00:19 Jake: Welcome to the JKino Podcast, the longest running New York Jets podcast ever period end of story. I'm Jake, joining me live, live, recorded in the cloud from the new studio with wonderful views of the New York City skyline. It's Justin. Justin, how are you doing today? Justin: I'm doing great. You're great. I'm great. Do you know I am great? Because the Jets are 2 and 2. Gents are two and two. My Yankees is playoffs like made it through the gauntlet of the wild card game Which is insane and intense and you can hear my voice is suffering still two days later. I'm still a little scratchy from Sunday Yeah, see that's sad Why meaningless? meaningless yelling no you've turned into a terrible fan like you used to be Jake: actually like a real fan of the games now you're kind of like one of those pseudo fans who sits on your hands and uh don't sit on my hands until it gets cold in order to in order to offset your terrible fanness i need to be even louder Justin: yeah but you hit me with things which is not appreciated oh yeah Jake: if you don't stand up i hit you with my daughter i was grabbing her by the arm he's pulling her up like get up That's the way it's gotta go in in 220a. Justin: You were... You... I almost didn't make it into the gate. Jake: Well you knew it third at third. Oh, you wanna tell that story? It's not a good story for you. Justin: It's an old school Justin story. I almost didn't make it past the gate. I know. Do you want to tell it? Yeah, I mean, well, this was week four, but the second home game. Yes. And week three, the first home game, the Jets gave out flags and these flags were on these plastic sticks that, you know, I guess you would call it a flagpole or whatever you would call it. Okay, yes, whatever. So we all saw them. We are waving our flags. So your daughter wanted to bring the flag from the first game into the second game. See, makes makes sense. They gave it out at the game and it's a jet flag and she wanted to wave it around just like a terrible towel. This is just a Jets flag. Jake: And also they gave out towels as we entered in too. Justin: Yeah. Anyway, the security lady was like, you can't bring that in here. And she's like, your daughter sticking up for herself is like, yeah, but you gave it out last week. And she's like... You can't give it. And they didn't give it out as we left. They gave it out as we came in. As we came in. Because that's what they have. To have in the stadium, to use.
03:02 Justin: Sometimes they give it to you things as you leave. Right, no. Like, they give you like. Yeah, they give you Jets cards. Like player cards. Or like a poster. Yeah, got my Robbie Anderson Jets rookie card from last year. Sell that. So, you know, the woman's like, where's your father? And I'm not her father, but I kind of took over at that moment. I was like, no, no. You gave these out last week at the gate to bring into the game. It's something you gave us. We're bringing it in. She's like, you can't. I'm like, no, we are. That's it. Enough said. We're bringing it in. Jake: This was still fine. Everything so far is still fine with this story. Justin: And then, and then, and then, I'm going to forget a lot of the particulars. She's like, let me ask my supervisor and it's like, okay Jake: I'm sure served at the tailgate. I just wanted to let that go and and buddy Mary's as I remember Yeah, both of those things were service. I think I did not for taking both of them, but I think somebody else did Justin: Like alright fine. Go ask supervisor. Whatever. So this dude It was two levels of dudes. Yeah, there was two levels of dudes. One dude comes over, he's like, yeah, we gave it out last week, I'm not sure. I guess, I don't know, let me go ask the other supervisor. He made a committee. So other supervisor's wearing a suit, so you know he's important. He's not wearing a security shirt. No. He's wearing suit. Probably pack him. Probably. So he's like, I don't even know, did he give the okay? He was the one who's like, yeah, sure, whatever, right? He totally gave the... Jake: I don't give a flying fuck. He's like, yeah, that's fine. And he just kind of shrugged it off. But she was over there next to him, like, because now we come into the stadium. Right. And she's over there and she's now like, she has it in her hand or someone else has it. They have it. and this is where he goes wrong because you walked up and said fine and then grabbed it out of their hand and started walking away at which point all of them went you know and he basically then said wait sir sir this is the top guy and it had you come back and then he did the look you in the eye to make sure you are not completely drunk You then apologized. You're like, I'm sorry, sorry. Try to shake his hand, whatever. He gave you the up and down, and then he let you into the stadium. Justin: I believe I tapped him on the shoulder thanking him, and he said, don't touch me. And that's what kind of set me off, not the like... And that's what made me stand there beyond when I probably should have and said, No, you shouldn't have gone up and grabbed it out of their hands. Well, yeah. Because you just went up and grabbed it. Well, they took it out of your, they took it out of your daughter's hands. Fine. Their job is to protect everybody in the stadium. With the thing that they gave out the week before. I understand. But the point is, until they give it back to you. You can't go grab it out of their hand. They said it was okay, so I grabbed it. Yeah, no, it's wrong. I grabbed it. It's wrong. Wrongly. Okay, there we go. But I still grabbed it.
