00:21 Jake: the the the the podcast ever. I'm Jake and joining me for the 225th time almost sounds like an important thing. Two and a quarter time is Justin King of the Death Butter. That's bullshit. Good way to start. Fuck off. And so starts the podcast. Or as Jetmail call it, a Padcast. All right, we have a big agenda today. We are gonna talk about the Jets versus Packers. We did not have to do a Monday podcast because they lost. So we're gonna talk about who impressed and who depressed. We'll talk about the play of the game. We'll pick our fool of the game. So many choices. Oh, the fool. Nice. Maybe talk about some of the. it. leading headlines from the game. It's something I want to talk about because I'm going to bring it up every game until it matters. And then we have some news around the, what we call it, around the kingdom news. We'll talk a little bit about that. Then we'll get into our, we'll talk about the JK Fantasy League quickly. Talk about who won, who didn't. We'll make our jet kingdom. picks for the week three. Then we'll make our AFC East throne picks. We pick every AFC East game, all four of them with the spread. Or not with the spread, but we talk about them with points. And then we'll give the game of the week, talk about the Jets matchup with the Bears on Monday night football. And we'll give our keys to the castle. And then we'll pick that game. So let's get into it by talking about... The week that was the game that was I have a question for you. This was such an excellent game. No, no, no. I have a question for you. Just stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Such a such a good game. So I couldn't watch the game. I watched the first... First talking about. You're not playing long. Look at me. I couldn't watch the game, I was watching only the first half. So I only got to watch the first half. So the Jets crushed them, right? Because when I left, they were like winning and everything was good. What happened? You didn't watch the whole game, did you? No, I didn't. Well, yes I did. I watched the whole game. I actually was with you and some Packer fans who the best part of it was, A, they're so nice. So nice. Packer fans, and they're just very nice people. But it was literally as the 21-0 was starting, and we just and I just kept looking at each other like, uh, this is not the game we expected.
03:01 Jake: And they were looking at us like, uh, this is not the game we expected either. Let's get this straight. Justin: It was never 21-0. 21-3. That it was. Yes. That it was. So yeah, this was Jets game. This is how we do it. Jake: I feel like every fan says this is how we do it. This is the Raiders game. This is the Jets have a really special way of doing things. We have not lost an 18. This came up in the broadcast. We have not lost an 18 point advantage game. since 2002 Justin: Yeah, I'm sure you could say that about a ton of teams Yeah, that's your team points up is a lot just blows. All right. Yeah, it sucks I mean so we weren't supposed to win this game We didn't win this game that sucks because we really had a shot and there were some turning points and some moments that Sort of made you think, damn, if that didn't happen. Jake: Oh, there were, I think, three. And surprisingly, I thought that the couple that were bigger, I mean, there were some big moments, some big momentum shifts, obviously starting off the game with getting a fumble recovery and just having an easy touchdown was a huge one. And that's all for this video. I'm Dan. We'll see you next time. The Jets looked good. They were just this good looking team and I just didn't know. I couldn't expect it. They just kept scoring. I kept thinking, where's the thing? When's the other shoe going to drop? So I rewatched the replay today. I rewatched every play. A couple of things stood out. I don't understand why we couldn't get the run game going. Me neither. As I was watching it and you're up 21-3 it's like, Justin: why are we running more? Why can't Chris Johnson get her going? Jake: Nobody could get her going. I watched, I mean the one who looked like, I mean, statistically, but I'm saying from looking at the, from watching the game, the one who looked at they could actually run was Paul Powell. The other two, Paul Powell's a solid. Solid runner. Yeah, the other two were just being like... They were just being tackled quickly. They were just, I just think they were being, and I know I said this during the game, and you don't like the way I said it, I just feel like they were being hesitant. Like both of them, both runners just didn't look like they were attacking it. They both are being, no, I expect that from Chris Johnson. I just don't expect that from Chris Ivory. Chris Ivory, I expect just to hit the freaking hole hard and move people away. And this team had just got run over. What I feel like after watching the replay, what I feel like happened is the Packers D said, we're not going to let them run on us. We're going to do everything in our world. And that's why Gino had no problem throwing the ball in the start the game. To start the game. He didn't finish the game with very great statistics. No, but he could, but he, but we were running, they were stopping the run. And so he was able to pass. People were open. Um. I don't know. I don't know. So, um, you know overall 146 yards on the ground, but that's not really a lot considering Justin: It's actually a lot of running yards
06:02 Jake: I feel like it's not a lot for a Tino's up by so much like we didn't do or do something rushing yards is a lot Justin: I mean, all right, Chris gave up 140 something rushing yards. You'd be like what the fuck? Jake: Yeah, but that's with that's with Gino putting giving up 26 like doing 20. Yeah, they all count Justin: Every yard does actually count. Jake: The big, everybody averaged roughly in the threes, so they weren't very good runs. Justin: No, they couldn't get the running game going, and that was a shame because they had a chance. They really could have. Right, that includes the 37 run by Curly. I mean, it's not, well, anyway. Does count. And then the Packers couldn't run for shit. Jake: Well, yeah, that's gonna be a thing. I mean, no one's gonna run at one point during the game. I think it was during the third or fourth quarter going in. Rogers had more yards than Lacey turned the third quarter. Justin: And then Lacey is going to happen. Yeah, it's going to be the same thing every week. We're going to come in here and we're going to be like, man, that other team couldn't run for shit, but boy, were they able to throw the ball over us. Right. Jake: And then I guess I guess it's just I don't know like how do we lose this game just miss Justin: Yeah, there was there was there was a bad mistake in the At the end of the second quarter when we were up. I think it was 21 9 Who was we weren't really giving up touchdowns? We were gonna go into the half In my opinion, we were going to go into the half up at least 24-9 and getting the ball. And having not given up a touchdown to Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay Packers. And Winters gets beat on a move inside. Gino can't step. Into the throw gets hit as he throws floats one up there towards the goal line And so fell The receiver roll went up and got it Just saw the ball went for it got it like something needs to in that six foot six six foot seven seven needs to attack that ball or attack that defensive back or do something to the point where that ball doesn't get caught by anybody or he catches it. Right. At that point, I don't even know what the penalty is. You tell me. It's offensive pass interference. If I just if several just takes Jake: the guy and throws him to the ground like a ragdoll. Yeah, or you just got to jump over him. Justin: Like you don't have to like be so blatant about it. You just you go up with some authority and make sure that if Anyone's gonna catch it. It's you right and if nobody's gonna catch it fine And if you take 10 yards on that also fine, so what we still got the ball, right? And You know green Bay goes right down the field and instead of going into half, you know 24 9 Maybe even 28 9 and getting the ball
