09 Justin: The best place to be is when expectations are high. It- It's always gonna be that way. Jake: Welcome to the JK podcast. Longest running New York Jets podcast ever. My name is Jake and joining me for the 206th time, although I'm thinking about firing him and the rest of the staff. Justin. Justin, how are you doing? Justin: The podcast is running great. There's no reason to fire the podcast crew. Jake: The podcast defense has not lived up to the podcast. To the hype of the podcast. Justin: The podcast is fine. It's, you know, it's the rest of this team that the podcast follows that is having a problem. Jake: So here's, I just want to point out an issue. First of all, we don't have a lot of time. We don't have a lot of time and we have a shit ton to talk about. We can do everything very quickly. Because I think we should, we want to do the pick them. Yes. We kind of want to talk about the game. Right. And I kind of want to talk about the future game. I feel like at this point, the Panther game is sort of, it is what it is. Done. We lost. We suck. Justin: We are not a good team. We are going in the wrong direction. Right. For the third year in a row. Right. And we can discuss after the season, because the season is over in two weeks for us. No doubt. No question. No mathematical bullshit. Well, you know, San Antonio Holmes wasn't sure until he was told. Oh, he's a fucking idiot. And I hope he's one of the many people who is not back on this team next year. He wasn't sure until he was told on Wednesday that he'd been around. Jake: Nothing to play for to bet except to be the spoiler. The spoiler's fun. The spoiler's fun. So that's really it. I don't think we- Could we just pick a fool? We could skip all that. Justin: Could we just pick a fool? Well, I think we could. We could pick a fool. Pick a fool. I was gonna pick San Antonio Holmes. What's up, Holmes? Because he opened his fucking mouth. Why do you open your mouth? When you're clearly the underdog and on the road and... You make a whole thing about the secondary of the team that you're playing, who's like one of the best defenses in the league is a weak link. And then you go out and catch two balls and you drop one right in your frickin hands. And of course he does. Jake: My fool was the special teams line who pulled that fucking game and let that guy come right through. Justin: Bad momentum shifter. Jake: They already, you know, they already. So. Steven Hill out for the rest of the year. Out, done, your boy. I think Gino's still starting for this year, for this week. We can talk about that in a bit. But let's talk about the one thing because I think this is like if we were going to spend five minutes on something, let's spend five minutes on because I think we're, because
02 Jake: we're not going to be back until the beginning of next year. So what is it? I think it's the You Yeah, it's the what? It's the Rex, it's the hot seat, it's the go, is it not so? It's the go and the hot seat boy. So what are you feeling? Because I know you were really, early this week you said fired. You said he should go, this team is going nowhere, it's over. Yeah. And how do you feel now? Have you calmed down? Same way. No, no. Give me the, here's why he should be fired, speech. Alright. Two minutes. Justin: So he's had five, this is his fifth season. That's correct. I think five is a really great number to give a guy. since he has to hear they have for going in the wrong direction like he took team that didn't even but what what the season before had a lot of talent on on it far her had to keep playing going right of like doing the right thing and taking a couple weeks off, that team would have made the playoffs. He took over a good team. Destined to be a really good to great defensive coordinator in the NFL. No, he's better than his brother. He's a much better defensive coordinator than his brother. Jake: He is the Peter principle. Justin: But yeah, he's destined to be a great defense. He's North Turner. He's destined to be a great coordinator in the NFL. Not a He can't get the offense past a certain point and he never has been able to and they won't under him They won't gonna happen. He's never gonna have a balanced team. He's always gonna be lopsided to the defensive side of the ball And over the last bunch of years they have not finished. They have not finished the seasons three years ago when we went eight and eight we were eight and five we had a chance we had we had it all on we had our we controlled it and we lost the last three games of the year last year we fell apart at the end of the season and this year we're falling apart I think at the end of the season I don't know if we're gonna win another. I'm gonna pick us to beat the Browns but I don't think we're gonna be dolphins so three years in a row of just downhill and it's finally sort of clicked with me that The general the new general manager does deserve and