06:00 Justin: And then the guy was like... I said, thank you, I appreciate it. And gave him a tap on the shoulder. This is after he pulled you back because you had grabbed it and walked away. Yes. And he was pissed. Right? And I said, I'm sorry? Right? I thank you and I tapped him on the shoulder and he said, don't touch me. To which I said, ooh, fine, I'm thanking you still. Shake hands? And he was just like, fuck off. Chest bump? And he was like, fuck off. And I'm like, fine, fuck you. I'm going to watch football. You stand outside. douchebag. So please hopefully they're not podcast listeners but definitely not because they're not Jake: people. They were wrong and he was right and he should have grabbed it and that's it like that's Justin: that's just that's it. But almost almost not really you think like I think you think I was you were very close. You think I was like on this edge I know where the edge is and I don't think Jake: I was that close to it. You don't know where the edge is because Here's the edge. The edge was not going up and grabbing it out of their hands. Yeah, that was a security. That's the edge. So you already jumped off the edge. Justin: I wouldn't have grabbed it out of their hands if they would. Doesn't matter. Had they said, you cannot take this in, I would have not grabbed it out of their hands. Right. But since they said yes, that's fine. And they weren't like. Jake: Here you go, sir. Justin: All right, well, I would have went to I would have went to reds. We'll be back next week With the Reds on the on there one of their those that's true Jake: You get those bosses another another episode of checking them in the in the upper All right, mark that one out. So we played a game and I played my jags my jeds versus my jags. Yeah So, alright, so we have a big agenda today. We actually have a little time, so we're not in a time crunch. I don't think we are. So we can talk about stuff. We can maybe talk about stuff we've forgotten to talk about in the last couple weeks. We then actually came back and during Sunday night football in two different apartments in the same building. I don't think, were you here yet? Justin: Do not. I was not, yeah I was, I was scared. Jake: We had a, we used our communication device, that's not text, but whatever, and we had a thread. You can say Slack out loud. Yeah, and we had a 108 message Slack back and forth. You went at it. Justin: Which now I'm like. I feel like we should just read it. No, it would be too short. You read your part, I read my part. We could reenact it. And it's a special podcast. That's what I mean, like, we could just yell it at each other. Jake: Maybe we'll do that during the bye week. Wait a minute, let's talk about it. Right. All right. So we have the Jags vs Jags. We clearly went to the game. Let's talk about who, although I think my daughter is, like,
09:02 Jake: 3-0 going to, well maybe 4-0 going to Jags. Justin: She kicks the Jags ass. Every time they play the Jags. We've played the jags at home, I think, the last three years, and she's gone to all three, and we've won all three. I always bring- Not hard, by the way, to beat the jags, but we beat the jags. Jake: Well, you predicted them to win, so... Justin: They are the first place jags. They are. They're first place in their division. Jake: Yeah, for not- Just like the Buffalo Bills are first place, these are not the things that are going to continue. So once again, I re-watched the two hour and 44 minute recap. Justin: Not recap, you're out of your mind, but OK. Jake: Well, I'm really interested. I actually see different things again. And if we win, it's not painful. If we lose, it's very painful to watch that much. I usually watch the recap. Justin: I see someone actually rely on you for... I remember a few things, but I don't exactly remember when they happened and I'm interested in... Jake: So let's talk about... We're gonna add in our new segment, who impressed and who depressed. This is not our new segment. It is. Well, but now it's official. We're gonna make our play of the game, our night of the game, make our injuries. We gotta lower the shades and see. Yeah, we sure do. You hear it. Jesus. It's right in your eyes. I'll keep talking. We'll talk around the kingdom. We'll go... We'll make our jet kingdom pick them. We'll make our throne picks. And we'll pick our keys to the castle. the Justin: You know, I-I think the Jags are actually halfway decent. I think the Jets played a really good game. They-they played really well on defense, the Jags. They-they stopped the pass completely. And I don't know if that's really that hard to do now that Allen Robinson's not on the field for the Jags. So, I mean, their leading receiver was for net. Like, it wasn't their-it wasn't a receiver. Right. It was a running back. in terms of weaponry, probably comparable to the Jets in terms of their wide receiver talent. I guess Alan Hearns would be the best of the bunch if you were to take all of them and throw them out there and play schoolyard football. You'd be like, all right, I guess I'll take Alan Hearns first. So, I guess I'll take Alan Hearns first. Is he that much better than like curse or Robby Anderson? I don't know. Well, he's definitely better than Rob Anderson. Maybe I mean they're basically Jake: I mean he's got one move. It just happens that McCown can actually do this throw, but he's got one move Justin: Hey, he goes deep. Go! Yeah, and beat him, but you know, they're they're I think their defense is good and I think that we held up to it. We hit on a couple big plays. I think that's going to have to be the way that we actually score. Like sustained drive isn't necessarily going to be our thing this year.
12:01 Justin: But all in all, I think they overcame a turnover deficit to win a game, which is pretty good. and they fought real hard. They played hard. I liked what I saw. Like they really are trying. And at home, what you don't really see on TV, like during those TV timeouts when the defense is getting ready and on the field, but like the game hasn't yet started, they play music and they're all dancing and jumping around and getting the crowd into it. They like each other. STEVEN It's cool. Jake: Yeah, I will say that's a, you know, if we're doing the Todd Bowles, you know, hot seat thing, you know, this team who is, was predicted to win zero games. Justin: Predicted to be like one of the worst teams ever. Like literally ever, ever put together. Jake: And it's tough and I know it's like, I think, I watch these games, I watch the Jags game, I was there. I rewatched it and rewatching I realized that in some ways we are, we're just playing up to the ability of the team we're playing. Because if you think about, again, I don't want to be the downer in this, but you think about the quarterbacks we've gone against, the other events like what would be a, you know, a mobile quarterback who can move around the pocket and escape and make plays. We lose. We go against a good quarterback, we knows a good quarterback, and we get demolished. We then go against, against a quarterback who barely can actually complete aiasco pass, we win. And if you look at Blake Boralz's numbers and he rewatch that game, he is terrible. Yeah, Blake Boralz is bad. Terrible. They've been talking about benching him all season. That was what I was screaming atop my lungs because I always try to come up with something to like taunt the... quarterback with that he can't hear but I love doing it. I'm like, they were gonna Justin: bench you. Like he's 15 for 35. Bad. He's not good. 15 for 35. Not good. That's Third overall, I think they picked up and remember they had to go ahead touchdown Jake: I Justin: a main blocker on a screenplay. I hear you. It was 10 years down. 10 years down. Jake: Now he didn't actually have to touch him because Fernet would have gone right through the guy anyway. He's actually a good player. I just, I'm a little bit like, I'm so glad this team playing hard, but I'm very, very... Cognizant of the fact that we're playing bad teams or at least teams at the point where they're the worst Justin: Yeah, we had trouble with Tarot Taylor. He's tricky, but the Bills Hey, they're three and one and they just beat Atlanta right on the road
15:00 Jake: Well, anything that's pretty good like okay, then it's coming to our house Justin: Maybe we have even a moat shot he played the Bills kind of tough. Yep the Raiders With their car, that's a good team. The turnovers and whatever, and if it weren't for the turnover, the guy that we have, the guy that we cut, cut. Which is good. You should be... Listen, you don't perform, you're cut, dude. Later. Guys are playing well and they're getting playing time. Like, Kony Ili, who's hurt, unfortunately, but he had a great game. No, he did. Jake: -,, Like, if you look at the score again, and I went through it, and I was like, opportunities, we're playing a very conservative defense, I mean, a very conservative offense. There's so many times I'm looking at it, and like, that time against the offense, we were down, way down there, it's like, take a, they had a shot, they could have taken the shot at the end, so they don't, they come up with, they come up to, they get that turnover, they're down there, and instead of like... Again, just kind of being aggressive on the offense, and I know it's the dink and dunk West Coast, but like be aggressive, and they don't, and then they end up like taking a field goal. That game should have been 34-10 is where the game should have been. not a mistake and getting up, you know, pull a thing where, you know, he throws a backward pass and that's that happens once in a while. He did end up throwing a pick later, the guy fell and he threw the pick. So, I don't know. I mean, I love, and I know this is part of our debate, at the game, I'm always excited for them to win. But then when I look at it afterwards, I'm like, what are we proving? We're just proving we're beating up, we're beating up some pretty bad teams, and this is going to be the ultimate beat of the bad team game, right? I don't think we're proving we're a good team. I just think we're proving that we can beat bad teams. That's fine I don't know if it's fine. Is it fine to go eight and eight this season? Like that's what's not fine Justin: I just to kind of prove and you can't really You can't have it both ways and also I think if you look at the schedule After this game, it's not gonna be fun. Like the fun is gonna be had this game against Cleveland will probably win because they're bad. Their quarterback's really bad. They're bad. Rookie, not good. Never was gonna be good, so I don't know why, whatever. Doesn't matter. And, I mean, they're probably gonna beat the Lions. Jake: My whole feeling about this, and I'll say it to Unblue in the Fates, is I think we're doing the Fitzpatrick mistake again. We're starting a guy who's not the long-term answer.
