 of the Jet Kingdom Podcast for Wednesday, February 10, 2010, grading the season. Welcome to the Jet Kingdom Podcast. As always on this side of the wow season's over, Super Bowl's over, what are we going to do for the next 6-8 months? Digital aisle? It's Jake. and joining me Probably as semi-depressed or maybe excited for the new year. It's my good friend Justin. for the new year. My good friend Justin. Justin, how are you doing? Justin: I'm doing great on this side of the frosty digital aisle. And pictures and catches in like nine days, so I'm pumped. Yeah, that makes absolutely no sense to me. I don't know what I'm talking about. Jake: I think that's some sort of gay terminology. Yeah, it is snowing like the bejesus. I will say it's nice to have a snowstorm that is actually Actually happening as opposed to the one that's supposed to hit on Saturday It's supposed to be a four to eight inches and there was a dusting So it's nice actually have it going that was actually a good thing because I was worried Justin: That there'd be snow all over the sand for Super Bowl Sunday for my annual dip in the ocean And there was not so that was a good thing and I was able to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation and jump in the ocean here in Long Beach. Jake: That is awesome and I will, I'll tweet the pic so you put up on the, so everybody can see those after. They can see my fat ass? No. Justin: Yeah, I'm not gonna do that. I'm almost as fat as Rex Ryan without you. Here's the deal people. Jake: If you're good, you can probably figure out how to get them. So you can go to the Internet. So let's do a little agenda. So we're going to talk about Super Bowl 44, Colts versus Saints. We're going to give out some season grades, maybe touch on a little bit uh... and then we got some followed up and ended off for a snowy uh... tues wednesday i guess it is uh... so let's let's start one symbol uh... give me your first like give me your your gut feel since we both predicted it dead wrong Justin: totally wrong although i did have the saint score correct i did say they would score thirty one and they did so i'm proud of that uh... i just had indy scoring 38 and not 17 My initial impression is why, why, why, why did Peyton Manning look so good against us and invincible and he's the greatest quarterback ever in the history of ever
00 Justin: and he came out looking like, you know, kind of like crap against New Orleans and to be completely honest he... He played bad down the stretch. Like the old, the manning of old in the playoffs sort of came back and played that Super Bowl as opposed to the manning that was near perfect against the Jets, which really kind of upset me a little bit, but I guess that's more of, you know, What? tip of the hat to the Saints for playing really well and not really a knock on the Jets or a knock on Peyton. You know he they they the Saints just played great. They they they made ballsy calls at the right times. The the kickoff at the halftime was a really ballsy call that worked in their favor. The going for it down on fourth and goal and not getting it was still a great call on their behalf because they pinned the Colts down on the goal line and didn't allow them to have a chance to go down the field with under two minutes, which is what Peyton loves to do. They got the ball back and scored a field goal anyway at the end of the half. So it turned out to be... quite alright for the Saints. They played a really, really good game. You almost want to say a perfect game they played. Breeze was incredible. It kind of makes you think about what San Diego was thinking when they let him go, but thanks for a whole other day. Also, Miami, thank you for... taking a chance on Culpeper as opposed to Breeze, thank you. Just to rub it in a little bit to the Dolphins fans, because he certainly could have been playing for the Dolphins as opposed to the Saints. And really just a great, great game by the Saints. It was a pretty entertaining Super Bowl too. The highest watched show in American television history. And really just overall very very impressed with the way that the Saints were able to beat the team that no one really thought could lose. They hadn't lost the game. that they tried to win all year and then there you have it they lost uh which makes them look even worse for not going for the perfect season i think uh because they really should have went what do you have to lose and hindsight being 20 20 is well you lost the super bowl anyway jerks you should have tried to at least be 18 and 0 going into it um i don't think it really impacted it one way or the other but um they really look foolish for not trying Jake: Yeah, it's interesting. I I mean I I certainly No point during that game actually at the three-minute mark when he threw that pick. That's when I thought oh Maybe they can't win this but basically I didn't think that they were gonna lose like they're up near