00 Justin: reserve the right to Bring in his own guy and put his stamp and That's the full culture shift. So if John Idzick really wants to put his stamp on a team and really shift the culture again, he has to bring in a new coaching staff. ., otherwise, otherwise it's, otherwise it's, otherwise it's still the team. So I think in order to do that he has to bring in a new guy and I think it's necessary at this point because Jake: I I I I I the I'm like, you know, and then become great, but never get back there. I believe that some great coaches start by having their own careers to start and then go on and go back. I think Ryan in two to seven years can be a coach. I do. I think that everything, even the stuff we've seen from year to year, all the bravado and bullshit for the first couple of years, they got into a lot of stuff. You know like microbiota. There are things about him that I still really like. I really I love his passion. I love that he wants to be on that field, you know, tackling people. I love that he is, you know, that he just a guy that you kind of want to root for if you're his you know, on his team, I look at other head coaches and I just think oh, he just looked like a pile of mud. Like I don't know, some head coach, they just look at like, I don't want you on my team, you don't have no charisma. But, beginning of the season, I predicted that we would not have a winning season. And I just said, we're just, this team doesn't have the talent to do it. And he has made a couple of mistakes. And I think everybody's kind of even looking back to the preseason. Like he almost made his bed. And the only way out, the way to save his job, which I said last year was to make the playoffs and I think I said on the podcast he needs to win a playoff game to save his job. So if my prediction was good back then it still can't change now. He can't stay because he hasn't done anything to show that he should stay, right? For all the reasons he's made big flubs, big mistakes, big, big... Media gaffes in this year he has the same put again once again put together a team that kind of can't finish it can't finish out a
01 Jake: Dallas like team a What's the other team that always oh like a? North Turner charges charges type team who cannot finish And I think the owner, after giving him five years, I think that's generous and fair. Well, I think it's generous and fair. And I think that, but he was a lame duck. Like, this is his lame duck year. You bring in a new GM. Every new GM wants a new head coach because they want to create it in their own image. They want their guy. They want their guy. So the only way that he could have been successful was to... was to do great. And again, I think that Ed Zic did everything in his power to build a team for the future, not a team for this year. So I think the cards are kind of stacked against him. It's like we're gonna build a team for for not this year, I said this back in the draft, nothing I saw them do was a this year type of thing. It just so happened we started to win a few. And then it became like, ooh, we could actually do something. Justin: But no one predicted that we were winning. No every thought we were terrible. That's the happiest part is that they started off pretty well. But with all that says well, as they started out at five and four, they still have not won two games in a row. So that's a bad job, like being able to keep momentum. going and flowing. But here's the thing. I do think I will not happen. Jake: This is why he kills me. Because why I do think he's going to get fired. And I think there's every reason to fire him. I believe that he is a coach that will go somewhere else. And will be. I never thought that about Mangini. I never thought that Mangini would go somewhere else and be great. Or Herman would go somewhere else and be great. Actually think that that that this guy could go somewhere. Yeah, I think he I think he could go He'll take a year off someone will probably hire him right off Justin: No, what he'll do is he'll get hired as defensive coordinator immediately that for a team that has a bad defense Turn that defense around that one year and then he'll get his next head coaching job after that. That's usually what happens, right? Jake: I don't know. I think he could actually get a straight-up job We'll see. But that's sort of the bummer of it. It's like I see his potential and I could see us playing against him some year and or him going and doing something great and we'll be like, oh, I'll let that guy go. But I don't think he could get there just by treading water at the jets. So. Justin: It's kind of bittersweet. I think he's gonna get fired. I think he kind of should get fired. We both like him though. Jake: But I yeah, I like him and I don't really want him to get fired. I I kind of want you know, but I can't see anything. I can't point anything and go well here's why he shouldn't. He put together a great defense this year who couldn't keep great. He took a rookie quarterback and turned him into something. No, he didn't. He didn't have the offensive coordinator. No, he actually had a great offensive coordinator. Justin: It's just not in the cards. It just looks like a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a right change Jake: But that means Marty's gone, that means everybody's gone, that's the way it is Justin: Well, it gets to pick his guy and then his guy gets to look at the staff and say do I want to keep these guys around or not?