18:01 Jake: We are... we're gonna watch him outperform himself. Right now, his passer... his completion ratio for this season? 70.1. I know what he's doing. Justin: Yeah, what's his... what's his best ever in the history of him ever playing? It's like 60 or something. Yeah, he's outperforming himself. That's good. Maybe we have a good system in place. But that's what Fitz did. And then we kept him. But this guy's 38. Fitz was not 38. But Fitz was 35. Also, Fitz was from the get. Fitz was signed as a backup. He was too. No, he was not. It was an open competition. Known to all. Stop that. Jake: This guy was an open competition when you start one quarter of one preseason game. They started the first quarter of the first place and they let the other guys go and they try to let them win Justin: They tried they sure thought you wanted by default Well, what does that say about the other guys agree? I agree Doesn't it say they suck and let's play them why because then we'll lose more. Yeah, I don't know dude Jake: So again, it's hard to it's hard to have this argument of like if we're trying to lose most games Justin: We're this guy here's the thing. He's the rest of the team needs for the quarterback to be adequate because they need to grow and develop as well. All these young guys we have playing all over the place can't, like the defense can't be on the field 40 minutes a game. That's not good for them. That's true. They're not learning anything doing that. They're just getting tired. And the rest of the offense, they need to learn the offense. It is a new offense. You can't have a guy out there who doesn't even know how to call a play. So at least have a competent dude out there that makes the offensive linemen feel good after they get a bullshit hold call and then go right back down the field to score a touchdown. Leadership ability. Let the team gel together. there. They're not gonna be like, oh well, McCown's the answer if they go like 8 and 8. They're not even gonna go 8 and 8. They're gonna go 4 and 12. Jake: They did that before. They did that before. They thought that they were the answer. Justin: But you know what the difference was? Not going 4 and 12. You know what the difference was? Dude, we're gonna go 3 and 2. Here's the big difference. The team that Fitz played on, which was just last year. Yeah, and two years ago. Completely different team. veteran team built to win, not built to rebuild. This is a rebuild and they're rebuilding in a good way. They're putting in different systems, they're putting players in different positions. You don't have a Brandon Marshall, you don't have an Eric Decker, you don't have a man gold to answer to where you're like. Oh, we're really fucking with this guy at the end of his career. Like he gave us this all and now we're like, Deep Rick. Fucking him. Well, yeah, Deep Rick retired on his own. That was the year before? I mean, they did a good job. None of the guys that have gone that they cut or traded or anything. We've we've made out on the good on all of them. Every single one.
21:02 Jake: We didn't make a mistake at all. Tommy Wilhanin was on the other team. I didn't notice that. Justin: Got a pass and I was like, oh yeah, Tommy Wilhanin. But we did not make a mistake. Having man gold, cutting man gold, the right move. Trading Sheldon Richardson for cursing a second round pick when he was gonna leave anyway, the right move. I'm doing shit in Seattle anyway. Rebus not in the league. Uh... Brandon Marshall? Owen Ford Brandon Marshall on that explosive fucking Giants offense? Prior technique. Prior not playing. David Harris played three snaps for the Pats. Like, not a thing. We'll see if he plays tonight. Jake: I'm not... Listen, I'm not arguing with you and I will not argue that the GM has done a good job. I just don't know what this season is because if it's not... It's a rebuilding season. Okay, it's a rebuilding season with not the quarterback of the future. Justin: That's right. That's just... But that's okay. Why? Because you think it's about the quarterback when it's actually about everybody. So you have it as one player being the whole thing. Jake: You've convinced yourself. Like that every stupid fan but you've convinced back that you've that you can win without the good quarterback Justin: But you've convinced yourself that the quarterback of the future is on the roster. No, I Don't know if he's on the roster. He's not on the roster. I don't care He's not on the roster. I know he's not Josh McCown. So I know I know it's not Hackenberg and I know it's not petty I don't know. I have Kim Brooks never started the game. He's never even dressed. It's really bad. It's bad. Well Jake: Bad draft pick. Then it goes back to my thing. We have a GM who's picked two bad quarterbacks. So then he's gonna go... Justin: But you also think that this is like a trend with the Jets? It's not. It's not a trend at all. No, it's Browns. Browns are the number one. Bad picker of quarterbacks. But you'd think this is like this vicious cycle when it's not. It just happened with Fitz, which was an accident, because the guy who was supposed to be the quarterback got punched in the fucking face. If that didn't happen, Fitz wouldn't have been the quarterback. Not in the count. And before that, Sanchez got fucked over because his coach was a dickhead. Right. And before that. Jake: That's a cycle. By the way, that's the definition of a cycle. Justin: Right, so we're breaking the cycle. What's how are you breaking the cycle? We're breaking the cycle by building the rest of the team. You don't have to build, you don't and have to start with the quarterback. Sometimes when you start with the quarterback. the rest of the team can't catch up to it. The best quarterbacks are built through teams that are ready to win anyway. All of them, if you look at the guys who win, if you look at the guys who win, they're plopped into ready-made situations for them. Jake: Sometimes they build around them. Sometimes they give them two weapons. Sometimes they get the weapon and the gun. Like, hello, I'm a name. Justin: Some of the guys who've won the Super Bowl recently and tell me who wasn't plopped into a ready-made situation for them. You can't. The team is there. Jake: But you're picking one team. I'm gonna say like... Justin: Not picking any one team. Jake: But I'm saying all the teams who've won the Super Bowl. No, but won the Super Bowl. I'm not necessarily saying... Yes, the Super Bowl is the ultimate thing.