01 Jake: 10-0 and I thought they're gonna win then they scored the Whatever to make it I think it was 610 Then I'm like, they're gonna they're still gonna win like I And even when they were down by a touchdown or I was like, yeah, they're still gonna win Like I did not there was not a time I thought oh the Colts are not gonna win You know, I just thought that they were gonna come back to win Me too. I'm surprised by a couple things like, you know, they were very good when they were passing Like and then they ran it a lot. I mean Joseph and I was doing all sorts of running and it's like Justin: Well, he actually had a decent game. He did. Jake: He did. But, I mean, again, it's interesting because their passing was going so well. The drops though, you gotta say the drops. There were some drops by the Colts receivers. I think Garcon had a huge one. That was the big one. That was the really big play. Wayne had one in the end zone. On that you know when they almost could have got there a couple drops you think that just so not a part of their you know They are you know vernacular as a team they just they don't do that type of stuff and and Interesting have now can we go back and we say there's a thing about the 16 0 and 14 and 0 14 and 2 and I honestly think no. I think now you can look at two teams because now you have two sides of the story. You have the Patriots who went straight for it, got all the way there and lost. Then you have the Colts who went straight for it, then stopped, held up, and got there and lost. So you can't, you know, there's no... Justin: They just look foolish. They just look stupid though for not going for it. Because they didn't go for it. It's like why oh one your whole reason for not going for it was that you were gonna be Fresh and gonna win the Super Bowl and they didn't so it's like why didn't you just go for it? I don't think it would matter either way or not I I just feel like they deserve to get a little bit of a knock for not going for it as opposed to being like Oh, we're not gonna go for it and trust us. It will all work out in the end because we'll win the Super Bowl Now it's like, well, no, actually. That's not a guarantee. You should play these games and try and win them. And I think next year, if they're in the same spot, I think they will. Jake: I don't know. I mean, I think once you make that statement that we have a blueprint to do it. Justin: Um, the blueprint didn't work. So well, the blueprint got them to the Super Bowl. Jake: Wonderful. The Bills got there four years in a row. But can you say that those four games I cannot honestly say that the four games that they were the two games that they didn't play their starters ended up being a factor six weeks later. Justin: I don't think that that's it didn't matter. It's just I think they look foolish for not going for it and not embracing that and trying to win the games. I mean, it's like stupid at this point. If they would have won the Super Bowl, I would say, all right, fine.
00 Justin: But they lost, so... Jake: No, because the exact argument we're to spend the other way... They win the Super Bowl and then we said, well, look at that. You would have won. You could have won anyway. Why didn't you go for it? Justin: And you would have had. You could say Manny could have gotten hurt in one of those games. We won the Super Bowl. That was our goal. Jake: Yeah, I guess the whole thing. I think the Dwight Farini getting injured against the Jets. Probably, you know, I think you can take it both ways. You could say, well, see, that's what could have happened earlier. That could happen against the Jets earlier if you played the full game or the Bills when that game. Or, you could say, look, it doesn't matter when you're playing. You're going to get people get hurt. Your question is, can you rebound from those getting hurt and keep playing? I agree. For the sport, I say, you got to play the games. The sport is not better because they took those games off. If they kept playing the sport. would have been better people would have been watching those games and yes the just might not have made into the playoffs but the sport as a whole i think the integrity of the sport is better if you don't have teams who are playing not to win you know and or or not playing to win and i think that's that just takes away from the overall enjoyment of the sport and i think i rather see every team. I don't care if you're 1 and 14, you're playing that last game to play it like you need to win it. The only other thing on the Super Bowl, obviously Washington home, I enjoyed it. I love that it was back and forth. It was certainly a game that seemed to go anyway. It obviously went out of control towards the end. I did I thought the I thought the halftime was I think they've got to stop with this Rock Legends stuff and start getting to... I mean, I had people text to me, my mother was