00:09 Justin: The best place to be is when expectations are high. Get used to it. It's always going to be that way. Jake: Welcome to Jet Kingdom Podcast, the longest running New York Jets podcast ever. But of course, it's time to close up shop. Just kidding. It's Jake joining me for 233 times in a row. Probably the, probably the most painful season we've had in since we've done this podcast Seven years most painful definitely most painful season definitely the worst season Is justin go justin Justin: Kind of thinking that there was a bad man here in there but not it Three four win game. I think there's a four there was a four win season in there really? Yeah Jake: Yeah, well guess what we're a two in season so we are hey, let me ask you a quick quiz Justin: Do you have the box square open? I don't look at it. Okay. Well, okay. Look at me. Look at me dead in the eye Stop you just look no, I'm looking down the agenda. We don't need a general Nobody gives a fuck about the agenda. No one really cares. They don't care at this point No one cares. Let let me ask you a Another guess, who's the Jets leading receiver in this football game? Jake: Oh, oh no, let's was that a run with Greg Salas only five guys actually caught the ball Justin: Okay, Greg Salas was not one of them. Okay, who was the Jets leading receiver in this football game? Did you know throw themself? Eric Decker his Decker. No, Eric Decker was not leading receiver in this football game. Oh, it was Zach Sudfeld. Zach Sudfeld was the leading receiver with, you want to gather how many yards he led the team with? So I just watched Jake: the replay of that catch and I'm going to say 14. 20. Oh, okay. Did he get twice or Justin: once? No, one target, one reception, 20 yards with our leading receiver. He averaged 20 Jake: yards per a catch in that game. So... Justin: And Blah Power was second. Jake: Oh, so, OK. Oh my God. All right. So so we have an agenda. I just wanted to start off with that. Yeah, that's where we'll start off. And then let's talk about Jets versus Miami. We'll talk about the fantasy.
03:01 Jake: Including the jess versus the vikings as you wrote, but i'm going to change it to vikings Yes, I just changed it. So it's oh my god. I'm just looking at stuff Justin: It's so pathetic the castle on losing to the vikings. Um, mike wallace was miami's leading receiver with 69 yards And that's more That's more net yards than the Jets threw for in totality. Jake: So, alright, so let's talk about the game. First of all, we have to talk about the tip of the best part of the game, which is always... The best part of the game. The tailgate. Justin: I wasn't there, so I know. Jake: So the tailgate, I got invited. I think this is something that the Jets are doing this season, taking it all there. They invited me to this. Justin: That's because there's like 14 of them still going to the game. Jake: That's right. And you know what? Thanks for inviting me. But they invited me. They called it like, I don't know what they call it, like Happy Hour? I don't know. You were there. But it was cool. We went to the green room, which is like the Jets. They have a bar and whatever. And so it was indoors because it was pissing down terrible rain. And then we got to go out in the field, which was fun. But the best part was, we went in the field and I was with my wife and the Dolphins fan and another friend who was a Jets fan. And we're on the field for a little bit. And my wife, she's like, I've already been on the field. Come on, let's go. It's Lirani. And I'm like, oh man, it's so true. Cause I've been on the field a lot. So I'm like, all right, fine. Let's just go inside. But then the best part was we went into like the main concourse, like where the 50, the 50 yard line is where we came in. And there's like, there's like lots of food stations and it's where you can go into the, to the store. And we just hung up there for like a couple hours and just had beers and food and whatever. And it just. It was like this really nice atmosphere of people hanging out. Justin: Where exactly were you? Jake: It's in, once you come inside, we never go, because we're always tailgating, but it's like inside on the first level. Oh. Like when you come out of the shop, you come out in the next section. Justin: Like the big concourse. Jake: Yeah, it was just kind of fun. Isn't that where like the 50 is, where the players walk? Yes, and they had a DJ going. Oh, yeah, it was a nice little thing going on there. So it was a nice, it was actually quite fun. That's kind of cool. And it was warm. And then the game started. And then the game started. Justin: And we were winning. Jake: Yeah, so I mean, I mean, anybody who hasn't watched this a game, I mean, we were we were winning. First of all, we didn't do it. We didn't do a podcast after the Bills game, did we? No we didn't. So we're not even going to talk about the Bills game. Justin: What do you want to say? Jake: We lost yet another game. We get swept by the fucking Bills. Justin: What else do you want? What do you want to actually talk about that game? Jake: Well, because Michael Vick got benched in the middle of the game. He got hurt. Yeah, not so much. That's a benching. What's your point? That Gino came back, that this game started with Gino as the quarterback again. I mean there's lots of new stories in here that you kind of skipped over here. Justin: You know who could have played quarterback in this game? You. Well, me. Matt Sims. any Matt Sims anyone Jeremy Curly
06:04 Jake: I mean really they could have they could have clearly for the amount of time they could have run the wildcat for his man times as he dropped back to Justin: I was home you were at the game, so I had the advantage of Watching on television with The announcers who were ripping the jet well they weren't but they had statistics like you know they'd pop on the screen like The Jets have run the ball on 23 of their last 24 plays. Oh, my God. Did you know that there was a 24 play stretch where they ran the ball 23 times? No. Yeah. It's like hard to know that stuff at the game. Yeah. I mean, they I think Gino at half was three of six for 22 yards. Jake: I knew that we had we threw up the stats. I threw up the stats and I pulled them out on my phone. Justin: So that was fun. Um, they did run for over 200 yards in the first half. Which was the first time anyone's done that since 2009. And we were that team in 2009. Yeah, that's kind of who we were back then. Um, I, I, I don't understand why this wasn't sort of. not like 13 past attempts but 20 seems about the right number right but the way that they were running the style that was that they were running in with a lot of like misdirection and jet sweeps and guys in motion and reverses and sort of options and all sorts of weird shit I don't know why where that was all year Like why'd that come out to against the dolphins? Jake: So so I guess I guess my big thing on this game and again I was there I watch the game Justin: You weren't going to just answer my question you just... Where was it? Jake: Like where was it? It's rhetorical. It's a rhetorical question. No one knows what it was. You're rhetorical. Yeah. Your face is rhetorical. Justin: I think we've seen little bits and pieces of it. I think that's a Harvin effect. Like we have this weapon that guys chase. Cause he like took handoffs too. He ran the ball. What did he run for? He ran the ball six times. He ran the ball more than he was targeted. Well, you can't target him. Jake: Can't throw the ball. Justin: Geno missed him twice. One was a touchdown and the other was the third down little swing pass. That was a very well-designed play cause it was a one-on-one and you know, Harven's winning that. Jake: What's so nice about this game is the outcome was so predictable. It was good. That- I want them to lose every game just like that. That's fine for me. Well, don't get blown out. Well, this is the point. This is sort of where we are now in the season. And I have been one of those fans who, even in that four and 12 season, that was the- we played the Bills that last game. That was the game that, remember, we talked about it. It was back in the old stadium. You and I went to it. It was at four and 12, and it was the one that we won, but it was who did, and it was the guy had three, it was that, it was that good corner, and he had three picks in the game. Oh, yeah. Yeah, remember? Tai Law. Tai Law, right.