24:00 Jake: But you could also say, what are the good teams? What are the teams around them? What are the teams that are perennially, you know... Alright, name the perennial team. And Atlanta didn't win the Super Bowl, but Atlanta went and picked a quarterback and then built around him. Name the perennial teams that are good. That's it. Atlanta. But Atlanta is not a perennially good team. Their record in the last, since picking Matt Ryan, has been good. And they got to the season. Justin: They had a four-win season in there. They've missed the playoffs a bunch of times with Matt Ryan. A bunch of times, but they've also made the Super Bowl. All. That's great! They made the Super Bowl last year! That's awesome! You know how about drafting a bunch of young dudes on defense? Oh, by having a quarterback that can play. No, that's not necessarily true, because they've had that quarterback. Yes, and they built around him. They've had him for eight, nine years! And they built around him. Dude, they've had him for like eight or nine years. And they built around him. You're using one use the perennial winners. They're not a perennial winner. They won last year That was nice, but they don't they didn't win like always They're their coach got fired the coach that was there that Drafted that he and Ryan came into the team together fired not there anymore. I understand did the coach that of Baltimore when Flacco same year as Ryan got drafted he's still around right? Because they're like perennial winners but that team's ready to win that team was ready to win when Flacco got there. The Ravens, the Steelers by the way when they drafted Big Ben you know they were ready to win. When Brady came in for the Pats, they were already good. Belichick was already there. They were already ready to win. When Aaron Rodgers came in and started playing for the Packers, he had sat there for three years and watched an already good team go to the NFC Championship game the year before. Eli Manning drafted and sat for very little, half a season. Half a season. Jake: And then went off and won two Super Bowls. That's right. But drafted and they built around him multiple times. They built around Eli Manning about four times now. Justin: Yeah, but they were already ready to win when they drafted him too. But they didn't. They then waited at... What year did they draft him? I don't know. Well, I'm presuming you're looking at things. No, I'm looking at... Because you know they went to the Super Bowl like two years before they drafted Eli. Great! So they were like a good team already, right? If you go to the Super Bowl two years ago, We were a good team, we were a Super Bowl bound team Jake: two years ago and now we're nothing. So you know, your team can be wiped out. Justin: The Giants also not perennial winners, so haven't made them what often years Dalton Stafford Jake: I'm just a mean not perennial winners. No, but I'm talking about teams that built around the quarterbacks and done it successfully But wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, Justin: Shut up. Cincinnati hasn't won a fucking playoff game. They haven. Haven't won a playoff game. They didn't won it last year. They haven't won a game. He didn't play it.
27:04 Justin: No, yeah, you're right. They didn't roll. But did they make the playoffs like they're not perennial winners Because you end up paying these fucking guys and then you can't have the rest of the team to your group to your argument Jake: I will say teams like Houston where they're gonna plop in a guy and they have a good defense around and they have good offense That's gonna work for them and is working for them Dallas was a good team, but that's striking gold. Dak Prescott equals Tom Brady, because in the straight gold somewhere, and something happens, you went so good hurt. Justin: That was a great offensive line, and a number one first round pick. Jake: Running back I was ready to roll. I think you'll throw Carson Wentz into the building around him theory They drafted him high and they're now they're building around him. Yes, and we'll see but we'll see on that That's a we'll see I totally they don't grow in trees. It's the point and I have to have a team You can't I can't just be like all right, but we're gonna here's the thing that comes from good quarterback Justin: Okay, you can't just throw away the entire future because of what future The future of the what? Jake: Of the team? That just... That did so well last year? What's the future of that team? Justin: They just threw it away! They're building right now! I know! Right now today! And I wish I was watching... They started today! Jake: I wish I was watching at least something that could show me that there's the quarterback, which is the most important position. Justin: It's not there, dude. It's not fucking there. Like, you keep wanting this thing that isn't on the roster. I know! But it's not there! So shut up about it and leave it alone! Let the guy who's best for the rest of the team to grow play. Jake: Let him win 6-7-8 games. Justin: Wouldn't it be better for these young guys to win some games than to just go 2-14? No, because that's- yeah, wait, wait. Just to win some games for winning game's sake? Yes, it's good to win. It feels good. It feels good. Great! Feels good. Then you're drafting at 12 again and you're not getting anything of value. Why? When was... Why can't you pick a quarterback at 12? Good ones? Yeah. Why not? Jake: Because our staff that's on our current team can't pick in the second round, can't pick in the fourth round... I'm just saying. Justin: ...and just cast over 20 good quarterbacks. When was Joe Flacco's Super Bowl winning quarterback drafted? Like 18 or something. Right. Why not? When was Aaron Rodgers drafted? Super Bowl winning quarterback? He fell tremendously. So who's to say that's not gonna happen next year when tons of quarterbacks are gonna come out and be drafted in the first round? Jake: I just don't know what the point of sitting here and watching this 38 year old frickin' quarterback this year. Justin: See, you're not getting it. It's not about him. It's about the team. He's what's best for the rest of the guys. At the end of the season, you'll get to see your fucktards play. Great you'll get to see petty play. Maybe he'll suck a little bit. Yeah, then you'll get to see Hackenberg play Maybe he'll suck a little bit. You'll get to see them all suck I can't wait cuz guess what after Cleveland we're losing six in a row and then you'll get to see some fucktards play
30:01 Justin: I think you're underestimating that he's look at the schedule. I think it's the fifth thing Jake: He's gonna outplay look at the schedule. All right. All right, let's get let's go. Let's get hit the play of the game We haven't talked about who impressed and who depressed, but whatever. Let's talk about the play of the game. What's your play of the game? You got to finish up on the game itself. Justin: Jesus Christ. Fuck. That argument was really something, wasn't it? All right. Play of the game. I'm going to pick. I'm going to pick the Blah Power Run. That's a good one. Because it was like. He had a long one the week before I got called back and this one didn't and it was just It's crazy man, and he jumped over that guy and you couldn't you like fell it looked like he got tackled and he didn't Jake: He didn't he just kind of like okey-doked him boy He just jumped and we jumped so high when he landed he then everybody's thought he got touched Justin: I got a man didn't got up ran kind of a lucky lucky frickin play to be a two huge lucky plays that one had a lucky fluky touchdown to they did too. Jake: I would say I'm the the Coney block and an interception because that was like that was they were driving and that would have changed the game if we had scored a touchdown and the side would change the game tremendously. Justin: But we did. I thought we were going to pick the McGuire. run. It's like you were like... It's like you were like Mcguire. Jake: I like Mcguire. I'm so excited. Six round pick. And here it is. It's exactly what they should have done. Pick a guy late. We've been saying this for years and like get talent. Justin: It's exactly what they should have done. It's like they did what they should have done. I'm not about that. But yeah, there's tons of things that are done that are great. I'm not arguing with that. Hey, they did it. But there's something that they've done terrible. You're like, it's the thing you should have done. They should have. They did it. And they did it. it. They did it, they did the thing, and they're playing him. And guess what? When Forte's healthy, he won't be playing. Great. Trade him. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Night of the game? So many. I have one. You're not gonna like it. Mmm, you're not gonna pick the coach. I'm gonna kill you if you pick the coach. No, I'm not. No, they're still making, the coach is still making stupid calls and bad decisions. Good, good, good. Good. I'm glad you're not picking the coach. Uh, Night of the Game. Ah, tough one. Because they won and they played well and... Huh. I think I'm gonna pick, um... I'm gonna pick Josh McCown. Oh, fuck you. He really didn't have that good of a game. You know what though? They won. It's terrible. They won. I'm gonna pick Josh McCown. Jake: He had, which doesn't even go against him that he threw the backward pass. Like it's not, it should. I think it's his fumble. He shows up as a fumble for him. Yeah, it's his fumble. And then. He fumbled three times in this game. Justin: And he got sacked five times. Oh, yeah. That's the, hey, that's a good defense man. Jake: I'm going to give it to the running offensive line because they are opening holes.