05 Justin: Right. Well, it's also that it really depends, you know, it depends what coaching tree he chooses from, maybe you know, morning wag, morning wag's not like tied to Rex the way like Dennis Thurman is. Dennis Thurman's gone, if Rex is gone, right? So, you know, it's one of those things. If, if he brings in a guy who is like a West Coast offense type head coach though, right? Um, I'm going to throw the name in. John Gruden, but he's not he's not gonna coach the Jets But like if you hired a John Gruden right Marty morning way is not going anywhere They work together perfectly there from the same tree right so we have so we have plenty time now see this Rex might stay who knows yeah, no I just it just looks like he's gone right now Jake: It's well here's the thing the only way I think he says is he throws two games two games together comes out with an eight and eight season And then, but then, but that's the thing. Then everybody says to him, listen, you took a pile of shit that someone gave you and made, made your meal and you turned it into an eight and eight season and no one thought they were going to get there. Again, if you hadn't had the point of being the ability to win out and get in the playoffs, Justin: I think you'd be better shaped than actually having the chance to do that. Well, what you want to do is do what the guy on the Jaguars, what Gus Bradley is doing is like. Start off on eight, but then rip off right, you know Yeah, go on a tear and like then finish eight and eight but start off two and six because then they think you're gonna Jake: Get this is not true at all and it's absolutely one of the biggest momentum from season to season Justin: It's bullshit because all winners would then win the next year right? Yeah, every single year or they would be good and they sometimes they most of time come out and are terrible Alright, so let's get to get to them pick them You wanna do the pick up? Oh, let's do the Jet Kingdom Fantasy League. So... Congratulations. You are in the finals. Ugh, I know. I am in the... whatever round. So you were winning the first week, but then you got crushed the second week. Oh, my gosh. That was crazy. Dominated. You know what happened? Jake: Um... Justin: The Denver offense decided to not play. And that really, really hurt. Jake: So my story was, the story, and I know this is gonna feel sad for you because I know in your other league the actual opposite didn't happen for you. But I was going up against a guy, I was down by a point, down by a point, last game. you and we each had one player to play. He had Matthew Stafford, I had Calvin Johnson. And I needed, pretty much, it's very hard to do, and this isn't a PPR league, so it's very hard to do this in a non-PPR league, which I need the receiver to do much better than, or do a point better than the quarterback. His own quarterback. Than his own quarterback. And you either get someone gets hurt and he gets pulled off, or he does what Matthew Stafford did, which is throw three picks. And he threw the last one in the last second of the game,
01 Jake: and without that negative two points, I wouldn't have won. So like, I squeaked it out. You did. I'm now up against, so for playing for the number one... For the championship your championship from last year It is me and bill. Yep playing straight up. It has me in it There's some crazy advantage right now, which I don't get does he just not have a good team or no, it just beat me I think his team is pretty good. Okay. I mean he has me like a 118 him at 87 Two weeks again. Tough one because I have players who might not play that second week, so I've already started to make moves and get players off the waivers. So we shall see. Maybe we'll keep the championship here in the podcasting studio. Justin: I'm in the consolation bracket. Again, Eric Nord. Yes. All right, Eric. I'll take you down bitch. You're in two consolations, but you're in a whole series of consolations. Alright. Last week was brutal. I don't even want to relive it. Alright, so let's not relive it. Let's talk about how you did in pick dumb. Oh no. Oh I had to have done bad. You know what, I decided I have a new strategy this week. You're gonna not pick. Nope. I'm picking. . All favorites. I'm just going down the line. Okay. I didn't even look at the games. I just said I'm picking every favorite. Excellent Jake: All right. Care what the lines are. I went nine and you went seven. My goal now because I realized we're going through the playoffs. We have to go all the way through the Super Bowl So it's not over yet, but you want to get to 500. Yeah, I want to get to 500. I don't think I have a chance So I think I'm off by a bit because the guy who's leading is 124. He's doing really great, so I can't catch up there. But I might be able to bump up some of these clowns. Well, let's get into the games. Justin: Let's do it. Alright, so let's start off one o'clock Sunday. No Thursday game this week. I'm actually kind of happy about that. What Saturday games? Weird. NFL did away with them, apparently. I think because they blew them all on the Thursday nights. Yeah, they did. Which sucks because