09:01 Jake: So I don't really believe in- And then we drafted Vernon Gholston. I don't believe in playing for the draft. Big Vern! But... The ghost. Vernon got him! Where are you, ghosty? Um, I don't believe in playing- Break us down, Vernon! I don't- This podcast just went off the rails. Justin: Vernon ghosted! What a fucking joke! Jake: Last time we tagged and dragged in Vernon ghosted. So let's- Tank again, we get Vernon Goulston's younger brother. It clearly works. Arnold Goulston. Erkle? Erkle Goulston. Erkle Goulston. Justin: If Vernon Goulston's listening, he would squash your face. Jake: Here's what I'd usually say. I'd usually say, and I've changed my opinion, I'd usually say it's better to be a team on the rise at the end of the season than a team that literally has no hope. But now, my new belief, because I'm a fan and I'm erratic, is I want us to be the Colts. I want the Colts, where you just are a terrible one season, you go draft one big missing piece, and then you come back and you're good again. Justin: There's no... Why not? Because Andrew Luck is not here. Jake: But okay, but don't say that. If Andrew Luck was there, and if the- if the Andrew Luck was on the Jets, couldn't the Jets be a good team? Aren't we kind of two pieces- If Andrew Luck was our quarterback? Yeah, we win. Justin: But we win this season? Yeah, we'd be like right where the Colts are. It's not like they're like, I mean, like, I don't know, if I were to look at it, I guess. We have a bit of defense than they do. Yeah, we do, and I- Jake: I think we have a better run game than they do. Justin: Well, we definitely do. Jake: We don't have as better receivers, but we have suitable receivers. Justin: I mean, if you took them as a whole unit, I mean, you can't really account for like Reggie Wayne's experience and what he can do. I mean, T.Y. Hilton's probably the best of the bunch of all those receivers combined. If you were to say like, all right, Harvin and Decker or Wayne and T.Y. Hilton, probably about the same. Jake: Right. So the point is, so here's the point. I don't feel like this is a team that, other than, and we'll talk about the management at the top, which is sort of where I think this problem will go, is that this team isn't on paper just a terrible, terrible team. What's been put on paper, there's some missing pieces. I mean half of it we lost three corners, or four or five, or however many corners we lost in the season. I think it's three, at least. Justin: Two? Are we gonna count Patterson? Jake: He wasn't on opening day roster. No, but I want, yes, but three people who went into the seat, we went into sort of training camp thinking these are the guys who are gonna be back there. In that case, yeah, three. Justin: M and McDougall and Milliner. Jake: Look at the Giants. They have 20 people on IR right now. The Giants always have 20 people on IR. Well, anyway, that's kind of their thing.
12:00 Jake: But don't you feel, don't you have this little bit of feeling that you're trying to hope for that this isn't a team that's going to take 17 years to rebuild, that this is a team that's closer than that, and that just... Justin: It's all... I mean, this is silly. It is kind of luck. and not Andrew Luck, but yeah, they lucked into Luck. I mean, it sucks for Luck. If you were going to have one down year, right? If you go back over the course of now, I'm going to have to look at stuff. But if you go back over the course of like, don't hurt yourself, you know, NFL draft top overall. Hey, I'm just going to type that into Google and see what happens. All right, let's see what this gets me this first result. All right, so I'm gonna just pick out the quarterbacks because those are the ones that really matter. So I'll go back all the way to the year 2001 where was Michael Vick. Okay, so let's just all right you get the number one overall pick So you get to pick Europe whoever you want, right? So the luck of it is is there a quarterback? that's sitting there who I can win a Super Bowl with. Michael Vick, do you think to yourself, okay? You turned that team around. Can I do it? Jake: That team went from being shit to being great. Justin: That's a lucky year to have the number one rope it. The next year, David Carr. Jake: Not so lucky. No, no, not at all. That was an expansion team, but okay. Justin: But the next guy was Joey Harrington. Joey, so good. So it was one of those two guys. So no, right? Carson Palmer. You probably think to yourself, yeah, okay. All right. Right. Okay, serviceable. I mean, if he didn't blow out his knees, you never know what might have happened in Cincinnati. Eli Manning. Two through a range. You stick to yourself. Hell yeah, I got my choice of Eli, Phil Rivers, Ben Raltsberger, whoever I want, I pick one of those guys and I can win with any of them. Jake: And right, two of the three of them won two rules. Justin: Alex Smith. Yeah, even when they picked him, it was like a Yeah. Now, Aaron Rodgers sat in that green room for like 20 some odd picks. Right. So you and they were the top two quarterbacks. You could have said, well, I really like Rodgers and you could have gotten you know, Aaron Rodgers. Marcus Russell. Jake: Right. Who just who you're predicting Winston turns out to be. Justin: I am. OK. Matt Stafford. Really pumped about that when you're picking Matt Stafford. We picked Marc Sanchez fourth overall that year I guess we were kind of pumped about it Jake: But like we moved up to get them right right where we didn't have that Sam Bradford Justin: You thinking yourself when you draft Sam Bradford, you're like, yeah this Win the Super Bowl. No Cam Newton? Jake: Yes. Yeah, you're proud of him. They thought, they were thinking. Justin: You're probably thinking to yourself, I got my guy. Right. Jake: They were thinking, I got my guy. Andrew Luck? Yup. You know it, right? Justin: You're like, that's like a guarantee. That's it. And that's it. I mean, I can go back a little farther back to like, you know, 98 Peyton Manning.