33:00 Jake: And we're watching them get open because these guys are zipping through. And that Maguire run. It was just like, not only did he dig some guy, and he's fast, and when he got in the open field, he cooked. But I was thinking, like, last two weeks, we've been picking up some big runs right up the front middle. You can't run up the middle, unless someone's making a hole for you. Again, Jaguars and Dolphins have zero ability. Justin: Jaguars are a good defense. Jake: They are. I think they have better outside than inside, because I feel like we were able just to go straight through them. Not as many penalties either. Good defense though. And that's cool. And then injuries, we lost a guy, dude. Kony Ealy. Was Kony Ealy... He was injured. He was injured, but I don't see him as the... He's definitely injured. Shoulder, questionable. No, we lost a guy for the season. Oh, but we lost Donahue. Justin: Yeah, Donahue. Jake: Linebacker. care. And we've made the switch that he's now a fullback. Justin: Yes, he's number 44 now. Yes. So he doesn't have to report as eligible. He doesn't report as eligible. I always like to report as eligible, though. That's kind of fun. That always throws people off. And by the way, we were playing with a backup right tackle in this game, too. Yeah. Shell didn't dress for the game. So backup right tackle. All that happens online is just hard. Jake: But again, they're making something, I hope that we can sweep the four teams. Justin: That'd be cool. That'd be four wins. Yeah, that'd be kind of fun. Yeah. To sweep them. One of them's playing tonight. Jake: All right, around the kingdom, name awesome stuff that's crazy crazy. Packers just beat up on the Bears on Thursday night, not crazy. Saints. means. Shut out Saints with the terrible defense Justin: Shut out the Dolphins London games are fucking with people because here goes the dolphins always seem to go over there and always seem to get Their ass kicked and here goes Jaguars who just came off from destroying the Ravens They come back they get the teams that decided not to take the bye. I guess the Dolphins got fucked by this really I mean, you should take your buy. Are the Texans for real? I did drop my gun. DeShawn Watson for real? 50 something burger. This is 57 points. Is he for real? I liked him out of college. He was really good in college. You wanted to draft him. I did. Jake: Patriots got beat. They're 2 and 2. I know. Panthers are back? Eh. Vikings and lions kind of just do a little shutout. Bills go into the fucking new Falcons nest. Into the nest. Into the nest, a hornet's nest. All that cheap beer and hot dogs and they win. Here's that teen that was putting up 40 burgers last year now putting up 17. Bills defense for real? I think so. Stee-wars beat the shit out of the ravens. Ravens are terrible. Are the Stee-wars good? I think so. Bangles come back, beat up on the terrible, terrible browns. Yeah, whatever. Bangles are back? Doubt it. Okay.
36:00 Jake: Cowboys and Rams. Rams win against the Cowboys. Look at those Rams. Justin: Girlie and golf real? Well, girlie's definitely real. Golf? Golf might be. Who knows? Hey, he was the number one overall pick. He was the number one overall pick. I still don't think he looks right when I watch him, but I think Wentz looks better. Like eye test wise. Jake: Eagles beat the Chargers. Three-one. The Chargers are pathetic. They're bad. Justin: I have read some things about their home field. Yeah, they can't even fill it. They can't even fill the $27,000. And most of the time, it's with the opposing team's fans. Why is everybody here? Why is everybody going to LA? I don't get the NFL's. It's not the NFL. Why did they want teams in LA? Jake: Remember, that's not the way it happens. The owner says, I want to move my team. And then he puts it up to the other owners. And the other owners say, yes. So it's 31 people making a decision. That's the NFL. No, it's not. It's 31 people. Well, it is. It's the NFL. No, because people think the NFL, they think Roger Goodell is Roger Goodell's football player. No, I'm thinking about like... It's owners. It's 31 people. Justin: I don't get the infatuation with LA. Like, people in LA like college sports. They like college football. They have a lot of sports. They like baseball. They have so much to go with. They love their Lakers. They don't need two teams. Dude, how many times are teams going to go to LA, fail, and then go back to wherever it is they came from, or somewhere else? Jake: No, it's a move to get them to, you know, because they wanted a stadium, because the old stadium in San Diego was rotting, and they wouldn't pay for it. It's about money. At the end of the day, it's about money. Justin: Now they have the Olympics, so. There you go. They're going to use the stadium, I imagine. Jake: Giants 0 and 4. Bad. Oof. Bad. Really bad. They are just terrible. They're actually just bad. Yeah. But that was a bad loss. They went down the end of the fourth quarter and kicked the field goal to win. Justin: That's what happens to bad teams. Jake: Oh, so terrible. Cardinals 49ers 49ers are 0-4 as well. There's your top three picks right there 49ers Browns and chargers again top top of the league picking in the in the draft. We're not gonna be up there and Raiders lose to Broncos and lose and lost car for two to six weeks Justin: Two to six weeks sounds more like a six and who's their backup? EJ Manuel! That wasn't really, they're not gonna play the kid they drafted last year. They're playing Connor Cook. Well, because they got two, they're two and two. Jake: They're not gonna go to Connor Cook. Because they think they can win a few with EJ Manuel. I mean, we've seen EJ Manuel play. He's not very good. He's not very good, no. Number one, first round draft pick. First round draft pick. Colts are terrible, Seahawks beat the crap out of them. Andrew Lock practicing. Practicing, that's good. This guy about three, I've heard three to four weeks after he starts to practice that he can actually play. For all you fantasy fools who drafted him, you aren't gonna get much out of him. Justin: Jacoby Brisket, OM4. He's the Brisket. It's funny, you watch him, he looks halfway decent, but then again, they're OM4. For more information on the KELOLAND dot com visit And then Chiefs really are good. Yeah, they really are.