these Thursday nights are... shit anyway, so it's been like two good ones yeah, all right, so Cincinnati hosting Minnesota, Cincinnati giving seven and a half coming off a bad loss in Pittsburgh, Minnesota coming off a big win I like that to flip so again. I'm picking all favorites. So Cincinnati giving seven and a half I think since then needs this game a lot. I think since then he's gonna win I'm gonna just talk myself into all the favorites cuz I don't look at any of these So Kansas City is hosting the Colts and the city favored by six and a half They put up some ungodly numbers the last two weeks, but you know who's sliding. You know what the team is sliding serious points Serious yeah, they're like in the 40s and 50s the last two weeks So I mean Kansas City giving six and a half at home. I do think that that is a good pick All right, st. Louis is hosting Tampa st. Louis favored by five and a half. Give me st. Louis Jake: This one I think is too much I think Tampa is playing for that kind of like next year playing hard
04 Justin: I'm not sure what st. Louis is playing for at this point. I'm gonna take Tampa st. Louis always plays hard because they've A play hard coach. Dallas is favored on the road in Washington. Dallas by two and a half. This is one where I wish I could just flip this to Washington. I'm not going to stick with Dallas, even though I don't know. Dallas just they're going to romeo it. Jake: You know what's terrible? You know what a terrible team is? Washington. You know, what's it worse than Washington? Dallas in December? Dallas in December? That was one of your texts was we were complaining about Gino and you're like at least he's not Romo Justin: Yeah, c Ss english gives you all this hope. He's like so good. Yeah, I was so terrible. It's just like fuck He's so terrible. He's so fucking terrible. That's stupid shit. Gino is terrible. Gino's really bad. He's bad. To taking Dallas I'm taking the Redskins. Okay. Sorry the Washington football Washington football team Carolina is hosting New Orleans in the best one o'clock game I think New Orleans on the road did not look so good last week Carolina at home looked okay last week to me I mean, I don't know their offense isn't very good. They're given three Um, I'll take Carolina I guess because I'm taking all the favorites. Why not? Yeah, I like Carolina to win this one Saints are not very good on the road I'll go wins are starting to look worse and worse and they're they're the ones that I think you know Jake: They're looking at the outdoor stadium this year going off. Fuck if we actually make it they can't win anywhere though Justin: They lose on the road everywhere. Yeah, like Seattle if they just lock that in They're playing their last two games of the year at home. Yep. They just don't have to leave. No. Because you know they're not losing these two games. No, and they're going to play hard. They're just going to play. Because they have one of those coaches. And they want to get that home field, because they know if they get it. That's it. That's it. They're in the Super Bowl. In the Super Bowl. I mean, that's almost true. Russell Wilson has never lost a game at home. Jake: That's not to say it can't happen, but the odds makers will be having a field day with that shit when it goes in. Justin: They're pretty much... If they are home field, they've got it. Last week I went was it last week? Jake: Yes. What? Yes. Last week I went to the Giants Seahawks. Seahawks live. Yes. Why? Because of Seahawks. Justin: They're a tough team, aren't they? They are tough. They are. They shut out the Giants. Jake: They couldn't even let the Giants score. They wouldn't let them score. Eli's terrible. Eli actually has more picks than then. Yes, he does. It's all I'm rooting for now is not as a tool to take cuz I have that back. Oh, yeah Justin: Are you I know you like three years ago you I know All right, Tennessee is going to Jacksonville. This is one I wish I could change Tennessee's favor by five I don't get it, but I'll take them. I guess they shouldn't be favored by five Jake: Jacksonville's playing just as good as they are. Yeah, but Jacksonville's not a good team. You're playing very hard They can play all the harder they want. I see Tennessee winning. All right
00 Justin: Last one o'clock Denver in Houston Denver favored ten and a half. Give me Denver Even if I wasn't picking off a yeah, that's a tough one does ever have a lot to play for yeah No rest. They're tied. They're tied with Kansas City right now. I mean they hold the tiebreaker, but they have the same record Lost last week you think they're gonna lose two weeks in a row. Yeah, but I don't know if I gonna win by ten and a half Houston's terrible. I'll take Denver Wade Phillips Wade Phillips two words Alright, Detroit is hosting the Giants man. Detroit blew it They really really blew it but they're favored by nine against the Giants. I'll take Detroit Giants are gonna be able to stop Detroit In Detroit, they're not able to stop them at all. It's good week to have good week to have Calvin Johnson Jake: I don't know. I cannot see I just can't see them getting blown out