texting me saying, really? These guys look like they're...like someone stood them up out of the coffin. And I just...I don't get it. The Who is an incredible band, right? I'm not a huge fan, but I can't say they're not a good...you know, they're incredible. They're Rock Legends. They're the...they're the founding fathers of this stuff. But they're not relevant. They're not relevant at now. They're part of a history track. They didn't play their newest release that's number one on the charts. And do you want the Super Bowl to be remembered for something that's like Legends of Rock? Or do you want to be part of it's a relevant new artist or an artist that's relevant now and today, like within this year? So I think it's a mistake for the NFL to do that. I think the halftime becomes kind of a joke. Let us know in the comments section below. I thought the actual stage was the best part of it. I actually tweeted saying I think the stage is out performing, too, because all the lights and whatever is amazing. But I just wish they would just get back to, or you know what? Don't make it a big deal. Like have the dogs who catch Frisbees out there because. I would enjoy that. you know because it's it's a long time it's much more i think it's twenty Justin: twenty minutes there's a twenty minute halftime and the people who are on the
00 Justin: level Jake: it feels longer you know for as a fan you like really come on and get the game going and i don't know if it adds anything you know the big halftime thing i just don't know uh... but overall i really enjoy the game uh... you know I guess the hard part was thinking, could we have done better? It's hard when you're that close as a team, meaning you're only one game away or one half away from going to the Super Bowl, could the Jets have won against the Saints? I think we could have. I think we would have done a different game plan. I think we still could have probably been up 10-0 at some point, and would we have controlled the ball better? and. I think we probably could have. I don't know if we would have won, but I think we had a better... Hard to say we would have had a better shot, but anyway. So that was a Super Bowl, and you know, there it goes. Greatest, you know, greatest football... greatest TV show and viewership, as you said. It beat out Nash, which was no football game or no other TV show ever has beat out the final... of mash and this one has and that's uh that's freaking unbelievable. Uh in a time that we're talking about the the NFL actually maybe having to stop right in 2011 and having a holdout or whatever a lockout NFL is the most popular has ever been and it's sort of it's just really strange thing and I think it probably one leads to the other right it's so popular so everybody's trying to make money and so these guys aren't going to let down because they know how popular it is They both have these kind of like, you know. I don't know, two sides and they're very strong. But anyway, let's go, let's talk about the Jets a little bit. You know, let's talk about the Jets. Let's get on some grades. Final season grades for the New York football Jets. We're gonna do quarterback, offense, defense, special teams, head coach, defensive coach, offensive coach. Justin: So we're just gonna single out quarterback. wreck. That's the only position. Jake: Yeah, because it's kind of hard not to. Yeah, let's do running back, too. All right, so let's go. We're going to do traditional style, F through A. You can do halves. And we'll start off with the quarterback. Give me a grade, A through F on Mark Sanchez. Justin: Are we grading on a curve? Or we could just give it up straight up relative to the rest of the league? No! Like, do I have to consider the fact that he's a rookie? No! You give him a grade! Alright, well then I'm gonna give him a C- C-? Yeah, okay. And the only reason why he gets that high is because the Jets won 9 games and got to the AFC Championship game and he played pretty well in the playoffs. But otherwise, he didn't really have a very good... you know as a quarterback if I want to throw the fact that he's a rookie in there then his grade gets bumped up a little bit but in reality I think C- is about as high as you could go