15:01 Justin: You know you got your guy. Right. Right. But in 99 Tim couch right Jake: So it's whether we hit on a good year or bad year it's a good year or bad year I Don't think we were hitting on the right here my friend. You don't think next year is a good year Justin: I don't think Winston or Mariana Marriota are Andrew Luck And Andrew Luck hasn't won a Super Bowl. Jake: But do you have to be Andrew Luck or do you just have to be better than Geno Smith? Justin: No, you kind of have to have a quarterback, I think. I think I think it's kind of now a thing. You can't. I mean, this is about the honor. The day's 40. Trent Dauphin is not winning the Super Bowl anymore. Then that's not about Brad Johnson. Jake: But that's not about Trent Dilford or Brad Johnson. That's about this league and this league's a 50-point scoring league now. I don't know if this... Justin: In the regular season, right? In the playoffs it gets a little tighter, it gets a little colder. Jake: But look at the scores. I mean, I feel like this year, and maybe there's a staff that'll come out at the end of this year, I feel like the most points have been scored in games. Here's games where there's 50 to 0. like 50 to 40 I mean just crazy scores I mean if we look back right now we're Justin: doing our little history lesson yes so last year you had Russell Wilson he's a good quarterback year before that Joe Flacco I don't really think he's that good but he got as hot as you're gonna get suck go for Flacco no Eli Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Ben Ralthosberger, Eli, Peyton Manning, Ben Ralthosberger, Tom Brady, Tom Brady. That's going back 10 years. There's like the weakest quarterback in that bunch is either Eli or Flacco. Jake: Right, or maybe the tail of the tape isn't in on Russell Wilson. Justin: Maybe, but looks like he's pretty damn good. Jake: Yeah, he's good. Justin: So looks like you need a quarterback. Jake: Kind of looks that way. Okay, so... Justin: And I don't think the guy's in this draft. And he's definitely not a free agent. The top free agent quarterback is guess who? Mark Sanchez. Jake: How would the world explode if he came back? Justin: He's the top guy. Like all the like he's not gonna make it out of there alive. It's like there's no free agent quarterback. Quarter acts don't become free agents unless they're not good Jake: So what you're saying is Marciantis is it well there you go what the years dear well not we won't get into a success conversation But if he's so good, why would he be a free agent after this year? Well, he is a free agent after this year. No, but why would they just sign him? Well, you don't sign him now Justin: Why not you don't do that. Why not because you don't Why not? Because you're in week 13 of a season.
18:00 Justin: You don't sign a guide now. Jake: Do you think that they'll try to sign him? Justin: It depends what they do in the playoffs. And if he's the guy leading at this point, I can't see Nick Foles taking his job back. I totally could. Jake: It's one bad Sancho game, and he takes his job back. We've seen him now for five games. Yeah, and he's had good games great games, and he's had very average game Justin: I just don't see it. I don't see him losing it Jake: This is the week that if you're looking for to see it Justin: It's against the Seahawks this week cuz Foles isn't ready to come back no no no but I'm saying no no no Jake: I'm just saying he needs one one terrible week that they'll go. Yeah, we don't this is not it Justin: You know what he needs is to basically flub it into the playoffs like back into the playoffs. And because that's when Foles, I think, is like the timeline was right. Like maybe he'd be ready for like the first week of the playoffs if they were to be playing. Jake: So clearly, we'll go back to Jess versus Miami. Yeah, clearly, nobody. and Thank you. then you use them and you trust them and do something. So then to say, well, we don't trust in Gino or that we do, it's kind of lying. Yeah, they're lying. And I don't like that. Justin: It's unfair because Rex has to be the guy who's got a line. Out there lying, right? He's the mouthpiece. But what do you think? Jake: Okay, so put yourself in Rex's position. What do you think he wants to do? Justin: What do I think Rex actually wants to do? Yeah, right now. I think if Rex had his druthers, they would have done exactly what they did except his defense wouldn't have given up that touchdown in the fourth quarter. to go down to have to be in the position of trying to right like um Come from behind Jake: Well, and our guy who was like, you know the folk hero of last year He clearly hurt himself and he has how many misses this year three. He clearly hurt himself on the on the kick that just barely Justin: Graze the crossbar. Right. I know you were there. So I don't know if you saw it on any of the replays, but he got hit And they didn't call it But he he got clogged. Yeah, he heard his head like a clock, but he got run into yeah And they didn't call it and that's why that ball like kind of and he was clearly just I mean He doesn't miss two field goals in a game But I don't think he's ever done that as a jack unless one of them was like a 60 something yard, right? He'll marry
21:00 Jake: Um, so you have here the other the future of the franchise. That's a big question. I just dropped it in there Justin: We don't need to talk. I mean the future is Jake: So you're still but I think we're both on the same boat, which is that we both like Rex as a human being We love love to go to a bar and watch football with him, but we're not quite sure he's the the Justin: The head caliber coach that we wouldn't a dream scenario be like and this can't happen Just cuz it doesn't ever happen He drops down being to the dance coordinator and they bring in a head coach and they bring in another off like like, you know Tressman's gonna get fired in Chicago, right? He's he's like the opposite Rex. He's an offensive coordinator. Right. I don't know what he does with the pressers. Does he like talk? He's like kind of a weirdo. He strikes me as a weirdo. He does look a little weirdo. So to me he's an offensive coach who's in over his head. Manish met or reported that he buggers boys. Just saying. Man and I,.- Jake: Like if it's at all possible to just, it's just bring in a head coach to coach Rex as the defensive coordinator the I I mean the special teams has been terrible this year and I don't know if you Justin: at the end of the video. run back my preseason prediction of your Johnny Harr Johnny Harr Harr Jim Jim Harr Harr not John although John would be better but Jake: Jim Harbaugh said it before the season even started I feel like it's it's right there See, they're also the Raiders. I think, well, we'll see what happens to the 49ers. He's gone. But that's not true. He's so gone. He's so gone. They don't like him. And then we take Cap as well. Why? Because I don't think he's good. Mmm. He's not fantasy good. No, he's not even good good. Yeah, I would take him a thousand times over Justin: Any points that they scored in like the last two weeks? I would take him a thousand times over any like Oh, I'll take him over like Gino, but is he a hundred million dollar quarterback? No, you have a hard time Convincing me of that. No, he's a hundred million dollar quarterback. And our little bet of who's gonna have the Who's if Russell Wilson's gonna get paid like Colin Kaepernick. I think I'm gonna win that one, too Because right now see Russell Wilson walks into that office he's like you
24:03 Justin: see that motherfucker over there I'm better than him pay me more maybe they'll be like yeah I think you're right oh and you want a Super Bowl 2 oh pick your pick your fool man they played so well so hard Um. You know, I know the game plan kind of didn't call for a whole lot of like this guy having a good game, but I'm going to put Eric Decker on blast. Jake: I was just about to say that because I've seen him drop too many fucking balls at this. Justin: Dropped. He dropped when he could have caught that would have helped, you know, early. He. I mean I know the only attempted 13 passes and I think two or three of those were like in the last drive Because they had to hit eight attempts as of halftime Six six. Sorry. Um, Eric Decker was basically out on an island against a guy that Miami signed on Tuesday off the street So like one of these Jets corners that I don't know the name of right. He was up against one of those guys And in reality, Eric Decker should have had the game that Mike Wallace had. Like he should have had a seven catch game. And he had two catches for like nothing. Jake: Like this guy has played with with Tim Tebow. He should be able to play with anybody. And he was. Statistically relevant with T-bo. Justin: It was fine. I mean, it's not like he was great that year. I mean... Jake: Gimme... So yours is Eric Decker. Mine's Eric Decker. I can't decide if mine is... Justin: God, it's annoying that he's like not... ...better than... ...he is. Jake: I... You know what? I can't think of... I think it was Mark Sherrif. Sherrif? Sherrif? Sherrif? Sherrif? Sherrif? He would know. That he... That he... That he... That he... That he... That he... That he... He said at the beginning of the season, he said, Jess fans, I just remember listening to this and like one of the 500 million hours of stuff I listened to. He said, Jess fans, I know you're all excited about Decker, but he's gonna drop one too many passes. You're gonna be like, really? Like you dropped that? And I just, that's been ringing in my head all year long. I've seen these and you know, it's always like it's not like a drop. That's like a pure like not an Amaro drop Justin: No, Amaro drops like yeah, like they hurt him because the ball hits him square in the face. Yeah Like right in his neck. Yeah, where the visor? Yeah, it's not an Amaro drop, but they're ones that are like Jake: Good, like, good court, good war, I just keep guessing. Justin: Well, I just throw that he dropped in the first quarter. Yeah. I mean, that was on a slant. It was, OK, fine. It's on his back shoulder, not his front shoulder. But come on, dude. Jake: I'm gonna give this shit. Justin: On a night where you're retiring wing kerbats, or putting wing kerbats into the- Jake: Oh, by the way, that was a great part of the game. He missed. Justin: Putting wing kerbat into the ring of honor.