09:02 Justin: We're going in 21-16, only up five, which is nothing. I mean, that's nothing. Jake: Right. And then we just for the we score three points for the rest of the damn game. Justin: I was surprised to see it. I didn't realize this. There was no scoring in the fourth quarter. Zero points for back and forth. Yeah, nobody scored other than we scored, but didn't Yeah, that happened. That happened. I'm not going to make a huge deal out of that, though. Jake: I'm not going to make a huge deal. Justin: I know what was coming after that. the dagger to the heart, they're just gonna kick a game-winning field goal with three seconds left anyway. Jake: Right, and that wasn't the breaker because we actually made that fourth down. It was another fourth down that we made the fourth down. Justin: Like I'm not gonna get my pennies in a bunch over timeout call by Sheldon Richardson. Not, again. that did not win or lose us this game. What lost us this game was our defense's inability to prevent one receiver from catching over 200 yards. And it was two people on the field whose responsibility was to stop that receiver and they just couldn't do it. There was a lot of people's responsibility to stop that receiver and nobody could stop him, which makes me very nervous about facing thing. We played Denver first Denver first then but the Mary's Thomas is gonna be a hardcover Yeah, I mean maybe anybody on their team's gonna be hard-cover anybody on on The next series of games is gonna be pretty rough even we will be in San Diego now Jake: I see you in the beginning season like a tough game, But didn't look whatever Cindy goes and beats up on Seattle defense. You're like, holy shit Seattle defense is good. Yeah known for being good. Yeah, I I have a good feeling about that game Justin: though, I think Rex and Rex has the answer if we want to get we'll get into we'll finish up this game Jake: but we want to get into like positive moments was There is no one like Aaron Rodgers. He's one of the best he's pretty much the he's in elite by himself Tom Brady doesn't look like Tom Brady this year. Now maybe he'll get his swagger back. Baron Rodgers is Aaron Rodgers and he's very fast. In fact, that one touchdown where they didn't get the touchdown, because they decided to run it on third down, I was like, have you guys not been watching the game that I'm watching? Why would you even try to run it? You're not running it with any success. You're not getting any yards, but you can pass all over our ass. So why not just keep passing? Throw it, here's the thing. See that guy in the middle wearing number 20? Put a receiver around him. Because every time, they did, he caught the ball.
12:01 Jake: And two times he got touchdown, that guy is like toast. And the other guy on the outside, 27, he was toast. Justin: Well, let's give him, I'm gonna cut him some slack because he hasn't played in a football game. He had a high ankle sprain. Jake: He looks like he's, like he was hobbled. Justin: Yeah, he's hobbled. But why is he on the field? He shouldn't have been. Well then that's a retrying thing. Well he's got to work his way back and you can't really work your way back until you get on the field. Oh but he looks so slow. That's ankle sprain. Welcome to the world of a high ankle sprain. Remember Roddy White last year? He played like the first 10 games of the season. He just couldn't get over it. It was like dude you either have to rest or you're not going to be as good. Jake: Good then I just don't know why he's back in the game. Like then he just looked like he was hobbled. Like literally trying to chase down Jordy Nelson. It was a fast guy, but it sounded's not like the Some positives. DeMario Davis looked good I thought. Oh yeah. Justin: He's a good linebacker. Yep. I think he's got a very bright future ahead of him DeMario Davis. I like him in the middle. I like him in the middle. I like him in the middle. I the... He's kind of taking over from David Harris as the leader of the middle of the linebacker core. I thought Culpals looked really good too. He did. So, we're going to go ahead and do it again. So I've been impressed by Copples in both games. I think he's he's stepping up his game now to the point where it's like, all right, I'm a first round pick. This is my third season. I've got to really go out there and show why I was the first round pick on offense. We have a lot of people here who are interested in the Jake: going to ask you to come back and join us in the competition. I'm going to ask you to come back and join us in the competition, the competition Justin: I feel like Gino just overthrew him by a foot. Cause he threw on the run. I mean, I think if he, if he's climbing the pocket, which I love to see, I think he's looking a lot better. He's maturing. He's looking off. He's looking one way. He's looking the other, he's going through progression, he's climbing the pocket, he's always moving forward now, he's running backwards unless he's getting sacked to get put out of field goal position, but that's another story. He's doing a really nice job of avoiding the rush going forward. Guys who, who are good. I mean, you watch Aaron Rodgers, he's moving forward and he's scary. It's like oh shit we overran them right you don't want to overrun, and you want to keep them in the pocket guys like Andrew luck we watch on Monday night. He climbs that pocket really well and
15:19 Jake: He just would Justin: He was wide enough wide open by the standards that we set here. Jake: And I always I always say this and I know it's not fair, but I feel like two because there's another catch that he that he did not catch. And like the guy was able to knock it out of me, just didn't get his hands around it. And I was like, damn it. You watch the best of the best and they don't. Justin: They don the best of the best of the best. No, I know he wasn't the number one receiver on his team last year So I mean we don't have that's that's the thing we have nothing Remember last year is Jeremy curly in the slot David Nelson and Greg Salas off the street I know. And we,- and we have two of those three- three of those three people back on our team. Yeah, but they're not- they're not expected to do what they were a a expected, to do last year, because you have Deker on the field and he's still a weapon and he still can't- Jake: Nice throw, I think having, I think having him- I think having him out when he was out for that third and fourth Justin: and fourth quarter. Yeah definitely impacted the fourth quarter offense. Not having him on the field allows you to roll things one way or the other. The other guys aren't. I was really surprised that there wasn't as much running. I think you all- I don't think it was lack of attempts. It just, there was holes that it, it just, there was a Chris Johnson game. He didn't really touch the ball much. 12 rushes for 21 yards, which is nothing when you had a long of eight. So you take that eight. Desperate they're 0 and 1 they're in their home opener We played them pretty well we just could not contain that that Jake: I'm not oh, okay, we lost we lost by a touchdown
18:01 Jake: But it's it's and if the game had gone remember when I was making my predictions I was like we're gonna miss back and forth they'll score will score they'll score will score what just keep it happen Right we did the worst way blew our duck butter and totally all over the game The penalty wasn't bad. There was some big ones. We actually had seven penalties for 82. There was one. Justin: So again, we said there were a couple plays that really blew this game a little bit for us. The first was the Suggfeld, the interception. Yes. Is, you know, I don't think that's important. It was kind of like Porgino. There was like, there was like, he got, he was being hit. Then there's the 12 man on the field penalty which- which was which interception I don't think think we would have an exception would have, I think he may not Jake: That's not a good ratio, but I don't know if that's a deal breaker. Deal breakers to me, I think that pass that actually that Decker couldn't catch or that Geno overthrew whatever. Justin: Yeah, we just pinpointed a couple of plays here that caused the pent up from what could have been a blowout to what. ...became ...became a loss, and that's the game we play. Hm. Alright, so let's pick, uh, do you want to pick a play of the game? We don't pick a play in the losses. In a loss? No. Really? Really. Alright, no play of the game. Fuck it. Full of the game? Jake: So, so many to pick from. Yeah. Justin: I mean... I don't want to pick him again. I picked him as my knight last week, but I'll pick him as my fool this week Chris Johnson the radar's on you buddy. The microscope is focused on you Chris Johnson So he was my knight last week. I thought he brought a great presence and Got us off to the right on the right foot and this week. He was just War very pedestrian right 21 yards 1.8 per carry one attempt one catch for no yards on three targets.
