00:16 Jake: Welcome to the JK Kingdom Podcast, the longest running, if not every single week, New York Jets Podcast, ever. Ugh, man. I'm Jake and joining me for the 327th time in a row. Boy, that's a lot of times is remote from somewhere north of the border, not even in this state in Patriots country. I am so in patients country. Justin. Gross. Justin: I have the cooties right now. I smell. I smell myself and it's awful. Jake: Well, that's fine. You're up in your in your new COVID house. Justin: And my COVID crazy house and I did go to physical therapy yesterday and I was treated by a physical therapist wearing a New England Patriots face mask to cover his face. And I did let him know that I didn't appreciate it. Jake: I will send you, I have four Jets face masks, so I could send you one, so next time. Justin: I'll wear it, I'll wear it. Jake: Especially on whatever week we play them, Justin: whatever that week is. If it happens, if it happens, we'll do it. Jake: So as is our tradition, over the many, many years we have done this, I think going back, we started with 2007, so this would be. 2007 season was our f... first right there so this would be our figure trying to think i think the brett farbier was our first podcasting year sounds good to me whatever i'm pretty sure it was so this being our 14th year we always do a predictions episode we always pick so just so that you know what's happening this season um We're gonna talk about the season we're gonna talk about everything but We are we are taking one small change. We're still doing the jet Kingdom pick them So if you want to do check them pick them That's where you pick along with us with the spread review who's the best of the week We talk about it. We pick every game of the week. We're gonna do that. We're gonna do the throne picks We're gonna do that. We're gonna do the this picks episode. We are not this year doing the fantasy league I know Gareth has pissed and he sent out an email and there are he's gonna run. He's gonna get it going He's gonna try and get it going. So honestly, I cancelled I cancelled. I know you did a draft last night for the other league We're generally in Which is an auction league an in-person auction league, which obviously went to a different thing But I interest snake league and it was nowhere near as fun The draft is always the best part of that league and not being able to do it in person and not having it be an auction Made it far less fun. So I canceled the league that I run with you that we've been doing for about five or six years just for the year and I canceled the Jack Kingdom one.
03:04 Jake: Lots of stuff going on. Life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, COVID. And by the way, they're doing construction above me, so you'll enjoy hearing that. But the majority reason, maybe 50% of the reason was. Honestly, just being a commissioner in a league where it's going to be such a nightmare. It's going to be a nightmare. It's just, it's going to be hard. It's not going to be easy. There's going to be so many ins and outs. The teams are going to get so many injuries, so much COVID, so much quarantining that I just, I just didn't, and we don't even know if the season's going to happen. We don't know if it's going to go all the way through. I mean, I, yes, people are very. you know, optimistic and there's some chance, but there's also a chance that like two teams get totally wiped out and they have to like not play for two weeks. Like, so there's so many unknowns. I just figured the pick up weeks, it's easy because that's somebody else's job. Like if they play, they play, it's a numbers game, right? Fantasy is just so. Different with rosters and picking up and and you'd have to open up and more rosters and more waivers and more Justin: I just especially these short the short ir like the short like kovat ir stints, you know, we're nice like no a week Maybe a week maybe two you don't know it's hard to plan around I totally get it I'm gonna go over to couple I'm gonna play in a couple of weeks. See how it goes And what other leagues? Jake: Yeah, two leagues going on. I was in two. No, you're not. You're three. One. All three with me. What are you? What are you? Four. No, I've always been in different leagues. Justin: Oh, you kept that other one too. No, no, no, no, no, this is a different league. I'm sorry. I picked up a new league. Okay, so you're cheating on me. I picked up a new league. I picked up a new league because I wanted something more than what was going to happen last night. That's always a bullshit league. So I needed something good. That's your father's league. You called it a father's league. Jake: It's terrible. And it's your stepfather's league that you were in that you dropped out of. So did you pick up? What league did you pick up? No friend friend invited me into their league. So I said, Oh, I'll go with that. I mean, I did. I did join a another pick them. That's a week by week pick all by the way, if you want in all it's a it's email pick all with spread every week. So basically the checking them pick them but money. Pick them but I'm terrible at that. So I'm out. Yeah, that's true. You suck at that. I mean, you always beat me. So Justin: year after year, I may as well just I may as well just Jake: back you. That's true. That's true. You can win you could be as I'll just pick your partner. Two sets. So again, we apologize for everything that's going to we're not going to happen. We're going to try to keep everything as normal as possible. I'm super impressed by the by the I've been watching Hard Knocks. We can do a little Hard Knocks.
06:00 Jake: You fall asleep. I've been watching it. I watched episode four last night, because you said take a look. Justin: It's an impressive and powerful one. So I like to tell you. I watched, but I will tell you, I did fall asleep in the middle. And I don't think I got to where you necessarily were. I saw where it was going. during the time period when it was shot, like what was going on. So you can see where it was Jake: headed, but I didn't get there. I'll there's the social injustice stuff. It was pretty, it was pretty powerful. I yeah, I mean, it was just it was, I thought they handled it well. I'm not sure the teams have handled it well, but I thought they hard knocks. HBO, NFL films handled Well. And it's also my way of getting into football. I will say, you and I have been talking about this. My head has been away from football. Like, I read like maybe one article a day about the Jets. I know Sam Donald's still on the team. Like, but I watched the draft, but- Justin: Yeah, Sam hasn't gotten sick yet. That's inevitable. I mean, come on. Jake: Anyway, so I've been trying like I'm doing a crash course this week. Okay, crash course. And we were talking about the other day, I wish someone to write the article of so you've been paying attention to everything else in the world and have been football. Here's all the things that happened. Right. All the trades, all the people moving different teams, all that I would just like some sort of summary so I could go through it and oh this player's on this team now oh remembering top he's not on the Patriots oh right Tampa Bay right so it's it's very odd so everything I do this season will just be written off it'll probably this season well no I've already predicted the Super Bowl correctly once so I have that in my Justin: pants so you know that on your belt I'm gonna go ahead and say well no Super Bowl there's my Jake: prediction All right, so moving on. Moving on, let's get started. Let's predict how many games will actually be this year. Anyway, it doesn't matter. Let's go. All right, so I say we start off with the. Want to talk about the roster? Yeah, so final cut kind of fell out here. Final cuts have been made. We have a roster. I went over today. They showed the. a final roster. Actually Yahoo Sports has a great vision of it. If you don't have that version of you in front of you, it's really good because then maybe I'll send it to you so you can open it up. Justin: No, I've got a good version in front of me. I have like, I have a depth chart. Okay. So I have it broken down offense defense, like, you know, special teams. We could go through it that way. Jake: So when reviewing it, I went over it today, I was reading through the names, I was like, okay, all right, okay, all right, all right. And my thought at the end was, there's no position group here that scares me. Like I wouldn't look at this roster if I were the dolphins or the bills or the Patriots