I just they they're terrible. They might just shut down. You know what? I'm flipping it should shut it down Justin: Shut you lie down to just preserve them off the field. I'll take I'll take Detroit Seattle is that all being Arizona Seattle favored by ten and a half That's a lot of points. I told you Arizona was good. Jake: Yeah. Justin: They have a really good record. I don't think they can make the playoffs though in the NFC. They would and they'd be one of the better teams in the NFC. That's a real tough division man. They're gonna get crushed. Seattle's gonna put one up on them. Green Bay hosting Pittsburgh. No line. That's Roger's line. Roger's line. I think he's gonna play. He's practicing and stuff. I'm gonna pick Green Bay at home. Jake: Is Pittsburgh still playing for something? No. They're out. Green Bay is though. They have to win to get in. Definitely take Green Bay then. Justin: Yeah, I mean I think Pittsburgh's out. I mean they're six and eight just like us, but I'm pretty sure they're out I don't think they're out. I haven't seen them in any scenario. Yeah I mean, I think Baltimore is the team And then you don't want to play them boy. I hope I do. I hope it's Baltimore Jake: I don't want to be playing Baltimore. I don't care if Baltimore goes in and like beats the Patriots again Justin: You don't want to play them at all in the playoffs. No, um Alright, San Diego's hosting Oakland. Oakland's terrible. San Diego's playing. They're seven and seven. They're still in the hunt. Favorite by ten, I like them. Too many points. Give me Oakland. Oakland's awful. Yeah, too many points. Didn't we beat them by ten? Too many points. That's the barometer. Didn't we beat them by ten? Alright, skipping ahead to 830. This should be a fun as hell game. 830. Yeah, Sunday night. 830 oh, yes, yes. Ah, I win. Yes you win you actually do yeah you fool me All right, so Philly is hosting Chicago both these teams could score at will two very good offensive teams I really enjoy watching Chicago. They're fun to watch really. Yeah, they have a really great offense I mean, they are really good. They have weapons everywhere. They throw the ball all over the place.
00 Justin: And that's why they're fun to watch because high scoring games just fun. Philly's favorite by three, the standard. I'll just take Philly. I will take Philadelphia as well. By the way, we should be cheering for. I think we need to root for Dallas to win. So that the last game of the year would be Dallas Philly and that would be for the playoffs And we get to watch Dallas for like a third straight year playing one of these like make or break playoff games It was okay. Just fun. All right, and then the last game Monday night Which I think this is the last Monday Night game, right? They don't usually do a Monday Night in week 17. No, they don't. And this is great because it's just a laugher. It's a shitter. Jake: They've had like two good ones this year. Justin: Last week they had a good one. Last week and the week before. They had the Seattle Carolina game. And they just had the Detroit. Baltimore game which yep, and they had a carrot dad a Carolina Patriots game. I had a good one So maybe that's three or four ones But San Francisco hosting Atlanta when you start the season you think this is a good game. Oh, yeah This is right or breaking a good game, right? Sam Francisco by 13. It's too many points. Give me San Francisco All right. Let's move on to the to the games that matter the AFC East So Miami was still a shot Miami with a shot at Buffalo Buffalo is actually getting three points at home because they, EJ Manuel not playing. Right. He's injured. He's been injured half this season. Yeah, so he's injured and Stevie Johnson not playing either. So it's that backup guy, not the guy who... Actually played pretty well as a backup. Yeah, I don't know can't remember his name anyway Miami's gonna win this game 24 13. I don't think so. Miami's offense is pretty darn good Jake: I think they first of all I cannot pick them. I do not want them to win I don't want them to win at all Justin: I don't know when so that they need to win against us so that we can then crush their souls I don't want that Jets game to really mean something like winning in losing that to sit next to my wife went Jake: Oh, no, I don't that's just awful. The whole thing is gonna be terrible. It's just awful. I'm picking I would leave Justin: I fire you I was what I will give you the keys to my apartment. I'm gonna go sit in my I will Jake: I am going I don't think I just feel like this is one of those games Buffalo terrible team But they'll stand up to be They're in rival in Buffalo. Justin: They play very well at home. 20- I just don't see it. 2023 Buffalo. So 2320 Buffalo? Yes. You always say these backwards. Because I'm looking at the way they've written. Yeah, whatever. 2320 Buffalo. All right. New England in Baltimore. Baltimore is hot as hell right now. Baltimore knows how to beat New England. They beat them all the time. They beat them in the playoffs. They beat them everywhere. And they're home and they got a win. And- They've got, I mean, they've got a really...