39:00 Jake: Watching Chiefs, Chiefs, they're 4-0, the only 4-0 team. They're very good. They are a good team. They're a good offense. They're a good defense. And they've already taken care of the Patriots. They've got a running back. They've got weapons. They've already taken care of the Patriots. Like, they already beat them, which I think probably won't help them in the playoffs if they have to see them again. But that's kind of fun. Justin: What's crazy is they drafted a kid in the first round. Yeah. And they like them. Yep. But Alex Smith is like... No, not this Kaepernick bullshit again. Jake: Crazy thing, watching Alex Smith and his interviews, he looks very lean. Like the guy, his muscles and all that, I've never seen him so lean. I think he's lost a ton of weight. Like he's like, he's, they say he's like getting really good. The other theory that's out there is the Jets are gonna grab an Alex Smith or a Kirk Cousins. Justin: I'd love to be an Alex Smith. I'd prefer an Alex Smith. He's a little older. He's out. He's Aaron Rodgers age. OK. All right. Jake: Jack Keene to pick him. How are we doing? Let's look at the look at some. You're way ahead of me, buddy. Well, I mean, that's not even like why I would even mention that. It's obvious. Yeah. Justin: I think I'm I'm five games behind you at this point. Jake: Yeah. Well, I'm also. Like in second place, which is which is pretty good. I'm five years behind the terrace. The terrace. Terrible picks. He's 37 and 24. I'm 33 and 28. Justin: I should be. I'm 28 and 33. Jake: Oh, I'm the opposite side. Justin: I'm on the other side. Jake: And I'm just trying to win a game. Surprisingly, is one in 60. So has won one game. So there you go. You can you can you can you can give up on that. Yeah, you're doing pretty bad. Let's go ahead and let's pick the games for this week. Let's do that. Let's do that. Justin: Why don't you tell people what we're doing? Oh, why I pull this up? Jake: Oh, you're so good at your job. Jack Keeneham pick him is where we pick every game, but the AFC East. We pick him with the spread and we do a little bit. We leave out the AFC East because we need that in a in a segment we call throne picks. We talk a little bit about them and we pick a score. And then we finally picked the game of the century. So let's go. Let's do it. See if you can skip tonight's game. Justin: You guys skip all three of the first three games. Boom. So that's easy. By the way, bye weeks. Bye weeks. I started. This is the first week of bye weeks. So we only have three, four o'clock games. All right. Let's do it. So we're skipping the first three. So we're at one o'clock. We have Detroit hosting Carolina. Good game. I think Detroit's good. I think Carolina is kind of weak. even though they just won against Patriots. Patriots, really bad defense. Really bad. Like historically bad for them. But do you really think that that coach Bill Belichick, Jake: Super Bowl winning, best coach in the world is going to let that stick? Justin: No, I think by the end of the year they'll have one of the better defenses. And here's what I think is going to happen. I feel as though... Like I know their roster fairly well. I think they have like Five starting running backs on their roster So like deon lewis for example is very expendable, right? And he could start like he's a good player He could play on a team that maybe trade for some players. Yeah, they always do a trade
42:04 Jake: There's always a trade but they usually trade out like someone who's overperforming there's always a trade and then get back something like usually a pick there's always a trade and it's a player for player Justin: There's always a trade. I don't know I Think they have a trade in them where they'll trade a running back for a defensive player Jake: Do you think they're one defensive player away? Maybe well good in two weeks? We'll see if they're I think they're a linebacker away, and it's not David Harris anyway Justin: So I'll take Detroit giving one over Carolina. Jake: Yeah, Detroit one at Carolina. I'll take Detroit at home, please. Justin: Indy's a pick them at home against San Francisco, two 0 and 4 teams. I'll just take the home team. Jake: I have myself picking San Fran. I'm swapping that out. I'm going to take Indy, thanks. No way. Justin: All right. Tennessee is going to my. Boop, boop, boop. Back it up. Back it up. Justin Orr. My bad. Justin Orr. Alright, well, they're going to Miami anyway. We'll talk about that later. So the Giants are hosting the Chargers and they're favored by three and a half These two ohm four teams. Oh, it's a toy ball. That's true. Two and oh for two two, you know 2, 0, 4, and 9. 0 and 16. This is terrible. So I'm picking the Chargers because of the 3 and 1.5. How do you take a team that's 0 and 4 and lay more than a field goal? I cannot see the Giants because the Chargers are absolutely terrible. Yeah, but they've also like, you know, they lost the game. time. Whether Phil will pick or missed 240 something yard field goals like they should have won by the way Can we put him on the depressed list like our kicker? Why is he still on our team? Jake: I don't know. Why don't we have a rookie just trying to out there because this guy's missing like 45 is 245 She's missed now. I don't like it. It I don't like our kicker and if we're gonna kick Justin: We lost I don't like the field goal. No, they'll go more important than kickoff Jake: Yes, I'll take the Giants. I'll take the Giants. I think they're gonna rebound a little bit here. Justin: Philly is twisting Arizona. Philly's favored by seven. I think that's too many. I'll take Arizona. Jake: I'm flipping this. I had Arizona picked. I think Philly's a real deals team in Arizona. I think it's gonna get beat the fuck up over here on the East Coast. Justin: Pittsburgh is hosting Jacksonville. Pittsburgh is giving 10. It's my suicide team this week. I was out. I picked the pats. Last week I picked Arizona and sweated it out. Oh, yeah. Especially after San Francisco scored in overtime. Luckily, they just scored a field goal. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I got 15 minutes. Yeah, I mean the only thing I don't... Sorry, we're... The only thing I don't necessarily love about it is that
45:01 Justin: a team that's good at like... ...control offense. For example, the Chiefs or the Patriots, obviously. These are very good offenses, but a good offense. Get them into overtime. time. They could run an eight minute drive for a field ball. And then you're kind of fucked by the, yeah, you don't have the time, you got to rush for a touchdown. Jake: That's the thing also disappointed. We was just Justin: Edwards lock Edwards had a good. Oh, yeah, first of all fake punt executed Awesome work second a great punt. Yeah, that was in the overtime, right? Yeah, he really like a 70 yard puns Inconistent though very and he could either pound a pound it or drop a 30 burger on you But he really nailed that one that that kind of won the game. Yeah Good punt. Anyway. Pittsburgh, 10. Or Jacksonville. Jake: Or we talk about like, McCown and Robbie Anderson are dialed in. He has now thrown two balls that I've not seen in years. These just. Justin: I know the deep ball's in stride. Deep ball's not back. New stride shoulder throws, not jump ball throws to Brandon Marshall throws. Jake: These are in stride and hits them. Hit them. Both times it's um once it's a for a touchdown once it's him for like it was 40 something. Yeah, it's really good Justin: Yeah, I got Pittsburgh anyway given ten I'm gonna take Jackson You're gonna sit fucking portals at some point they have to because they are competitive like they're in first place A quarter of the way through the season you've gotta realize that it's a false first place You gotta realize that this isn't working just because you drafted him third overall like five years ago It doesn't mean you have to stay with him. No, uh, i'll take taxa bill. All right, uh four o'clock Oakland is hosting baltimore. Oakland favored don't like that with ej manual. I'll take baltimore two and a half Jake: Oh, wow. I'm going to a Oakland. He's Genos, yeah, he's probably Genos. Justin: Genos really even in his he's a back up still still backup. He'll never see the field because he lied never gets hurt. Knock on wood. I'll take Oakland. Good game. LA Rams hosting Seattle. Pick them in LA. I always beat Seattle. I got the Rams. I'll take Seattle. They always beat Seattle. Jake: I feel like, yeah, and Seattle's got issues, but I still think, I mean, I think Seattle can't score.