21:00 Justin: 21-3 you should win that game and that's kind of on the game. I'm gonna give it. to an offensive player. I'm s I don't know who to pick like whoever covered Jordy Nelson I could say that whoever was covering him the whole game it was a A lot of people, well the two big touchdowns, Jake: there's a stat that I tweeted that showed every time who was. who the the corners who were covering how many they gave up and how many yards and when and Milner and Kyle Wilson gave up the yards and the touchdowns whereas the other two would give up catches But they would drop them for a couple yards. It was a stunning statistic Mine is actually the thing that I thought I'm getting sick of and I know two are rookies and ones just shit and we should replace The special teams punting, receiving, kick returning situation, you can't give us you can't make it harder for the team. So when you're punting the ball away, you can't punt it 30 yards. And and against Aaron Rodgers. And we're playing teams that again, we were able to stop him a little bit, but like. We're going to get fucked if he keeps doing that. And then the receiving, the guys were dropping the balls. Two of them dropped the balls. One of them dropped it and then went outside at the five. Justin: If you don't mind on a punt, if the guy muffs a punt, okay. And then covers it up. Fine. He's calling for a fair catch. He's not going to return it anyway. He muffs it. He falls on it. That's fine. You weren't going anywhere. But on a kickoff. the kick returner can't have the kickoff hit him in the face and then basically you have to take it out and you're at the five you can't you can't take a kickoff and return it to the five that's not acceptable no that's not a good place for the offense not to start no and they i think Jake: it made A non-thing is a game, that wasn't a game changer, I just, it was something that was irritating me. Who's your, who's your, it's those three people. Justin: The special team, why, why do we still have this punter? No, you gotta get rid of him. But why, why haven't we? I don't understand. Why didn't he last, all of last year, and why is he still the punter? And what kills me, watching him is watching the other. Yeah, why is there not just another punter? And the other punter puts it 60 yards, he punts it. 30 why is there just not another punter just hanging around he needs to be he needs if I was a punter I would just go to floor and park and sleep outside. That's right. I'm a punter I'd have a little cardboard sign on me will punt for weed like I'd be like Jake: For weed. Yeah, like you know the signs there's two other things happen in the game and Mohammed Wil and getting ejected for the fight for a little fight. I thought I watched it twice and I thought the back and forth was a little unfair. Like I thought it was always the second guy. It is and that was a little bit unfair. Justin: He knows that. Yes, fine. Jake: But I want to ask you, so I'm trying to be. No, I'm being a dick. Vic plays. Not done with it, three of them. One was for negative, yards.
24:02 Justin: Still feeling good about it? Still feeling indifferent, like it's part of the offense. You were saying it was good before. I think it's gonna be good. Okay, gonna be good. But so far, it's shit. That's okay. Okay. Jake: It's okay. It's a chess match. Winning in is fine. It's a chess match. But we're not it's not a chess match if you're out of the playoffs chess match. Oh What do you it's not that long. It's a very long season Justin: To say it's not that long is to not understand football. No, it's a pretty football season is not a long season is ridiculous Jake: Here's my thing I'm gonna say it again. Vic came in and on the one play where he just sat there, it was nothing. He didn't do anything and it was useless. Like he literally just didn't think. The other one, he came back to take the ball and he ran out and he just looked like... Justin: he just looked cold. The place where he is looking useless is... is not going to be... Those are setups. For now, you're right. He's going to stand there and look useless. So it's money in the bank. Eventually I'm going to be able to pull it out with interest. There's going to be a payoff there. I can't wait. And it might come in a very big moment in a very tight game. Jake: I think to me it's feeling very tricky and not, and I don't feel that Gino needs it, and I don't think it's helping him play. And I think he's doing better. And it's a down. It's a lost down. So you can say it's not a lost down to just have a guy stand there. Justin: It's it's not. Jake: It is. If that guy could have been doing something that he could actually be on. Justin: If you just like run the ball middle or run a whatever. Jake: Read option or when the when when he's taking a sack and losing yards. Justin: Yeah, that's a negative play. Jake: Fair enough. Justin: But I have faith that this will pay off. Jake: Okay in the long term. I'm literally putting it out there. I hope you're right, but so far two games Justin: It's been there's been no positive play of it. I understand zero positive plays. I totally get it, but I have faith that this will Play out in a positive light. All right time. Let's talk about some news here depressing stuff Why is the NFL so depressing? Jake: I mean, I don't know the AP stuff. I don't even know if it's worth this. What is going on with him He's now been deactivated again. He was it's not playing this week's on special super special Justin: I'm not playing all of a sudden like the NFL gives a shit. I Jake: Think it is anything. It's like how now now it's like everyone cares. So so how ridiculous No, it doesn't like they didn't give a shit They I, they did give a shit. It's just like this case has never come up. I mean, but like Greg Hardy, for example, he's now been deactivated. Justin: Yeah, but he played week one. Yeah. So how stupid do they look? Jake: And I, I'm not aware. I don't even play one on TV. Isn't the point of this. You have to know each individual case and what actually happened. No, no, no. Justin: But what I'm saying is Greg Hardy, that all happened in the off season.