01 Justin: No, they're favored. Oh, the favored. Yeah, Baltimore's favored. Jake: Are you sure they're favored over here too? Yeah. Justin: Okay. I was looking at that. I was making sure. Oh yeah, they're favored. They should be. New England's decimated with injuries. Baltimore is surging and healthy and getting healthier. their quarterback's playing well. I mean, Flacco's is good of cold weather quarterback as there is in the league. Yeah, it's huge. He throws, he's got big arm throws, these great spirals and everything. So I like Baltimore. We know how tough they are at home. 2320. I mean, it's a tough one because New England lost last week and they very rarely lose two in a row and they really want to get to that number two spot and right. And right now, I think they're in the two spot. But if they lose, you know, they can really dip down into like three or four weird thing if Buffalo wins out Jake: They can actually talk to my vision. Yeah, because Baltimore you said Buffalo I'm sorry if Baltimore wins out they can take the division if they say it's an adi loses They have to play since then next week. Oh Justin: There are eight and Addie's nine and Five is how you're saying that. Oh, interesting. Jake: Yeah, so it's like they really need to win. They need to win. Well, they need to win. And they really need to win. But this is like... You're wingling doesn't need to win. Justin: They clinch the playoffs, but they really want the seeding. Right. Whatever. I like Baltimore 2320. Jake: I like Baltimore too. For every reason you say, they, they're, I mean, not that they were in a powerhouse last week, but they have that, you know, we'll get it done type of mentality. They just win. Don't think they'll go very far in the playoffs. I feel like they're one and done They squeak these games. Yeah, they're not that team they were last year They can't run. I mean, they're running game is terrible They've got their big down-the-field stuff. Their defense is better, but it's not it's not that defense I I feel like they're gonna meet up with a really great team and get crushed But anyway 24 27 24 Baltimore. So we both have my field goal. Justin: All right. And then the, uh, the game of the, um, of the afternoon in New Jersey, Jake: the game of the afternoon, New Jersey, it's supposed to be 66, 66. And maybe awesome. Justin: I don't care. 66 is great. I don't have to bundle up and take all these layers of shit with me. I could just. Where I think the daughter wants to come really she's gonna take Elijah's seat. She want well why she doesn't fucking help Elijah whatever she wanted to come to game. I was like, I may be there. Let's do it ever All right, so be there training though. Is that good? Whatever put under a thing So yeah, it's really gonna range you want Cleveland I like Cleveland. I wish we were playing Brandon Weeden, but I think we're gonna get Jason Campbell. He's the one who's been playing. But he's played terrible last couple weeks. Yeah, but he's capable. I don't know. I don't think either of these teams are gonna score. They do have...