09:01 Jake: and go, that set of players, right? Sometimes we have like a group that you think that's a good group. Like that's the group that's gonna crush you I looked at I was like, okay, there's like singular players in and out But there's nothing on this as a true Jets fan I guess season ticket holder since 2004 I'm never going to go into game this season. That's just sad. But like, I don't see anything in here that scares me. I wouldn't look, if I were any other team playing us this year, I would not look at anything right now and go, that position group scares me. And or there's some position groups that I, as a Jets fan, I'm definitely scared of. Like, I'm scared of like, holy crap. That's our starting lineup. Justin: So really? Okay, I actually well, I'm usually more optimistic at the start of the year than you are. Jake: Yes, we usually predict that we win more 16 and oh or something like that. I feel like nine games. Yeah, no. Anyway, yeah, well, I finished pretty strong. Justin: You know, in fairness, though, and you make that statement. I will state this. I think we have a strong tight end core. I think our group of tight ends is very strong. I think we have like three of them there that are versatile like in terms of what they can do as a group. We have like a couple good pass catchers there and Wesko can do a lot of things. I think our tight end group is pretty good with her doing coming back you forget he's really stinking good he missed all last year Jake: Not for getting hurt and at all like he's he's great, but I think he's very good Justin: Alright, but Griffin's good too. You know he played a nice season last year before he got hurt then You know, the running back room doesn't look too bad. Jake: Let's start. Let's start again. Let's start. Let's start. Let's start the top. Let's go quarterbacks running backs wide receiver. Justin: All right. Well, the quarterback room looks fine to me. I got my third year guy and Sam Darnold ready to rock behind a brand new line. I'm ready to see him play. The backup is what we want an experienced backup. That's one a Super Bowl, you know, come in and not looking. He knows he's not beating Sam out for any job. He's the backup Joe Flacco. We know he stinks, but fine. I guess he can win your games, right? If you needed one game. Plus, he's done it before. He's done it before you could do it again. Running back room looks pretty decent. Wait, wait, wait. Jake: Let's stop. Let's have a quarterback. What I'm concerned is last year, we went to four last year. Justin: Okay. But that's injuries. What are you supposed to do? Have a good fourth string quarterback. Yes, name me a team with a good fourth string cornerback name me a fourth string quarterback Fails got cut he got cut yesterday You can't even name a third stringer that's not a rookie like it's not a thing you have a starter in a backup And that's that you can't get on him for not having a third string guy. Come on. Well, I put it in
12:01 Justin: Yeah, but you can't even name one name a third stringer in the week You're watching Hard Knocks. Name the third string around either of those two teams. Exactly. Jake: Dude McPherson? Justin: If your starter goes down, If your backup goes down, basically you're fucked. So like, that's that. You just have to take it in the ass and be done with it. Jake: Sorry. Done. Over. By the way, my daughter now has access to this podcast. So good. Well, she'll hear me say that. Uncle Justin just said take it in the ass. Please go. Justin: Hey, Shane, go. Go. Go. Just don't you know what mute me. Don't listen to me. Jake: All right. I could put out a podcast version of this. Just me. Me talking and there's no you. All right. Justin: And then when you you know, all right, moving on to the running back room. Wait, wait, moving on to the running back room. But I get my opinion. No, no, you already said we're doing position by position. Jake: It's a session. No, I'm excited about Sam. I'm excited about seeing Sam play. I agree. I think Flacco, we talked about the when. We talked about the right kind of backup, right? We want the position, older experience. I'm just not sure from what even I saw last year when Blacko was with the Broncos, that he was the helpful guy. So a little concerned, like I don't see him as a teacher. I see him as a very me first player, just my position. I've seen him play a billion times, whatever. But I just don't feel like he's the guy who can help Sam. I'm hoping that who is he is because that's what we need. We need the guy who is who can both step in at any moment and play who does or any moment, any game, fourth quarter, like three games. Right. We always say if Sam goes out for four games, we need the backup to win, too. Justin: Right. I think you got that here. I think you do. Also, I think. that there's one thing that we need to consider and we're not there so we don't know where we just play experts on on the podcast is joe douglas knows joe flacco. Joe knows what is in baltimore at the time when black was maybe even drafted but definitely there through that super bowl running and he knows joe flacco so he knows what that guy's all about rgm brought in a backup that he knew. and knows what the guy's all about. So I got to trust in that. Jake: All right, all right. I mean, that I think, I'm happy. I'm happy with the, I would say the one I'm most happy with is this, maybe secondary is the next one, which is running backs. What's your feeling on a running back? Justin: Yeah, I love our running back room. You know I love Le Van Bell. He had an off year last year. He had no line to run in front of. No real passing game backup. Third string quarterback for like three or four games, which has got to be brutal on the running back. You bring in Frank or is like, hey, he can still play. I mean, he's old as shit, but he can get a yard if he needs it.
15:01 Jake: Seasons, my God. Justin: Yeah, but he falls forward. He doesn't he doesn't fumble like. you want a guy in the goal line like that reliable like dude who's got a lot of experience in the scene every blitz and You know And then has played in the system even like he gets it And then a rookie has as you know back there in in the michael p. Ryan and I think that that works You know, i'm always up for a rookie being in the backfield learning behind these two guys and by all accounts lay beyond belt just went ape shit in the offseason and worked out like a crazy person to come back and be like, yo, I'm in Jake: shape. Like, if you have not seen him, you didn't see star Aaron Donald, you should see he looks like a beast. He apparently just hit the gym 24 seven. So that's why you should watch all the episodes of hard knock because he is like, huge and crushing. But you think I mean, Justin: cuz like, man, build a real weapon. Like if Frank Gore is really there in the backfield, You can... Do stuff with Lady on Bell? I mean we said that last year and they didn't do it Jake: But that's right that that's that's sort of my issue Is that like he didn't do it last year and I blame more gaze and his you know being a fucking savant and a genius And and let's just be clear. I'm gonna say it. I'm gonna I gotta stick to my guns. I don't like gaze I don't want him. I want him gone at the end of season mid season. I don't really care I just still don't believe in him. He's the only coach I ever hated before he started and I still hate him And I just don't believe in him. So I want Joe Douglas to fire him mid season. That's it. Like I just I want him gone. I don't like him. I don't think he's done anything. He's never proven to me that he's worth a freaking two cents. Justin: We agree on it. We totally agree on that. But what what do you think of the room? Jake: The running back is OK. It's just. It's light. It's a lot of experience. I mean, that's a lot of experience in that room. I mean, even if you average them out 7, 16 and 0, you still got, you know, eight. Yeah, you're good. Yeah, you're good. And Bell is as talented as they come. It's just whether he can run behind a line that doesn't exist and whether Frank Gore can stay healthy enough to back him up enough so he can get a breather once in a while. And I don't know, but, you know, obviously some rookie who the fuck cares, but. Whatever. Well, he could be good. We've been. I think what I what I what we need from last year is for this room. To to back up the next room, which is the wide receivers, because I look at the wide receivers and I'm just like, what this is. I mean, I have I've watched the Jets for a billion years now. And I look at this, I'm like, what? I don't know if this is. Justin: I don't know if this is the complete picture, but. I'm okay with the... Hold on. Hear me out. Hear me out. Jameson Crowder is a very good slot receiver. We saw that last year. He's very good. He's a very good player at that position. Sure. Pereman, in my opinion, is an upgrade over Robbie Anderson.