27:02 Justin: Ring of honor. This guy caught balls lying on the ground. and over his guys like five 10 he's catching balls all over his head one handed tap toe tip toeing the sideline like that guy's catching the ball if it's thrown anywhere near him over the middle in an era where you could get knocked the fuck out and and he did and he did and eric decker's like really that ball was on my back shoulder can't catch it no and those bombs from from uh Jake: Vic against the Bills bugged me me too because a couple of those were like My theory is on a wide receiver if it hits your hands you gotta pull it in if you're fucking Odell Beckham If it's anywhere fucking spider-man upside down on Exactly. It's you with three fingers right upside down flexing like you know Justin: I want you to freak is our buddy who's Giants fan So, him and I have been talking about Odell Beckham a lot. I'm sure you have. Cause, um, especially after that catch. I mean, they show, like, some stuff what he does during practice. Yeah. Jake: It's similar shit. He does it over and over. Justin: He just does it over and over. But he does other things in practice that make you say, like, Holy fuck, this guy is a freak. Really? Yeah. He showed me this video the other day. Odell Beckham's standing at like the 25 yard line. And you know how receivers, after they make a catch, they like, I'm making the motion here, but they spin the ball. Yeah, they spin the ball. So he's taking it and he spins the ball. And the ball's just spinning and it's like standing straight up, because it's like, you know, they can really do that very well. So it's like spinning on like the 22 yard line. Yeah. He takes a step back, runs up, and kicks a field goal. Jake: That has nothing to do with being a receiver though. Justin: But it has everything to do with how awesome of an athlete he is, like how freakish he is. It's like spin the ball, kick a 31 yard field goal like it's nothing. Like that's absurd. Jake: That's a parlor trick, that's not whatever. Justin: It's not a parlor trick, that's an athletic maneuver. Jake: Anyway, Chris Carter was talking about this on one of those shows and he's like, and And O Rebecca Mani said you You You That's how it's interesting. He's like, you see them doing all this warmup stuff where they're making all these crazy catches over and over again. And he's like, in my camp, so when I train people, I train them to make those crazy catches and to practice them because really, Odom Beckham can make those catches all the time. That's not the only catch he can do with that. He practices that shit and that's how he can do it because he's good at it. So it's not like that's the one, right. So they try to make crazy catches all the time. Like, is Decker trying to make crazy catches? I don't know. He might be trying. It just bugs me because I had us clicking. Who's your fool? Zach Sudfeld. Why? He's the best player on the field. Because you're on the field. They blocked, they ran. He's on the field. Justin: I really feel like some guys deserve a little love. Like the offensive line deserves some love. Yeah, the running backs all of them ran really hard. Jeremy Curly had a really nice game in this trickery
30:01 Justin: And maneuver and the no-name corners They played fairly well. I mean this guy Jarvis Landry seemed to be open all day long, but yeah, but he had yards everything I will say I'm kind of a fan of Ryan Tanneall. I think he's pretty decent. No, he's a good quarterback. I think he can be pretty decent. He's very athletic. Jake: He's got a decent arm. They've been using the run game with him. Justin: Well, they're running a variation of that Eagles offense. Everything's very short. There's a lot of options. There's a lot of like... Jake: out of the shotgun reads his thing has always been consistency and And in the last two years again, why it's a dolphin fan. I actually watch a lot of dolphin games Justin: He's pretty good when I watched him play all of a quarterback class by the way So who's in the class that was the Andrew luckier? Okay, so Andrew luck was number one overall and then RG 3 was 2 Jake: Who would have thought he would be like well by the way RG3 is gonna be out there on the market next year Justin: Probably they don't have to trade him not interested. No Head case New York won't work RG3 is in that class and he was the rookie of the year not Andrew Luck Russell Wilson's in that year, but even going back to like the first round like Tana Hill was the third quarterback picked in that draft So it's luck RG 3 then Tana Hill I think Blaine Gabbard was in that class not very good But still in the league Brandon Weeden was in that class not very good still in the league. Those were the first round picks Nick Foles was in that draft as a second rounder. Russell Wilson was in that draft as a third rounder. So you've you've already got like Super Bowl winning quarterback out of that draft. You've got like superstars. Andrew Luck in that draft. You've got Daniel Solid Starter in that draft. If you have quarterback draft, you know, Foles is a solid starter for the Eagles. If he was healthy, you get like four starting quarterbacks out of a draft. I mean, that's. It's not too bad. Jake: It's the eighth of the league last year. Justin: Gino EJ manual, Mike Glennon. Who else is in last year? I mean, this year you've got four or five guys starting. Jake: Yeah, but that's the thing. Like Gino was starting last year. EJ manual starting last year. Now they're both bench. Justin: So none of the guys who are rookies who are starting this year on teams that are going to make playoffs. Right. No, because they're all terrible. Bridgewater is starting car cars starting. Who else is starting? Jake: That's Vikings guy. Justin: I said Bridgewater. Jake: What would that guy meant burger? Justin: Yeah, Metemburger is starting. He's not doing anything. Jake: They started Oh, no Texans that was oh that that's not a rookie. No, it's a mallet Can't think of the other one. There's one other that's that is definitely starting somewhere
33:00 Justin: Can't think of it though. It doesn't really matter Jake: All right, so that's my fool Alright, let's get to let's get to the game. Let's get it's been a long time. You can say a name. Yeah I said sex up. Oh, that's stupid You're stupid. I know what's next on this agenda Oh, Jack King and fantasy league Justin: playoffs Jake: playoffs starting. Yeah, so after winning the league last year, I decided on the play I decided to take the year Justin: Is this league been in existence three? How many years has? Have you made the playoffs? Just two out of three. How many years have I made the playoffs? Jake: Three out of three. Justin: How many years have I won this thing? Jake: One year went away at 10. Justin: And how many years have you won this thing? One year went ahead 12 players. Okay, so I've made the playoffs all three years. I'm the number one seed. I'm coming for you. Dogs of Vichmas past. Motherfucker. Motherfuckin' Steve, I'm comin' for you. Jake: And yeah, you got the lowest seed, right? So you're playing the- Justin: I am number one. He is number