27:00 Justin: Right. Right. And everyone has heard the 911 tapes that were readily available. I have not. Oh, well, you should hear them. They're very interesting. I don't care. They're kind of fucked up. But this dude is just like on the field in week one. And then what is it? Peer pressure. Jake: Yeah, well, the Ray Ray stuff is peer pressure. AP I think was peer pressure. I think all of them are now peer pressure. And then now they've signed, let's move off those two. I mean, we actually have a player on our practice squad. Yeah, Quincy, our draft fans. Quincy, Quincy, Quincy, not gonna play for a long time. A new not gonna play. A new not gonna play. A new not gonna play. But there's a new drug policy. Which I think they did a little bait and switch because they made some things tougher and they made some things easier. So they're gonna be the first one who's gonna test for HGH. HGH. HGH. HGH. The first national thing that they're gonna test for but they lowered the stuff on pot and things like that. Which I think is reasonable. Like it's. Justin: I think that's also reasonable. Reasonable. Although I think. Thank you. Thank you. Badly timed, terribly timed. This should all have been figured out in the off-season. Why are you doing this now? Stupid. I don't know if they're doing it now. It just might seem like they're doing it now. Jake: They're signing shit now in the middle of the season. Well, because some teams are again, remember that the NFL is run by not by Roger Goodell. He's just an employee. Owners and players. It's run by 31 people. 32. Justin: Nope. One? Packers do not have- Packers don't get one? What? There are no shareholders. There's no like, president who gets to speak for them? Jake: Probably, but he has no- he does not have the same say. As the guys with the billion dollars. No, no, no. The billion dollar club? Sorry, green man. Yeah, no. Alright. Um, so, I, you know. I could see a couple of those owners who maybe are affected by this. I don't know. There's three that are coming back this week because of it it. West Walker. They're all back. Three are. One is not. One. What would his um. Josh Gordon. Josh Gordon. Did they say the number? Yeah week 10. Week 10 or 10 games? He's out for 10 games. Out for 10 games. He actually comes back up whenever their buy is. He probably has to. He still doesn't count. He comes up with week 12 I think. Justin: Yeah, okay. Um But wasn't he like a three strikes guy? I'm kind of a believer in three strikes like if you fuck up three times you're kind of a fuck up Jake: Well, they're like a big that was the the season was for the three strikes. Yeah, so they lower the three strikes Justin: I feel like a Jake: But because because the part should the pie thing was like it was like point one two and the thing was point one three It was something ridiculous. Yeah, but Justin: Shouldn't it just be like zero? I'm a little biased because I have them on my team. Yeah, but shouldn't it just be zero? Jake: Like, hey, you can't use Pots. No, because then zero then it's zero for Mike Vick to torture dogs. Zero policy. Justin: Totally different things. No, why? Because one is drug use and you're saying, if you use this much, it's okay, but if you use...
30:00 Justin: This much is not okay. Jake: Things that are illegal. That's what this is the category in Jeopardy called. Things that are illegal. Things that are illegal. Torturing dogs. Doing drugs. Illegal. Beating your wife. All illegal. Beating your child. All illegal. Things that are illegal. Great. But they're saying you can do a little drugs. Justin: Just a little illegal. No. But not a lot of legal. Jake: No, they're saying that they're lowering the number. The threshold, meaning you can do it a little bit. Yes. Justin: Even though it's illegal. Jake: Where do you live it's illegal because there's also I don't know you're clearly I've never done any drugs but There is levels because again It's like oh I pet my dog or I beat him with a stick or I took him out from a chain Justin: I totally understand levels. Okay, but what I also understand in a room with people smoking pot and how it hit some of the levels Three strikes, my friend. Alright, you get fucked once. Okay, two games. You get hit again. Alright, four games, six games, whatever. Come on, man, you stupid enough to shoot three times. That should be a season. Why are you so dumb? You do this shit three times? You've already been caught twice, and you've got a fucking DUI hanging over your head. You are a fucking moron. That guy should be suspended for your season. It's absurd with him. Jake: Speaking of morons. Yeah, let's start with JK fantasy. I won. You did. I'm 2-0. I'm one of two 2-0 teams. You are 2-0. Justin: Thank you, Garrett, for the fantastic write-up this morning. I love reading. Yeah, I love reading. Jake: Unfair. But anyway, we all went against each other this week. Why is it unfair? Well, for everybody else who's not listening. Oh, well, well, just very quickly, whatever. Yep. Justin: I came from the dead and got the high of the week. Good for you. Jake: That's good. I'm not picked to win this week. I'm up against Sizzle Daddy Jets who you just destroyed. That's who I just beat. He had 59 points. Justin: Nobody really destroyed anybody. We both had very bad people. Jake: No one hit over 100 but me. Yeah, nobody even did that. I could have beat everybody. Justin: All right, I didn't. All right. Moving on. Moving right along. Moving right along. Let's go to the pick-em. Nobody really cares except for 10 other people. Speaking of doing terribly. Probably. Jake: I'm beating you now, Arin. You did better than I did. You had nine. I'll never beat you in this. prospective. You had nine right? I had six. The winner of the week was JMac 86. Justin: JMac 86 with 11. Jake: 11's respectable. No, 11's solid in this week. Justin: Yeah, because nine in week one by the Mean Machine, not. Not good, but good consistency. 9-9 for Mean Machines. Well, and Broomey, Broomey Jet and Mean Machine. They're both tied. Tied at 18. So, um... But I'm right there. I got 14. I'm beating you. Oh, yeah. You really care about in this thing. And I never... You will never beat me. I will come back and beat you. Don't listen to my picks and think that they're any good. Anyway, so let's do this. Let's make our picks. Let's do the Jack Kingdom pick-em. Every week we pick... every game against the spread. We skip the AFC East throne picks so we can talk about them later so it's always fun to hear me try and skip. I have a new system. I picked them ahead of time so they're a different color so I can now skip them. It's very good.
33:03 Justin: Oh, yeah, now I now I won't miss ever. Okay, and if I really if I miss you should really make fun of me I will even started off Thursday night That's tomorrow. I'm done. Don't ah CBS doing a nice job on there. I like these I like this well Thursday night thing where it's all division games Jake: I like that I think the job on the Rihanna thing. I think we talked about last week. Was it she Yeah, she's already, she's back. They reversed. Justin: They were like, they listened to us. They did, they were like, ooh. That was a dumb ass decision. That was a very stodgy. Jake: And we sound racist and probably stupid. Very stupid. So let's just stop sounding stupid. Justin: Let's not be dumb. Stop being dumb. NFL, you're so good, but you're so dumb. Oh, it's a female singer. Females get abused. Let's not have any female singers. All right. Jake: Oh, by the way, this is still very tough because you just can't tell, especially after this, week after last week and this week, you don't know what a team is. Like Justin: What do you think? Week 4, Week 5? I like 3 weeks. If I see a pattern 3. I can tell you right now, I think there's 4. Supremely awful teams in the NFL right now. Tell me I think Oakland is a Completely awful terrible team. I think Jacksonville is pretty awful terrible I think the Rams are pretty awful even though they won I think they're awful terrible played another bad team and and I think the Giants are really awful Jake: Thing is I don't think that those four if you said one of them is gonna rise up Think it's the Giants good Justin: They just have to go throw a couple guys on I are Like losing talent Gerald Jernigan The ride receiver is on the IR Beeson's not practicing again because what he missed the whole preseason with is flaring up and There's another guy they just threw on IR which I was like, oh, they're gonna miss him Oh the corner that that Walter Thurman the guy they got from Seattle really I are so they just to return and not to return don't know the designation but but be Thurman and Jernigan are both on the IR now. I don't think they're a good Both games that they've played and they're not very good. Alright, let's get to it All right Thursday night Atlanta is hosting Tampa Bay Atlanta's giving six and a half rise up Tampa's one of those bad teams Atlanta is coming off that loss. They're gonna want to score They don't want to shoot out on Thursday night. They're gonna throw out a point. Give me Atlanta Jake: Agreed, they'll cover the seven at home. Milena will rise up and I think Tampa Bay is you're right. You're not very good. Yeah Justin: Cincinnati who is looking like one of the better teams in the league Jake: This is typical Cincinnati though typical they look the wind and 11 games and then they'll lose their first playoff game Justin: Well, they might, they might, um, they might get up there into maybe getting a bye.