05 Justin: with the way that he played and the way that they had to structure their offense to you know suit him like they had to scale a lot of things back and and and play the game a little bit differently than they probably would have had he not been a rookie. Meaning, you know, once he gets his feet wet a little bit, their game planning might change a little bit. But I think, you know, he had three games, I believe, that he single-handedly lost, and I can't really think of a game that he won. off the top of my head, but I can definitely think of games that he lost. Jake: I can think of games that he was going to win, if not other parts. Doesn't matter. That doesn't matter. Well, yeah. Then to say that he single-handedly lost the game. Justin: Well, when your quarterback throws five interceptions in more than one game... Jake: In a season then yeah, and one of those games was a game that the stupid kicker didn't you know the placeholder didn't hold the ball and they could Finish the game even with five interceptions. Well, that'll go when I when I grade our defense that'll come out All right, but now I'm giving him a C-minus. I'm gonna give him I'm not gonna spend 16 hours like you did but I'm gonna say I'm gonna see plus because You know at the end of the season if a season had ended and we had not gone to the playoffs Definitely see minus right but in that he went into the playoffs and played pretty well in the playoffs and won Two road games in the playoffs against good opponents. I mean looking back we played some of the best teams and You know lost against the last guess the Colts but I think he gets extra points for that. And also, just as a person, I think he's really, I think he's got that in such a cliche. But he's got it. He's a presence. He's like a guy who you want to look at and you go, man, he'd be fun to hang out with. He looks like a nice guy. Justin: Yeah, he's so much cooler than Eli Manning. It's not even funny. Jake: He is cool, and I think he's got that kind of like he's got that that swagger that when he gets good Will be unstoppable right right now He's he's an average if not maybe below average quarterback But he's got these other intangibles that I really like about him And if he is half as smart as as everybody says he is then the other stuff will come along so I give him a C-plus Alright, give me a, well, running back quickly. Give me two, give me, since Leon's kind of out, but give me quickly, give me a Thomas Jones and a Sean Green. Justin: Oh, I'd like to lump them all together. I'm just gonna give the running back position for the Jats in A. I think the running... backs played really really well. Leon for the five six seven games that he played and then Tom Strom's his consistency throughout the year and Sean Green what he did in the second half of the season was phenomenal as a rookie again. So I'm going to give the the running game
02 Justin: or yeah I'll save the running game and include the offensive line in that an A because they really really were very good. Jake: I think if you're gonna do the whole running game you have to also include, you know, again, offensive line is true as well, but you know you really... Justin: You have to include Tony Richardson in there is what you're gonna say, right? You do! Jake: Um, I'm distracted... What's happening? I was a little distracted. I had a... Justin: You have a little munchkin walking in during the podcast? test. Jake: I had a recording studio person that wanted to be in on the game. So, yeah, running back, I plus. Oh, plus. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I would go. I would go that far, too. You know what? I can't lead the entire league in running and not say that that was, you know, in rushing and you got to give them an A plus. There's nothing. What could you fault? You could fault that they lost one of their best players and still Still had they I don't know there's nothing to fault so I give an a-plus or give me offense in general So the offense speeds up all right. We'll speed it up. So yeah Justin: Everyone is out there a little bored. Huh the offense in general a B- little lackluster in creativity at times and they put themselves in bad spots at times, but the running game was so strong That that I have to give them Jake: The B- yeah, I'd give him I'd give him solid B solid B for the same reasons Again, you you beat good teams you get to the playoffs You do the kind of things they did in the playoffs you have to give it because there were times when then They just took the ball and shut it down people's throats. Yeah, the passing game was clearly hit or miss, but sometimes it literally broke open games. So I gave him a solid B. Alright, go defense! Give me a defensive score! Justin: Great! I'd really love to go with the A, but I'm gonna give him an A- and there's a reason. They did... they were on the field for losses sometimes. where they were winning, the team was winning, and then the defense was on the field and the team lost. I think Jacksonville, Miami, there was probably one other. Miami. Miami again, right, where the defense was on the field and you were with a lead and you expect them to then shut it down. That being said, they were the best defense in the league and they have one of the best defensive players in the league on the field as well. So I'm gonna go A- because there's room for improvement there. Jake: Yeah, I kind of agree. I think you can't give them an A because there were just too many times when they should have been able to shut that other team out. And they let them come back in the fourth quarter and score.