02 Justin: Josh Gordon though who's gonna probably run amok right the key is just not letting them score touchdown Right like let him get his 200 yards inside the 20s Whatever tackle him at the tent well Jake: We do have the thing of where we do hurt one player every game can we hurt him? Justin: Yes, I'm saying maybe just hurt him because they can't run and I mean that I mean, whatever their their offense is throw it to Josh Gordon. We just don't have anyone to cover. Jake: I think isn't their best defensive player out with Joe Hayden? Yeah, I'll throw last week. Justin: You've heard last week. And I don't think it will matter. There's no one for him to cover anyway. Who's he going to cover homes? OK, so he'll have one catch instead of three. Like, what's the difference? What's the key to the castle to win this game? Jake: So what do we want to win these games? Are you one of those fans? Justin: You're one of those fans who doesn't want us to win. At this point when you're out of the playoffs, I mean, I will sit there and root my ass off for them to win. But you'll be happy if they don't. I will be indifferent if they win or lose. But is it like a two or three spot difference in the draft? It means it can mean, you know... It can mean a player that you need or sliding ahead of. Jake: But you can pick a, you can pick, you can pick a head of someone and still make the mistake and have the guy who you could have picked. But you could slide ahead of a team who's going to draft at the same position as you. Justin: You know what I mean? Like, like you could just, you could miss on a, like, I feel like we're going to draft a receiver, honestly. So you can maybe be behind or ahead of a team. Yeah, the last time you drafted a receiver, the guy who drafted three spots behind us is 10 times better. Yeah, but I'm talking first round. here. I'm not talking second round picks. Alright. First round picks are more short things than second round picks. You're throwing darts at a board at that point. You're already like whatever. So the key to the castle in this game, get on the field, play, kick the ball, kick field goals, 9-6, jets. Terrible. It's gonna be awful. It's gonna be like. that last year game against Arizona. Do you remember that game how bad it was? Just a terrible game. Well, neither team could score. Jake: No one cares. No one cared. Well, just so here's what I this is when this season turns into my pre-preseason. So now I'm watching guys to be like, is this a guy that we need to replace? I mean, there's some guys I already know I want you off my team. I want San Antonio homes off my fucking team forever, forever. Both those guys, you're like, are you the guy who we need to keep around and put something with you? You know, it's the whole weapons versus whatever. So I'm looking at Gino and I'm like, are we trying to build around you for next year or are we saying one year you're good, we're going to draft someone else, get someone top or… Justin: I mean, do you really think we need these last two games to tell us anything about Gino? Yeah. I think we know what we know about Gino. What happens if he has two really good games? then he has two really good games. I mean, what's the difference? He had a really good game in week three. Jake: Like, so why? But when you look at it over a season, you see, did he get better?
02 Jake: If the game against the Dolphins, he has an incredible game. We win the game. He looks really good against a team that needs to win. It won't matter a leg. Then you go, no. Then you say, well, maybe there's something there. For the next two weeks, he throws three picks each game and two... Justin: Whatever he's played in 14 games. He's thrown a pick in 12 of them. He's gonna throw a pick. It's like you I know it's gonna happen. The only way he doesn't throw a pick is if he doesn't throw the ball All right. Look at that Carolina game It looked like he was playing a clean game and then all of a sudden pick six like sky can't get out of his own way No For all you Sanchez fucking haters out there here. Here's what you get. Enjoy it. Yeah, enjoy this Cuz he was so bad. I know it was terrible. He was pretty bad. Yeah, this is way worse Jake: This is worse. No way. It's actually way worse. Same record same bullshit I'm sure if we look at the end of the year the stats, it's the same stats It's a little bit worse. He's awful. I bet you, let's watch. The end of the year stats will compare last year's Sanchez to this year's Gino. I bet you they're very comparable. In terms of picks and touchdowns, I bet you it is. Yeah. I bet you it's more sacks. I think Sanchez was smart to get out of the way. I don't think. You just sack the shit out of it. Yeah, compare them. Anyway, we gotta go. I'm gonna look at them. I'm gonna look at them. 14, 13. Jets to win. I still want this team to win. I don't I rather go eight and eight. Sorry. I like to win I don't like to go. I don't like to be a fucking shitbag team. So Jets, Jets, Jets. Let's go.