18:02 Justin: He's just a better version. He's a more pedigreed version. He was a first overall pick, first round pick. And in his last, like if you look at what he did in the last half of last season, he showed something. He really played well. And he was like a top guy towards the end of the season last year. And then when it comes to Chris Hogan and Denzel Mims, it's really about like, how fast can Mims be developed? And can we develop a wide receiver? Because I have not seen us do that in a really long time. What was the last receiver that we actually drafted that became halfway decent? Jericho Kottree. You can't even say Quincy and Nunez because I don't even think he played like more than one good season. Jake: Yeah, I know it's been a long long time. I mean, there's that year. What was the year that we drafted the double receivers and neither one were on the team the next year? Drafted like that was like four years ago. That was... We drafted the guy in the third and fourth round. Yeah, both they're both out of the league like I don't understand we're not Justin: good at this guy but all accounts can play. Whoever is scouts for the the white receiver Jake: scout for the Steelers we need to hire them for whatever money they want. Whatever money they want. You want oh you want four trillion dollars here's your four trillion dollars. Uh yeah I mean Hogan's a guy I watched and you know anybody plays on the Patriots. kind of looks better than they really are. We've seen that a million times over. In fact, we've taken little players that we thought were just scrubs and throwing them into the Patriots and they become, you know, Super Bowl champions. But this is the one that I look at. And other than Crowder, I just I just don't I don't I don't have any faith. Do you know, Parriman? Like, Justin: have you seen him play? Do you know of him? I have not. He's an interesting guy. He's He's a lot like Robbie but he's bigger in stature so he's got that deep threat in him. But he's also a bigger dude so he doesn't he can run inside routes he has to he's not as much of a like you know the wind will blow him over so to speak go up and catch it. Um, you know, I, I, I'm somewhat optimistic. I'm also like. I'm playing the optimism card on Sam like on that. He is going to be better and make these guys look better. Like that's a thing. That's the truth. If you're what he's the third, he's a third year guy. Yeah, it's time to make that leap and make the guys around you look better as opposed to the other way around. That's right. That's where Sanchez failed. Right. When we saw the Sanchez rookie, it was like, OK, OK. And then you got to your three and it was like. Way he didn't take the step he was supposed to take he was supposed to carry this team now agreed agreed Jake: All right. So for tight ends, I guess we'll make this long. Oh, by the way, I know ends work We'll do it. We'll do a little we'll do a little podcast seeing back behind the scenes. Do you have a hard stop or no?
21:01 Justin: I should probably we got about 45 minutes here Jake: Okay, left. Yeah, you can go to 515. Yeah, thereabouts. Alright, so we better get going. Alright, so tight ends. We talked about let's go offensive line. It's the rebuild. We have Yeah, we have a first round pick in there left tackle, which is awesome. What else could you ask for, right? He's at a camper saying he's very good. I'm excited about that. Justin: Beast and he's scheduled to start at left tackle. I love it draft a guy in the first round bang throw him in there left tackle Let's do it Alex Lewis comes back. He's the Starter that actually returns plays left guard Center we got Connor McGovern Jake: We got double honors by the way, we got a Connor, a McDermot and a Connor McGovern. Justin: And just to make it harder, we got Greg Van Ruten and we have George Fant at right tackle, who is, I think Fant has a bit of a he could play right tackle or left tackle. Chuma Doga can also play left or right. So there's a little bit of flexibility there if guys get injured. Jake: This is the thing that again, I'm not a coach, I'm not a head, I'm not a GM, but this is always the part that you hear needs the most time to become a unit, right? That the best lines work together for a long period of time and they become a good line because they get to know each other and really... They solidify or they get, you know, one mindset. Justin: This is where the word, you hear the word cohesive or cohesion a lot when good offensive lines are described. Jake: That usually comes to working together. This is where I'm, I think as a, as a Jets fan, looking at a season that we did not have any preseason games, by the way, I'm sure everybody understands that. Pretty rough. This is where I'm really concerned about a kind of a brand new line with almost nobody who's ever played together. I mean, how many of these people have actually played on the same team together? None. I don't think any of them have. Justin: So that's one's a rookie, you know, so he's never played in the NFL before. You know, Alex Lewis was on the team last year, but none of these other guys were except for a yoga who's a backup. So. I mean, that's, you know what, I'll take that as like, all right, we had a guy who we had on the team last year who actually started games at left tackle, and he is now a backup. So that's good. And I know Joe Douglas spent a lot of effort on this. This was a primary Jake: focus for this has always been and that's all the news that he's this guy. So all right, I mean, this is a wait and see to me this is a project totally totally great got to see what it looks like after a few weeks and I'm only going to judge it by Sam Donald Saks and any and bells running guards like that. So I know that I know that like
24:04 Justin: You know, to open the season, it's no great shakes. You know, you've you've got you got Buffalo week one, which we're going to get. We got to keep going. Well, no, I'm just saying, based on last year, like that's a pretty rough. First team to have to see and then the second team, San Francisco, which is also a pretty rough fucking team for an offensive line to have to see. Jake: So two good defensive teams. All right. Defensive line. What's your what's your feeling? Justin: This is okay. This is probably the strength of the team, the defensive line. Who are you game planning for on this team? Quinn and Williams. Quinn and Williams. You're looking at that guy as the third overall pick last year and you're saying, well, that guy is going to be something this year. Like he, by all accounts came back. Great shape. Like did nothing but work out in the off season and ready to go be that disruptor in the middle get some sacks from inside of the defense of tackle position. I think if you're really trying to game plan for the jett's you're probably thinking when it wins but at the same time. They're kind of difficult in that way because there isn't that guy right like there's no kaleel mac sure kaleel mac blows up again. But. You kind of prepare for that. So like, so like, what are you preparing for? I'll say