36:03 Justin: They might, they might be the second best team in the AFC right now, but again, it it's so early. Long season right? Jake: Short season. Oh okay. Justin: Too early but long season. No. Too early but short season. Got it. Short but too short. Try to speak. Try to speak. Cincinnati is hosting Tennessee. I think Tennessee is better than what they showed last week. Cincinnati is favored by seven. I don't know if AJ Green's playing, I'm gonna take Tennessee and the seven. Jake: Agreed. I think Tennessee is a little bit better than what they showed. I don't think they're a lot better, but I think they'll keep it close. I like Tennessee. I could also see Justin: Simpson, I just destroyed him in this game. This game is a road favorite in Cleveland who has played two very good games so far, although we don't know how good New Orleans is, especially on the road. They've lost five straight road games. They can't stop a nosebleed, as Rex would say, about his brother, ha ha. And Cleveland has not looked bad, right? And I don't know, I feel like they have bad karma written all over them. Give me the home dog, Cleveland. Jake: A very low scoring game. They've played well. Again, I think Baltimore's in that. I think there's something, and we were talking about the Saints two years ago and whatever gate, I think there is something about like, it just gets, there's like a cancer that gets in the locker room and you can't shake it. And it makes you that much slower, that much practice less. Um, I think. Justin: Mike Patton be a really good head coach. It's too early to tell. But they've played two games where they, by all accounts, should be 0-2 with the teams that they've played. And they really hung in there in both of these games and they won against New Orleans. So maybe Mike Patton's got something going here. I feel, I mean, no weapon on offense. Jake: Cleveland to me is like the Bills. They have nothing on offense. Like the two and no bills. Like you're gonna look at the two and no bills and you're gonna be like, look at the two and no bills! Like the five and no bills that were five years ago. Okay. Yeah, I just, it's not too soon to tell. They're Cleveland, I just don't think they're good. Okay, I'm still picking them in this game. Justin: Me too. Detroit is hosting Green Bay and Detroit's favored by two. This line is creeping up from one. I just saw Green Bay play. And I don't think they're I don't know if they're that good
39:14 Jake: They're not good. They're great.. Yeah, they're one of the best defenses in the Justin: Well, no, just for the record. You don't have Megatron. That's true. Dallas, on the road, in St. Louis, I see one I see one one all the way up. Alright and Jake: And we're almost got to get to 8, no. 8 and 8. That's what you gotta do. Justin: Exactly. They're so bad though. Maybe St. Louis will be able to, I don't know, Dallas should be able to run on them. Alright, New Orleans is home. They're a totally different team. It's taking on Minnesota who is like, alright. This is a team who are you. Who knows. They dominated week one, they got dominated Week 2. They don't have Adrian Peterson. and just kind of like. That's a big difference. Hey, we can score points when we have this best running back in the league back there, but Matt Asiata not doing it for us. Maybe okay for fantasy, but not in real life. I'm... Man, this is awesome. I don't know how to describe it. I don't know how to describe it. And that's a lot of points for a team that gives up a lot. Oh man, that's not good. All right, hold on, let me save this. Let me save this. , it's making me sign in So New Orleans is favored by 10 and a half. That extra one just bumped me back to Minnesota. They're tough at home but I don't know. 10 and a half's a lot for a team that can't stop anybody. Jake: I think Minnesota will hang in there with them. But this one had a lot of stuff going wrong. They had blocked kicks that went for touchdowns. They had a lot going wrong for them, so I don't know if they'll be able to get in the hole. Justin: Can't you see them being able to just like, alright, Cordyrel Patterson, it's time to
42:02 Justin: put you everywhere and New Orleans doesn't know how to do shit. Right. It can't stop you. Jake: I could see that. We're just gonna get you the ball. Do you know that they never handed it to him in the past? Gotta hand us the ball like two or three times. They didn't even hand it to him. Justin: They just looked like, you know what, we're gonna lose to the Pats, we're not gonna show anything. Yeah. It's a long season. It's a long season. Only 14 more games to play. It's a long season. Yeah. I'm taking Minnesota. A couple more one o'clock. Only three four o'clock this week. Sun setting, um, Houston to and oh, Houston is coming to New York to play the Giants. I are favored by two and a half. The team who lost 14 straight games last season. and had the number one overall pick, who's injured and not even playing right now, not even playing, And he drew fucking Stanton. Yeah, former Jet drew Stanton. Former, like, one week Jet. Jake: He was there for a week. Maybe two. Justin: Come on, the Giants are so bad. It's unbelievable. Jake: I just can't see them keep pretending to lose. Justin: Have you watched the games? Yes. So why? So what are you seeing there that looks... Jake: Anything remotely decent? I just think that it's all based on this this terrible offense And I feel like they're gonna they're gonna start to go. Okay UI Let's just let you do some of the things you want it's like when you when they went into the two-minute drill against us in the In the preseason like all of a sudden you like kind of woke up because he's like, oh, I don't have to play this bullshit offense that you're saying, I'm going to play the offense I want. And he started went right down the field and score. It's like, put him back to where he wants to be. So I think they're going to win. Justin: I don't. I think they're too stubborn. Well, maybe it's a new coordinator putting in his system. I just don't see that happening anyway. We disagree. Whatever. Philly. True. No, it looks good. Philly, the comeback Kings. They're good. Ah, they can score at will. Philly hosting at home Washington without the services of Robert Griffin the third. Might be better for them. It might be, it might not. In the short term, it might be. Her cousins might be a better fit here, but... RG3 is a much more talented football player than his one year of talent was very talented But his well cousins has never started him won a football game In the end ever started never started in one He did start last year and he did start other games in RG3 rookie season Yeah, I'm not saying Washington is gonna win this Phillies favorite by six and a half and I don't see Washington being able to stop them Jake: And it could certainly is gonna play their hurry up. Yeah, let's go it's and they're gonna keep doing it