four. Uh, Priors Riders versus Sizzle Daddies Jets are the two versus three, so... Uh, this should be very, very interesting. You're in the consolation ladder, so good luck with number nine. Haha! Can't imagine anyone playing a Viking anyway except the Vikings defense who you might want to play against the Jets Jake: But you can't I had actually had Derek McKinnon in there and I'd move yeah, I don't I don't even know if he's even Playing yeah, exactly. It's why I'm doing so well I had Greg's oh wait, I a move my I gotta move out Greg's house. I'm gonna put back in Zach Sudfeld Justin: Yeah, my just defense being my jet is definitely an advantage Well this having the Jets defense is certainly an advantage next year number one overall I'm picking them should be high up there anyway all right, so do you want to go along to the pick them? Yeah, how do you do last week? I looked and I smoked your fucking asshole last week wow that's violent Well, you're mr.. Bragg you pants. I know go look at the Jake: You got a 10, I got a 3. Woooo! I'm still ahead of you though. Justin: Yeah, but I caught a- I- I gained 7 games on you. One game? Yeah. Jake: One game. Justin: I pretty much just squirted on your face all over. Jake: So, I've been ahead of you the whole season. You've been ahead of me the whole season. Alright, so then the one season. Alright, well that doesn't happen. Is it me you're looking for now at 104th? Four-point leader for Geno ge-no colleges. I like that cables and vix cables and vix is number three that is S the
36:20 Justin: So let's go. It's Thursday today. So there's a game tonight. Jake: I'm gonna pick that game right now. Justin: I have already picked it. Jake: I have not picked. Justin: Alright, so these two teams played last week on Thursday. So they play again on Thursday. Jake: Oh, I was like, they didn't play each other. Justin: No, they didn't, but they played on Thursday. So they're on a one week rest cycle, which is... Just very odd. The whole thing's odd. The whole thing's odd, but I guess I like it because these two teams didn't play on Sunday So, you know, they have a full week here to Like coming off a short week, whatever. Anyway, yes Jake: Dallas but they've given them to the Sunday. They could have had a whole Justin: What now they get another long now they get their long week, right? So Dallas is going to Chicago Dallas is favored by three and a half now Mean going by the Jake theory Dallas Shouldn't win another game this year right cuz they got to be eight and eight's possible. So they should stop winning Yep, I think Chicago is one of those teams that is kind of quit They look like they quit their quarterback That's another guy that might be available that I want nothing to do with Jake Cutler the cutlet He just he just looks like the flu Um, I don't look like the flu like he just looks like the flu. What's the flu look like like shushu retarded flu He just looks like uh, what's shushu? Uh, you're not you're not a howard stern listener, but he's he's like he just looks like there's like You know when you have the flu you just look ill Yeah, you feel like your face is just He just double looked in it. So I'm gonna pick Dallas, laying three and a half on the road, because I think Chicago stinks and Dallas should be able to run all over them. So give me Dallas by three and a half. Jake: I too will take Dallas. I don't like the Bears. I don't think they're a good team. They look like they quit. to therrm... And Dallas I feel like has thing although again under my theory they'll keep losing they should all right Justin: Cincinnati is home against Pittsburgh Goldberg is a very different team on the road Cincinnati is also a very different team at home. Yeah I know you keep saying that, but I don't feel like they haven't lost two years. Um, Cincinnati favored by three. I'm a fan of Pittsburgh. I think they're good. So I'm going to take Pittsburgh. First time they're playing this year, they played twice in the last month.
39:00 Jake: Yeah, there's something about Cincinnati's just wrong this year. I'm gonna pick Pittsburgh. It's called Andy Dalton. Andy Dalton. Well, he'd be on the market. No, they signed it for millions of dollars. Yeah, they did. Andy. So there you go. You could be in that. That could be the worst. You could actually have just signed a guy who blows and then all your money's capped and you have to stay with him. You know, like maybe we just signed Gino for a 10 year. Justin: Let's talk about that for a minute. Okay. cuz Like we both kind of sit here and think Andy Dalton he blows yes But since he's been in the league, this is his fourth Right. This is his fourth season. Yes, he's started since day one Yeah, and they've never missed the playoffs with They just haven't won in the playoffs ever. So they... I don't know, do you feel... I don't feel like that's mediocrity. I feel like that's above average. Jake: Oh, making the playoffs every year is above average. Justin: Uh-huh. And that's the quarterback that gets you there. I don't know. But he's not the guy who's... Jake: But during the regular season too, he's... He also is very erratic. He's not consistent. Justin: I don't feel like he's gonna win a Super Bowl. I don't think he's a winner. Well he is a winner, cause he's a winning record. Jake: Yeah, but he's not like a winner winner. Like he's not the guy that I feel like- Like a winner winner chicken dinner? He's not the, he's not the guy you put the team on and you're like, go get him, and he'll just do it. He's like the guy who, you know. He is beating the fuck out of us. Yeah. I mean- But then he'll go and like, have a game where he can't complete a pass against the Cleveland. Justin: I totally get it. But we've seen him beat us. We've seen him beat New England. Last year. Anyway. Anyway, on to Indy. Indy, we're on to Indy. We're on to Cincinnati. Indy is going to Cleveland. The Brian Hoyer show is back on the road. Brian Hoyer is starting. I don't think Cleveland fans in, like that game is in Cleveland. I don't think they're gonna be happy about that. Jake: You know, well, you know the Brian Hoyer is a Cleveland native. So I've talked to Cleveland fans. I actually have one in the family. They like Brian Hoyer. They don't like Johnny Manziel. Justin: And they don't like Johnny Manziel? So you don't think that the Browns fans that are going to this game would have been happy to go to Johnny Manziel? Jake: Brian Hoyer is 10 and 3 since he started. 10 and 5? Is it 10 and 5 or 10 and 3? Justin: Well, they have 5 losses this year. Jake: Okay, so 10 and 5. He won all 3 last year. I don't know. I've talked to an actual Cleveland born and raised in Cleveland, Cleveland Browns fan and they said they like Brian Hoyer and want to stick with him. Now after last game, maybe they're like whatever. But I mean everybody has a stinker of a game. Justin: Yeah, he seemed to have a couple in a row. He is, like you said, he's a lot like Andy Dalton in this way. He wins. But Andy beats up on, like they're the team that beats up on teams that aren't as good as them and sort of get crushed by teams like New England and Green Bay and whatever.