01 Jake: and an A or an A plus defense would not have allowed that to happen. And clearly, you know, the run game was always pretty good, although, you know, it just was inconsistent. It was when it was on, it was unbelievably on. But for all those chances they took and maybe it's just a style of defense. For all the chances you take, when you take those many chances, you're going to allow things to go through. It just in some games. That really hurt the Jets and cost them games. I agree give them a minus Special teams. What do you think? Justin: They had a lot of nice special teams plays this year They they fake punted quite a bit and it worked every time they tried Jay feely had a good year They had a decent returning year even without Leon. Brad Smith had an okay year. Punt returns was nothing. There was nothing there. They basically had guys back there just to catch the ball and the punter was also not great, not spectacular. So I'm going to go ahead and just go with a B. Jake: Yeah, I'm gonna go lower than that only for that Miami game. Oh, you know, I forgot about that Thank you, you know minus be mine that they lost a single handle. We lost that game to return 200 plus yard returns 14 points. I mean in a game that that we played it's the defensive running rushing game That's about keeping the points low. We're going to score just two more points than you do. You give up 14 points off special teams to freaking Ted Gin Jr.? Yeah, I got to go B-minus, trending towards C+. One run back for a touchdown from Brad Smith. and again that you know It was a great one back, but the punting game wasn't very good. And then you end the season and end the whole thing by missing two field goals in a game. Like, you know, that's not good. That wouldn't have changed that game too much, but still, you miss two field goals in the dome. No, no good. And then what have we got? Okay, let's go the other coaches and we'll head to the big rexy at the end. Give me offensive and defensive, two grades, two spots. What do you think? For the coordinators. Justin: I'm going to go with Mike Patin first as the defensive coordinator. I'm going to go ahead and just give him an A. He took a team that did not play this style and basically, you know, with the help of Rex, obviously it's his schemes, but Patin is really the coordinator. I'm going to go ahead and just give an A, coached them up, got them where they needed to be, and really took this defense to a whole other level without really adding any... You know, too many players, you know Bart Scott sure, Leonard sure, but not much else. For the most part it was the same team. And on offense, it's so hard to grade Brian Schottenheimer because sometimes it's like
03 Justin: wow that was great and then other times it's like so mediocre and the running game was so good but the passing game is so vanilla. I'm going to go with a C+. He probably deserves better than that. Jake: I think I would have given both a little bit less. So no, I think I would flip them around. So I'm going to give Patin a B plus because I think it wasn't all him. I think Rex Ryan brought a lot. So, you know... It wasn't him. It was a lot Rex Ryan and a lot him, but you can't give him more than what's his share. An offensive coordinator, you know, Brian Schottenheimer, I think, you can almost give him two grades, right? You can give him the first half of the year and then the second half of the year. That last half, that last, well, starting from like, hmm, week. I want to call it like the we against, even though we lost, but the Falcons. Then on, I think they. So like the last two weeks of the season? And then the postseason, yes, because they actually kept coaching. I think they got it, right? They got how to win games with this rookie quarterback. And I just wish he had not tried to get that towards the end. He should have known. being smarter and a coach and whatever that with a rookie quarterback you can't ask him to do more than he's ready to do and maybe it was Sanchez but a lot of it's you know what's the situation you're put into and I think that he got better when that whole Rex Ryan thing saying I'm going to help him out. So it was after that that he got better at his job so he got kind of helped out again by Rex so you have to give even more Rex more credit for that. So I'll give, what do you give him? C plus. C plus. I'll give him a B minus because when it was on it was really on but you could definitely need improvement. And then head coach, Rexie Ryan, first year head coach in the New York Jets. Certainly a year of ups and downs and you know, he's certainly a loud mouth. I like to say... You know, I have a lot of fans who say, well, he's an asshole. And I'm like, yeah, but he's our asshole. Yeah, that's right. I like it. That's exactly right. Justin: So what do you think? He's the guy who you want on your side. You have to give him an A plus, I think. I think a rookie head coach with a rookie starting quarterback who gets to the AFC Championship game gets an A plus. Change the culture of the team. Change the attitude around the team. makes it seem like it's a place that people would want to come play and for that and everyone loves them on the team so for that I think you know being the all those things I said I think you gotta give them an A plus I don't think that