nobody. We're going to surprise you. Jake: Yeah, this this this line. Justin: I don't mind. Jake: This has been a powerhouse of us for years. We've had some really great years where our defensive line was was great. I just I look at this and I'm like, okay, a few players who I like, but no one who's. screams anything to me. Sorry. Justin: I think ultimately you got Quinn and Williams. And it's slated as stars. You got Quinn and Williams, McClendon, and Henry Anderson. Fine. I think ultimately the guys on this team are Quinn and Williams, Nathan Shepard, and Kyle Phillips. Nathan Shepard has showed us nothing, by the way. Just... No, that's not true. That's an untrue statement. He just plays inside. These guys play inside. When you see nobody running on us, that means Nathan Sheppard's doing something. So like, I like those three dudes. I think Kyle Phillips and Quinn and Williams are both coming Jake: into their second year and I think they're going to be good. All right, move on to linebackers with our one missing who decided not to play this year. By the way, is that reversible? Like if he if in the middle of the season, he goes, you know what, this whole COVID thing is totally cool. And they did it right. Can he come back? Or is it like I'm not I'm of the opinion that he's done because it has cap implications Justin: Like because basically what he by him opting out and we're talking about cj. Moseley when he opts out part of that like his contract gets Wiped to like some other year like way at the end of his contract. So you might actually save some money on the cap because usually not last year
27:02 Justin: those NFL contracts don't really get played out. It's the guaranteed stuff up front that he has to get paid but the rest of it's garbage. So I don't think they would let a guy back after they opt out because it screws up the salary cap really bad. Jake: I mean to me, I mean, how many how many snaps is that guy played? He could be the worst all time offseason. So far, it's an ironing signing. Justin: So far, it just looks like an awful, awful sign. And he's played in half a game twice, like two halves. He didn't even play one full game. It was like two half games. Jake: Looking forward to catch men becoming something. Maybe. Jordan Jenkins, I guess but this is also another weak spot. I just don't see anything in here If you have your number one player who's not who's not in who's not playing in this position Then you know that you're you've got a lot of backup people. I Justin: Mean a very interesting coming back never you it looked okay last year. I actually liked the guy Burgess that they cut I don't know why they cut him, but whatever. They kept Cashman around. He'll be a backup. But we'll see. Basham had a halfway decent second half of the season. Greg Williams tends to get something out of these guys with energy. If you have energy, he's going to get something out of you. Jake: All right, and let's move on to the last, we will not talk about kickers, because kickers don't matter. But you gotta have a ficken somewhere. So the secondary, again, I look at this, and I'm like, we just lost maybe one of the top three safeties in the NFL. Yep. And we have a lot of projects. It's just amazing project, project, project, project. Justin: I don't know, I think I disagree. What do you do well first of all marcus may is not a project we know he's very good. I'm and we know that he's excellent player and by the way he's gonna play the jamal adams position is gonna move over okay so he's gonna be all over the field which will be fun we'll see what he can do. We traded for McDougal, so he's going to battle Ash and Davis, who we drafted. for that other spot I think Mike Duggoldo will probably end up starting week one. Now corner gets a little dicey. I think he's going to be a very good player and a starter for us. I think Brian Poole is a very good slot corner. I think he is a very good blitzer. He's rated very high in terms of like what he does on the field. It's that other corner spot. That's a little like Really appear to see here Are you going to arthur maul let maybe I know nate hareston's on this thing, but I think he was cut. Um, so We'll see how that second corner Well, that's gonna be all dicey, but I really like bless austin. I think he's good
30:05 Jake: To me this is like the no-name team. I mean other than a couple like you know Bell I think is probably the biggest name on our team, but this is Arnold this secondary is like Jesus Christ who the fuck are these people? Justin: But I mean, you know Sometimes those are the guys sometimes that's what you need You just need a bunch of hungry dudes who are gonna go out there and give it their all Play real hard. Jake: All right. Justin: Hey, we have a new punter. That's fun. Jake: Yeah, that's not at all fun. Let's get on to our, let's do week by week predictions. So we are going to quickly pick the weeks and quickly cause you don't have a lot of time cause you're terrible at scheduling. And we're going to go through week by week. We're going to pick win loss. We're going to pick the season. We'll take the A.F.S. East and then we'll we usually pick all the playoff teams, but maybe we'll just pick the Super Bowl for this year. And so let's go. Week one at the Bills, one o'clock. Am I going first or you going first? You're always going first because then I get to laugh at your mistakes. OK, this is a victory. So you're saying the team that was made the playoffs they make my last year Yeah, those the bills made the playoffs but we played them real tough came up with an incredible Incredible defense at towards the end. They were like Whatever you say that a week one. We're gonna win against them in Orchard Park With that mean though that means nothing. So yeah, I think so I will tell you I've never had a hard time picking this shit. I don't know what these teams are going to look like on week one. Justin: I don't think it's going to be interesting. They're going to be interesting. I think the Bills are probably pretty good. I'm just saying we're going to win. I think they're a good team though. They're probably going to win the division. Jake: I'm gonna go loss because I just I just can't see us if this is a traditional coming off what that if I'm just looking at what the team was last year and what our team was last year and not figure out all the moves I feel like there's still a better team than we are. What if I told you the Bills have Stefan Diggs? That would make it better. I don't know. They do. Justin: I mean, they do have someone, dude. Jake: And who's going to guard him? Bless Austin. Better bless them. All right. So we're one, one, or I'm oh and one, you're one and one and oh. All right. Week two. Again, at home with nobody attending. Again, this is the Niners and I think we lose. I'm going to go opposite. I think we can win. I like them coming to us. Our crowd will be ro... Oh, wait. No, they won't be doing anything. Whoops. I think actually the loss against Buffalo will put a little stake. My prediction for this entire season is every game for the first...