42:04 Justin: So... I have Indy winning this by more than three and a half. Jake: I have. Justin: The line should never be below 10 for an Indy game. They should either be favored or underdog by like 10. Jake: Yeah, I definitely have Indy on this one. I'm not a I just think Indy can just score. They're not. They don't have a great defense. I just... They're good enough, good enough. Justin: Okay. Uh, Detroit is hosting Tampa. Detroit's favored by 10. And I don't know why they've earned that right. I know that they're like 8 and 4 or something, but I don't think they're that good. And Tampa's not very good either, but 10 is a lot. So I'm gonna take Tampa. Tampa is... Jake: Terrible, terrible, terrible. Detroit at home, this could just be four passes to Megatron, four touchdowns, game over, I'll take Detroit. Which I don't usually go with the big spread, so. Tennessee, talk about teams have given up. Tampa Bay has given up. Justin: Tennessee is hosting the Giants. New York and this game is a pick to pick them So I'm gonna pick Tennessee Really? Jake: Okay, why oh the Giants are terrible, but they're a little bit better than Tennessee Justin: So quarterback wait what what why? Because there's the other rookie quarterback that's starting this year, Blake Bortles, who just beat the Giants. Jake: Oh yeah, I just don't see the Giants having two terrible games like that. Why? They've lost seven in a row. Because they have... What? Seven in a row? Yeah, go on. They have some talent around there. Is that what you're... What? Jennings might not play. Oh, man. They're not good. No, they're not good. They're just as bad as we are. Can we trade for you, I mean? What do you want him for? Because he's a winning quarterback. Whatever. I got Tennessee. Justin: Alright, I'll take Giants. Alright, skip. Skip, skip, skip. New Orleans. This is a battle. New Orleans is taking on Carolina. Jake: Oh, Carolina. Justin: In New Orleans. favored by 10 and I don't know what the fuck to do here cuz New Orleans really doesn't deserve to be favored by 10 against anybody really thing and but Carolina's really bad Jake: I'm gonna pick New Orleans. I think divisional matchup. I don't like them to be so spread apart I think Carolina I mean the I would take care of both not good, right?
45:00 Justin: This is like I mean Carolina could still win that division. They that whole division is still in it and And all in size five wins Atlanta has five wins Yeah, if we were in that division we'd still be in it. All right The excellent St. Louis Rams are going to Washington and are favorite on the road by two and a half. Colt McCoy, Washington? I got St. Louis. They're actually decent. They're like a good team and they're coming together. And they got no quarterback and it doesn't even matter they can run and they have a real nasty defense Jake: Yeah, no, I have the Rams five and seven Rams they're good really they are I mean that's a tough division five and seven Justin: They're in a division with Arizona Seattle and San Francisco. That's a hard Jake: Division they lost a filly, okay, they lost a nine in three. They lost their winning team. Okay, they're winning, Diego Okay, they're winning team. They did beat Oakland 52-0. Okay solid wait wait look Justin: You know I know look at their whole schedule They beat San Francisco they beat Seattle every team you've named so far with the exception of Oakland has a winning record. Yep That's a hard schedule. But they're five and seven. That's pretty good. If we played that schedule, we'd have no wins. Just Oakland. First draft pick. All right. Houston travels to Jacksonville, who just won. And I can't see them winning twice in a row. And I think Houston, their defense. events. rattles the shit out of Jacksonville with with those guys up front so Houston favored by five doesn't scare me Fitzpatrick's gonna throw six more touchdowns this is ridiculous give me Houston that's how you went in vandal by the way right you pick that one guy right you're like oh Ryan Fitzpatrick starting I bucket I got I've got all these stud guys everywhere else, so I'm gonna flub the quarterback and you get him. Jake: And he goes off. Yeah. He has six touchdowns. He has six touchdowns. I too will take Houston, Jacksonville, I was packed it up. Justin: That's totally how you win, FanDuel. Jake: All right. Which by the way we didn't discuss on this podcast, but that's okay. Good for bringing our two podcasts together. All right, brought them all full circle. Justin: All right, Arizona. We're at four o'clock now. Arizona is four four o'clock. Right? Oh, I love it. Oh, and I'm not gonna be here for four o'clock. It's terrible. Jake: Later. Yeah, I'll suck it. I'll be in San Juan. Whatever. Enjoy the rainforest. I will. I will be watching football. I don't think that's a rainforest day, but okay. Justin: Arizona is going to host Kansas City. Arizona favored by one.