02 Justin: there's any And the only hesitation to give him an A+, even though this isn't real, is that there's no room for improvement after his rookie year, but really he did a hell of a job. Jake: Yeah, I can't go far as an A+. I could say a solid, solid A. For all the reasons you said, the things I would take away from him would be... You know, you gotta know little Kenny Rogers in there. You gotta know when to hold him. You gotta know when to walk away. You gotta know when to count money. You gotta know when to run, right? He just, he's always on the big mouth thing. Sometimes, just sometimes, you gotta know to shut up. And you gotta know not to say something. Sometimes that's the best thing to say is nothing at all. And while... He's definitely out there and likes to say stuff. I just wish he would just sometimes take it down a notch or two. Cuz there are situations where it doesn't help anybody. I love that he was a coach's guy that he literally, his theory, maybe not even his theory, but what happened was he became the front of the face of the team. change. Right? And a lot of teams, it's not the head coach, it's one of the players or it's the quarterback. I mean, who's the face of the Indianapolis Colts? It's Peyton Manning. Who's the face of the Vikings? It's Brett Favre. Who's the face of, I think of a running game that like you just think of the runner. But you know, there's the face of the team. It's not always a head coach. He became the face of the team And he said, I'm going to put it on my shoulders. I'm big enough. I'm strong enough. I can take it. And I'm going to let my guys kind of stay behind and not have to take the pressure. Justin: Well, to be fair, there was no one really there to do that. I mean, in the coming years, it will be Sanchez. Jake: Well, but he could have been Sanchez this year. No, you don't put that. Justin: You don't put that on a rookie quarterback. Jake: Exactly. And he didn't. And that was very smart. And that's a good move. But he could have. If he had been a quiet, mousy little head coach who, you know, had no comment, they would have been pounding. The storylines would have been much more about Sanchez. Because he was so braggadocious, because he was out there. the storylines were about him and he intentionally took the pressure. So even when Sanchez was throwing in five picks, Rex Ryan, I don't know if they coordinated this, but he would come out and say something so outrageous the next week like, I'm going to eat babies for lunch. And then they'd be like, Rex Ryan says eat babies. And Barry would be that Sanchez had one of his worst games. So I think that's great. No room for improvement. Yeah, there's a room for a bit. Get me a Super Bowl ring That's room for improvement you win the Super Bowl. You'll get an A plus until you win the Super Bowl. No a plus for you That's good. Good grades. I like it. I like it So we do have some do we have a tweet we have some tweets let's take some we have a tweet Yeah, what you know what we're not gonna do we're not gonna talk about free agency. Okay, I'm making the call right now a
03 Jake: because I don't have enough information right now to talk about free agency. Justin: Do you know anything, we don't have to talk specifically about free agency, but do you know specifically about these rules that we can't do stuff? Jake: No. Justin: Okay, so we're gonna have to study up on that I think. Jake: Yeah, I've only read some of the stuff about it, I'm not. Fully deeply involved in it yet. Yeah, and so by next week or whenever we talk about free agency I will have a much better understanding of how this actually works I know there's all sorts of rules by us getting the playoffs by the players eight teams Yeah, the players getting extended like, you know your years get extended. So I know there's a lot to stuff like that But again, we have from now until March. Yeah, we have a long time to start talking about Free Agency. So let's leave that for future episodes, because I have nothing else to say. But let's take a tweet, as it were, which kind of brings us right back to Free Agency, which is from Rick Clemens, who asked, actually, just six. Callan Clemens. since. Nope, just Rick. Spelled differently. Asked just 17 minutes ago, so got it right out of the way there. Oh wow, right in there. Yep. Do we bring Brailing back? He showed glimpses of good and bad, but who else is out there? So I think that part of it, we're going to say, hey, we're going to answer that when we really get into free agency, and we'll start talking about the very free agency equi- acquisitions and who could be had. But let's just talk about the Braille and Peace first. Sure. And why don't you go first? Tell me, would you bring him back? Without knowing any of the other stuff. Justin: Yeah, without knowing the draft or free agency or any of that, my gut says that we should bring him back. My gut says that if given a proper training camp with... Sanchez and after having played with him for you know 10 or 12 games you saw what he could potentially do which is stretch the field which is be a bigger target he does have the dropsies we've definitely now seen it firsthand you know we've heard about it we've seen the stats but now we've actually seen it he definitely needs to concentrate on that and I don't know what they do to make a receiver better at catching the ball, but whatever that is. do it, but I think they should bring him back because he's really the only thing on the team that resembles a 20 yard down the field threat on the team. Jake: Yeah, a big guy. I agree. I think for all the reasons you said, I want to see him in training camp. I want to see him with an entire season with that quarterback who's no longer a rookie. I'd want to see them train together. I'd like to see them get some chemistry, chemistry, chemistry, chemistry. It's also a good blocker, which goes unnoticed, I think. Oh, that's an interesting point. I have concerns about this type of player, which is a player that seems to go on streaks based on who he's trying to impress.