45:03 Jake: Yeah, and I don't know if Washington I just don't think also Philly's always gonna get into it like in the last two games They've gotten to a pit and they had to fight the wire out Then one of these games not gonna do that. They're gonna blow somebody out Yeah, the only thing is if you and Justin: score very quickly, you do hand over the ball to someone else. Then you can score. That's their thing. They do it. They play at that pace regardless, but they can run. So like they can run out of game if they have to. And they've got all this. They'll do it at a high, at a fast pace. Yeah, they'll do it. But they'll run, they'll run, run, run and keep the clock moving. All right. I'll take, I'm taking Philly too. Yeah, I can't pick the backup quarterback there. The Colts, they're 0-1-2. They can't go 0-1-3. They can't, right? Especially not in Jacksonville. So that's not happening Jake: No, soo, so I I, I see, I mean that game on Monday I watched 77% of it and then after that gave up I don't, I don't, it's Jacksonville isn't a home, home team, like they're not someone who they're going to play in Jacksonville. And those tarps don't root for them. Justin: No, well, Jacksonville has all these like hot tubs and like fantasy zones. It's like that. There's all these girls in bikinis in like the pool and the hot tub zone. They're all like looking up there. I think it's just a ploy to distract the other team because they're like, look, there's hot chicks and bikinis up there. I don't think that that's going to work with the cheerleaders on the side. Jake: It's just. I mean, I love the idea of being innovative in a stadium and doing different things. Justin: Well, they have tarps over like half the format. That's what it's just like. It's like, it's an ad. Yeah. It's not a thing. Jake: So you like, you like the Colts? I like the Colts. Justin: I think they have a tough schedule. Jake: And they're going to come back and they're going to win. And then people will start talking. If they lose this, people will be like, oh, you're, you're, you're almost out of it. They are my pick to win the suit, well not win the Super Bowl, but to get the Super Bowl. Justin: So I have to get them to start to win. In their division, I don't think they're really out of it. This is a division game. I'm gonna pick the Colts to cover the seven. Yep. I need to. If they win big. Even if they get down early, I think they come. Jacksonville doesn't have it in them to really stick it out. All right, this is a good game here at 405. So it looks like... CBS has a double header, so this won't be on national TV San Francisco goes to Arizona. This is a good game This is gonna be a low scoring beat the shit out of you game. Yep, San Francisco coming off of a bad loss Terrible. No, they had to lead they were up 17 nothing when San Francisco loses 17 nothing lead Jets was an 18th Point I mean look at the teams do it and you'd think San Francisco would be better than that But they're on the road and they're favored here by three in Arizona, and I think Arizona is good problem is I don't know
48:04 Justin: I'm picking this game presuming Carson Palmer. You don't think I'm getting Carson Palmer. You know, I'm Drew Stanton You're getting you stand that's a fact. Am I getting Drew Stanner? What are you saying? I'm predicting to sin Well, you're are you predicting it or are you going off of like some knowledge? No, no knowledge. I have no knowledge Well, I know you have no knowledge, but if this situation no knowledge of the situation Jake: All I remember hearing was after the air is after Arizona game that it was like there's no timetable for him to return Justin: Alright, so there's some news here. Arians claims drew Stanton still on track and that changes everything I was gonna pick Arizona, but I'm no can't pick a backup against that San Francisco Oh, I gotta pick the Niners. Yep favored by three. Yep. I don't like to have a lot of favorites lock it. Okay Game of this is like game of the game of the day I'm sorry game of the day right in the day. I'm surprised. This is not prime time, but it's it's prime It's the four twenty five games like a Okay, this is a national game. Yep. I'll be watching at all is hosting Denver And they are favored by five at home. They just beat Denver last year by 35 on a neutral site, but they also just went to San Diego and got beat. Different team on the road. I totally agree. We know this about Seattle. Different team on the road. I think they know how to slow Denver down clearly. And I think they're not going one and two. This team is way too good to be one and two. And I think that they are more than five points better than Denver. I like them. I'm picking Seattle. I'm picking Denver. Why? You think they got like revenge on the brain or something? Jake: I think they've got this whole off season looking at this. They got this one circled. And yes, I think there's a list can be allowed. And yes, this can be whatever. But... I just think they're going to go on with their vengeance and they're going to play a totally different game and it's not going to be stoppable. I mean, I'll at least take the points. I think it'll be close. I could see Denver winning this game. There are teams that can go in there and beat them. And I think this is one of those teams. Justin: I think you have to be a more physical team to beat them there. I don't think finesse teams. Jake: I don't know if they are that finesse. Justin: I think they're pretty finesse Denver. Jake: I can run the ball. They've got a... aggressive... I think of them as a finesse team. Yeah, well, if the first snap of the game, they cough it up and, you know, goes for safety, we'll see how it goes. I mean, you know, I mean, I think there are some things that that game was defined by a few things and I don't think that's going to happen. So I think, I think they'll stay close. Moving on. Sunday night. Carolina host... This feels like a wah wah wah game like meh. Carolina hosts Pittsburgh. What's interesting about this game? Justin: Why would they even schedule it like this?