48:00 Jake: Well, they beat up against the Colts last week. Justin: The Jets would beat up the Colts. Should be a good game. Jake: I just feel like this is rival, and I think this is where I think- But the Rams always win this game. I and I feel like the Rams always win this game. But I feel like they're actually the better team. And I think Seattle is going to win. Justin: They're going to feel good about themselves and go in there and get a win. All right. Or be at home and get a win. Last game of the afternoon, this is the prime time. This is I feel like they're getting a little bit more Mojo going. Jake: Dax, Dax, Elliot's starting to run. And Dax, like starting to catch up. and, a and- and. Justin: and Doesn't necessarily matter who's covering it. Jake: Because even Megatron went and went up against fucking Revas. There's only one Revas though. Justin: You're saying four weeks. There was only one guy. Jake: I played against some of the better corners. Again, you have good corners, you have bad corners. Who do you play against last week? Justin: I don't know who they play against last week. You're telling me that he's played against four great corners. Jake: This is one of the stats that I've thought about there. You don't even know who they've played against. Justin: I could go look it up. I don't need to. I'm not going to. These are both. I think he's just a... big dude who can jump all catch it. Jake: Nice thing is we get to be at home and watch all these games because it's a lot of, I think there's like a lot of like, we get to watch our game and then we get to pick from three or four good games and then Monday night's kind of, Monday night should be good. Like I wish this was like, this is like a traditional. Justin: We got Mitch Trubisky out there. We'll get to that in a moment. Hold on, Sunday night, this should be a good game. Houston is hosting Kansas City and it is a pick-em. A lot of pick-em's, one, two. Jake: I'll take Kansas City. Three pickums and one that's a one, two, three ones. That's crazy. I'll take Houston and Houston. Justin: I'll take And then Minnesota at Chicago for Mitch Traviski's debut. The debutant. On Monday night, at least he's home, but Minnesota's a fucking good defense and Minnesota's favorite on the road by three and I like it. I mean, Minnesota. I'm gonna take Minnesota. Even though they're running back for the season. Jake: interesting enough that, that's another bull we dodged
51:04 Jake: Mitch Chebesky? No, the uh, the back one Justin: We were never picking him Jake: The guy that just sat, what's his fucking face Gwenan? Yeah Justin: He's terrible But he was one of the off-season guys like the Jesse B. Logan and Mike Lerman That was all media bullshit, he never visited us Good, but we didn't want him We didn't want him Alright, that's that's stuck cuz that's a young dude that you're stuck with I Suppose as old as you can say you're old. Well, it's an old dude that you're not paying nearly as much money And then yeah, it's like one year and you're done later Jake: Alright, let's talk about last week in the throne picks. I went two for two. I got the Nola, I missed on buff I missed on New England, of course. Everybody in the world missed on that. But I did pick our lovely Jets to win the game. I won one in three. Justin: The only one different was the Jets. OK, let's do the drum picks. AFC East. We have a Thursday night matchup. We have New England at Tampa. And New England's favored by five and a half just to throw that in there. Where's all the where's our spreads here kid? You did this so it's on you bro Yeah, I think New England doesn't lose two in a row so Odds are they come back and win this one But because it's a Thursday night and because they're on the road it'll probably be closer than if it were on Sunday So I like New England to win 27-24. I think all of their games... Jake: 27? Jesus, that'd be like the lowest scoring game they've ever had in their lives. Justin: Yeah, I mean...... I don't, I don't really want to pick them to score in the 30s every week. And this is a short week, so I'm gonna pick them to score in the high 20s. Jake: It's the last couple weeks on Thursday night, they've been fucking crazy. Because I guess the defense is they're saying that the defense are gas and they're tired, so the offense just has their way. Justin: Well then maybe I should make this 37-34 because Tampa's gonna score with them. That's true. I have New England winning 34-22. Okay. I could live with that. I mean, we both think New England's gonna win this game, right? No way. If they lose two in Uh, it's fucking Miami. Uh, what's the, what's the spread here? This was, this was a later one. You threw it in there earlier. Uh, Tennessee's in Miami. Tennessee's favored by one. Um, I like Tennessee. Uh, Tennessee's favored. You always I do this wrong. There you go. Um, you always do this wrong. There you go. All right. So I'd like Tennessee to score some points here come back off of a drubbing and
54:02 Justin: Miami the team to face after you get your ass kicked good remedy for that and Miami has a hard time scoring points. So I like Tennessee 34 10. I see you disagree Jake: I don't know why I think this is a comeback game for that. I felt the dolphins are if you looked at them Before the last two games you would have said they're not this bad. There's something's going on. I don't think they're this bad They're really bad. I don't think that I think that they look this bad, but I don't think that this bad So I think they're at a little bit barely score. I know so I think their defense isn't very good either I think maybe the bye week in the first week something's fucked up something But I think it's gonna click and I think they're actually gonna do well. So I'm gonna I think and I of the 27 21 yeah and 27 21 yeah and 27 21. Yeah and 27 21 yeah and 27 27 27 21 yeah 27 27 21 yeah and scoring 27 27 point yeah Justin: Like 13 10 Well, they are scoring like zero and six Cincinnati is hosting Buffalo. Cincinnati is favorite. Is it What's Cincinnati, what's, what's, a Cincinnati favorite by two and a half So yeah, Buffalo had Cincinnati, Cincinnati favored two and a half. Yeah. I think Buffalo is a better team. I think they actually have the better quarterback. If you were to ask me right now, Really? Which quarterback do you want? Annie Dalton or Terrod Taylor? I would pick Taylor. No. I would. No. I think your offense could be more dynamic. Regular season or postseason? Jake: Both. No. Justin: I think your offense can be more dynamic, you can do more things, and he's a trickier than a game plan for. On defense. Like if you're playing a game... So, I'll flip it. And we play the best players, you know what it's like to play Teron Taylor. Who would you rather see on the other team? Jake: Well, I mean, was it last year or two years ago that fucking the Red Rocket lit us the fuck up? Justin: It was back when Rex Ryan was the coach. He used to crush, he crushes Rex Ryan defenses. Jake: So, I don't know, like, I feel like Andy Dalton's a, just, he's an above average quarterback. That's what he is. He's above average. Justin: Tyra Taylor is. But when you're looking at- I get it. At the field and you're like, all right, there's Terrod Taylor and all right, there's Andy Dalton. I'm more scared of Terrod Taylor. It depends. Like I'd rather not play Terrod Taylor. Andy Dalton I feel is very conventional. But he's a bit- Right, but so is Tom Brady. He's a conventional quarterback. Yeah, but Tom Brady's like the best ever. Right. This guy's not. Drew Brees is a conventional quarterback. Andy Dalton will go down in history as the most average quarterback ever. Like, actually he won't even go down in history, no one will remember. I don't think anyone will remember Tyra Taylor. Jake: They'll remember that this guy started for 10 years in Cincinnati and went to the playoff 15 times or whatever he did. He never won anything.