01 Jake: I think this is a player who plays high when needs to, but if doesn't need to, can go off the edge. Meaning, this is the kind of guy I think that if he gets a big contract, he disappears. And those drops go through the roof, so I'm not actually I Think you should go back But I would bring him back in a you know in a in a way And I leave this up in tenon bomb in a way that kind of made it so like listen you still got to perform at A high level or you're not getting paid whether that's whether that's a franchise tag whether that's a a small agreement, whether that's an agreement to agree, or whatever the terminology, I don't want to see this guy walk to a long term. Because I don't think he's that good that he needs. He hasn't proved that he can be that good for that much. You only want to lock a guy for a long term if you've seen enough long term out of him. I mean, I think, you know, Kerry Rose is the perfect deal. Like, Thank you. uh... care roads we saw a couple years ago we should walk this guy down but then you start to see him faltering like wall you know you i see the bobby's work before you walk into a guy for another four years uh... maybe there's even an allergy say you only get a lot of first many years you've seen in play at that level so we see them play egg good half year? So I would want to bring him back for a year to see if he could play at a different level, but certainly better. But I wouldn't want to see him walk into anything longer than that. Receivers, yes, they take a long time to kind of move up, but they're the ones, if you have a good receiver from another team, you can plug and play them pretty well, because they're that good. Not as easy as running backs, but... uh... yeah i i would i i wouldn't pay a lot of money working for a long time to show us a good all right there's a tweet i have a tweet oh what's your tweet totally disregarded me Justin: uh... like this regard to your tweet and sort of a it is a question uh... okay it's funny for a minute now from is is tweeting and hate just your kingdom. Here's a question for Jet Kingdom Podcast. What will they do when sexy rexy is dead in two years from a heart attack? Fat bastard. More of a joke. After seeing him changing from a flyers jersey to a Carolina jersey in his stomach shown on national television, which ESPN used their very high tech big flat screen television to break down for us today on SportsCenter, which was rather interesting waste of time and airspace on ESPN, and now we're wasting time on our airspace talking about it. He's not going to die, hopefully. And if he does, we'll just grab Rob Ryan. No big deal. Jake: Yeah, I don't know. There are a lot of fat. He is a big fat ass though. He should lose some weight. But there's a lot of big fat asses coaches out there and they seem to live
03 Jake: a lot. I mean, again, if you were 67 years old, you know, Parcells was no slim pickings. He wasn't no Rex Ryan though. Rex Ryan's a big boy. Yeah, but he also wasn't as tall as Rex. I mean, I don't know. I, you know, again, if you were older and had moments of health thing. I don't think head coach's in this league are meant to be around for 15-20 years. If you said he's going to be your head coach for 15 years, it'd be like, all right, well, let's get him on a diet. The reality is, you know, five, six years, that's huge. Ten years? He's not going to die a hard time in ten years. So I think it's awesome that he eats 7,000 calories a day. Eat what you gotta do boy, bring us a Super Bowl and we love you long time Don't bring us a Super Bowl and yeah, I don't know It's not it's not really up for me to make a thing on his personal health I mean, it's not like he went swimming on the polar bear club or anything Alrighty, so let's wrap it up.