33:01 Jake: No, every game is going to look like the playoffs. No, playoffs. Every game is going to look like the preseason. There's just going to be people coming in now. You'll have no-name players. Every game will look like the preseason. But so I'm going to win. Justin: They're going to be pretty good. I'll go lose. All right. Next week we are at Indy and Phillip Rivers. Jake: I like the Jets to beat Phillip Rivers because they always beat Phillip Rivers. I do not like Phillip Rivers. I will bet against Phillip Rivers. So we're both two and one, two and one going into going into a big Thursday night game against Denver at home against Denver. Justin: Oh, Thursday night. And I like us against Denver, Novon Miller, he's out for the year. And I like it, three and one jets. Jake: I agree with you. I think that they don't come into us. I like being at home. I like the short week at home. Wait, no, we're coming back off Indy. Still, I like being at home on a Thursday night. It's just harder to travel that way. All right, I'll take the win. Justin: Wow, we're both three and one, huh? Jake: Three and one. With an Arizona team coming in to play. There's a lot of losses coming up, so don't worry about it. Justin: There's a lot of losses coming. Um, I think Arizona catches us, though. I think Kylo Murray is a tricky little guy. Uh, three and two. Jake: I actually think we win against this. I'm OK with the thing. This is when the team actually starts to become a team depending on whatever you know who has mono. Don't know. I think we win that. I think we're four and one. I'm feeling good about our first quarter. Well, OK. And then we go to the Chargers. I like us beating the Chargers there. So I have a set four and two. I don't have a swimming to charges and i going to charges there. They got a rookie i've been watching him on hard knocks he plays if he starts he'll start but i'm even terror to use given us some. Well i'm gonna tell her we beat the shit out of him until we knock him out of games and then guys come in and yeah that's what the. I'm going to go with, well, that's what will happen. We'll hit, you know what? It'll happen again. We'll knock him out and it'll come Herbert or whatever the fucking name is. And then he will, he'll win the game. So I'm going to go with the loss. We're four and two tied. We're both foreign to. Okay. All right. Buffalo again, I think we split. Justin: So four and three. Jake: I had us winning this one before so I can't. Yeah, I'm going to go loss. I just think Buffalo's unless they lost just too much talent again, paid no attention to the offseason. I'm going to go loss four and three. Justin: All right, and then we go to Kansas City and lose four and four. Yep agreed. No even point talking about it. Then we have the Patriots on Monday night. At home at home and I think beat them. Fuck them, patriots.
36:00 Justin: I think we'd be Steedom or Cam or whoever the hell is playing quarterback at that point, fuck them five and four. Jake: I agree. We can we can win that one and go five and four. Justin: And we go to Miami. Which is this is a strange part of our schedule by the way i've never seen this before we go to miami then we have a buy then we have miami at home. Crazy thing i've ever seen yeah i'm never seen anything like it i'm just gonna go split skis here. We'll win one and lose one. I don't know which one we're going to win, which one we're going to lose. Jake: Agreed. I'm going to say we lose the one there and we're going to win the one at home just because of home. Justin: So I've got to say like six and five at this point, I think. Jake: I think I'm the same. Six and five. All right. Justin: Then we have LA and I think, or sorry, Las Vegas. Vegas next. Raiders and I saw a loss. I almost won LA. I think we beat them. Jake: And I think that gets me to seven and five. Yeah. Yep, you're 7 to 5. I'm gonna lose against the Raiders. I just don't see us doing it. So the Raiders, it doesn't matter who's there, they always give us a fucking problem. Doesn't matter where we win them. They always give us a problem. We beat the marks here pretty, pretty Justin: handily. So I guess it's seven and five. You guys said what, six and six? Jake: And now six and six, yeah, after that. Okay, I guess losing at Seattle here to go to seven and six. I'm losing at Seattle as well, going to six and seven. So I'm now, and I'm also then gonna lose against the Rams. I'm seven and seven. I've got us losing those back to back, Justin: but then I've got us winning out. finishing in nine and seven we beat Cleveland we go to seven and then we have a win in situation for the wild card where we beat the Patriots in New England Jake: last week of the season I have us winning against the Cleveland but and winning against New England but finishing eight and eight. I have a nine and seven you have a state Justin: and eight oh that's pretty like par for the course for us. That's the most well first of all Jake: after how many years wait when so us winning season or even break even season like that's Justin: not par for the course for anybody. I mean that fits Joe that that that that that fits fits magic season was awesome when you tell me how many years ago was that? Well like three or four whatever. Jake: Okay, alright, so just give me the AFC East. What are you thinking? So we're at the U of I think, I have a say in the New England. Justin: I have a say at nine and seven. The Jets. Oh, you want like you want people on records? Okay. Yeah. Got it. Um, I think the bills are gonna be pretty good. I think that they're gonna be eleven at five. Jake: Oh, okay. I think New England is 10 and six. Miami is seven and nine.
39:01 Jake: And Buffalo is 10 and six. I think Buffalo is 11 and five. I think we're nine and seven. I think the Patriots are eight and eight. I think the Dolphins are six and ten. Patriots eight and eight. Wow. All right. So what's that? Justin: That's actually fairly significant. You know, they've lost like eight or nine guys to that COVID list. Like they're just completely opted out and like they lost, you know, they lost their starting quarterback that's been there for the last 20 years. So I think it's reasonable to think Jake: that they'll slip a little. I think they'll slip a little. I just don't think they're gonna slip that far down the path. So I have a I have depends what it depends what Cam can do. Like can this guy play or not? And if he can't, then they're fucked. True, true. I just until I can see it, I'm not betting against, I'm not betting against baby. I think that's fair. So let's not do the playoffs, but let's pick a Super Bowl. Who do you think will be in the Super Bowl this year? Justin: This is like, I mean, this is like Jake: Gotta be the hardest thing. It's completely impossible to pick because Justin: it's it really is because It's you don't know who's doing what and like, you know Who's in looks like what who's healthy? Jake: But out of the America, I have the AFC East, who do you think you still think is a good team that can make it all the way? Out of the East or is there the AFC? Justin: So like, I think Kansas City, you got to keep up there, right? Because they're Kansas City. I think I think the Ravens are going to be pretty good. K right because i think they got a thing going until you figure that out there gonna be pretty good i think tennessee is pretty good. And i think i watch out for the steelers coming back that's gonna be like a big bang to play i think that's a tricky team have to deal with. what they went through last year like what i want to see what is your goal just i'm going to like whatever i got that's that's that's definitely the right way to go about it and they just want to say that they look pretty good i guess i got patch of mom's who. Jake: you know all world cuba and nandy reed's not going anywhere so i just earned the half half a billion dollars so you know he's good yeah and the nfc i can ask the east dallas giants philadelphia washington. Ugh. Not there. Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Minnesota. Justin: Maybe Green Bay, maybe. Jake: Green Bay is always in the running, but it seems to have up and down years. Atlanta, Carolina, New Orleans, Tampa Bay. I mean, are you bringing the fun from... Are you bringing the fun from Tom Brady? Justin: No, I think New Orleans is really good, though.