51:02 Justin: Well you know, they're kind of rewarding Carolina with a prime time home game here. for like doing 12 and four last year. Yeah, for being good and for having Cam Newton and for like being and having Luke, Luke Kuechly, like, hey, you get to host a prime time game. You guys have legitimate stars. You're you are good. I guess I couldn't do it. Seattle took a Seattle just hosted a prime time Thursday night. So it's like two in the first three weeks. That'd be a little bit like, you know, and Denver's been on in prime time already and the Colts have been on twice in prime time. Let's get some new blood in there. So Carolina hosts Pittsburgh. Carolina is favored by three and a half and I think they win by three, give, give me Pittsburgh. Jake: Ah, they'll win by more than three. Carolina gets the Pat's prime time last year. Do you remember that? They beat them. Yeah, Carolina's good. They got a good defense. I don't see what Pittsburgh's going to be able to do in this game. They can be shut down. And Carolina's good defense, really, the run D is very good. Yes, excellent. So, one way. Pittsburgh's ability to run they've got two what good wide receivers I know both are on your fantasy teams or half this team is on your fantasy team I just don't think they'll do it. All right. I don't know how much Caroline can score So I don't think they've got a lot of talent around them, but whatever. I'll take Carolina Monday night is the jet games We're gonna skip that one. So later. Yeah. All right, so let's go to our jet Kingdom pick them We just did that. Let's do AFC. Justin: How long have you been hosting this show? Jake: Fucking too long. Seven years. So I started to put our numbers and like what we did wrong and right in our pick-up. So in week one, we both got one of our predictions right. In week two, we got one of our predictions. So we're both one and one or two and whatever. Two and six. Justin: This this week we have four games. There. You guys are first four game AFC East can't wait red Are these all early? Yes For us on Monday That's correct. All right. Well, we'll know the head of the year. We'll know the makeup of the eight. Yes, we will Yes Kansas City is going so every AFC East team is home is what is what you're saying you wrote these out I didn't really check them yes that's correct everyone's home that's pretty crazy I don't mean to double check that I'm pretty sure in Miami and just for the sake of it Buffalo is at home New England is at home Miami's home pretty sure the Jets are humbles. I'll be pretty sure I will be there too my first game So Kansas City is going to Miami We don't know about Jamal Charles yet. Do we know he's out. He's out out Okay, four weeks. They are in rough shape this Are they a one too? Uh, I think so. I think so too. Miami's one on one. They just looked bad against Buffalo. That was a hyped up crowd. I didn't realize that was like the Jim Kelly, Joe Kelly, cancer free announcement
54:00 Justin: crowd, Ralph Wilson, dedication type of stuff. Like that was a real round up cry. I think. Anyone would have would have had a tough time there on Sunday. They just look bad. They did look bad Jake: They lost no shot Marino now. Yeah, he's out with them. So they're back to have a little bow or something Justin: So it's like it's either side Daniel Thomas. They're old running back. Yeah Yeah They're back to him and and and the other guy who sucks Lamar Miller. I'm our Miller who sucks. Yeah, so I'm gonna go on a limb here. I'm gonna pick Kansas City to win this game because I did finally get to see a little bit of Miami the other day and and They didn't look like forget what the bills were doing to them. They just didn't look any good on offense and when EJ manual can drop a decent amount of points on you like I don't know I don't I don't really feel like that bodes well for you as a team in general and I think all their linebackers are hurt Miami I just don't like it I feel like Kansas City is gonna be able to Control the ball a little, score. I like Kansas City 2017. The one thing that I think Miami can do is get to the passer. Jake: I just don't see them going in there and be being able to start a run game, being able to take the pressure off of Alex Smith. I think they'll be home, they'll be mad. Justin: Think I think I mean works for Miami like home Jake: Mad, I don't really think of like Miami home tso they did the Patriots they got over Tom Brady wouldn't let them frickin they know I just don't really think of them that way You know I see Miami winning this Casey's very good and they really are terrible. I see Miami winning 29 79. It's a weird thing, okay Justin: And then we have San Diego traveling all the way across the country to play in Buffalo. And that is just so fucked because I just feel like Buffalo is going to win. You think Buffalo is going to win 3-0? I just feel like that's a tough spot for San Diego. One o'clock. to go to Buffalo after buff like that. That crowd's going to keep going until Buffalo sucks. And then they're going to get a little depressed and like stop, but they're going to keep going. They're going to be just as crazy and insane for San Diego as they were last week for Miami. And they're going to just keep riding it. Jake: It's not the same rivalry. Justin: It'll be no, but that that fan base is really good. They're going to they're going to. Be out in full force and I like them to win 22-16. Don't ask me how they get to 22, but they get there, they're the Bills. Jake: Yeah, I just don't, I don't see Bills going 3-0. I don't really either, but I, I don't know. You're picking them to go 3-0. Justin: I just can't see it, but I'm picking it.
57:01 Jake: The 3-0 Buffalo Bills. Justin: Yeah. Jake: All right, well I don't see them winning. I'm saying, say. San Diego who just lost Ryan Matthews, typical. So I think he made it through one whole season. I think it'll be close, but I'm taking San Diego to win 2019. I'm not a believer in EJ manual. I don't think they're going to have punt or kick returns for touchdown. They had a lot go right for them against Miami. I don't know if all that just goes right for them again. And San Diego looked like a solid team. And of course they were at home. I think San Diego is a good team. Justin: They went against a very good defense and they made them look silly. I understand. I don't know about silly, but they scored some points. They scored and scored and scored again. How many did they score? I don't know. I don't know what the score was. Well, you're like, they scored and they scored and they scored and they scored. You don't even know the number. I will tell you. I knew that number. Well you don't because you have to look it up. Well I know that it's more than... Jake: I know it's more than... Let's see, I don't know what the number is. You don't even know shit. I know it's high. You know literally nothing. I know it's high. Justin: You know what Duck Mudder tastes like. I do not. You absolutely do. 30 to 21. That's a lot of points. Exactly. Just what I said. A lot of fucking points. Let's see what they do on the road at 1 o'clock on the east coast. 30 points against fucking sea hives. Let's see what they do on the road. Good. at one. Let's talk about the match up of the century. Well, Oakland at Jake: biggest line of the year so far. 14 is it actually 14 or did it? Justin: Well, that's your you. You put it was 14. Yes. So it is 14. New England is going to crush Oakland. They're going to completely. This is going to be a vintage. New England domination game. This is their opener. Week 3, their first opener. They're gonna cream them. I can't see how Oakland moves the ball against New England. I just don't see how they're gonna find anyone to pass the ball to. I can't see them running on them either. I just don't see it. I think 41-10 is about right. 41 10 41 burger on how I hate high school you go can throw 30 on Seattle Don't you think knowing them could throw 40 on Oakland? I guess I just feel like some points Jake: They start to I think they start to you know play back to their once they get up to a high point They're not New England. They don't fuck around they do that Justin: I'm Denver either they don't fuck around either They're like, fuck it, Peyton, go for nine. Jake: I think they're gonna beat them by all they think it's gonna be. I don't think it'll be by 30 points. I say it'll be... New England will win. Yeah, again, that's like, how do you have New England winning? Justin: Oh yeah. By what score? 30 to 17. So you have Oakland covering by one point. Yeah, baby! That's what you did there? Jake: Yeah, that's what I did there. Justin: So let's talk about the big game. Big game? Big game, big receivers on the other side of the ball. Just what we want. Let's talk about their injuries first. So they had injuries. What kind of injuries? Our injuries or their injuries?