48:03 Justin: I got Kansas City. That's a hard game to pick. I don't know what to do. Jake: I'm going to take Arizona home. Sorry. Justin: You know what? I'm switching. They're really good at home and it's only one point, so it's basically like a pick. So I'm going to take Arizona. Jake: Alrighty then. Justin: Oh, you know what just happened when I went to save that? It logged me out. Now I have to always does that. All right. Back. I'm back. All right. San Francisco is going to Oakland. Cross in the bay. And there'll probably be some extra security there, because I think the last time they played in preseason was the last time they were able to play in preseason. Because they stopped that, because I think people got like. Was it shot or stabbed? Something in the parking lot. So San Francisco goes to Oakland, San Francisco favored by eight. That's too many. I know how Oakland is awful and they just lost 52 to nothing. Are you serious? Jake: How can you say those two words? They lost 52 to nothing. I know but... Justin: the game before that they had won against Kansas City in Kansas City so like I just don't know if San Francisco is really any good like they don't score points and they don't blow anyone out they blow out Cowboys week one but that's week one that's a long time ago and they really only won by 11 Then they lost, then they won by 35, 31-17, then they won by 5. Okay, so they beat St. Louis by 14, they got blown out by Denver, they lost to St. Louis then on the comeback. They won by 3, they won by 6 against the Giants, they won by 4 against Washington, and then they lost. to Seattle. They don't score. In the last three weeks, they... Yeah, well the last three weeks are not a good example. They haven't scored, so I'm gonna just pick Oakland. Alright, well I am not picking Oakland. Jake: No thank you. Give me a sandwich to start with. Alright, um, game of the afternoon. This is a weird one. It's a good game. Justin: Philly is hosting Seattle. And the Philadelphia Sancho's are favored by one. That's crazy. And I'm picking them. The Super Bowl champions. I'm picking Philadelphia to win the game against Seattle. By more than one point. Jake: Yeah, don't see that happening. I'm gonna go with Seattle. Okay, sales defense is back Justin: There fair enough, but Phillies offense is Phillies offense Jake: So but let's go and look at who Philly has played that's got a great offense that has a great offense defense Sorry, not Dallas not Tennessee not Green Bay not Carolina not Houston not Arizona not Giants not st. Louis st. Louis
51:04 Jake: Hold on a minute. You just Justin: Breezed right through that. Jake: Sorry, these eels, wrong one. Yeah, that's what I was going through. Okay, that's right. Justin: Hold on. Jake: Yep. Hold on a second. Let's just do it. Listen, Jacksonville, great defense. No, but they put up 34. Colts, great defense. Justin: No, but they put up 30. Jake: Washington, great defense. No, but they put up 37. They're putting up huge numbers. San Francisco. go! Good defense lost. St. Louis. Still put up 21. Justin: St. Louis. St. Louis. Good defense. Put up 34. Giants. Shut out. 27-0. Shut them out. Terrible defense. Shut them out. 27-0. Jake: Arizona. Good defense. Lost. Houston. Not good defense. 1. Justin: Still put up 31. Jake: Carolina. Terrible defense. Green Bay, maybe good defense, can't tell with them, they're weird, they lost. Tennessee, terrible defense. 43 points. Dallas, terrible defense. Justin: 33 points. Dallas, not terrible defense. They're not terrible defense. They're not a Dallas's record. They're not a terrible defense. Jake: Alright, so now they got... Justin: But they're burning up more than 30 points a game. That's a great offense. Okay. By the way, Dallas's defense isn't that bad. They're like probably middle of the pack. Anyway, I'm taking Philly. Um, let's go to Sunday night. You're sucking off of suck chest. I really am. And he's my starting quarterback in the Jet Kingdom Fantasy Football League where I finished first place. Nice. And he's gonna take me to the Super Bowl. Jake: Oh, there you go. Oh, I can't wait till he pulls the beam. I can't wait. Negative 10. Can't wait till I get a little Sancho love. Uh, New England is going to San Diego on Sunday night. Wow, you're talking about New England. Ah, fuck. Ah, you suck. That's the first time I did all your... Justin: You suck. Oh, oh, oh, that's my head banging against the microphone. Jake: How about Green Bay at Atlanta or... Justin: Alright, let's do Monday night then. Green Bay is hosting Atlanta and they couldn't have put enough points out there for me to not pick Green Bay. They put 12 and a half and I would have went up to 17 I think. Yep they could put 17 in the first quarter. Yeah they had some stat up there when they played New England last week about how they've just dominated the first half of home games the last like month and a half or so Jake: They're just they're just dominant. Oh, man is a terrible team. They're on the road. It's New England. It's gonna be freezing. It's New Orleans Weekend to take over that first place slot and poor ESPN man ESPN so don't this going like they're gonna sit around Justin: Well, they're green Bay. They get Rogers, right? He's a big draw You know, terrible. And Green Bay is a draw regardless of people are going to watch this game. People like to watch Aaron Rodgers play. He's a lot of fun. Green Bay is a fun team to watch play. They're really great on offense. Jake: All right. Let's get to our throne picks. How do we do last week? We didn't make the week before that. Justin: We tried to with that, too. All right. So time to go for it.
54:01 Justin: All right. So we have Baltimore at Miami. Miami's favored by three points. These are two really evenly matched teams if you ask me particularly Because they're playing in Miami. I think if they were playing in Baltimore wouldn't necessarily have the same sentiment, but to me these are these are very similar teams I Feel as though Baltimore is gonna look at what happened to Miami over the last two weeks And I don't know what happened with Miami before them, but having given up about 500 rushing yards over the last two weeks I would say right Denver went for over 200. We went for basically 300, right? Baltimore could run the ball they can run the rock. They have a really good running game and then off of that they get into play action bombs with Tori Smith. The Smiths. So I just think that Baltimore is kind of built very well to beat this Miami team. I like this to be very Um... Slow pace, grind it out, slow game, Baltimore wins, 17 to 14. Jake: Yeah, I too see Baltimore winning. Miami, I think, just, I mean, they almost lost to a two and 10 team. Justin: Division rival, different at it. Jake: No, I'm just saying, I don't. And to, you know, with terrible corners and all that. On the road, in the rain, like there's a lot of factors. I just don't think they're... I don't think they're a good playoff team. Like, they're right now in the seed, the sixth seed, I think. Right? But Miami is. Yeah, but I don't think that they're gonna stay there. Justin: I mean, this is a huge game. They're both seven and five. Jake: Yeah. Huge game. Right. I don't think they're gonna make it. I think the real Miami's gonna show up. I just don't think they're that good. Baltimore, I think, is good. I think they can smell the playoffs and they're gonna play like they can smell the playoffs. And again, when it comes down to it, they played the same game plan that the Jets played. They have a quarterback who can then at least throw three passes more and maybe they'll catch it and go for a touchdown. So I see Baltimore winning 27-20. Look at your scores that you wrote down here Really on that last yep, really? Yeah Really really let's go go the next one all right next one buffalo Justin: Is going to Denver Denver is favored by 10 points here Denver's good They've been sewing some chinks in their arm recently that Peyton Manning he's still pretty good and that CJ Anderson Doesn't really matter who's back there. They can kind of run doesn't matter you kind of have to play really really