42:00 Jake: I honestly think it's going to be the Rams. I think it's going to be Chiefs Rams. I don't know why, but that's just my prediction. So I'm going to go Chiefs Rams. Justin: I'm going to go. I'm going to go Baltimore Seattle. Jake: Baltimore Seattle, okay. Can you give me a score? Justin: Sure. It's going to be 2120 Seattle. Jake: I'm just writing it down so I have it. 20. Give me an MVP. Russell Wilson. I think you've picked him so many times. I'm gonna go Chiefs 34, Rams 31, Mahomes MVP. That's my prediction. All right. Justin: I mean, you do know I just picked Jamal Adams to win the fucking Super Bowl, which sucks, but whatever. Enjoy that Jamal, whatever. Jake: All right, well there's our prediction. Sorry we didn't do the playoffs, but sorry, time's hard. It's hard. All right, let's get to week one. Yeah, dude. Where you actually do some shit. Do some work. Justin: All right, I don't know shit, so here we go. All right, we're picking all the games. We're picking them against the spread. And i'm gonna try to skip the a c east teams that are involved so that we can talk about them in a little more depth in a minute. The game is every time he messes up take a drink and sounds like you already started i'm okay so here we go. Tinky Tink. Jake: There's a night in my jet glass sitting on top of my jet coaster, my jet's glass on top of my jet's coaster with the field from the metal metal and metal and metal and Justin: early. Oh, giant stadium. Cool. All right. No. All right. Let's go. Let's talk to you about giant stadium. All right. Let's do this. Let's do this. All the games against the spread starting with the Thursday night game. It starts tomorrow the season at 8 20 p.m. On the east coast we have Kansas City hosting Houston Kansas City favored by nine points and I think they will probably win by about 20 so Jake: I saw the spread is 10 and I picked Houston but at 9 I'm gonna take Casey Justin: and they all who came down from nine and a half to nine so whatever. Alright here we go opening slate Sunday afternoon Sunday Sunday Seattle at Atlanta Seattle favored by two I'm gonna take the home team and the points. Jake: I will tell you I don't know who even is on Atlanta at this point. Justin: Matt Ryan. Jake: Who's still there? Okay, no, I'll take Seattle. Thanks. Justin: Okay, I'll skip this one and I'll move to the next one.
45:02 Justin: We have Detroit. hosting Chicago, Detroit favored by three. I like Chicago on the road. Jake: I too like Chicago on the road. I don't again, I don't know who's on Detroit, like what that team is, who's a player, who's anything. It is actually interesting and maybe this will be a reflection on next year. Not paying attention to fantasy definitely lowers your like who's on every other team because I don't care. Yeah, it's true Justin: It's harder to figure out Alright, here we go And then we've got the other matchup in that division we have Minnesota is hosting Green Bay and Minnesota's favored by two and a half I like I like Green Bay. I like Minnesota at home on the opener sorry Green Bay. By the way a lot of division games here not all of them but a ton of them. I think that's what that's Jake: one of the things they do they do them at the first week and the last week right so they thought all of them though well not all of them but of course the Justin: last week no but the last week is all of them. Jake: Yes. Justin: Oh, can't wait to get that last game. It's just a coincidence. It's very strange. Where are we? Here we are. We are at Philadelphia at the team with no name in Washington. And Philadelphia is favored by six on the road and I'm going to take Philly. Jake: I'll take Philly on the road as well. By the way those playing along Justin has Navigated the non AFC East or navigate the very well. I know I've already done it done. No No drinks Justin: Here is this frickin Las Vegas is gonna fuck me up all year The Las Vegas Raiders who nobody could go see awesome our at Carolina, Vegas giving three. Who's Carolina starter? Don't know. Gotta be honest. I don't know either. That's fucked. I want to know before I make this pick. It's Teddy Bridgewater. How about that? We should have known that. I'll take Vegas and I'm going to take Vegas. Yeah, same. All right. Jake: So when you say Vegas is giving them three, it's going to fuck it up because it sounds like the team Vegas versus Vegas. I know. And it's going to be bad. Justin: All right. Indy is at Jacksonville. Indy's favored by eight. Why? And I don't know why there. Yeah. Why is it? Well, Jacksonville did Jacksonville blew up their team. In all fairness, they did. They blew it up in training camp. They literally just sent everybody packing
48:02 Justin: Like really like all right like what's his face? Um, he reminds me of Liguera blunt. All right Leonard for net You're out of here. All right in doc. Oh, you're out of here Like all their best players are gone, but I still think eight points is just a bit much for indie much too much Baltimore's hosting Cleveland Baltimore laying seven and a half and I'm gonna take Baltimore. Jake: I'll take Baltimore at home, seven and a half against Cleveland. I'd really like to go for Cleveland, like a Cleveland upset here, but I'm not gonna do it. Justin: I was with you on that same thought process, but. I don't know. I thought it was just really good. Jake: So he gets hurt. Until I mean, I guess it's like looking at last year, I'm just trying to think of these two teams last year. One like was a playoff contender deep in the playoffs. The other one was like crap. So like I'm going to go with the one that I think is a better team. Again, crap and Cleveland, you know, no backup. Justin: . I'll just leave it there. Moving on. We have the L.A. Chargers going to Cincinnati and the Chargers are favored by three. I'm going to take Cincinnati and that rookie Joe Barra. I'm going to bet on no way. Jake: Give me give me give me the give me the Chargers on the road. I don't know why. Justin: By the way,- I. a the M of -, that was our first four o'clock.. How many for us? One, two, three. And i don't think it is actually i think fox's regional this this week new orleans is hosting tamper Jake: so this is rubri top ready on his 110th season against tom brady this is great uh new Justin: orleans is home they're favored by-three and a half and it's tom brady magic so i don't I think he loses his first game and he probably doesn't lose by like more than three. So I'm going to go with Tampa. Jake: So you're going to go, you're going to say that. So you're going on the theory that Tom Brady is as good as he is without Bill Belichick. Is that what you're saying? Because there's like two theories, right? Yeah, yeah. The system made him and one is he is so good that it doesn't matter what system he's in. Justin: I think both are true. I know that i think he's both that good and the system was also that excellent. But i don't think that he stepped into a bad one he stepped into bruce arian's system who is can make james winston throw for thirty plus touchdowns so like this is a good system that he's walking into any as a lot of weapons around including his friend gronk so.
51:13 Justin: I'm just like that I totally got that I forgot that whole thing that can't come out of and Leonard for that is down there too now and he already had my Kevin's in Chris Godwin like he's got weapons that he hasn't seen since he was thrown a boss and welcome. Jake: I'm gonna say no cohesion I like new Orleans at home I've been to the dome back when used to be able to go to games I remember that and I know you're with me. I don't like the three and a half, but I just don't think the rust is gonna be that off him. I remember New Orleans kind of, New Orleans turning it on last year. So I'm gonna go with NOLA at home. Okay. Justin: All right, moving around. We have San Francisco hosting Arizona. Seven points. That's a tough pick. That's gonna be about the score. I'll take the points. I'll take the dog. I'll take Arizona. Me too. No problem. No problem with that. Alright, Dallas goes to the Rams on our first Sunday night football game. That's a good Sunday nighter. Dallas is always on Sunday night. You know, typical Rams home. But dallas is favored by three on the road here over the rams and i don't get it from pick the ramps. I'll take the rams as well and you like you like you like them in the super bowl so i don't get that. Why i like this rule no why i mean you think they're this good you're watching them on hard knocks like clearly that's where your thought process is coming from the river in the super bowl two years ago is not that far ago. Jake: Why are they underdogs here? I don't know. And Dallas too. It's like Dallas still is still Ezekiel and Justin: Yeah, they got Jack, they got Zeke, they got the Mark Cooper is back. Cooper's back and then the second guy is halfway decent. But like, I don't get it. I don't know why this is I don't know why this is a Dallas is favored because everyone loves Dallas or whatever. All right, Monday. Two Monday nights. Yeah, Pittsburgh at New York Giants. Pittsburgh favor by six. It's too many. Pick the Giants. So Pittsburgh is Roth's program. Yeah. All Jake: right. At the Giants with their second year quarterback. I'm gonna go Pittsburgh on this. Okay? Justin: And then we have Tennessee at Denver and this line flipped big time on the Von Miller. So I know out because of injury again, pain injury tour attended in somewhere.