1:00:00 Justin: Let's talk about both. Okay, who do you want to talk about first? Jake: So I think on our side it's... Decker. Decker with a questionable. Same hammy I think that he hurt in the pre-season. Yep. Aggravated. Aggravated again. And I think we still have Milner. I think those were only the two big ones. Justin: So far so good I think. As far as injuries go. You're number one receiver. Well I mean listen I think he's gonna play. Have you seen what what the fuck went on he saw last week with the injuries? It was borderline obscene. Everyone's out. It's like goodbye goodbye goodbye see you later goodbye see you in four weeks see you in six weeks see you never see you next year. It's like wow this is bad news bears and I'm like jeez this is jesus 425 and I've already seen like three weeks worth of injuries in the first quarter of the first games like what's going on. Jake: Mo Mo Mo Mo Mo Mo Justin: is a... is a deep, deep threat, like a real down the sideline guy. And they throw the ball 20 to 30 yards downfield a lot. They weren't doing that. And I They didn't seem to be slowed down, seem to bother Marshall as he's grabbing one-handed touchdown in the end zone and left and right. Clearly the guy, so he's the guy he looks at and they have a really worried about Forte. No, he's not the kind of running back that really gets me Worried. I don't think their line is spectacular I feel like Jay Cutler holds the ball and I feel like we can get to him. He's gonna take some shots and I just am hoping that that pressure that like getting to Cutler Enable us to get to him early enough to actually sack him and not. Allow him to like he makes him like incredible. Just throws off the back foot and these receivers are huge. They just go up and get it. Yeah. Hoping that they're not healthy enough to do that kind of thing and that they try and keep it short intermediate as opposed to because I, I could see it already. Jeffrey just torching someone down the sideline. Any one of our dudes. Anybody that's covering him, Jake: just torching him down the sideline.
1:03:01 Jake: Here's the thing. Jake Cutler is no Aaron Rodgers. No, he's not. Jake Cutler makes a lot of mistakes. Justin: He's like a Brett Farvey kind of guy. He's not as good as Brett Favre. Ratfire is great, but I can throw a lot of interceptions He really has a lot of confidence in his right arm Jake: But he can but he I think he's a guy and this is a Nike of the castle to winning this game is Yeah again not worried about the run game. I mean I think you have to still be stout and not let that happen Clearly there. It's not like they haven't watched any tape. They're gonna go jets secondary gonna throw But he can make mistakes. Here's what we need to win this game. Those turnovers, I think we had one last week, right? One more turnover. And it was a fumble. We had a turnover. We got a turnover. We forced the turnover. First play of the game. But then nothing else for the rest of the game. Justin: No, we had an interception that wasn't an interception. Jake: And I think there's two other fumbles that we didn't get. Right. And there was one more that like it was literally in the corner's hand. In order to beat this team, you're going to have to get him the turnover. But he will give it to you. Cutler will throw interceptions, you just have to pressure him, and then he'll start throwing them. And I think he's one of those quarterbacks, like once he gets into like a spike, like you can get him to throw like four in a game. So like that's the way I think we can win this game. We have to take the opportunities when we're giving it and make those turnovers and make them play. I'm team. I think we will be able to score. I think we'll be able the bears are not a great defense. They're an okay defense. They just shut the Niners Justin: No. No. No. Jake: No. No, I think they're a run first team. Really? Justin: Yeah. But you don't think they have like a better quarterback than the Jets? I think they probably do. Jake: Probably? Yeah, they do. Justin: Okay. And you don't think they have better receivers than the Jets? Between Crabtree, Bolden, Vernon Davis. For a baby Johnson was very nice hurt in that game. I'm just saying like Vernon Davis Jake: I don't know if Stevie Johnson kind of fits well, that's your third guy. Yeah, it's better than our third guy better than our second guy What that David Nelson? Really? Yeah, Stevie Johnson Stevie Johnson what four years ago? I'm bold and boldest solid best receiver on our team I think I don't think so. I think it would be I don't give you as good as Decker, but he would be he'd be number two
1:06:02 Jake: He's pretty bad. No, I think that I listen Kaepernick is also as I'm a true three time Kaepernick owner. I watch him a lot. He's very hot and cold. He can get very on a hot streak and then he can just start making stupid mistakes. That's what he's making last week. So here's Justin: what I'm looking for. I think. Chicago has a really good screen game. I think they screen really well with Forte. He catches the ball a lot out of backfield. I think they have good wide receiver screenplay. I'm just... we need to shut that shit down. We need to make short tackling. Part of this game. He can't be a factor in a positive way for Chicago whatsoever So you need to shut him completely down and then in in sort of reverse fashion We need to get our running backs going because that makes That makes the engine run. When we can get Chris Johnson going for five, six yards a tote, and then wear that defensive line down and then bring Ivory in, and then, you know, throw a screen pass because, because, because Allen is trying to get his sack and that's all he, Jared Allen, that's all he cares about is I want to get to get to the Gino and get to the quarterback, throw a little screen behind him. We need just the opposite of them. Like we need our running backs to step up and really play a good game. Where we need to really shut their short stuff down, make them go down the field. Let, let the front four front five get to color. Cause he will stand there and he will take it. Yeah. He's a punching bag. Sometimes he might not finish. He'll stand in there. He'll, he'll take those shots. Um, so we got to take them on him. And we got to make them pay Make them pay Jake: I think seriously because this was a team that I used I would have said as before last week that if we can't get the Running game going we're not gonna do it didn't matter last week. We couldn't get the running game going They could still move the ball. We didn't move the ball in the second half. No out of three now. No So it was a back and forth, it was a ping pong match. No, they scored a lot in the third quarter. The other thing is, second half. I want to see a good second half. I'm trying to think of the Raiders game. Second half was kind of wang wang on the Raiders game. Justin: Well, usually we play better defense in the second half. I've seen a lot of Rex Ryan jet teams come out and shut teams out in the second half. Right. I've seen a lot of like. Thank you. damn, first drive touchdowns and then they score like 13 points in the first half and they finish with 16. It's like, yeah, that's more, like, I feel like this, Jake: the offense needs to to come out in the second half because again, this is not this isn't team that's going to go away. They're not team that can't do it. They've got a lot of weapons. I do think we can move the ball and score on them. I just. I think it's gonna be an opportunity. My score is Jets win 25 to 23. Justin: So funny. So we didn't even look at each other's scores.
1:09:01 Justin: No we didn't. Jake: Although mine were there before you made your picks. But whatever. Justin: But I didn't peek at them. I also have the Jets winning by two. Nice. And it's 26-24. I will be so happy. It's in the last seconds too. Oh, really? Yeah, this is gonna be a the Nick folk hero. See what our defense does is Unfortunately, I feel like they don't put the clamps down when they have to so I feel like there's gonna be a couple of scoring a Couple of scores here in the last three minutes. I can see us up 2321 with like five minutes remaining and the Bears getting a field goal and going up 24 23 us two minute drive down three seconds left timeout get that field goal walk off winners Jake: 26 24 kind of we did last Monday our Monday night game in Atlanta I hope so. I hope so. Anyway, so that's it for week. We'll be back next week. Whether we win or lose, we'll not be doing a Monday Night Podcast because we'll be at the game. You can follow us in all the normal places. And again, win or loss, win, lose, or draw, we'll be back with yet another episode. Next week, it's Justin and Jake saying. Go Jax!