57:00 Justin: soft because Manning will just you pick your poison right and Manning is um, smart enough and, uh, he also like, doesn't have the ego to be like, no, I've got to throw for 300 yards and six touchdowns every game. He'll be like, you want to give me 200 yards on the ground? I'll take it. Right. And then when you step up to try and stop that, I'll throw it over your head or whatever. Um, They've also been missing Julius Thomas who's a big weapon for them Who I think is gonna come back this week and play so that's a big thing for them, especially in in the red zone so Buffalo to me. I think they're surprising their their better than I ever would have thought that they were. I think they can really play defense. They can stop the run. They can get pressure on the quarterback, but man, he is such a different animal. It's so hard to play against him. I'm going to give Buffalo more points than I think you probably are. Yeah. So I've Denver winning 35 to 20. So being blown out by 15 points. Still being blown out, but like score it like I see this being close and then in the second half Denver Just being like alright. Goodbye. Fuck you. I'm like it might be 21 20 at half and then Denver's just like a later. Yeah Jake: With a 10-point spread I'm definitely think Denver will cover that Denver's gonna score 30 something points. I'll give it 31. Don't really think Buffalo on the road going to Denver is gonna do very well. I think that's not where they're gonna do well. The game in at home, fine. In Denver or in Detroit, fine. I don't think they're gonna travel well. Those are better home team. Yeah, I think I don't think they'll actually stay in this game. I think it'll be Justin: Denver winning 31 13. Okay, and now we'll talk about our Sunday night game. Oh Yeah New England's going to San Diego New England's favored by three and a hook New England is coming off of a game that they could have won in Green Bay Maybe a preview of the Super Bowl Jake: Yeah, I think anytime someone says that I've never comes true. It's potential Justin: I mean, these are the two teams that right now I think are the best two teams in the league. Yeah, they're respective conferences and You know, I think New England is the best team. I mean, they are just really great. Um... Little bit of a bad break there in Green Bay and whatever. Um, they come back with a vengeance. They go into San Diego... Think there's like the blueprints there for beating San Diego
1:00:01 Justin: You know you could throw on whatever Miami did to them there are a couple other games where they like throw up some real stink bombs San Diego And Bell checks pretty smart, dude. He just kind of seems to figure that shit out and if Baltimore can put up somewhere in the 30s on San Diego New England's gonna put up something in the 30s on San Diego So, give me New England, 34, San Diego, seven. That's terrible. Wow. Jake: Yeah, I don't see this going down like that. There's something about this game, I don't know. There's something about the West Coast, or something about. Brady's a California boy. Yeah, that doesn't matter to me. I just. I think Sandi's gonna win. I think it'll be close to the record. I could see this coming down to fourth quarter. Third quarter. Third quarter. Third quarter. Third quarter. Justin: You're just totally room. You're just not Realizing how good no, I've watched every one of the games. You haven't watched every single one of them I've watched a lot of their games Did you watch them against Green Bay? You did? Yes. How? Jake: Because on TV. You watched it the whole game from start to finish. Yeah. Okay. I had it on the big screen. Whatever you say. Remember, I live in a... Yeah, yeah, whatever. Justin: Whatever you say. Jake: All right. Game of the day. It was also the national game on this 4 o'clock when there was two games on. So it wasn't hard. Game of the day. JETS! The entire country watched that game. Justin: JEDS, going to Minnesota. Game of the day. Oh, going to Minnesota. This is a game that doesn't even go on a television in like a bar that has direct saves. No, when I'm in Puerto Rico, they just throw up like three of one other game. Right. To avoid putting this game on the television set. That is correct. So I want you to act, I always go first. Jake: I want you to go first here. So I am... By the way, the Jets are a six point underdog. Right. And they deserve to be more. Because here's what we know. What do we know? Gino's gonna start. Yeah. They don't want him to throw the ball because because percentage wise every 13 balls he throws, he throws a pick or something percentage wise, Can you just run the ball for 400 yards and have your quarterback? Well, that's the thing. If you watch, if the Minnesota sat there and watched that game, they're gonna say, well, if they start doing that, we're just gonna go to the box and we will make them do it, which they know they won't even do it. Could do it that way. Or if you go the other direction, you could say, okay, you know, maybe they'll come out with a new plan and start having Gino throw it. Well, we don't think that Gino has the talent
1:03:01 Jake: to throw it around. I'm also thinking this team is, I don't by eight points I think they're gonna lose 18 to 10. Justin: Well that's a first. Jake: Maybe a second but it's close. I don't think you've ever picked the Jets to lose on this podcast. And honestly? Justin: And how do you see Minnesota getting to 18? Why not? Six field goals. Jake: Like how's 18 happening? That's a tough score Justin: No, there's a safety in there somewhere safety. Yeah, so from 16 to 18 How do you get to see that's a tough one? I can do it. How do you get to eight? It's that is go for two balls Go for two when? Jake: On any one of the touchdowns. Justin: Any one of what touchdowns? Jake: So you do a touchdown, if you go, that's 10. You go for a touchdown, you get to go for two, it's 18. It's not really hard math. Justin: So they're going to do that? Why not? Okay. Jake: Well, it could be they do it they could do it at the end again, maybe they want to do it maybe they want to practice Yep, maybe they want to they want to make the theme go for it weird, but maybe the cure gets hurt Okay, if it happens you have to call me Nostra jacuzz okay, I will do that notice Justin: I've been putting my score in there. Yeah, whatever who cares Jake: Here's what you you're you're you'll just flip flop back and forth your negative Nelly you're thinking gonna win You're whatever. Go ahead. Justin: They're going to win this game. Much to my chagrin. You want to know why? Why? Two reasons, two compounding reasons. Because we don't want to know. Two compounding reasons why the Jets are going to win this game. Rex Ryan doesn't lose to rookie quarterbacks. He has Ryan doesn't lose to North Turner led offenses. lackluster. Jake: Rex Ryan doesn't have 11 seasons. Justin: Rex Ryan doesn't win this game. It's going to be the ugliest and the ugliest season of all. I'm gonna win 10-6. Jake: 10-6. So, your keys to the castle, which we skipped? Oh, we did skip all that. I don't even care. Good job. You're so- I wrote down the jets we're gonna lose that you skipped the whole frickin- Justin: I really was. It just totally caught me off guard. No, cause you know why? Jake: I'm at the point where I don't really think that them winning gives me any more value.
1:06:04 Justin: So that's why your predictions have changed? Jake: Oh yeah, now you feel stupid. Whatever. Justin: Alright, so I don't have a key to this castle. I don't even care. Play good. Jake: Play terrible. Justin: Play good. Jake: Do you want them to win? No. No, you don't. Right. That's how I'm flipping because I've always wanted them to win. So I always picked them to win. I don't want them to win at all. So now I don't want them to win so I'm picking them to lose. Do you see how that works? It's very simple math. It's like getting to 18. Go for two. Is your head hurting? It is a little bit. All right. All right. Let's wrap this freaking show up. You have uh, it's currently uh, your first mistake of the year. You're like Gino, you're just watching for such as to do well. Um, Welcome back next week, I'm gonna be eating a way I'm kinda sad I'm gonna be eating a way I'm kinda sad the Patriots when I come back next week Justin: Patriots is a home so it's the week after I think there's a game stuck in between Oh it's a game A way so we go away See you next week. Jake: Then New England. Then New England. Then away Miami, which I'm going to. Yeah. Okay. All right. Well, we'll be back next week. We'll go over everything. It's even hard to say Go Jets. But it's Jake. It's Justin. It's relenting the podcast. And as always, no matter what we're fans or at least one fan in this room. I