54:02 Justin: He's out for the year. He's on our going on or whatever. So this flipped completely. Denver was initially favored by one and now Tennessee is favored by two and a half. And I like Tennessee. Jake: I'll take Tennessee as well. This is the game I'd maybe wait up for and watch. Justin: Yeah, I think that's a good game. I like it. Jake: So I'm going to be watching Monday night. Justin: So now we got to do our games. Jake: We have like nine or so minutes to pick our games. We have New England. New England is Miami. Justin: No, it's Miami. and Miami at New England, New England minus six and a half. And then we also in the AFC East, we have New York Jets at Buffalo. Buffalo minus six and a half. OK, let's talk about it. All right. So first game, I guess we'll talk about Miami and New England. New England favored by quite some margin. Based on what? Like New England being good over the last 20 years with a different quarterback and all these guys that were healthy, like they're missing most of their team. So like I don't understand the line. I think the line should be three personally. Like, okay, give New England the benefit of the doubt. Just make it more of like a neutral line is just crazy i would pick miami just in a straight like pick up and i know i got to pick the score i think we're gonna pray eke this out. Jake: I feel like a twenty three twenty new england. I actually see Miami doing okay with this. So I'm going to go, anyone 20 Miami. Um, they just like them tough historically. They always do. And that's always with Tom Brady. I don't see that. I just don't know. And this is the team. And even our league, I have no clue of. Everybody else at least has like a guys coming back. This is such an enigma. It's the thing we've been wanting for so long. It's almost like he opened up your Christmas present. I know. Ahhh! God, I got the- What is Billy- Justin: What is Billy got his liver can? What does he have left in his legs? For good of the arm. What does he have left in his legs that bergone that make happen? Jake: It's gonna be a- I weird one. It is going to be weird, but I'll take I'll take Miami in a nail better 21 20. All right. Justin: I'm looking at your prediction here and I'm throwing my brow like, is that really your Jake: prediction? Well, I did just pick them in the in the thing. So I can't. Oh, right. I don't do that. Do I? You don't do this. You have the Jets losing this game, don't Justin: you? No, I don't. You can't move it. All right. All right. Here we go. Season opener.
57:00 Justin: Um, I really don't know what to expect. We have seen nothing. We've seen no preseason Barely a clip from you know, i've seen a handful of videos of sam throwing some nice balls to some guys in the end zone whatever but So hard to judge especially when it's your own team you want to be a little more well far Do you want to you know, I do want to come here and be like here's the deal. Here's what it's going to be like I have no idea. I got to watch this. Jake: At this point, we would have watched, I mean, you and I have gone and watched. Justin: We would have watched 12 to 15 hours of stuff. Jake: Already? Plus, we've gone to practices in advance. We used to go to scrimmages. This is so little information. It's like reading these little like, oh, Sam did this. Justin: I know, right? The little flirt, the rich simini, whatever about practice and small garbage. Why don't we do like some keys of the castle, right? So I'll just base it on last year and or the Buffalo defense is suffocating a really are and That's gonna be really the key is gonna be how can our offensive line? Brand new, never played together. How do they stack up? And I'm not even thinking like, how well do they block? I'm thinking more just can you just not miss assignments? Can you just not have like, can you just not get not fuck it up? Well, like I'm thinking like anything less than two penalties on the line will be pretty good. Like, you know. false starts, I know there's no crowd, so that's a thing that'll be helpful. I think, I don't know what they're doing, are they pumping crowd noise in? Who the fuck knows? Like, I don't know what they're doing. So, it'll be a big key to see if that offensive line keep Sam standing. And if we can get some quick stuff going early. where he's standing and feeling confident and comfortable in the pocket, we might be able to get some stuff moving later on in the game. On defense, I don't think Josh Allen is that hard to stop. You just have to knock him over because he's going to stand there and he's going to try and run around. get extra time and he's susceptible to making mistakes and he's susceptible to getting hit and bumbling and that's what you need to do. So on the offensive side of the ball we need to keep saying clean and keep that offensive line penalty free and on defense we got to hit their quarterback a few times early and knock him around and make him think twice before he wants to start running around in that backfield because he does cause problems when he starts doing that. He's a big strong fast guy. With all that said, I did think we'd win the game. I think it'll be somewhat low scoring. I'm not expecting any sort of like offensive explosion here. So I'm going 17.
1:00:03 Jake: 13 jets. Oh, it's just terrible. The whole thing is terrible. I just think that coming back, like if I look at their roster, I see more players from last year. Like I see like, oh, they have some players that they, and then newer weapons that I'm a little bit more scared of than if I look at our, like, you know, it's like a couple of players. I don't think they lost as much as we did. I definitely think we can beat them, but I just don't even know. Again, this is usually a place where you're like, get the crowd noise out of it. Get started on. Don't make mistakes. Who knows? These players haven't played in a game. They have not taken real snaps in real games. They haven't even scrimmaged with anybody real. I mean, they've only scrimmaged against each other. I think I saw the quote. Justin: Yeah, I can't remember who said it, but I think it was someone on the defense might have been Quentin Williams Who was like I just can't wait to hit somebody in another color. Yeah. Yeah Jake: I I just think if you if you stack up these two teams from who they were last year Oh the bills are better. I think that bills are a better team I'm gonna give it to the Jets because I love the Jets. I think they can win by making two less mistakes. It's just going to be such a riddled game of mistakes. I mean, the penalty is going to be incredible. The the interceptions, there should be so much rust. My prediction is like the rust comes off the bus so fast. It's a matter of who has less rust. They're both new quarterbacks. They're both. I mean, they're I mean, Justin: They have the continuity of that head coach having been there for the last three years and this is the only had to go to that quarterback has played for. I'm and you know they have some more he said that's there with respect to you know who they're bringing back but. At the same time. You know, it's going to be a toss up. Like maybe they didn't prepare correctly. Who knows? You know, Jake: maybe someone doesn't pass a COVID test on Saturday. Justin: Yeah. Who the fuck knows? I don't know. How does the crowd work? Like how does that work? Are they going to pump noise in? Jake: They should be silent. They shouldn't pump noise. I think I agree. It should be it should be what it is. And we should be able to hear the game like the actual crunching and the talking of the game a lot more, Justin: which is interesting. Oh, I'll tell you as a big soccer fan. It's been awesome to watch like you can hear how hard Like they kicked the ball, for example, you're going to hear and we do already how hard these guys hit each other. Jake: Yeah, like and and and I mean, if that might is sticking towards if they have that mic they usually have that shooting towards the the the quarterback when he's in the huddle, you'll be able to hear. You'll be able to hear them. Yeah, I mean, they're going to have to do something about that because.