57:00 Jake: But whatever. Justin: Anyway, I think Buffalo's going to win 17-16. We are all off. Jake: Are we even off the end? No, we're not. Thank you. Close to it. So I think it's. I think it's going to be close, but I think since he's going to win this game, 26-23. Justin: Then we have our jets. Jake: The New York Fighting Jets. Justin: The New York Jets on the road. Pick them. That's kind of embarrassing. That is embarrassing. Kind of like we're favored. No, that's like giving us no credibility for having Jake: gone and won two games in a row. Justin: That's giving us credit. That's giving us three points. Jake: Oh and 14 Oh, well two and two okay, who we like we like that's in there I we should be favored by a couple like I don't know about it. I don't I mean the other game Justin: So the other games where you have the like an 0 and 14 You've got two of them. You got the cold and San Francisco and that's a pickle Okay, all right. The cult but cults and tensors are both terrible. Right. And then the Giants, well, they're home. It's hard to say what would have happened. The Giants are hosting the 0-1-4 Chargers in their favor by three and a half. At home. Right. Which is basically giving the Giants. It's like half a point. Jake: Oh no, yeah, half a point. I don't in. All right, leta talk about the game. How do we-win this game? This will be your first game ever. I think in the offseason you're going to pick for us to win. Justin: I am going to pick us to win. It's all about turnover, baby. Yeah, we got to stop some. Because Kaiser Sose is a turnover machine. So I had not watched him yet. Like, I've seen some highlights, but I haven't watched them. I'm actually just going to be fun to watch him. It will be, again, so I watched his a college career because he, I,, and I watched Notre Dame football, and always thought, okay, this guy could be a pro quarterback because he has pro tools, like he's big, he has an arm, he can move. I think he um, misses guys downfield and is totally, I mean, I've seen bits and pieces of his games and highlights. Just seems overwhelmed by the speed. And again, that that'll happen. You're coming out of a spread offensive Notre Dame where he was really, you know, not calling any plays, just standing there in the shotgun. , I don't I don't I would that we could get like beyond the positive side of the turn over should Because that's necessarily happened in any of the games that we've played
1:00:02 Justin: Maybe the Finns, I think, but let's turn them over. Miles Garrett is also possibly making his debut. He hasn't played yet, and I think he's practicing, so he might play, so that'll be interesting to see him out there. And we get back. My other boy. They haven't decided, they haven't actually activated Jalen Marshall yet. Oh wow. They, what they have- Why not have the punt returner kick a turner? They haven't activated him. He's allowed to practice provisionally. But they have until Monday of next week to add him to the roster or not. So they could decide- to actually not add him back to the roster, but he is practicing with the team. So it's this weird provision and as part of that suspension, I guess you get a week to decide what you want to do with the roster. So they've decided to have him practice and I'm... I mean, listen, I don't know if he really has a spot. Like he's not really that good. I know you love him, but he's not that good. He fumbles, he drops balls. He's like, he's not big, so there's no like physical presence about him. He's got, he's got, he's got, um... He has moxie, I guess. In his moxie very fast, and I think he's got that, he's a, he can be a game breaker. Jake: You can see him take it and then just do something really good. Justin: I've never seen it though. I've seen it. I just think right now, they are going with curse, Anderson, curly... At the end of the day, the I don't know if you really want to mess with that because if you bring Marshall in I mean what's he doing? Returning punts? Okay. I feel like that's it. I guess. Come out of the dog. Returning kicks. Returning kicks and punts. But last year we returned kick, fumble, lost game. Lost game for us? Like that happened. I know. But I've also seen him like. You've never seen him do anything. Sorry, you haven't. I have. He's never done anything explosive. Jake: Let's talk about the game. The game. Are you done with your Key of the Castle? Justin: Yeah, whatever, I said it. Turnovers. What are you predicting? 2010. Win. Jets win. Last win of the year. So this is the game that, Jake: this is the game that the Jets showed me that. they're either a good team or just an average team. If they hit 20 points, I guess it's a low. Why do you think they're good? Well, I feel like kids, because they have moments where you're like, wow, they're looking good. Their defense is looking good. Their secondary is actually looking good. Their running game is looking good. They put up 229 points or last week. Like, there's some things that are looking good. There's some positives. I think they should be able to take it to these guys. I don't even think they should be able to score.
1:03:00 Jake: We could pitch a shutout in this. I'd love to see it. I wanna see our offense, week five. I wanna see them a little bit more, go for it. A little bit more, you know, not just to start with the run and like you get down the goal line. Like throw the ball a little bit. Like do something that's not conventional and let's see if you can do it. So I think they're gonna win. I think they're actually gonna win big. Thank you so much for watching. And I think the whole entire Jets world is going to be like, Justin: oh my God, the Jets are three and two. It's amazing. Oh my God. Jake: And then, of course, we'll hit the wall next week going to hit New England. But New England loses this week, which we don't want to go up against a team that's lost two weeks, New England's lost two weeks in a row. But they lose this week and then they sit around for the entire ten days just licking their chops. And going against the Jets, that'll be fun. I have them winning 34-10. Wow, 34. Justin: Yup. See, that's the thing, I don't see the Jets ever. Could be two defensive touchdowns. Yeah, I just don't see the Jets ever really scoring more than 20 points. I just don't think the offense is real to do that. Jake: I'm telling you, I watched this game and I went back and I did the math. And I was like, well, if they had gone for it here, they could have gotten seven. If they hadn't done the turnover here, they would have had another seven or three. See you next week. We had 30 points, 34 points in this last game. We just didn't capitalize on. We have to start capitalizing on that against the 0-1-4 Cleveland. I think we can capitalize. Plus, I think we have at least a special teams and or a defensive touchdown. Do you know that like Blake Bortles pulled down called Eely. by the neck. Like, how can that guy pull him down? Like, he's huge. Like, you shouldn't be able to pull him down. It should be like, just, and he goes in and scores a touchdown. Like, just carry him on. Yeah, he carries like a baby. All right, we'll be back next week. As always, Justin J. is saying, let's go Jets.