1:03:00 Justin: You shouldn't be able to hear them turn it off i guess i think you have to turn down those parabolic i don't think you're gonna wanna hear. First of all no team is gonna want be okay with anybody hearing the calls as they're hiding alive. I am and then secondarily. I'm fairly certain they're going to have to deal with cursing and swearing and figuring that out. Oh yeah. Jake: Uh, because they have someone, this is a six second delay. They've been doing that for years. So they'll just have a six second delay and they'll have a person. I'm sure there'll be some current. Again, I. Haven't watched like baseball. Justin: and I haven't watched basketball to know what the American sports look like these days. I really don't. I know what soccer looks like internationally. I think basketball, they've been just doing what they normally do in the arenas, which is like they just play music. And that's just normal. They still have no idea what they're doing. Jake: I literally just think if they even play all the fans stuff even when they showed their first like Justin: Yeah, announcer for what for who who which who what public is that is that person addressing? Yeah, right. It's like this is what was the purpose of that? Jake: This is like, and there's a famous quote, may you live in interesting times. And I think as our generation, while we're close, I think you're on the other side of the generation, but we'll let you into my generation. Like living through 9-11, living through things like COVID, like in some ways, when you can step back from it a little bit, it is interesting times. You get to witness things that hopefully no one will ever witness ever again. And this is one of them like the season that there were no fans the fan list is you'll see an ESPN documentary in 10 years Oh, yeah, the fan this season and we'll be like yeah, we were there we we want to go to the freaking games Justin: W 30 there'll be a 30 for 30 called 2020 yeah, or like 2020 vision or something and then they'll be like this. All right. Here's the Super Bowl that happened Which happened in 2020, which was an event. If it does, if it does. Well, no, no, no, it already did. The year 2020 had a Super Bowl and then everything shut down. Jake: Yeah. I mean, here's hoping that, I mean, the best, the best thing that could happen is we get a vaccine. And by the time the Super Bowl comes, they maybe push it, push it a week, push it a month, but they can actually go and have a fan base. Well, you made the prediction. I'll say it again. You like this production. I did. Yes, right. But this is like your yearly prediction. But it was like as a Jets fan, I've used this a couple times with friends and family. Like as a Jets fan, of course, the curse, the curse of the Jets fan is the Jets do great, make the playoffs, make the Super Bowl. go to the Super Bowl and win the Super Bowl in a fanless stadium that has two ramifications. One,
1:06:00 Jake: we can't be there. Nope, sorry, can't be there. And two, that they then they put a huge asterisk on the seasons like, well, the season with no fans, the season where no stadium, the season where it was IR everybody, you know, where everybody's in COVID. And then number three. Which is well now you gotta wait another 50 years. Yeah I'm willing. Oh and your other prediction was that the Patriots were gonna totally tank the season Justin: Yes, the first things like they are doing that is a lot of coping guys Jake: Take them you're off. That's right. You know Bill's calling up one at once like look just take the years like hey Justin: You know how you made the Pro Bowl last year. That was a lot of extra work Take this year off. Jake: This year's going to stop. Justin: Remember how you like, remember how hard that was before Tom? Oh, you don't. It's hard. Take this year off. They draft Tom. We'll draft the next Tom next year. Don't worry about it. That Clemson guy's sitting there for us. You'll be good. Jake: Anyway, it should be a fun season. We'll try to keep up. We'll do our part. We'll do as much as the regular. We'll try our best. We have figured out this whole zooming thing. I think it'd be interesting, we're using a software to do it. I was almost thinking maybe we should record this video of us like sitting here. Oh, that's interesting. I mean, if it's easy, like just saying, record the video and watch us talk, although it's terrible, we could put it up on YouTube. Justin: We are pretty boring. Jake: Yeah, I'm boring and and Harry and all the wrong places. Oh, yeah, really bad And I'm sitting in like a sweatshirt. I just or a t-shirt I just ran around that'd be the terrible thing is I would I have so many t-shirts Justin: Yeah, everyone would see you in the same clothing every week and they'd be like what's up with this dude Why is it still in that same clothing? Jake: It's not even a jet shirt like what's up? I own I wear just thing yet. No, I'm trying to think of what I got to wear for Sunday. I don't know. I have I have brought up here. Justin: I have two hats and a long sleeve t-shirt, a regular t-shirt, and I have my Sam Donald all black. Nice. Nice. I say this because I am in Massachusetts. I am in enemy territory. And I will be here for the foreseeable future, at least the first month of the season. I'll be everywhere at least the first couple of games. We'll see how you watch it. Enjoy. I guess you'll be watching it on Patriot. Patriot's dolphins will be your favorite. Jake: Oh, terrible. I'll figure it out. I have, I went, I cut the cord and I have, I have my, my regular plan. I just figured it out today. So I have my CBSO access, which should give me local live TV, which would be good. And then my backup plan is YouTube or yet YouTube TV. And I guess my backup to both of those is I have direct TV Sunday ticket where I can guess watch the red zone.
1:09:02 Jake: So those two are crapping out. I upgraded my internet. So I'm like. I'm trying to do the whole court getting thing. I guess I could go to a bar. No, there's no bar. No, you can't. Justin: I mean, that would that's my bummer is like that would be what I would do, but I can't do it. So Jake: Well, in Massachusetts on opening. Justin: No, I don't think the pubs are you could sit outside of places, but I don't really know of like a sports bar that I could go to around here that would be. Jake: amicable to not having the Patriots on my yes my fourth my fourth my fourth stringer and my quarterback is like listening to it on radio. Justin: I mean ultimately that might be the thing is like. Jake: Yeah, I guess you'd have to like sign up for serious though, wouldn't you? I'm serious. Okay, you're serious with the NFL All right, man. Well, that's it. Well, we'll maybe be back next week. Maybe not go It'll hit us both will both be on IR who knows but at least you got this one We haven't missed this streak enjoy as always Do whatever you need to do. We'll see you next week. It's Justin and Jake saying, let's go Jets.
